We had a really great dinner at meat me. We all went with lamb gyros pitas - juicy lamb, chips, salad and tzatziki. Was delicious. Would happily eat these again and again. Fab service, nice atmosphere and tasty food. What more do you want?
I absolutely love the gyros platters here although I can never finish one to myself! But who wouldn’t love juicy tender pieces of meat (pork, chicken, lamb or mixed) served with tasty crunchy chips and salad? Oh and the best bread and dips! If you’re a small eater I’d say one between two is plenty!
Got lamb souvas & plate takeaway. Quantity of both was fantastic, plenty of well cooked meat with minimal dry bits. Nice amount of salad & dip. Chips were the only negative, soft & in need of seasoning. Well priced, will be back.
Have been here before but now with a giant pram and a little bub. I found it was too hard to get in to order takeaway..but this was not an issue! A lovely young waiter came out and took my order. He even took my card to make the payment for me and came back with card and receipts..
I even had an empty bottle for my water which he kindly filled up for me. He was kind enough to even offer me iced water. Being 38degrees today it was very appreciated!
The calamari was so tender and the batter for the fish so light and crispy and hot. Will definitely return. Great service. Quick and tasty!
Was talking souvlaki’s with a mate and it reminded me that oakleigh is the great Greek hub in Melbourne so thought I would go get my souvlaki fix. The place was booming the smell in the air so nice so thought I would try out meat me and I tell you it didn’t disappoint I just got the mixed souvlaki and wow it’s probably one of the best souvlaki I have ever had I didn’t want it to end the meat is so flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Will be going back hopefully sooner than later.

A big venue in the heart of Oakleigh. Plenty of seating inside and out. Big serving on the platters at a good price. Good meat and worth a visit. Don't order the burger, not great and shouldn't be on their menu, everything else is quality besides that dish.
My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and we were pretty happy with both the service and the food. We ordered relatively quickly, and the food was brought out soon after. We shared a saganaki, and I ordered a souvlaki and he got the gyros meat platter. That was more than enough food for the both of us, he even took some of his platter home as he couldn’t finish it all. The meat on his platter was absolutely delicious and full of flavour, my souvlaki had a good ratio of meat to salad to tzatziki. The chips were also seasoned very well. Great place if you love well cooked meat, and want a hearty meal.

I wouldn't consider it a high quality dish but it is a simple dish done really well. Overall an enjoyable meal that really filled me up

Really enjoyed our dinner at Meat Me! It really is a very good place and is clearly popular with the locals, spanning 2 locations on either side of the mall and an extra area in front of another shop closed in the evening.
Apart from the lashings of really nicely cooked meat on our meat platter for 2, one of the most enjoyable things about going to Oakley is the professional service you get from career waiters.
As soon as I come out of my meat coma, I'll be back!
If you’re looking for a Greek feast look no further than this place! You can get a true Greek meal here, and trust me you will not go home hungry. I say this as I lay in my food coma. The two person Gyro board can easily be for 3-4 people! So having it for lunch tomorrow! Recommend ordering a salad with it as it doesn’t come with one and reckon it needs some salad with all the salty chips and meat!

We tried the meat plate for two and a sausage plate. The lamb is good but the beef patties are normal. The size is huge but too many chips. I still more like the City’s Greek restaurant. And the drink is too expensive. One beer is at least 8 dollar.
Tried the mixed grill for 2 for $59, which is a bit pricey, but it's a lot and good! Can feed 3-4 people. The skewers and gyros are yum, but didn't really like the meat patties. They were still good but just a bit out of place with the gyros. Wish there were more salad instead. The souvlaki is definitely a good deal ($9-11), but the individual open plate is also pricey at $22 (only have 2 skewers for the skewer plater). Taste better than the place next door.
Meat Me have a great open plate souvlaki. I’d highly recommend trying it. Not only are the meals tasty but the portion sizes are great too. Thanks for a great eating experience 😁

The interior was clean & nice. It gets quite loud with so many people enjoying the food.
Good serving size for the price. The mixed (chicken & lamb) gyros plate I ordered was a great size for the price. Tasty, juicy meat. The chips were nice & the salad was a typical Greek salad. I really liked the pita bread it was served with.
The service was polite but nothing over the top/really memorable.
If you are in the mood for some Greek food, this place is your friend. In fact, it's my best friend. When I'm after a Greek feed, this is it for me. The meat - yum! Serving size - huge! Staff - Friendly! What more is there to ask for? I love this place, I love this area. Great place for a feed, great for a date and great just to catch up with some mates.
My go to place for souv. Can’t go wrong. Always packed so do expect 15min wait during peak time. The lamb souv is on point, nice crispy chips and nice charcoaled lamb.
Platter for 2 is already filling enough! Very generous amount of gyros and chips. Definitely 4/5 star on taste however it took slightly long to come out due to the amount of customers ordering food.

The platter has everything that you need and covers off most of the food pyramid! Tasty marinated meat, well seasoned chips and to balance this off with the fresh salad.
This is a bit platter so I would recommend sharing one or what we did was shared two (We had one chicken and one lamb) between three of us.
I would happily come back here again.
Took a while to get the attention of a waiter to order our food and that’s the only negative and reason why not 5 stars.
Apart from that it was brilliant, there were 10 of us and we all enjoyed our food. The Souv’s were the best I’ve had in a while - all extremely fresh and high quality. The kids meals were excellent too.

This place never disappoints. Yesterday, I travelled from CBD to Oakleigh in the hope of eating quality Souva. Since I ate in this place for 3-4 times, I wanted to try a nearby Greek restaurant which had good review in Zomato. But my bad, the food I had in other restaurant was pretty bad, completed half way and visited

I went here last night for the first time because of a birthday dinner. It was really busy! Luckily my group had already book a table, or else we would be waiting for a while (I really recommend to book a table if you are going with more than 3 people).
There are many selections of food, very clear and straightforward menu. The prices for the food are decent as well.
The food was amazing and flavorful. The saganaki tasted perfect. I could also taste the smokiness from the Lamb and the saltiness from the chicken. The gyros serving was a Large portion and I was sharing it with another person, but we could not finish it (I recommend to get the small gyros serving for 2 people).
Overall, it was a good experience and I will definitely come back for more!
Went here twice for work lunch. Both times sat outside. Cool being amongst it with the sun shining on your back. Tables,etc nothing fancy. Good lunch menu allowing you to choose a giros or platter. If you go salad and chips, platter works out better. Way too filling. Meat quality solid. A place I will go to again.
Yum!!! When you’re hungry for meat, this is the place. Although one souva won’t be enough if you’re starving! I’d suggest getting a mixed grill. Order a salad on the side or it gets a bit full on. Service is great. Will keep returning!

I've only ever had their lamb pita gyro mega because I like the "Aussie style souva" -- and only takeaway, haven't tried to dine in yet.
The restaurant is at least 80% full during lunch and dinner times.

Out of all the souvlaki places in Oakleigh, this has to be my favourite. There's ample seating outside. The service is always friendly and accommodating.
We always order the gyros platter. I only wish they put more feta in their salad pots! My mum had the seafood wrap and loved it. Great coffees too!
Delicious generous portions food with great atmosphere. The lamb was juicy and beautifully seasoned. Absolutely loved the eggplant dip with it’s high notes of smokiness. We’ll be back for more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great platter of meat and really filling. Chips are also really tasty. Love the saganaki. Genuine vibe of Greek hospitality and Vanilla across the road is great for desert after if you can fit it in.

We four ppl ( 3 girls 1 boy) ordered one set for four, and also one double beef burger, heaps of meat provided, but we all finished😂 if we wanna meat again, will definitely come back here.
They got a very pleasant ambience of Aussiz style dining with a mouth watering Mediterranean food. The restaurant is pretty buzzy so book your table before going 👍🥂

On a Friday night in Oakleigh, Meat Me Souvlakeri was absolutely packed and rocking! They were definitely dominating that night when it came to souvlaki around that area. Although they were packed, they have an abundance of tables and chairs so it didn’t take very long for us to be seated. For starters we ordered the saganaki which came out super quick and with a wedge of lemon. The saganaki was fried perfectly and was not too salty.
Ordered a lamb and pork souvlaki, which was delicious. Food was ace and customer service was great as well. Only problem is that service was quite slow - it was peaking and took around 40 minutes for 4 souvlakis to come out.
Have been to meat me on numerous occasions and every time both the service and food has been awesome! We always opt for the meat platter for 2 which is generous in size and delicious. Never disappoints!
Got the mix grill for two and it was huge! A good variety of meat and plenty of it for the price you pay. Meat was cooked well and chips were fresh and crispy. On the busy strip of Oakleigh, it’s tough competition to do Greek grilled meats well, this place are a good contender. With a grilled meat platter for 2 costing $55 you truly get value for money. Flavours are traditional, simple & fresh. Busy, buzzing atmosphere & friendly, attentive service. A nice one to try when in Oakleigh!

Ate here last night with the brother, we both ordered the lamb pitas. Delicious! Good value for money. Although it was packed out last night, the service was quite swift. The lamb platters look insane! We’re going to try one of those next time.
It was packed on a Saturday night (about 8pm). We waited for 15mins before we got a seat. We ordered the saganaki (soo good) and open platter of lamb / pork. The lamb was really good but not spectacular. It was about a 30min wait after the entree before we got the main which was expected due to the large number of people they needed to serve however we were quite hungry already and didn’t get to eat til 9pm! Probably will go again if I didn’t have to wait.
Come here often. Food is always pretty good. The only thing that needs improvement is attitude of the one or two of the owners who are generally behind the counter where the food is prepared. Never friendly or smiley. Comes off quite snobbish. Always dressed sluggish. It's truly the only turn off about the place. Minimum effort required to smile, be friendly and acknowledge customers who have been coming for years.

It was our second time here and it was as good as I remembered. Fresh pita with delicious chicken or lamb and vegetables. We replaced the Tzatziki with the eggplant dip, which was a great choice!

Food is fantastic, fresh and good price per head. Go their hungry because they will feed you. Only bad thing is the live music is very very loud which makes it's difficult to talk.
