Love love love! Best I've had since I was in Italy. Hard to find a beautiful potato pizza, the pasta was perfect, and the tiramisu to die for!! Will come again next time I'm down from Brisbane. The staff were also extremely friendly and provide a fantastic atmosphere!

One of the best pizzas I've tried in Melbourne. I have tried quite a few (Porco, Salti, Salmon, Gamberi) and they are all good. However, the stand out in my opinion is Patata - beautiful mix of potatoes, caramelised onions, gorgonzola and pancetta. Highly recommended!
Small restaurant that also caters for a small number of dine in eaters. I was pleasantly surprised by how refined the pizza was. It brought back memories of my holiday in Italy. Def worth trying it if you want something a bit more authentically Italian

Take-away pizzas on a Sunday night. The dough is great - fresh and thin. Toppings were tasty but a bit light toward the edges. I really enjoyed it though. New local favourite.
Despite requested added toppings not even being on the pizza, the pizza itself was still really good. However, I'm unsure about the overall service. Not only the missing toppings, but we ordered online and decided to pay cash upon delivery. DO NOT DO THIS
We handed over the money, expecting our $5 in change. The guy mentioned that he only had change for a $50, expecting us to hand over a $50 note. We told him it was $25 for our order. He just replied "yeah" and walked off with all our money. No change was given to us.
Regardless, he would've had a $5 note on him after it was made aware that he did know how much our order was.
Would consider giving this place another shot, because the pizza was good. But I'd be half half on overall service and management
Fantastic!. It has become a 'ritual' that I order two pizzas every week from this Maestro, chicken & seafood combination. The ingredients are fresh, and the base is just wonderful. Worth the price! The freebie is cute. Love it!

Best pizza i have ever tried. Beautiful woodfired base with fresh and good quality ingredients as the toppings. you can actually see and taste the fact that they use good quality ham. and not that highly over processed and crap ham that the majority of cheap pizza places use. Its one of our favourite take away options.

First time visit to II Maestro tonight- pleasantly surprised with a deliciously fresh pizza; quality toppings and a crisp base. Friendly staff. we will definitely visit again.

Best pizza EVER!. I truly miss this place - have never had a bad pizza, the Madonna being an absolute favourite! Their risotto's are just the perfect dish to warm you up on a cold Melbourne winters eve :) So friendly and consistent with service.
Il Maestro makes real gourmet pizzas. even their regular pizzas are gourmet quality. I had the maestro legend with chicken instead of the other meats...it was excellent and i will certainly go back. Wish they had gluten free...id be there everyweek if they did!

When looking for a pizza place, top ingredients are the key component and this place uses absolute top quality ingredients and subsequently the woodfire pizza is always superb and worth the slight premium over your standard corner pizza place.
Free garlic pizza seems to be thrown in for orders over a certain amount (I'd guess over $20), which is is a very nice touch.
Highly recommended.
Best takeaway pizza. The woodfired pizza here is the best takeaway option in this part of Melbourne. The ingredients are all very fresh and high quality - not like your average pizza shop. For example they use real ham slices torn up and fresh sliced vegetables and good quality cheese. The dough is like a homemade focaccia. The overall feeling is this is what your pizza would be like if you had a woodfired oven and knew how to make pizza. The cost is at the upper end of the takeaway pizza budget I would say well worth it.
I haven't had all the pastas, but the lasagne is very good and is heated in the wood oven with the pizzas. It is a good size portion to share.
They give you a free garlic, spring onion and herb foccacia when you order a large pizza and a pasta ($30 or so all together).
There is an eating area out the back too, but I have only had take away up to now.
Both Pizza and Pasta were 10/10 delicious. The friendly service was lovely too. Best Italian food I've had in years!

We have been getting our takeaway pizzas from here for many many years and they have always been our favourite!! Tonight we decided to eat in the restaurant for my sons birthday, what an amazing experience, everybody was so friendly and accommodating, the food was absolutely sensational too. We will definitely be making this our local go to dine in restaurant from now on. Great value.
Me and my wife have almost tried every pizza on the menu, not one of them have we not loved just amazing. Everything tastes fresh the pizza base is perfect.

The best! Fantastic quality ingredients and food and service provided with love,this sets it apart from others. Tony and Natalie made us feel like family from our first visit and that has not altered since our first visit many years ago. My favorite whether dining in or delivery at home,once again, simply the best.
