Pretty good for Indonesian food. Quite creative in creating variety of dishes. Taste very authentic. I usually take away on weekly basis.

As an Indonesian, I’m always on a quest to find good Indo food and this place ticks the box! Great and friendly service (they close at 8 but notice they still welcome people if they come knocking at 5 to), cozy fit out and most importantly, yummy food! Ordered the nasi goreng with samcan (crackling pork) and it was spot on with its flavour, ingredients and portion including its well balanced acar (pickles). Also had the nasi uduk with grilled chicken. The rice is light and not overly coconuty which is usually the case in other places and the chicken is grilled well, the char is soo nice. It also comes with many condiments like egg and eggplant balado (sambal), peanut anchovy, and peanut sambal. We had the batagor as well and whilst hubby says it can’t match the original ones from bandung (roll eyes), I find this is the best version here. Will definitely be back.
Beef Rendang special with 3 side dishes was very good and great value for $16. Also had the chicken and pork satay skewers. The were good. The owner provided great service but my meal came out about 10 minutes before my dining companions got theirs.
Partner had crispy pork Nasi Goreng Bali which wasn’t as good as the normal one.
My new FAVOURITE Indonesian restaurant!! Seriously guys, the food was AMAAAAAZING! Very tasty, generous portion, authentic taste... AND... the restaurant ambiance was done very tastefully! The highlight of my visit was the mie ayam special! I am a mie ayam, bakso nut!! So, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their mie ayam! Noodle, beef ball and soup, pangsit goreng, and even the sambal... were ON POINT, soooo tasty (even without condiments!!). So will DEFINITELY come back!!
The fried rice very good, but the skewer not good enough. And of course teh jotak with ice is the best. The waiter also very nice and help a lot.
Hunting Indonesian food is something that I like to do with my partner. My friend told me about warung Kartini, and I don't understand why people here gave them a bad review. They have very yummy Chicken Egg noodle, the best in fact in Melbourne. Their special yellow rice that we tried also nice. Don't forget the Ice Kacang, very nice on the hot day.
Been here and feel like to write a review, I have tried different Indonesian’s noodle (bakmie) in all Indonesian restaurants in Melb. And by far this is the best! Very recommended! Very authentic!
Their crispy pork belly is also delicious! Pork satay not the best but nice to! Will definitely come back for the noodles!
Had dinner at this new restaurant yesterday. Highly recommended! The noodles was very tasty and very authentic. Their roasted pork belly was excellent as well. Would recommend anybody looking for Indonesian to try it out. Best to call and make reservations as well if not there is a long que during lunch and dinners.
We ordered eggplant, soy cakes, beef randang, fishcakes, pork satay and gado gado, the chef did a good job! Will come back and recommend to friends...
Warung Kartini caters as well. We ordered a selection for a birthday. Today was our 2nd time. Arrived to pickup at appointed time & food was ready. Tasty.
Had the Balinese Jimbaran Seafood meal for 3-4 people, and was absolutely fantastic, like eating in Bali. Food quality was absolutely authentic and well presented. The owner mentioned that they have weekly specials posted on their Instagram page, so worth checking it out before ordering. Satay lilit was better than the ones I had in Bali!
The restaurant was near the station and facing the park. Very good view. Also the service was great, I had to wait extra minutes for my Nasi Uduk but they informed me why and apologized, I appreciated it. The food itself is great and the portion is huge depending on what you get. Definitely a must go!

The waiter explained all the specials in detail and I was lucky enough to order nasi campur Bali. It was very typical for Bali (not just the Indonesian version of the dish)
I usually visit Neleyan and Indosari if I need my beef rendang fix. Tried WK for the first time today, the beef is really really soft (stew like), wet and spicier than what I am used to. I prefer my rendangs abit tougher and dry.
