Loving the new vibe and work that John, Karen and the staff are putting in. Having it a family friendly place to visit it priceless for us! Well done...can’t wait to see the place get done up but I think the hard work is already done, changing the atmosphere of a place isn’t easy but you’ve nailed it �
Best place for an icy cold beverage or even a hit one. Great place for a relaxing catch up up or even a great place to put your dancing shoes on with all the great entertainment. Since this place is under GREAT new management I absolutely love going there �������
Visiting the area and saw there was live Sunday music. Dropped in for a listen and a drink. Felt like the pubs/taverns before pokies became the focal point. Lovely community feel. Families outside so kids could run around, plenty of others watching football, playing pool or listening to great acoustic music. If we were local this would certainly be our local.
Great place love all the events that you guys put on and love that u have zebyha coming back and playing there only thing I would say is bad is that need to get the whole place air conditioned other than that great place to go
Had a great night here - it was raffle night, which was a bit of fun even though we didn’t win anything.
We did however have some great pub food -
Herb and garlic bread, Beer battered Barramundi and Pasta Meatballs which were delicious and seriously large in size.
The staff were welcoming and really helpful, from the driver of the Courtesy Bus telling us the system on how to get a lift back, to the security guys being really friendly while we waited for the bus.
Would definitely recommend if you are lucky enough to be spending some time in Old Bar!
Food is excellent! We got beer Battered barramundi and rump steak and it was so nice and perfectly cooked.
But the bar looks old and outside dining lots of fallen leaves that makes the surrounding dirty.
Lots of flys made us uncomfortable eating in the table. But I enjoy the food. I would love to come back and hope to see nice ambiance.
Went for lunch steak was mouthwatering the sides were very generous but the gravy 😋 wish they could bottle that and sell it the staff were fun friendly and very accommodating will definitely be back
Went to Old Bar Tavern for dinner with my folks. The place was down to earth as ever and had a huge crowd in full swing. The food was great. We ordered chilli prawns and two roast pork specials. it was the end of dinner service in a bistro style kitchen yet this is what we got (see pics). Even the sweet potato (which I don’t like much) was seasoned to taste great. My mum who complains about everything said hers was great. Someone in the kitchen really knows what they’re doing! Beer was crypt cold and as crisp as a Malcolm Turnbull comeback. Gordon Ramsay would give this five stars, thus so must I!

The food is decent, the service excellent. The portion size felt a bit small for the price but we got free kids meals with it which kind of made it up for us.
