Review Overlander Indian Restaurant - Orange

A terrific Indian restaurant - possibly the best I’ve been to in Australia and I’ve been to a lot ! The staff are friendly and helpful. They were very patient with our large and unruly group. The food was absolutely wonderful - interesting flavours, immaturely cooked, a range of spice and a broad menu with many options. We had the vegetarian options and they were as good as it gets. On top of all that the prices were very reasonable. If you’re in orange, do yourself a favour and head to Overlander

Excellent curry house. Wide range of dishes available. Naan breads light and moist on the inside, crisp on the outside. Most dishes can be ordered by preferred heat or spice. Friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. Could easily miss it and walk past, as it is part of the motel, and looks like any other motel restaurant, but don't be fooled by the slightly "dated" or vintage look. well worth the visit!

First time here- and first time eating Indian food. Absolutely amazing. The flavours make me wonder why I haven’t tried it before. The staff are so, so kind. Always returning a smile, and listening carefully. The wait time was much shorter than I expected- I can’t recommend it enough.

I haven't had Indian in so long and I wish I could be closer to Overlander! Their food is divine, we wanted to finish it past the point of being full. The service was lovely too and the restaurant itself was really pretty. Can't recommend them enough :)

We just had a wonderful meal at Overlander Indian Restaurant! I wish this restaurant was nearer to where we live as we would go back again many times. If you are visiting Orange you must visit this restaurant. The service was friendly and welcoming, the food delicious and very good value for money.

Hands down the best Indian food I have ever eaten. Their service was friendly and fast and the staff were very helpful with how much to order.

Amazing amazing food!!! Best naan weve ever had. My in-laws are obsessed with Indian food and they have Indian food all the time and they said that you have the best naan they’ve ever had too!!! Really good experience in this restaurant, staff were nice, and the food came out less than 30 minutes after we ordered. There was definitely no let down in this place! Only thing was, if you could please make a sign saying “Overlander Indian Restaurant” instead of just “The Indian Restaurant”. It was a bit hard for us to find you haha

We came from Sydney to explore Orange and wanted to have nice Indian food so found this Restro with amazing reviews so thought will try it but we had to wait almost 1hr for the food and food was disaster. We ordered mix platter(Entree), fish pakora, chicken tikka masala( was too sweet even thought we asked for hot and the taste was horrible) and cumin rice( they just fried cumin in oil and threw it in between rice and taste was horrible)everything was horrible. I have never had such horrible food in my life. Being Indian I know how everything taste and it is not even 1% to what I have expected it to taste. All the reviews are from Aussies so I am pretty sure they don’t know what everything tastes like so here I want to warn everyone who wants to try proper Indian food then this is definitely not the place you wanna be at.
