Review Orange Ex-services' Club - Orange

Shout out to Kerry! The lovely lady greeted us upon arrival and she made the setting up a membership easy and fun. Staff were all fantastic and friendly, except for one of the bartenders. But everyone else had smiles and made it a good night. Members discounts were amazing and we both got our meals on time and quickly considering how many people there was. Good job to the team. We will definitely be back. Pokies looked good as well which we will have to try out next time!

My first crumbed lamb cutlets and they were great! The reimagined prawn cocktail was also excellent

My First time having Indian food in Australia. The food is just amazingly delicious. The hospitality is great. I enjoyed their food a lot. Now I love Indian food and becomes my favourite one. No online booking at the moment, just walking no problem.

While I was not successful at the slaps, (so never mark someone down for my silliness)... the food is great and servings are massive. Also the beers are cold and the whole place is enjoyable. Just watch those e-roulette machines.

Visited 9th May22 for dinner for 2. The meals were superb and excellent value. Highly recommended. Was so good, we returned the following night instead of trying/searching for another eatery. Clean, efficient, delicious. All you could want. Nice upmarket atmosphere, well laid out, and efficient cleaning and clearing of tables. Haydn - Newcastle - NSW

Dropped a client off for a meeting in Orange yesterday - first time visitor to the town - and had a couple of hours to kill, so visited the RSL Club. Excellent on every level, especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I have never experienced anything like it. I thought ‘customer service' had long since died, but the RSL staff proved me wrong. 10 out of 10 from everyone and I hope they are paid well; they deserve it!

Huge meals both meals were pasta and delicious. If you like the pokies it's great as the whole club is full of them. Clean and newly renovated but not much else going on

Always loath to leave a negative review but the management need to put a rocket up the staff in the restaurant. We stood waiting to get a table while 5 staff stood gossiping behind a counter. Then when ordering the lady taking the order was more interested in gossiping to the lady beside her than acknowledging us. Other people beside us also mentioned staff standing around and having a gossip. Quite sad as it is a nice club and the food was awesome. Some staff or management training is needed.

Would not recommend at all!!! Went for dinner last night with a large group in the kids pavilion, made by booking days ago. All of us arrived separately but within minutes of each other, but could any of us find where the kids pavilion was or where to check in (not signed posted at all) and my booking was not found at first. Ordered drinks, a beer arrived ten minutes later, then jug sprite ten minutes after that, after 20mins the bottle of wine with glasses still hadn't arrived. I had to ask for it and I was told I had it and then I had to argue that no I did not. You can't see the kids playing in the inside play area, because of the huge fireplace so when people left we had to pulled their tables together and we re-located from the big bench seats. That fire place is in a very bad position, it needs moving so many seats to sit at but you can't see your young kids playing. The outside play area was very badly lit, you could not see the kids at all from inside and kids outside were playing in the dark. It's ok in summer maybe but not any other time of year. Food arrived and that was the worst part of the night, out of a table of 14 only 2, yes 2 meals were liked (pizza and steak). The cost is very high so you expect a nice meal. But the portions were small and very bland. My husband's fish portion was so small that he had to order more food. Others decided they would leave and eat at home. The staff were very nice and can't fault them, they get the 2 stars. All the rest can be forgiven but the food price and taste, sorry to say can't be, you have lost four local families from coming back and from recommending your business, unless things change, but then again we are in no rush to return to find out. At least at the Robin Hood for $12 for a kids meal, you get, food, drink and dessert, kids even hated their food and that's saying something as kids are easily pleased.

Brassiere or should i say bistro?? Or backyard stall? Staff were loud and over the top, was it a circus?....Upon arrival was told cool room "blew up" and had a restricted menu... i wanted the beef rib. Apparently that dish was affected by the "disaster"... i ordered the cheese and bacon fries which i thought were meant to be wedges... my mistake, it was chips/fries. Ordered a mixed grill.... well lets just say i shouldve ordered a burnt rissole and 2 whole onions... the meat or whatever they call it was the size of a 20 cent piece and was as tough as my leather shoe... the mushroom sauce i ordered was watery and the size of a table spoon in a small "pouring jar"? which i would find in my niece's doll set... i shouldve ordered 2 serves of cheese n bacon chips...the sausage was nice, but that doesnt take much to cook as i couldve done that in my motel microwave.... as a regular travelling Rep... i will never return! Ive had better at a bunnings sauage sizzle! They should be ashamed!

Went to lunch today and had a choice of places to eat. The menu is the same in both eating areas with one having service and one order yourself. Very disappointed with menu! Wagu steak was a small piece of dark steak on a board with a few chips served in a tea cup for $33. The steak was tough and there were no greens etc. My chicken was not what was described on menu,it was awful. I was asked 3 times what i ordered because they had spare meals. I wanted a pizza for lunch but i had to get up and walk a distance to order and would have had to pick up also. The restaurant would not take orders for both the meals so i settled for the chicken. All the staff were wondering around and nobody seemed to know what they were doing. No value for money! Looks great, but needs a lot of work on their menu. Wont be back!

We had dinner last Saturday night in the restaurant and had the roast pork. I have to say that it was one of the best roast pork dinners I have eaten. Meat was so moist and had a great flavor and freshly carved. Everything from the meat, veggies and gravy had so much flavor. I have had roasts at other clubs and meet is pre sliced and sitting in juice and becomes tough. You can't go past the roast for dinner at the club

Dinner upstairs in the new outdoor area, The Greenhouse was absolutely wonderful. The staff were exceptional the food beautiful the atmosphere very welcoming. The club has made a great meeting place with family friendly food as well as a top class restaurant. Overall a fabulous new dining experience for Orange.

Not much on the plate for $21.00, small piece of chicken. The salad was a bit boring and thank god for the chips. The staff were great and. informative.

My wife and I went and had coffee at the cafe and had the worst cup of coffee I have ever tasted, it was like mud, they reoffered to make it and the second lot was even worse and they forgot our scones with the order and had to wait over 20 minutes.

Had lunch Barramundi fish cakes, they were very dry and quite dark brown from having been in the deep fryer too long and my daughters $20 hamburger tasted only of the balsamic dressing that was on the salad as a dressing, all up not very appertising at all

Visited the Diggers bar & Grill, worst stake I have ever had. Ordered medium rare, received well done bordering on burned under seasoned tasteless piece of meat. Could have been a piece of shoe sole for all I know ........ best of all is they were not even busy, maybe 1/4 full. Don’t waste your time, don’t eat here !!!!!!!

I ordered the ribs for dinner and was very disappointed....very tough and they weren't cooked long enough....won't be dining at the bistro again.
