Review The Ophir Hotel - Orange

Booked for 12, only 8 turned up. No problems for them, even though it was a busy Saturday night. Large beer garden with easy to view TVs (Australian Open was on) with tables and cubicles. Great kids fenced playground. Food was well cooked with sensible servings on the larger side without being ridiculously big. Staff were well drilled and very nice. Everyone in our group enjoyed the evening and will return.

Went for lunch yesterday with my wife and two primary school children. Loved the lay out & decor, atmosphere was great, not too close to other patrons, the beer garden/alfresco dining area was clean, loved the huge tv & children loved the playground. Lunch was delicious and good size portions. Didn’t have to wait long. Prices were cheaper than other establishments in Orange. Had the steak sandwich, fish tacos & kids had the nuggets and chips. Delicious, cooked just right. The staff were pleasant and service was superb. Definitely will be going back.

What an awesome Tavern. Really nice and clean. Lovely staff who are polite and friendly. Excellent food and drinks and great service. So warm inside , definitely needed in winter. VIP room for poker machines and smoking allowed while playing them, light snacks offered and drinks service while playing the poker machines. Kids play area. Large parking area. I highly recommend the Ophir Tavern.

We have had lunch here several times and have always been satisfied with the meals (we generally select from the specials board) at lunch, however may select from menu next time because there are many good offerings. Staff are friendly, and you never know, you may have a bit of luck on Keno or a pokie if inclined. Full TAB facilities available too but that's another day. Would recommend.

This is an amazing family friendly pub serving really good and generous meals. Quick and friendly service. Huge amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Kids had a great time in the playground too. Definitely would be back.

I am not a pub/tavern person so I was very impressed with The Ophir. Great little playground for my 3 yr old. My only grizzle was parents in the cabanas allowing thier feral kids to free range in the playground which made my Daughter uncomfortable. Lunch was very nice and worth the price I paid. Hotel is very clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and didn't look like they wanted to be elsewhere. Will def return next time I visit Orange

Good food served quickly but the early kitchen closing on busy nights had me a bit stumped. Because the kitchen closes at 8:30pm on Saturday nights there is a rush to order around 8pm and we queued for more than half an hour to get our order in. Quite a shame as it did effect our enjoyment of the night and everything else was very good.

This place is amazing .. it’s modern, upbeat yet so relaxing. The playground is the best in NSW I’ve ever seen for kids. The food portions are big, never had a bad meal there. It’s a must stop when we visit Orange.

It was perfect for our needs. Enough bed space for grandma and I. Loved the biscuits they provide in the room. Very neat and tidy. Also yummy food and a decent price for the food.

Couldnt of asked for better service. Fantastic staff and great food. Thank u so much for having us all.
