Review Anghiti Padbury - Padbury

David Thomson
Bought some takeaway on Friday night ..After eating it, both my wife and I couldn't sleep and felt our bodies were so hot all night.....Finished the food on Saturday night and had the same experience through the night and sore throat.... We are fine today but we are wondering what flavourings they use..maybe a bit too much MSG.....We only eat Asian food and the spicier the better for me, so it's not that...Big portions though... Actually, we have had takeaway many times and have always been happy before..Have had a reply saying that MSG isn't used, which is great.......

The first time I tried this restaurant but to be honest the food was very bad so salty bread as well. I will never go again very disappointed. wastage of money.

When you navigate Anghiti, come to this one. It is way better than the other branch. Amazing food, decent portions and we all loved it.. Authentic Indian food... Definitely coming bk. Wish they had a branch in South as well..

One of the greatest Indian food places in Perth. Tried them a few times and every time I’m astonished by the quality of the food. Only gave them 4 stars because they don’t sell my favourite Indian Kashmir rice :( hope they will in the future

Best Indian restaurant in Perth. We drive from Baldivis to eat here - well worth the drive! Staff are attentive and helpful. Portions are huge. Lamb shish kebabs are delicious. Prices are more than fair. Would highly recommend.

Best indian I've had in a really long time. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes traditional indian food.

The chicken was inedible it was so fatty and grisly when your paying $23 for a curry you should get chicken breast. such a shame as the sauces were great but the meat was disgusting.

Forgot to get photos. Ordered through Menulog and delivery was a little sooner than expected. Food was delivered hot and was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend had Butter Chicken and I had Vegetarian Korma. Both we great. There was also enough left over for lunch the following day. One of the best Indian meals we’ve had. Will definitely order from there again.

No photos unfortunately. Anghiti’s is always delightful if you eat at the restaurant or take away.
There food is delicious and always good value for money.
BYO if eating at restaurant. Staff always friendly.

Best Indian in Padbury! I
am never disappointed when I order food from here. It is always ready in a
timely manner for take-away and is always delicious. We always get good sized
portions and always have a little over for lunch the next day. We have also
dined in the restaurant and the service is great. If you are around the area, I
would definitely recommend Anghiti.

This is our favorite Indian restaurant. It is generally very consistent (around 4/5) however on Sunday night we got a palak paneer, chicken madras and garlic naan and it was perfection! Outstanding! So flavorsome, fresh and delicious. The palak paneer has great balance of spinach and cream (good colour - mostly green, and texture was great - not too blended up). Most of all though, the flavors of both dishes were insanely good! We also love the Konkhani chicken if we are wanting something with a lot of spice.

For many years our family favourite, this place is consistently good. Open kitchen, and friendly chef/owner.
Chicken tikka masala & lamb palak are highly recommended. Lots of other dishes to try, as other reviewers have mentioned.
Looking forward to the next visit. Keep up the good work, Deepak.

Highly recommend this Indian restaurant. We ordered the onion Bahji, pilau rice, butter chicken, raita and dahl . Incredibly delicious and great value for money.

Anghiti have been feeding us at least once per week since we moved to Padbury 2.5 years ago! We have tried almost everything on the menu and it is all amazing. Really unusual and tasty recipes for standard dishes and lots of never before tried ones. Dal Makhani is like no lentil dish I've ever had - dark, thick and delicious. The chicken dishes are superb - from the yellow, creamy Madras, the spicy Andra, Dum Anghiti and Jalfrezi to their very generous Tandoori Mixed Grill starter (which could be a main for 2 people) and Malai Kebabs. Reasonable prices, quick delivery... we have no need for any other Indian Restaurant. Keep up the good work.

Best Indian food I have ever had ! We get takeaways from here often and we love it! The garlic nan bread is amazing.

I was recommended this place by a friend and it stood up to all expectations the service was amazing and not to mention the food in a big Indian lover and have been disappointed by many Perth restaurants but the chef was amazing the servings were huge my partner and I ordered way too much the onion bajhi and chicken tikka was amazing not to mention the chilli nan and Dahl and chicken Labrador ( apologies as I'm not sure how to spell it) the flavours were amazing we were lucky enough to have left overs for lunch the next day. We will be back !!

Made a last minute booking on a Saturday night. Lucky to get a table. Extremely busy as restaurant was packed and so many delivery orders being prepared.

Once again thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our meal. Hot crispy naans with Daal Makhani, Malai Kofta, Shahi Paneer and Baingain Aloo. It was so awesome that I was dreaming about when I could get my hands on the leftover we took away home.

Worth every penny.

Amazing dinner. We ordered off the specials menu: chicken biryani and lamb karakas??!! (Can't remember the spelling!) no extra rice, just poppadoms. It was ALL so good..!! Yum yum

Extremely overpriced with very small servings. 25$ for a ladle of curry. Rice was 6$ maybe 50 grams of rice for 6$? Are you kidding? even if i was a millionaire i couldnt accept paying 6$ for 30 cents of rice... basmati rice in the shops is 20$ for a 10KG bag. Is that really necessary? Greedy... Little advice if the owner reads this, there is a reason why your restaurant is empty. Greed

Good food. Recently had the chefs special Goat Sorja, it was incredible. The Mango Lassie tasted weird. Staff was attentive and friendly. It's a bit overpriced for Padbury.

Great little place. I'm from the UK and have tried many places to get a taste of British Indian food and have been disappointed many times. You will not find a British style, chicken tikka massala, balti or korma etc (even though they're on the menu, they're just not the same as the UK) but what you will find is new and different dishes that are very similar in taste and style to British curries. The Chicken Andra is superb. It's slightly sour, slightly sweet and very hot with a thick velvety sauce. I must have ordered this 6 times already and we only heard about Anghiti about a month ago. The onion bhaji's are great too, I don't know what the sweet and sticky stuff they put them is but it goes so well. Want a good curry? Go here. You might have to try something new but you will not be disappointed.

Wasn't disappointed. The food was great, didn't have to wait long for our food and the staff were very attentive. Yummy and tasty as always.

Not impressed. We have ordered from here before and thought it was great, the prices are cheap and the food quite average but nice so we decided to go back. Last night we ordered our favourite butter chicken to have it arrive over an hour later and spilt thought the bag. He gave us $2 off for what was less than half a meal. The chicken tasted over cooked and almost like lamb. Won't be going back, I'd rather pay more money for decent service and food.

Delicious food, good service and great sized dishes.

Nice but expensive!. The food is nice here but compared to other indian restaurants they're pretty expensive!!
Mybigdoggy
Consistently excellent food. I have been here a number of times now and the food has been beautiful on every occasion. The service is friendly, a fabulous indian restaurant- the meals are inexpensive making it an affordable night-definitely worth the drive.

Love it!!!. Have been going for about a year there now regularly and the staff are wonderful and caring. They always go above and beyond to make sure we are enjoying our meals. A few language barriers every so often but that's not a problem, the food is way too good!
Ali
Very expensive. I've been eating here for about a year and have been happy with the food and the prices but all of a sudden my usual order of two main dishes, 2 naan and a rice has gone from around $48 to $68. And that's for takeaway!!!

It's a real shame as the food is tasty but these guys are dreaming with their pricing, there's too many other good indian restraunts around that charge nearly half the price to warrant spending that much on a takeaway for 2 people.
Ravi
The service was appalling!! The waitresses could barely understand simple orders, could not speak English the food came out late, no basic hospitality manners! food was average this time!! Would definitely not be going back to this place or recommending it anymore!!

The best food I've had in quite some years. And fantasticly friendly service too. Great night

Gourmet menu - exy prices. I found this restaurant to be a mixed bag. The menu reads with exotic ingredients so you get very excited about what's coming but then you are served very small portions and you feel that the pricing is too high for what you get. Given the restaurant is very small and the kitchen almost in full view, it has a bit of a "cheap" feel which contradicts the whole experience. The staff certainly tried but like another reviewing said, it is cold inside and I kept my jacket on the whole night. Despite this it is always busy and you need to book ahead. Not sure I'll go back in a hurry - for a local restaurant in a shopping precinct, it seems overpriced.

Quality, Authentic Food in the 'burbs. Ordinarily when visiting family in Pad bury I head to the city or inner city suburbs for quality, multicultural vegetarian food - however Anghiti offers some of the best quality food in the northern suburbs at reasonable prices.
The aloo koftas were awesome, great flavours and texture - am looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu during my next Perth visit.
Rob
Had take away last night ordered nine dishes and the food was alright but tiny servings and they didn't write on the containers what was what so no one even knew if they where eating there own dish very dissapointed after spending an absolute fortune thereno left overs either cause such small servings

Don't Bother. Been here a couple of times before, and it was OK.
This visit was not good. Cool evening they left the door open so I had to leave my coat on for the short time we were there. We ordered the quail only to be informed that they were out of it. So rather than go through the menu again I ordered Tandoori Chicken. Guess what? They had run out of this as well!
An Indian restaurant with no Tandoori Chicken, beyond belief.
So we left and went elsewhere. Sure not going back there again.

Going downhill. This was my all-time favourite budget Indian until last week. The prices used to be good and the meals excellent. Last week was very disappointing - didn't know any of the staff, prices were substantially higher and the food mediocre. A substantial trek downhill in less than a month (maybe 2).

To top it off we couldn't even get a coffee - at first they offered instant (!!) and then withdrew the offer of even that!

Don't know if management/ownership has changed but they need a wakeup call.

Love it - pices are good and food yummy! Wish they delivered!!

Hands down the best Indian takeaway I have ever had. Nuff said.

First takeaway was awesome , 2nd not so good. But I will go again, staff are good and helpful, to make my choice, and I'm glad the portions are good and come in the little round tubs which feed kids.
Jessica
Excellent takeaway! Lamb korma is fabulous and butter chicken also great. Lovely service with consistent quality, local customer happy here

Mains $14-25, we had dinner and found the food delicious and hot. I just thought it was a bit pricy for Padbury Shopping Centre. Good food though and friendly service.

Honest Indian Food. Freshly roasted and ground spices and great tandoori is what make this place my second favourite Indian Resturant
Jon
Nice and hot!. This place is authentic Indian at its best - proven when we went to pick up our takeaway and the place was packed with Indians! If you like it hot, this is the place to go - if you don't - well, they cater for that too :)
