Review La Bella Ristorante - Padbury

Joe Smith
Veal was very chewy and 3 thin pieces on top of which was a whole lot of mashed potato. Pizza base was thick or too thin in some places, Only thing that tasted pretty good was the salad. Had some teenage birthday party and couldn't hear a thing expected better for the price!

Started off so lovely then a sports team came in and we along with everyone in the restaurant immediately stopped getting served for a group of 20 16 year olds. Waited an hour to see if we could get dessert and even mentioned we were waiting when we finally got up to pay and the lady ignored my partner! Veal scallopini was awful :( Will never return nor tell people to go there

The owners here have been very proactive in making the place a great experience and this is the restaurant we like best. They always remember us even our favourite food or drinks even if we have not been there for a month. Highly recommended and i wish them continual success. It is what a great restaurant should be.
Amanda McArley-Pass
not worth the money, had spaghetti bolognase and there was no sauce and it tasted like the meat had come from a can, ordered lamb "shanks" and there was only one small one with almost no mashed potato or veggies. overpriced and no good
Noel Davies
Have been a couple of times - very good authentic Italian food with reasonable prices. Staff were really friendly and efficient - family friendly.
Tracey Smith
Ordered chicken carbonara. It was absolutely dreadful. A container of dry penne pasta, a few cubes of chicken and bacon. No sauce, cheese and no seasning. Ended up throwing it away. Nothing Italian about the meal.

Bought a couple of pizzas for delivery. Unfortunately I ended up very sick later thst night. Hadn't had anything else since breakfast so was definitely the pizza. Very disappointed
Nick Ruiz
Good food, good family run restaurant feel, slight delay in service although it was a busy Saturday night and they did slide us in without a booking.

I wasn't expecting much when I rock up at this place especially it was specialising in wood fire pizza. We had the bruschetta to start n it was surprising good as we had try many different place and it didn't taste like a bruschetta if you know what I mean. I had the fish of the day n it was really good especially the dressing on the salad n at the bottom of the fish. Also if you have an entertainment book they don't redeem it. I alway say a restaurant that does this will only encourage their diners to come back again and again. Well done guys I will be back

The food was very flavourless. We ordered the chicken parmigiana which was very thin and soggy. We also ordered the seafood risotto which was tasteless. I would not recommend getting take away from here.
Sharon
Unfortunately we were disappointed with our first impressions. The restaurant is brightly lit and sparsely decorated and has no atmosphere. We ordered our meals and waited for our entree which never arrived and then received our mains which were quite disappointing for the price, even with the entertainment book discount. We finished and couldn't wait to leave as there was no atmosphere to stay. The waitress was apologetic but we won't be back.
Melissa
Good food for a night in. Fast delivery for Sat night. Bruschetta was delicious and meals arrived hot. Thanks again will definitely ordering again soon!

Very friendly service, good wholesome food and at reasonable prices. What else you could ask for in a suburban restaurant. We are regulars

Got takeaway pasta from La Bella tonight after having pizzas from there in the past. Unfortuantely, we were extremely disappointed with the value for money. There were 3 takeaway plastic containers and each one was only about 2/3 full. The prices for each dish were based on dine in prices and not takeaway. I am used to ordering takeaway pasta and struggling to get through it, tonight we struggled to get 3 dishes to last for 2 adults and 1 child. The tortellini tasted nice, the penne was just ok but the lasagna was very ordinary - no flavour just mince and pasta. We get a far better lasagna from Woolworths for half the price. Based on this food we won't be rushing back.

We went to LA Bella for the first time last weekend
We were welcomed by the manager & staff who we later found out was a lady called Josie & all her staff are all relations
Definately an authentic italian experience we were never once forgotten by the staff
They have an extensive wine list
We ordered the baby goat as our mains & were absolutely delighted
The dishes were tender, flavoursome & all round DELISH! We then ordered Tiramisu which was actually my favourite by far (Even better than the copious amounts i tried in italy)
We then ordered takeaway tonight
2 x pizzas, garlic bread & of course tiramisu
The pizzas were authentic woodfire pizzas
The dough was cooked perfectly the napolitana sauce was yumm! & the toppings were definately not lacking in flavour
Definately our go to for pizzas now on
Thank you so much Josie & Fam we will definately be back to try more of your gorgeous food

This restaurant is absoloutly awesome, we have been on many occasions for take away and every time it just gets better. We are trying everything on the menu.

Highly recommended

Lovely people, soggy pizza. The restaurant staff were lovely. Pizza base was soggy and undercooked (had takeaway - live less than 10 minutes away). I wonder if the pizza oven wasn't very hot as it was early in the night. Average ravioli. Wouldn't let me use my entertainment book voucher on takeaway. Wouldn't recommend and won't be going back unfortunately.

Frequent Diners. Love, love this place. Great food friendly staff, can't fault, that's why we recommend & return

Siderno Tuart hill owners!!! They sold up and moved here!! We're so happy as it was Our favourite italian cafe until we moved north. Great value, delicious pasta, fresh side salad, great kids meal selection and great wood fired pizza. Really great value. Casual family style dining. Lovely owner and staff!!! Fresh and hot.

Local. Food average at best. Pizza base not cooked through, tough meat and appealing presentation in the plate. Mine looked like the chef had thrown it on the plate from the other side of the room. We saw him walking around in a old t shirt and grubby checkered pants hanging down which was a put off.
Owner lady very nice which is the only reason we didn't complain. She needs to sack the chef and get someone who can cook!
Ciara Niclasen
An absolute gem. This was our first visit and it was delicious. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food was tasty and it is well priced. We had the Italian sausage tasting plate for entrée and for mains the italian sausage pizza, a garden salad and chips.
Amanda Lalor
Great quality - very well priced. Great quality food at very reasonable price.

I had the chicken parmigiana for $23 and was well worth the money.

Big size portions and great staff - we will be back!
Rob
Recommended. Hardworking and very pleasant staff. High quality meals, large servings, all meals enjoyable and well priced.
Denise Craig
Fantastic meal, would definitely return. Under new management, service was fantastic, felt like a guest in their home. Meal was very generous, and the Tiramisu desert was amazing. Great value, we used our entertainment book voucher which was readily accepted, will be returning with friends.

Overpriced Takeaway Pasta. The prices for take-away and eat in are exactly the same and you by no means get a higher quantity for takeaway. For the price and quantity the quality is just not there. It's mediocre, and somewhat bland. Would not go back unless they lowered take-away prices by 20-25%

Excellent Dinner. Tried La Bella after hearing it was under new management. Fantastic dinner. Great service, awesome food and well priced. $200 for 4 for 3 courses and a bottle of wine!! They have a pizza/pastry chef brought out from Italy and pizza was sensational. Looking to returning again and again. Good luck you deserve it :)

Under New Management. La Bella Woodfired Pizzeria and Ristorante is under new management as of the 16th August with new faces and a great new menu. Available for functions, dine in and take away. Hope to see you soon.

Worst Takeaway Ive had. This was by far the worst Italian take away my partner and I have ever had.
We love italian and get it often, but this place is horrible and we will never eat here ever again.
The first red flag went up when we walked into the restaurant to pick up our takeout and there was not one person in there, and this was 7pm on a Sunday night. Prime Time!
The second red flag, everyone we saw that worked there was indian!
We got home and took all of the food out of the bag and we were very disappointed. We had paid $70 for this meal and there was not much to show for it.
The garlic bread cost $7 and it was 3 tiny pieces of stale, chewy bread with butter, no garlic!
The calamari tasted nice but for $12 there was not much there to eat.
My partner and I both got a pasta each for about $23 each and he hated his so much he didn't even finish it. He got the chicken carbonara, it didn't taste like carbonara, it was so plain, had no flavour to it and it smelled funny.
I had a chicken chilli pasta, it didn't taste horrible but I wouldn't get it again. It didn't have much flavour to it apart from a chilli flavour.
The chocolate cake was the only thing I would buy from there again, and it was probably store bought.
Considering we spent so much money I was extremely disappointed, I could have cooked better food myself at a fraction of the cost. I would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant.
Tip taken from this experience, when there is not one person in the restaurant and it is run by a different culture than what the restaurant is supposed to be...do not eat there!
Josh
First of all im not one to complain at all, but this was one of the worse takeaway meals I have ever had, the tandori chicken pizza was plain and was nothing like the discription. I will never go back to it. And over priced!!!
AiFisher
Pizza de mere is great! Love their pasta too :)
Happy To Eat Anyday Anytime Anywhere
Dinner there was simply beautiful and inexpensive with the entertainment voucher. Had a calzone and a Hawaiian pizza- fast, fresh, well garnished, hot and the service was impeccable. Definitely recommending this place!!

Went there with my friends to try some Italian Food.
Best Italian I ever had. The chef is brilliant, also tried the wood fired checken
BBQ pizza for the first time which was thin crust and I loved it. Lastly, the staff was super friendly. Over all an awesome little restaurant.
10/10 from my side.
Emma Ryan
Amazing! We went there tonight and they were full much to our disappointment. We stood outside and decided on another place. Just as we were about to walk away the lovely waiter came and told us he was going to split a large table for us. We ordered the ribs and they are some of the best in Perth. That is coming from some super rib fans!!! Great small restaurant. Can't wait to go back and try more menu items!
Shelley
LOVE IT!!. My boyfriend and I go to La Bella frequently because of the friendly staff, impeccable service, great wine selection and most of all their hearty, delicious food. On our most recent visit we shared the trio of dips and turkish bread to start which was absolutely YUMMY! The turkish bread is the best I have ever tasted and the dips very fresh. For mains I had one of the specials.. linguine with prawns, bacon, egg and capsicum which left me feeling very satisfied.. all the ingredients tasted very fresh and were cooked perfectly including the prawns which were juicy and full of flavour. My partner had a risotto off the special board too which he loved! To finish I had the Rhubarb Brûlée which a was the perfect finish to a perfect evening... I would highly recommend La Bella to anyone wanting to eat real food, cooked real good.
Michael Pasquale
If you're Italian, you wont like it. We had pizza (very average). I also had the gnocchi. Honestly youd have to be retarded to consider what I got gnocchi. It wasnt too bad. But I wont go back.
Bree Long
Not Sure. I have agree with previous posts. The music and decor are strange and need a refreshment. We arrived at 5.30pm on a Friday night and were lead to a plastic chair table as we didn't have a booking and the other tables were booked. The waitress brought menus and water promptly but took another 5 minutes to bring wine glasses. As it wasn't busy we ordered Chilli and Garlic prawns for entree ($19.50). Don't bother! They were cooked with chilli and garlic salt. I think the only "real" ingredient was the prawns. They also took 20 mins to arrive when there was only two other people there. I ordered the meat pizza which was a bit salty but also burnt on the edges (not like good woodfired pizza should be). Husband ordered seafood linguine special and it was nice. $5 corkage but also licensed. Worth going if you don't want to cook or wash dishes and use entertainment voucher for a free meal.
PerthGrrl
I'd agree with past posts, strange ambience. Really odd music choice. Went with the entertainment voucher so worked out okay, otherwise pretty over priced for average pastas in the suburbs.
Brad
We found the found the service good, food sverage and ambiance strange.
You will love it here if you are a baby boomer armed with your entertainment voucher, bottles of wine and your noisy mates.....
Nicole Seath
Food and service crap!. Ordered deliver through eat now. Took an hour and a half to get the food. they did contact me after 45 minutes and advised it would take another 30 minutes and that they would give me some free drinks. Well, it was another 45 and the drinks were a couple of 600ml bottles of water. They missed one of the meals and had to return about 20min later with it.The food was also terrible. The ribs were dried out, the arancini balls were VERY salty and the incorectly labelled 'mud' cake was dry and badly burnt. We also didn't get the ice cream with the deliver. So over priced for what we got. NEVER NEVER AGAIN! I will be contacting for a refund.

Pleasent surprise. We found this place did home delivery, Yes we love that a home cooked dinner and we don't have to move. We thought it was great tasty and the people seem very nice and well priced we have had it a few times now and we will be back good job guys I'm not easily pleased!

Great value with Entertainment Book. After reading some of the reviews on here, I walked into La Bella with no expectations whatsoever, but I walked out pleasantly surprised.

Perhaps it was because we were the only table in the restaurant early in the night, but the woodfired pizza was done to absolute perfection. The Gnocchi was also full of flavour and both dishes I would happily go back for.

Definitely worth a go if you have an Entertainment book.
Flushed Out
I recently tried this place with some friends. The food was quite plain and remarkably we had to wait for quite some time to get our food despite being the only ones in the ristorante. I had the risotto which was quite bland...but worse was yet to come...or more correctly go! 15 minutes after leaving, driving down the freeway, my stomach started churning. I just made it home in time to expell that dreadful risotto from my system butt had ongoing stomach cramps throughout the night. Not good. I will not be going back and I certainly wont be recommending the place to anyone. Give it a miss :(
Belinda Holmes
We love wildfired pizza so decided to try this place. Took our kids and our friend. The people are so friendly and accommodating but the pizza was very average. I had the margarita which just tasted like a tomato pizza, my husband had the surf and turf pizza, it had some chicken and beef and 4 prawns, kids had nuggets and chips which were fine and hawaiian pizza which was covered in tomato paste- waay too much, we couldn't eat a piece of it let alone our 6yo. Our friend had the BBQ chicken pizza which tasted good. Very slow with drinks and service, very over priced. It wasn't terrible but we won't be back
Local Resident
Terrific Food. We live in duncraig & eat at a number of local restuarants and have been eating here regularly over the past year. The food is always excellent and a great selection. Jay the chef really knows his food & Kiki always cooks delicious pizza's. We always feel relaxed and enjoy the atmosphere here.
Good to see Jay back from his overseas holiday Feb/Mar and back in the kitchen this week as he was missed.
Well recommended as food is delicious & wine very well priced
Yummy
Terrible. The food is very average, service is appalling! Don't waste your money!! Maybe alright if you feel like going to a cheap cafe but you won't get the cheap cafe prices, just the "feel". The waitress was very rude.
Never again!
Ros
Consistently great. We have become regulars and they welcome us and know us when we come in .They nearly know what Im going to order...scary, but really nice.Everything we have tried has been interesting tasty and there is a good variety of specials, always different Their Gnocchi is to die for..Service is friendly ,prompt and attentive.Give this local restaurant a visit ,you wont be disappointed.

An Evening at La bella...... Excellent is the word......Food was just great and the friendly staff tops it up with their lovely smiles.....to kick off the evening I had Rosa's Grilled Chorizo.....grilled to perfection I was left wanting for more, for the mains I ordered Lamb Chops.....which was so mouth watering that while writing this review I want more......God Bless thy Chef,,,,,,,,Will be back there soon.....Keep it up guyz....
Dave.....
Great place... It's a little unusual, being an Italian restaurant, run by an Indian family but it really works well! I've been eating there once or twice a week for the last 6 months and love it. They are friendly, respectful and make some great food. Kiki does excellent pizza's and Jay out the back does the pasta and other dishes. All cooked beautifully with a hint of Indian or Asian if you want to choose those dishes. Baban runs the floor service really well.
They are always offering good prices, and specials, and are fundamentally trying really hard to make their place a success.

I highly recommend going there!

Dave

Nice Evening. Love the service as the young waitress was very nice and friendly atmostphere.
We enjoyed our meal, no complaints and the port ribs to die for, we only dine
at places that have the entertainment voucher offer and would return to this restaurant for value for money with the offer.
Also the Management making an effort to speak to diners and see if they enjoyed their meal, which is nice. Also enjoyed the background music which is relaxing when dining, so all in all a good night. BYO nice too and corkage
$5.00 which is acceptable these days compared to some places at $8.00!
Angelq
The "la bella" pasta was awesome, I added extra chicken and the flavours were amazing! My husbands pizza was really good too, he got lamb for something different and enjoyed it. The nut terrine was yummy too. Will be bringing our friends!
Dianne
Amazing Food - Very Reasonable Prices. Highly recommend this place. Had a delicious Crab meat pasta (with fresh crab meat). My wife had a chicken dish that she loved. We will be back!
Juliesal
Very pretentious, over priced, really lacks good service, find somewhere else, plenty more great places around. Not somewhere I would ever go back to.
Anita
Bland, not even authentic italian pizzas, really stingy on the toppings. I have had dominos pizza that is better. To make matters worse the service was shocking it they were not busy yet our take away pizzas took 45min. Very disappointing

La bella The food as good .... La bella
The food as good as the name...
Last night was at la bella and had a best of a time. .
Great food
Great staff
Great atmosphere
Luv it...

Great Little Place. Went to La Bella last night. A little unsure after reading reviews and having been put off by rude reception about 12 months ago. What a pleasant surprise. Good food and no fuss friendly people. Reasonable prices and good special nights.

We will certainly go back and recommend anyone who hasn't been there since new owners took over give it a try.

Why ask??? When we decided to book a table At La Bella - we was asked if we had a voucher - why? What difference does it make .... Food was not all that! Won't be going back:(
Le Grand Chef
A Nice Local. We wanted to go somewhere local where we hadn’t been before, so we decided to try La Bella. It is an older style restaurant, but overall it’s ok. The fabric covered chairs are very comfortable and all of the tables had tablecloths and runners on them, (if a local restaurant can use a cloth tablecloth, why do some fine dining restaurants insist on putting paper over their tablecloths?)

When we arrived, we were greeted promptly and shown to our table. Water was brought to the table straight away and our orders taken several minutes later. The timing for the entrée and main was good, but there was no offer of dessert. They were very apologetic for not offering the dessert menu. The main meals were quite appetizing and I was looking forward to some home made desserts.

This is a nice local restaurant and one that we would be happy to return.
Pauline
What a disappointment!. I decided to use my Entertainment voucher tonight to buy two pizzas. When I ordered them by phone I was told that all pizzas were on special for $14.95 each tonight. I went along to pick up my pizzas and produced my voucher but was told that I couldn't use it as it was dine in only and they would be charging me the usual price for a pizza ($25.00), but two for the price of one. In other words I paid $25.00 for my two pizzas. So the usual price for one pizza is $25.00???? I ask you!! The toppings were very sparse. No way were the two pizzas worth $25.00. If you had bought them not on special and without a docket you would have paid $50.00?? I don't think so. I will never go back for seconds. It will be Dominos or Pizza Hut for me.

Fantastic service and amazing food!. We visited the restaurant for Mother’s Day.
First off, the staff were super friendly and attentive. The mum’s were presented with champagne and hand- made chocolates, which was a lovely touch. The food! It was fantastic. Although the restaurant was full, the food arrived on time. For the entree, I had the Pumpkin Arancini which was delicious. My main was the lasagne which was presented beautifully and tasted even better! For dessert I ordered the Chocolate fruit fantasy, which was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Will definitely visit this place frequently!
Ryaan
RYAAN. Had an awesome night at La Bella with my friends .Calamari was cooked to perfection, steak and linguine marinara were as flavourful and delicious and last but not least the dessert pizza with chocolate and marsh mellow was worth waiting for.Very friendly service , definitely will come back again

Delicious Pizzas. Never had better pizzas in Perth before. Chicken risotto and linguine with prawns are die for.

Will go again and again
Caroline
We had dinner here tonight and it was fantastic. Very attentive staff. We had the Apple Cider Pork Belly special & chicken risotto for mains and passionfruit mousse & chocolate pistachio terrine. All dishes were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Definitely give this place a try.

What an Evening!. We had the pleasure of dining at la bella under the new management. The food and Service was fantastic.
I had the Linguini Marinara, with the panacotta for desert and it was very very tasty. IF you read the reviews for 2011 under the old management give them a go again you wont be disapointed!

Entertainment and Special Deal. Dear Customers,

We cannot combine two deals. Either one can use Entertainment voucher or special price of the day.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused and always appreciate customer's feedback.

-----06 May, 2012-----

In reference to Rose's Review. Thanks for your feedback. We have recently purchased the restaurant and since then yours is the only negative review we have received. We had a full restaurant yesterday and we also had one of the best pizza chef of Perth dining with us. Everyone was happy and the chef was praising us about our pizzas and food.

We value your feedback.

La Bella management apologises for the inconvenience. Sorry it was a waste of your entertainment voucher.

-----11 Mar, 2012-----

La Bella. Dear Customers,

We have recently taken over this business. We are struggling due to Scoopons and Spreets voucher which were not informed by previous owner to us.

Unfortunately, if there are bad reviews about the food, we are more than welcome to take it positively as it helps us in improving the quality and standards.

Very disappointing and flavorless food

Fantastic !!!!!! What a turn-around !. Just been to La Bella......Such a change from the last time I was there with my family when I had had the worst experience . The new Management really know their stuff !! The menu has drastically improved. For starters we had the antipasto and the calamari( very nice ...Sizzling hot). However what really impressed my wife was the Duck Ravioli as it was made fresh and worth the wait. Even my Sirloin steak with port jus was grilled to perfection. Last but not least for dessert we had the Tiramisu and the Panacotta. Both were presented in an elegant way. The staff were really friendly and the service was top . I must say we were pleasantly surprised !! Will definitely come back with my kids the next time.
Mary
Shame. I was trying to call them early this evening to make a booking. I soon realised that something smelled fishy pardon the pun not good when it is an Italian restaurant. I went on the net and then read the reviews. So don't despair if you purchased your vouchers with a credit card call your bank and enquire if you can get a charge back well worth the wait. Good luck,
Sherry
Never tasted the food - No customer service sense whatsoever!!!. Tried to book but was told it was booked out but was told to "rock up" at 7:30 and he was sure there would be table available. We did that and was told that 1. The chef walked out so there was only pizza. 2. That we couldn't use voucher becuase we didn't book (why would i use a voucher for a 3 course meal when I can only get pizza? & 3. That we should email Jump On It for a refund becuase they are booked out until the end of the year (even though last night there was at least 5 or more empty tables).
I wouldn't be surprised if they will blame everything on the "vouchers" when it is apparent that they do NOT know how to run a cafe or any other business with that total lack of customer service. Unfortunately, this type of experience is putting me off the vouchers even though it is a terrific marketing tool to get new people into try a restaurant. But - vouchers alone will not make a successful business. Do these people expect to be treated this way when they go out to eat??? Common sense - it's becoming way too UNcommon.
Helen From Yanchep
ONE TO AVOID. It took a few attempts to book a table and we had two vouchers from Scoopon as parents over from the UK. Visited on Friday 4th November 2011 and the welcome was blunt and cold. It's not a restaurant but a cafe trying to be something beyond itself. We sat down and were given a menu, tried to order wine and was told what we had chosen was not included in our voucher deal so re-ordered, to pour 4 wines took about 15 minutes! The deal included Warm Ciabatta with olives, two Greco Salads, and two pizzas or pasta dishes, a glass of wine each and any two desserts per voucher. 45 minutes later the pizza arrived but we had not been given our warm ciabatta starters! The girl took the pizzas back and the white bread arrived which was frozen in the middle! It was not warm ciabatta. I complained and another girl came over and said the chef was in a bad mood and if we did not eat the pizza's we could leave as he was not cooking them again! I was slightly shocked at the attitude as they had forgotten to serve the starters not me. I went to the counter to check what I had heard was correct and the guy cooking stated he did not normally do the cooking and he was peed off, he was doing his best and he would not cook the pizzas again so eat them or leave. I pointed out I was the customer and did not want my pizzas before my starters and the bread was frozen! I mentioned this site and was told leave and write what the F*** you want. Hardly friendly customer service. AVOID IT WAS TERRIBLE. They did give me the voucher back to get a refund from Scoopon! Another Scoopon customer was in the restaurant and not getting good service either and we came to the conclusion they are anti- vouchers so why offer them and they do not deserve to be in business! We left and visited the Sarawak Delights Chinese Restaurant across the road and it was fantastic - read separate review and it was cheaper for a banquet for four!
Perth
Unbelievably Terrible Customer Service!. I have visited this restaurant a couple of times before and it's the usual average food/over priced suburban Italian. I recently purchased what seemed a good deal of a 3 course dinner plus wine for 2 people for $59 from the Living Social website. After being unsuccessful on several occasions to book a table by phone as I was told they were fully booked, I decided to do a walk up to the restaurant. To my amazement they had a number of empty tables and we were quickly sat at one of them. When given the menu I informed the waitress that I had the prepaid voucher and was then told by the manager that it could only be redeemed by a phone booking. I told them that if they wouldn't accept the voucher that we would leave, to which they refused, so we left. I have since tried to book a table but am now being told that they are fully booked everyday until the rest of the year! I have requested a full refund from Living Social and have recommended that they no longer deal with this restaurant otherwise it will negatively impact their customer service and brand.
Real Food
NEVER AGAIN. Went with my wife on our anniversary, We were greeted nicely when we first arrived. Ordered 2 drinks and a pizza bread for appetizer & some mains. We got our appetizer & drinks fairly promptly. But after that we left sitting there for over an hour waiting for our mains. We were the first people to arrive on this night (opening time) Everybody was receiving meals except us. We tried flagging down a waiter several times, to no avail. When we finely got attention and asked how long for the mains to arrive. He was extremely rude and said they don't start cooking the mains until they remove the appetizer from your table. Basically trying to put the blame on me for this poor service. Our mains eventually turned 15min later and my risotto tasted like macaroni & cheese rice. Also the pizza was flavorless. I would be surprised if this place is still open by Christmas. Poor quality food , very poor service & will never return. As for the waiter, he was lucky i didn't wait for him in the car-park at closing time.

Downhill fast. Used to be one of the best restaurants in Perth. Now you can order anything you like as long as it's pizza. EVERYTHING else is expensive dog food, but the pizzas are still good.
ShagtasticVoyage
Cost/Benefit. A pizza place with high places that pretends to be a restaurant.

What a Gem!. We had the good fortune to get a Spreets voucher for this little restaurant. The night was enjoyable, there was a nice ambience, the waiting staff were, if not experienced, very friendly and obliging. The food was not fantastice but was certainly very good. My only gripe is the place is a bit pricey for what they are offering.
Still it will not stop me from returning
Delish
So friendly as soon as we walked in everyone was so welcoming. Then the food arrived and how delicious and well presented. The entres looked great and tasted too Mains we generous and tasty!!! All over very recommend Good on a small business making a good go of it!
Ben
Okay, a bit overpriced.. Glad we had a Spreets voucher. The staff were friendly, but there's no real atmosphere; plastic chairs, no tablecloths, etc. Starter (pizza breads and dips) was excellent, but the main courses (a pasta and a risotto) were a letdown; the risotto was definitely not worth $28. Judging from the starter, their pizzas may be pretty good, but it's a pizza place, not a restaurant.
Shazza
Happy little vegemites!. I was a little reluctant to dine at this restaurant with our Spreets voucher tonight as I have read the previous reviews. I have joined urbanspoon just so I can have my say.
We were happy to say the least with our whole expereince. The staff happy, friendly and attentive and only willing to help out as we had our 2 little ones with us.
The food.....yummmoooooooo.....loved the pizza bread and dips, especially the pesto one mmmmmm. Our mains were just as nice, hubbie had a pizza which was very nice and I had the pasta arabiatta......bit of a chilli kick but it was yummo. The kids spag bog was great too.
All in all a lovely evening, good food, good wine and great staff!
Keep it up

Appalling service & average food. Myself and quite a few friends were at La Bella last night to celebrate a birthday... Unfortunately the ever mounting disappointments that the staff delivered were unbelieveable! Firstly we ordered a range of entree's for our two tables well in advance but these took forever to arrive - on arrival they were very nice, so the wait didn't matter as much. Mains unfortunately took a very long time to arrive too - and this is where the disappointments really started to unravel. Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. A steak ordered blue arrived medium, with the excuse "Oh sorry I heard medium, not blue" How the word blue can be mistaken for medium is beyond me. They did offer to cook a new steak, which was nice - but after the long wait for the first one it was not a viable option, so it was accepted as is. A Greek salad only 1/2 eaten was removed from the table without even asking if it was finished with. One of the pizza's did not arrive at all, and after finally getting a waiters attention we were told it was forgotten. Apologies were made and a promise of making it very fast was offered - but again after the long wait initially, it was not an option, so that order was cancelled. Then miraculously a pizza was bought out 5 minutes later saying "This is your pizza, we just made it" It was quite burnt looking and not appealing at all, so it was declined - much to the obvious disgust of the waiter. Then a different staff member (manager?) came to our table and told the lady who declined the burnt pizza that she could not drink any more alcohol without having a main meal. She agreed to this, but was then threatened with a statement that the staff would be 'watching her like a hawk to make sure she didn't drink' And sure enough she had to endure uncomfortable stares from a number of the staff for the remaining evening. To add to all of that, the attitude of all staff who came to our table changed dramatically and was downright rude and obnoxious!
I can understand that mistakes are made, and I would never blame a restaurant for a mistake IF they genuinly apologise and offer some means of making up for it. But I cannot believe that a relativly new restaurant has little regard for inciting customers to return, and is quite hell bent on turning customers away! I would say that from last nights dinner - they would have lost the custom of at least 8-10 people who all live quite close to Padbury, not to mention every other person which we'll advise to steer clear of this place. I hope this restaurant gets taken over by new management soon, as it would be great to have a woodfired pizza restaurant that is a pleasure to return to.

I'm sorry - but it is terrible!. Don't like leaving bad reviews, but I did not like this place. We went with a voucher - and were treated like voucher customers. The staff all seemed a little stressed/running around which did not make for a relaxing environment. It is a fairly small restaraunt.
Our calamari was fairly heavily battered, as a restaraunt it's a nice touch to just lightly batter the calamari so it doesn't feel like a pub - but all in all it was ok.
Our glass of wine each did not come! We kept trying to get the waiters and waitress attention - but to no avail. We were left sitting there watching everyone else get their drinks. Eventually we had to ask, it seemed we were forgotten. Normally places give you your drinks straight away in hope you will order more.

But the single biggest let down that has made me never go back to this restaraunt? My spaghetti marina, a dish I love and have had many of - and never not once has it come with SHRIMP. And the shrimp was also broken up. It was so so small. Not ONE normal sized prawn - unacceptable for a restaraunt. The sauce was far to rich for a marina. And the squid was also small. It did come with mussels also, no fish or scallops.
Hands down the worst marina I have ever had. And that is saying something.

Total utter let down, and we were hoping for a new local to eat at!

I would encourage this restaraunt to use fresh seafood, and use some real sized prawns in your marina. It is better to have only 2 quality prawns on a pile of spaghetti rather than chopped up shrimp sparingly tossed through! Not on!

Amazing service and delicious food. My partner and I arrived on the wrong day of our booking (my fault) and the lady behind the counter was very helpful and gave us a table that night even though they were busy.
We had the spreets voucher and the quality of the food and services made me feel bad for paying so little for such delicious meals! we tipped them about $17 dollars we were so impressed.
keep up the good work guys we will definitely be back :)

Dont do it. First off on arrival at La Bella our table was only booked for two not four. Our starters arrived which where ok until my wife found a side helping of caterpiller.our main courses came two pizzas and a plate of bones think they where literally just ribs which my boys did not eat.my pizza did not have the topping that was on the menu so i had to wait for another one.Good job i had my spreets voucher or i would have been seriously pissed off.I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

No second chances. Whilst the food was good, their idea of customer service is severly lacking. My pizza came not as I had ordered it, which was disappointing considering the lengthy conversation we had about the order change - but I could live with that. But when we went to leave, my partner asked for the half that was left to be boxed up so we could take it home. He then walked to the door of the resaurant so he could unlock the car for me and when he went back to the counter - 30 seconds later - and they had thrown it in the bin. I called the next afternoon to say how disappointed I was and their respsonse was totally disinterested, with the excuse that they thought we had left (in such a short time when we had specifically asked for it to be boxed up ?!?!?). She then would not listen to what I had to say by continually speaking over me and then she hung up on me. I am all for supporting local small businesses, but if they don't value customers, then I will take my custom elsewhere and make sure I tell everyone I know about my bad experience so they don't encounter the same.

Gourmet pizzas. Went there a couple of weeks back and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Something the area lacked was a decent wood fired pizza place
Beef Curry Fish Nachos Pad Thai Pasta Salad
