What a beautiful meal, succulent meat and great flavours.
My wife and I are seasoned curry connoisseurs and I would highly recommend the Bay Leaf in Palmwoods.
We have also eaten at DaWatt in Maleny which is excellent but the food at the Bay Leaf is also sensational and well worth trying.
Outstanding. 17 years down under and the best Indian meal, without question. Well done. Finally authentic. Fresh. More. We will be back despite the 30km drive. The young staff are delightful, the food exceptional. 20/10

Good Indian food is hard to find. Best butter chicken ever and hubby loved the vindaloo which actually had heat like it’s supposed to. A+++ naan too. In fact it was all A+++. Thank you �

Best Indian on the coast. The staff are very friendly and show true caring to their customers. We have been going once a week for months now and still love it! Definetely recommend

Ordered 4x meals plus entrees, 3x large rices and a couple drinks. Food was ready within 20 minutes. Old mate working was friendly and patient while we tried to find the right card to pay 😂 food was SO GOOD once we got home.

Went to the Bay Leaf in Palmwoods today as a local wanting to support local business instead of buying my "Friday treat meal" from big takeaway chains. I ordered a large medium lamb korma with a large basmati rice and garlic naan bread.
I was impressed firstly with the service, the staff were friendly but told me the wait would be 35mins. To my great delight they gave me my order after not even 15mins.
Taste of the curry was authentic, I could taste the spices they put in, very yummy and not overly sweet like I find some Indian places make their curries. I ordered medium but it wasn't hot at all so not sure what happened there. (and I'm not like a hard core chilli girl, I like a little bit, can't deal with anything drastic).
Rice was yummy and the naan bread was well made, only feedback I would have for the owners is to use freshly pressed garlic as the garlic tasted like it was out of a jar and I think that really makes a difference to good garlic taste.
Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend! Thank you for a delicious lamb korma.
Just wanted to give this Restaurant a quick shoutout
Yesterday I ordered some pick up food in the belief that it is the Bay leaf restaurant around the corner where we live.
After receiving a message that the food was ready to be picked up, my husband drove there, just to ring me and tell me the Restaurant was closed.
I went back to my order and then realized that I actually ordered from Bay leaf Palmwoods.
About a 2 hours drive from the Gold Coast where we live.
I gave them a call and told them what had happened. They told me that the food was ready and that they could not do much about it. I completely understood this and said good bye to my money.
A couple of minutes later they called me back to tell me that they would not charge me for the food.
Thank you so much, this was something they did not have to do.
Very impressed, and should we ever be in the area we certainly will dine at this restaurant.
Was up in Cairns on a holiday last week and I had the Set A for $24 which was such good value! Full of flavour and variety and certainly fills you up. Was surprised at the end because I forgot about the platter of fruit (and not just one kind of fruit either). Definitely do not miss! Will have to go back when I'm up there again.
The business has been just re-opened under new management. I really like indian cuisine and must say that this restaurant provides the best food in its kind. On the top of that, it is affordable and you get your food pretty quickly. I will definitely go there again and I am highly recommending it to others.
