Review Neo Thai Vibe - Parkdale

I hate to criticise but the food at Neo Thai PARKDALE is less than average. Unfortunately their food lacks any authenticity as It has been grossly westernised with sickly sweet sauces and repetitive flavours and ingredients. My “crispy fish with celery and thai herbs” ended up as a plate of deep fried fish with standard thai vegetables (thin slices of carrot, chunks of onion and broccoli) with zero celery and no a single thai herb in sight. The sauce was purely salt and sugar and corn flour to thicken it. My plate looked just like every other meal being served. On a separate note the waitress was pleasant and service was quick. Sadly we won’t be back.

Great atmosphere, decent serving portions and dog friendly! The restaurant has a cosy outdoor seating area making it a great spot for you to bring your fur babies along. The food was okay, but you've probably had better Thai food elsewhere. But this place has it's own charm, and also very close to mentone beach.

The food is always the same , at times during covid you had to wait … ( hello ) but I’d rather wait and have the same experience, I’ve been eating the amazing deliciousness for 2 years …..Thai people are authentically beautiful souls , which is attributed to their home land …. The staff are always polite & so beautiful!!!!

On their website it says open, on Google it says open and on their answering machine it says open. Why is it then that when I come all the way here it's closed? Update your details this is highly irritating to come all this way

Worst food and service ever!! Ordered messed up twice (gave my order to someone else) so waited for an hour on dead night. Gave the plain rice instead of coconut rice. So took them back and asked them these are not the coconut rice but instead of apology guy from kitchen came and started yelling this is what we do and this is what it is. Very very disappointing ad worst customer experience. Left the container of rice on their table without any refund or apology. Never will pass by their place . Stay away if you can!

The food here is fantastic, such a great variety of choices, so far I haven't had a bad experience and I've been multiple times. Service can be a little slow sometimes but that just happens when it's busy. Great price to tasty ratio 👌

Food is really delicious and it is a very relaxing atmosphere to enjoy with your friends! Had chicken satay, spring rolls, pad Thai and chicken green curry!

Very disappointing. It started badly with rude waitress. I ordered pad krapow. The meat was very tough and grisly. <br/>We will not returning again.

Been coming to Neo Thai for about 5 years and the food until recently has been good. Roti has become hideously overpriced, takeaway l just tried to eat had soggy and cold spring rolls, tough pork skewers and tough chicken with the noodles, really expensive and took forever when there were only two people in the restaurant. Not happy , not coming back.

Have been getting my take away thai from neo thai vibe for the last year and a half or so. Love the food always full of flavour and delicious. Personally love the vegan satay veggies, the thai basic & chilli vegetables and the vegan spring rolls and curry puff (omg the curry puffs!!!!). The only thing letting them down is the service :( always very polite and lovely.. just slow. Just recently I ordered and had to wait 30mins (fair enough) but when I arrived they hadn’t seen my order come through so therefore had to wait another 15. Hopefully they get organised better and my review would certainly go up.

Good food but confirmed twice about getting the pay Thai made vegetarian and still came home with bits of chicken in it. <br/>Hopefully they will get the order right next time, not ideal for strict vegetarians

Wonderful food, great service. Love this little local! The ginger seafood dish is exceptional! Tom Yum & Fish cakes are also a favourite in our house.

First Thai restaurant in the area I've been genuinely happy with! Love the red curry, pad see ew and roti bread. Plenty of leftovers too for the next day!

The food was good Thai. The desserts are great!!! I had the little taro balls. Delicious! The coconut milk sticky rice with Durian was also delightful! Great neighbourhood gem.

It's great to have an authentic Thai restaurant locally! Service is fantastic. Though the restaurant is a bit small to eat in, but it's very cosy~ Should give it a try!

Awful, the vegetarian curry puffs tasted like a sweet banana fritter, pad tom yum chicken tasted purely of ginger, pad Thai was average. Worst of all had to wait 1 hour to get takeaway and we ordered it at 5, not even peak time! Won't be coming back, very disappointing 👎🏽 I came home and had a piece of toast for dinner because I couldn't eat it

$5.50 for two baby dumplings - what a joke. And the green curry was nothing to rave about. I was really excited to give this places a go however I was disappointed to say the least. No vibe about this place.

A lot of Thai restaurants around this area, this is pushing for the number one spot. Great food / service. Don't be scared to try the specials! Delicious.

Give it a try! Neo Thai Vibe Parkdale. A new try for us, and we were not disappointed! It seemed to be authentic and good value for money. The restaurant itself is pretty small so go early, or ring for a booking. The dishes are just the right size, and all very tasty. The decor is fun and makes a good atmosphere. The food was nicely served, especially the grilled pork on skewers. The service was user friendly, a lovely finish with pieces of cantelope brought to the table, a favorite for mine now.

Pad Kee Mao with beef, what a rockstar of a dish! seriously on point. The rest meh decent enough

Average Food - Awful Service. I think it's important to have good local restaurants in which you trust. Unfortunately Neo Thai Vive doesn't fit into that category.<br/><br/>The food is just average - nothing that makes it stand out from a number of Thai restaurants in nearby suburbs. The tables are also very close together, making any sort of intimate conversation impossible.<br/><br/>The service is terrible:<br/> - People who came in after us had their drinks and entrees before our order was taken<br/>- We had to ask for our menus<br/>- We had to ask to order<br/>- We had to ask for our beers after they'd been ordered<br/>- My wife had finished her entree before mine arrived<br/><br/>Things were OK after that, although one sensed people at other tables were having the same sorts of frustrations.<br/><br/>It's time to bite the bullet and drive just that little bit further to Springvale.

First time we've tried this little local Thai and were really pleased! Absolutely gorgeous takeaway and will definitely order from there again. Yummy!

Disappointing in every way. I went to Neo Thai Vibe on a Wednesday night, to order some takeaway. I ordered two mains, two entrees and rice, and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes.<br/><br/>After FIFTY minutes, the order was ready. No apology from the waiter.<br/><br/>The food was terrible. The spring rolls were stone cold (as though they had been cooked for the original 25 minute time estimate) and the pan fried dumplings were soggy. The chicken and prawn pad thai contained precisely two prawns, two pieces of tofu and four pieces of chicken - no greens - and was close to flavourless. The rice was cold. The roti was cold (and hard). The red duck stir fry was okay at best.<br/><br/>After eating, we all felt like our lips were covered with a layer of grease and oil.<br/><br/>Everything about this meal was disappointing and we won't be going back.

Disappointing. After reading all of the reviews,we decided to try this restaurant and were really disappointed not with the food but with the level of service or lack of service,they brought our mains to the table before we had even finished our entrees, and I had to ask them to take it back to kitchen until we had finished,we were never asked if we wanted desserts or coffee,they were very disinterested overall really disappointing and will not be returning.

This immediately became my favourite Thai take-away in Parkdale and surrounding suburbs. The food is absolutely delicious and the flavours are incredible! I would definitely recommend!

Neo Thai Vibe is a great little Thai. The curries and stir fries are always full of flavour. The menu is diverse and staff are willing to accommodate the level of spiciness! They have a few beers available and even beer on tap.

Worst Thai ever. Just had the worst Thai experience I have ever had.<br/>Poor Service, when we complained about the serving (half full take away) they said take it or have a refund and never return.<br/>Go to Shallots Much better food and service

GREAT food and AFFORDABLE. I love my thai food, and usually my boyfriend and I go to a few places that we think are 'alright', then we went to Neo Thai Vibe, and we keep going back! We haven't been anywhere else in the last 6 months. This is probably not the kind of place you want to sit down for a meal, as it is quite small. But if you're just a couple or feel like going out, it's not too bad. HOWEVER, the food is AMAZING. The Pad Prig Kee Nu is unbelievable! One of the best thai dishes i've had from anywhere. The stir fry's are also really really good! Usually we order from here as take away so we can enjoy it at home, and it's never over $30 for 2 main dishes and rice for 2!

Real slow service on valentine's day. I can't give this place a bad comment, however they reli need to improve their speed of customer service, only 1 person worked on valentine's day, all the customers looked impatient already, we hv been waited for nearly 45 mins for only a plate of mixed entree, that's only 1 piece of each deep fried stuff, and another 20 mins wait each of our mains! we almost fell asleep,not joking. Not so happy for our valentine's dinner honestly, there was not so reasonable that only hired one waitress to do cleaning tables/served food to customers/ pick up fone calls...etc. <br/><br/>the green curry is too milky, and sweet. <br/><br/>i may go back there, but not in any busy days tho.

Good. Dined here and was certainly not disappointed with the quality of food. Ample servings and very tasty food. However, it is not the best Thai Restaurant we have dined at. I would dine here again if I was in the area. Well worth a visit - see for yourself

Cheers3535. Four of us visited this restaurant recently and the food was good, but a little overpriced. There are limited gluten free options, but they are aware of what gluten free cooking is all about. The restaurant is clean and appealing and staff are very friendly. There are many other good restaurants to visit so doubt if we will return to this one.

Impressed. Small, cosy setup with a very nice atmoshpere. Have found the food to be very good and quite reasonably priced. This has become our local!
