This is a great little cafe in Parkdale. Cosy, inviting and presented well. Service was great and knowledgable too. Nice decor.
We came here with a voucher. We got the Benedict and the Calamari. My Benedict was delicious, loved the use of the wholemeal crumpet instead of the bread, very generous lathering of hollandaise, eggs and bacon perfect and the green leafy bits (watercress?) complemented it well. The Calamari was great too I heard, fresh, light and flavoursome.
Prices were fair for a cafe and the servings although a little quaint, were enough to keep us going at brunch. Menu range could be lengthened a bit but I guess they may have specials during the week (they've a Parma night but not sure when)
Definitely will be returning in the future.
Great place for a weekend breakfast with a yummy organic menu, great coffee and fresh squeezed juices. Highly recommend trying this little spot out.
First time having breakfast here after living nearby for many years. Cannot wait to return! Amazing breakfast &a service with a smile :) thank you!
Our favourite local when at our Mordy home base - the quality of food and service is up there with our St Kilda favourites and is so relaxed and welcoming. 2nd wine magically appears with a simple nod! Gnocchi and meatballs are super delicious. Kid friendly too with kids menu, spiders and colouring in placemats. We are lucky to have this gem so close - also perfect for breakfasts, take away coffee and fresh baked scones and muffins.
Quite simply, one of the best cafes in the area. I don't think I've ever had a bad coffee from CoW. Staff is super friendly and the ambiance and setting inside is really chill. All their small takeaway items are delicious and their scones with jam and cream were amazing.
After speaking to one of the lovely waitresses I will definitely be coming in on parma night. I've also had a few locals recommend it.
Fantastic, hidden away on corner... We had driven past hundreds of times! Possibly the best local Cafe. It's got a great range on the menu, spoilt for choice again and again.
COW does a Great breakfast, best eggs benny I've ever had! They're not stingy on the hollandaise sauce. Good value, nice atmosphere and loverly staff :)
Always enjoy going to Cafe on Warren. Have been for breakfast and dinner. Food is fresh, well cooked and deliciously yummy. I highly recommend this place and will continue to return and enjoy great food and drinks.
My partner and I have been coming to COW regularly for their Parma nights. $15 for a Parma and drink. Good value for money and always delicious. Their special Parma flavours are often interesting and different. Service is always excellent. Lisa has always taken great care of us. Can't wait till we see a Parma special with pineapple on it!
Consistently great food and service. Cafe on Warren (COW) is my favorite local cafe. Best Breakfast menu in Mordialloc/Parkdale. Recommend the Breakfast Burrito, Baked Eggs and COW breakfast.
I have been to this nice cafe a few times. Always like it. The coffee, snacks, coloring page for kids...
Last Saturday, we went there with a full house. A girl took our order, but forgot to put through. After a reminder, the food came, as nice as always. We had a great time.
When I went to get the bill, I was expecting that the drinks would be waived as a gesture of being sorry. But the whole meal was waived. It's not about the money. Just very impressed with the effort from them to keep the customers happy.
My first time at this little cafe. Lovely food, generous portions, attentive staff & very reasonable prices. What more could you want? I'll definitely be coming back.
Had a lovely evening last night at Café on Warren. Food delicious, beautifully presented. Erica, our waitress, was well informed and attentive. We had two of the specials.....slow cooked lamb and slow cooked beef......very tasty and melt in the mouth. entrée of squid also extremely delicious.. could not fault the service or food. would recommend definitely.
Came here for dinner at 5.20, a bit early but they let me choose the menu while waiting. 5 stars hospitality, they take their time to explain almost every food they serve and will explain more if you ask (i didnt expect to find this in a cafe in the middle of nowhere but its a pleasant surprise). The potato-skin-something menu was a brilliant, served great, tasted great, plus raised your appetite. The cheek was in another league, soft and tender, its lovely. Plenty of others which served with better taste but nobody beats this cafe's service. 6/5 stars you wont regret.
I had Moroccan lamb with couscous salad and Beef brisket burger. Both taste so good. 😍
Thumbs up for their coffee and hot chocolate 👍
Love Cafe on warren!
You can tell they've got some good chefs on them, cos it shows in the taste and presentation!
Great coffee and parma :) oh and ur chips are yum as too :)
Lovely staff too
Just what Warren Village needed. We've been regular patrons of the COW since they took over and we loved it from day one. They had a few minor teething problems early on (as is expected of any young business) but they sorted them out and it's now one of our preferred places to eat in the area. The food tends to be a good mix of conservative favourites alongside more adventurous offerings, and while the more unconventional dishes don't always hit the mark 100% of the time they're always asking for feedback and seem to adjust the menu based on what they hear back. Lovely staff, very accommodating of kids, couldn't have asked for a better café in our little neck of the woods.
Great breaky!. Had a delicious breakfast at COW! I had poached eggs worth blue cheese sauce on sourdough. was very tasty. Staff were really friendly. great coffee too!
Went here with my family on Saturday and we had the ribs. They were amazing. Service was excellent and there was plenty of choice on the menu. Will return again soon for more ribs!!
Will be back to try more off the extensive and interesting menu/specials. Friendly and attentive service, nicely decorated and good coffee in a decent size cup! Thoroughly enjoyed the corn fritters and my friend enjoyed the smashed avocado followed by a couple of cakes (muffins are delicious!). A must to try in the area!
Beautiful fresh food, wonderful friendly service. Best cafe in the area.
Great food and friendly service. We often go there on our lunch break because we know we can get a quick and delicious bite to eat. Love the toasties and calamari salad.
Great Breakfast. Had the baked eggs with Chorizo and tomato on sourdough, really nice breakfast.
Cute little cafe and excellent coffee,
Recommend
After moving to Mordialloc a year ago we still hadn't found THE place for breakfast in town. That's changed now. This place is a gem located near bye Mordialloc with amazing food, coffee, excellent customer service and big ass freshly squeezed orange juices.
We definitely found our place.
This cafe is just what the area needed! Delicious food, friendly staff and consistently good service! Very child friendly with the chocolate milk shakes being a particular favourite with my children!
A quality little joint out of the way in Parkdale and has the same feel as many of the cafés closer to the city. Friendly staff and an extensive menu with daily specials make this place is a little gem. The coffee was smooth and hot which is vital to get customers returning. I'll be back for food for sure!
Impressed!. Visited Cafe on Warren for my first lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the COW steak sandwich. The food is far superior to the expected cafe style and great value for money. I was impressed by the attentive and efficient staff. They did everything with a smile on their faces giving the cafe a friendly, happy vibe.
Overall, I'm very impressed.
Had lunch on Saturday, very impressed, food, service, was excellent and very accommodating for our 3 young children , will definitely be back soon!
Much Improved. We just visited COW. We live very close by. We went with your 2 year old son and the staff were very accomodating. High chairs available and crayons and paper bought to the table to help keep him happy.
The food was EXCELLENT. It is much improved from the previous owners. Prices were expected amounts but the menu was varied and the portion sizes were good.
We will be returning for sure and will be spreading the word amongst all the local mum's l know to head down.
Contrary to other reviews l found COW to be very kid friendly!
Happy go lucky Cafe on Warren, playfully abbreviated to COW is a great little spot for the locals. Grab a coffee or a giant fresh orange juice and peruse the menu and specials board. There is a full breakie menu as well as a great mix of pizza, pasta and usual suspects like a good old steak sandwich. Hubbies Souvlaki platter is a generous and interesting shaped plate! Great chips, lovely pita but hubby didn’t love the meat and thought it was a bit tough. Sensational pasta with creamy pesto sauce, fresh basil and sun dried tomato. Brother and I both had the same to avoid food envy and stole the lovely pita bread from hubby to mop up!! Service was a bit haphazard though we weren’t in a hurry, the locals seemed happy and I am sure we will be back again.
