Jenny's Gourmet Bakery on Glen Osmond, Rd Eastwood SA, has a very modern enclosed covered alfresco. Inside is very well designed, with the serving counter and display cabinets, coffee machine along one side. The opposite wall has a long shelf, with stools, making for a comfortable eating area. The bakery is a French style bakery, with a very large range of delicious gourmet baked choices. I enjoyed a fresh baked good size raspberry croissant, best I have tasted for quite some time, complimented by a very well made Veneziano coffee. The service was friendly and engaging. This Cafe Bakery was a real surprise, and not surprising, quite busy. Also included are free news papers and WiFi.
Stopped in at the bakery on my way to the Christmas tree farm and I was overwhelmed with choices! I love sweets so I could have bought everything but settled on the salted caramel cronut. Not hugely into the cronut revolution but absolutely loved this one. The pastry was so light and flaky and the caramel flavour was perfect. Will definitely be back as I had my eye on the passion fruit tart and peanut butter brownie.
I absolutely HAD to try a cronut so made the trip here one day, mouth salivating the entire journey. I tried a fruchoc cronut and I was sadly disappointed. Flavours were good but maybe it was just that bit too sweet for my liking. My own fault for picking it, no reflection of the bakery I'm sure. There were so many things here that looked delicious, I'll have to come back and try them :)
I've always driven pass but only gone in twice. Both times with good experience. They have a lot on the menu and on display tempting you to eat them all from sandwiches, paninis and salads to tarts, cakes and muffins. There's plenty more than that! Last visit was for some Cronuts. It was hard to pick a flavour, we got one Salted Caramel and one Milo in the end. Thumbs up for this donut pastry filling goodness.
Um.. What was that?? A two minute escape into pure indulgence is what it was. Wow. Didn't expect it to be anywhere near as good as that. Nutella Cronut. So wrong and yet so right. For those in the cheap seats I will repeat: Nutella. Cronut. Zumbo who? ( disclaimer: I write this in a haze of sugar rush)
CRONUT.
FRUCHOC CRONUT.Â
ALL THE GOOD THINGS.
NONE OF THE BAD.
Jenny's is one of the first to bring the Cronut to Adelaide & they do it WELL. Â The outside is crunchy, the inside is soft but flakey and the toppings are extravagant. However, that's not all Jenny's offers.Â
They have meringues, tarts, cakes, donuts, sandwiches, wraps, lasagne and salads. Â Working much like a deli, the staff at Jenny's also sells the staple lunch menu, which I really enjoy. Â I'll often come in and get a chicken schnitzel wrap with some BBQ sauce (oh yeah, delish) with some sort of sweet afterward (read: cronut).Â
There is a nice little covered/outside area to read a paper and have a treat, but I many go to Jenny's to take away. Â Â
They really do a wonderful job of the pastries & it is what Jenny's is known for & I always find myself coming back.

Cronut? Yes it's that amazing cross between a croissant and a doughnut. And no-one does it better than Jenny's Gourmet Bakery in Parkside. We were lured to Jenny's Gourmet Bakery by the cronut but were impressed by the high quality range of offerings here, as well as the architecture of this iconic bluestone building. This is about fresh house made bread, cakes and pastries that are top notch, as well as a delightful range of savoury treats. Jenny's Gourmet Bakery is one of those icons that's been around as a stunning bakery on Glen Osmond Road for years, but with their renovation they have come into the spotlight more in recent times as a delighful place to visit. After a renovation Jenny's Gourmet Bakery has been the perfect place for the Parkside set to visit for catch ups, with the courtyard a compelling place to imbibe and relax with friends. You may find it hard to decide on what treats to enjoy here, as we did. We want it all! Imbibing the cronut in the courtyard, with Glen Osmond Road the backdrop. Tasty lunch options included this Croque Monsieur with rewarding melted cheese and thick cut bread. Importantly the coffee is excellent here, a good thing, as Bar 9 is across the road. We were also impressed by the engaging service here with the staff exuding a positive disposition. What amused us is that many customers just stood in front of the display cabinet staring just checking out the large range of spectacular items. Kudos in itself for Jenny's Gourmet Bakery. Â
Went early on Sat. Had a Cronut & light brekkie. Staff were very friendly & Cronut was AMAZING!!! Worth the drive there!!!
Best Cronuts in Adelaide!!! .... Best Cronuts in Adelaide!!!
Don't bother trying a cronut at any other bakery, you'll only be disappointed & they won't even come close to Jenny's.
Amazing creative flavour combinations.
Do yourself a favour & make the effort to try one, guarantee it won't be your last.
Love the cronuts! But they're not the only reason to go to Jenny's - many other scrumptious delicious sweet treats, yummy wraps, baguettes, hot food & excellent coffee. A great place visit for lunch in the courtyard.

Came for the cronuts, stayed for the great food. I made the trip here solely to try their cronuts and was not disappointed. I knew little of the bakery (only that they made cronuts!) but upon arrival, made the decision to enjoy what turned out to be a super-tasty lunch too! Let's just say, I strongly dislike mustard and this place actually had me enjoying it. I've visited a couple times and always, their cronuts have been almost gone by 1pm, if not completely vanished by the time I leave the store. Sweet, filled and moist. I've tried others with little topping/filling that have been quite dry, but Jenny's Bakery cronuts definitely live up to the hype. Of course, they have a large variety of other patisserie goods and there's indoor as well as outdoor seating, very well worth the drive to enjoy this little place.
This place has been and still a great little bakery for years. Even before the cronut.
Best Cronuts In Adelaide. The drive to Glen Osmond was so worth it! cheap and delicious compared to Nic & Roccos cronuts, expensive yet doesn't taste that great!.
Just the cronuts alone are worth the drive, delicious!
Step away from the cronuts.... Even a dyed in the wool sweet tooth like me thought combining a croissant with a donut was a step too far but I bought one for my dad, an ex pastry chef, just for research purposes, you understand. OMG...these things are awesome! And were it not for the $5 price tag and the 20 minute drive to get to Jenny's, I could become totally addicted.
Cronuts. Crispy,light,YUMMY.
Delightful staff. Paid my second visit on this nice warm spring morning. The staff were delightfully friendly as always. They didn't mind me taking my time to decide my order, or sitting there for an hour on the iPad with a cup of coffee.
Also, how good are cronuts in place of bringing a boring old cake for that work morning tea!?
Amaaaazzzzing cronuts!! Worth the drive there and get in early or you'll miss out!
This is the most amazing place! Amazing service and a great selection of treats of both sweet and savoury variety. The cronuts are probably the best thing I have ever put in my mouth!
...Salted Caramel and Raspberry Choc Brownie. The Cronuts at Jenny's are quite large and very nicely decorated, it almost seems a shame to eat them. However, you don't buy a Cronut to put them on a shelf and admire them, so it was time to dig in....
...I decided to venture over to Jenny’s Bakery. I found a cute cafe with a shaded outdoor seating area that let in just the perfect amount of sunlight for me to enjoy my book. Being a Wednesday, it was quiet and cosy. As I usually work in the heart of the CBD, it was an oasis! I could hear the flies! All the other desserts that I have yet to try! The lady who served me was lovely. Being confronted with so many options – both sweet and savoury, I found myself umming and oohing for about five minutes. She was patient and understanding – so I found myself with 6 cronuts and a crispy chicken wrap for lunch (a balanced diet). Cronuts: Caramel popco

...Jenny's Gourmet Bakery on Glen Osmond Road claims to have the best cronut in Australia (eater.com). I reckon we should get more insight into cronut to find out its beauty which attracts thousands of people around the world everyday. It is a half croissant, half donut hybrid which is the result of hard work, taking 2 months and more than 10 recipes. I nstead of the simple croissant dough, i t is made with laminated dough which has been likened to a croissant. After being proofed, it is then fried in grapeseed oil at a specific temperature. To finish it, it is flavoured in 3 ways - rolled in sugar, then filled with cream an

All around the world it seems people are going crazy for the Cronut. In NY, people are lining up for hours to have one. But not in Adelaide, we have our very own Cronut bakers right here at Jenny's Bakery! Basically, a cronut is a hybrid between a croissant and a donut, hence the name. While Jenny's version may not be a replica of the NY version, I'll take what I can get in our little Adelaide!
Visited here from a friend's recommendation and wasn't disappointed!! So many delicious things to choose from! We had breakfast but then had to buy some items for later. Cronut highly recommended 👌
Knew we had to come here because of the excellent reviews and Jenny's gourmet bakery does not disappoint! The range of pastries and yummy available for both breakfast and lunch is very extensive. The coffee here is top notch too. The caramilk donut was delicious. The almond croissant was soooo gooooood. Place is stylishly decorated and everyone is very friendly. You'd be missing out if you didn't come visit!
Very satisfying! I normally go for my favorite, almond croissant, but I found this the other day which was also impressive. Every time I walked in, I feel warm and welcomed. Besides the smell of the bakery is always amazing💗

One of the best bakeries I've ever visited in Adelaide. The staff is friendly and all they sell is fresh produce. The chocolate croissants is very good, the coffee too and the sandwiches are amazing. The lady that's always there is very lovely, I think she's the owner, she's patient and easygoing. I like going to this place at least once a week.
Some goodies from @jennysbakeryadl! Been wanting to try them out for a while, and overall they did not disappoint. I think if you want classic pastries/viennoiserie things, they may not be the best (although certainly still up there in Adelaide). But if you want something a bit more unique and creative, then this place is for you.
.
Nutella almond croissant: it was absolutely delicious. It's not as flaky as it could have been, but the flavours were great!
.
Golden gaytime cheesecake: super yummy, especially if you love golden gaytime 🤤🤤.
.
Lemon cake: can't go wrong with this one!
.
The Danish would have been better if it was flakier. Might have been a bit too sweet as well.
Cannot express enough how much I love the cheese, chorizo, and chilli scrambled egg bagel; is quite literally one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Very lovely service too and a nice atmosphere! Look forward to going back to try more baked goods
This bakery/ caffee is exceptional, I cannot recommend it enough. I've been drinking coffee religiously for 15 years and I've never had better coffee. The cakes and pies are unique and impeccable
We ordered desserts for our Engagement Party and they were absolutely delicious. The staff were so accommodating and every one at the party raved about the desserts. Could not recommend them more!
