It is a weekend night. Accidentally we find this place. We are afraid how the food is going to be on our way. After viewing menu, I felt soo relaxed to see South Indian breakfast. We tried dosa’s very delicious as they are home made. Sooo yummy. South Indian biryani it is. My tummy is sooo full now..! I can’t even concentrate on writing a review afta having a such a feast. I definitely recommend this place if you really want to have a tasty food. Or pure South Indian style food.

What lovely people run and work in this restaurant, can't beat such good, friendly service! Thanks Johnny's Kitchen. Food was fantastic too. I had the chicken do piatzo and it was superb. Really worthwhile paying the Kitchen a visit. Ample parking in front too.

We had a Groupon booking for 2. The 2 stars is for the friendly service and the tasty samosa and Naan. Our main meals were underwhelming. I ordered a mild butter chicken but it was far from mild, the heat was so intense that I could only eat 3 mouthfuls. The flavour was also very average. Someone else complained that their meal was too hot to eat and only got offered a yoghurt/cucumber mix to calm it down. My husband had a chicken tikka masala which he didn’t mind but it was also very spicy and he didn’t finish it, which is very unusual for him. The restaurant wasn’t particularly pleasant to dine in, it was extremely cold and they didn’t have their heating on. I personally won’t be going back there. It may have just been a bad night to go but I don’t want to risk wasting our money again.

I really dont like writing negative reviews though I also despise handing over my hard earned cash for terrible dining. Read some great reviews so I was expecting a nice meal here. Had a Groupon for two with food to an apparent value of $73.90! On arriving I asked to simply exchange the two wines from the deal with two mango lassies. Apparently can't do that even though they're a cheaper price? I then asked what the house red wine was - cabernet, Shiraz etc, young girl had no idea so asked to see the bottle so I could see. I then noticed that both the red and white house wines BOTH CONTAIN SULPHATES which I'm allergic as many people also are so asked what they can offer as an alternative? After much confusion it all seamed too hard so I simply asked for two cokes only to then recieve one mango lassie? It only went further south from there. Entree lacked any flavour, then Butter chicken mains were average at best. Rice was plain and unseasoned! Is it that hard to add a seasoning like salt or stock for flavour... Two little inedible balls the size of a 10c piece for dessert on a little bowl of sugar concentrate. Only item I found a pass was the buttered naan. If your ordering takeaway, my advice is stop by foodland and pick yourself up two beyond India packs for under $20 bucks and your in for a much greater experience than this shambles. Being a home cook I have no idea who rates this place with anything more than a star, I know a lot of people can't cook though damn, there must be a lot of people who must struggle to cook a piece of toast who have rice bubbles for breakfast lunch and tea. I did bring leftovers home so I can spice them up a bit though was exceptionally close to walking out had I not already paid the $40 to Groupon! SEVENTY THREE DOLLARS NINETY value.. far from it! I know why no one else was dining in, Gordon Ramsay would have a field day!

I can’t believe that any Indian food in SA can be as trash as this one. Medu wada was made of stones, noodles in chow mein were over cooked and so called biriyani was khichdi with eggplants, who puts eggplants in veg biriyani? And to top it all is was smelling and tasting stale. And guess what we waited 35 minutes to get to the place and 45 mins there for 4 Items when the place had 3 tables Please do yourself a favor, refrain from from this joint

I don't usually go for Indian food. I had my share of curry for life when I lived in Sri Lanka but Sowmith is a clever and caring chef. The food here is good!

I absolutely love this place with its amazing food. Their chicken chow-mein is to die for. Amazing quality of food and no oil anywhere (unlike some restaurants).
