A very good teppanyaki experience. Staff were absolutely wonderful and super friendly.
Reminded me of the hospitality I experienced travelling around Japan and eating at various local restaurants. The service was fantastic, everyone was courteous and had a smile.
Staff were genuine Japanese and spoke Japanese. I know very basic touristy Japanese and I tried out a couple phrases, they instantly understood what I meant and responded back in Japanese. For example I asked for the bill entirely in Japanese and thanked them for a delicious meal.
The restaurant looks great, food tasted good, teppanyaki chefs put on a good show and were skilled at what they do.
I haven’t tried out their regular non-teppanyaki menu, but next time I’m back in Queensland I’ll make sure to visit again.
P.S. making a reservation beforehand is a good idea, restaurant was full when we went.
We are Brisbane locals and we went to the Gold Coast for a quick day trip with the young kid today. We were all craving for Japanese food for dinner so we started searching on Google/Zomato for a nice Japanese restaurant, only found that most Japanese restaurants on the Gold Coast are closed on Sundays. Randomly saw this restaurant on google with 4.5 stars good review, so I rang to make a booking without a second thought.
DECOR: when we arrived at the location we saw a traditional Japanese bamboo fencing and a Japanese Garden at the entrance, and the next step into the restaurant we were amazed by the funky Japanese inner-street-style decor.
SERVICE: The staff welcomed us warmly and service was excellent throughout the night. Very attentive and also have big smile on everyone’s face.
FOOD: we went for À la carte tonight and we have ordered sashimi (SO FRESH!) , mixed nigiri sushi platter (SO YUMMY!), deep fried oysters and prawns (omg they were fantastic), chawan mushi (the best ever I have tried amongst Japanese restaurants on the Gold Coast). We also ordered some Japanese desserts (Mochi) at the end that gave us the taste of Japan :)
We all love this place and would definitely come back again and again to try out other dishes on the menu!

fantastic. Had my sons 21st here and they made it fun and welcoming. Food was delicious
Good, authentic Japanese in a beautiful restaurant that transports you to Kyoto. I recommend the Ginger Pork, assorted sushi platter and Fried Udon.
Went for lunch with friends and we were all pleasantly surprised at this great find. The lunch menu costing $20 which included a glass of wine was excellent. Friendly efficient service,We eat here nearly every friday lunchtime. Their John Dory with potato, wilted spinach and green beans is a must to try, you will not be disappointed. Awesome lunch menu, glass of good wine and lunch for around 40 dollars.
We were told by so many people to come eat here and I'm so happy we finally did! It was a delightful and fun evening, the food was great, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was exceptional. Thank you for making date night absolutely lovely!
We went last night and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
It was lovely to experience an authentic teppanyaki restaurant that has stood the test of time. Apparently they’ve been open for 25 years, but last night was our first time.
Having a hot plate right in front of us on a cold mid-week night was the perfect place to be.
Food was fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was friendly without being intrusive. It was also nice to have plenty of space and be able to speak with my dinner companion without having to yell like you do in so many modern restaurants.
Price was very reasonable.

Really good for groups with chefs spinning their utensils in the air, throwing bowls of rice into customers hands and other fancy stuff. About 10 people per chef so if you've got a small group you may have to share with another small group. Very enjoyable night out
