Unlike your usual laksa, the soup here is so thick with aromatics it was almost the consistency of a sauce, which meant that each mouthful of noodle is absolutely saturated with flavour. Every slurp was fragrant, creamy goodness, with just enough spice thrown in to keep things exciting. In fact, the only thing to complain about would be the stinginess of the toppings, which consist of nothing more than a few slices of fish cake, and a couple of tofu puffs. I’d expect a bit more for the price, but all-up it’s delicious enough for me not to mind at all.
Dont be fooled by the way this restaurant looks. The food served is very tasty.
The staff are friendly and helpful. We ordered 2 dishes that we didn't know were similar in flavours and one of the waiters came and inform us and asked if we wanted to change one of the dish.
Prices are moderate approx $20 per main. Might not sound like much but for singaporean/malay food it's consider pricey.
Decent spot for lunch in the area. Ordered the Hainan chicken rice and chicken laksa from their lunch specials. Chicken was smooth and had good texture. I chose mixed noodles for my laksa and it was delicious. Still a good as I remembered it from years ago.
Quick service and food is awesome here. Always packed when I go so make sure to book a table if you plan to go with a large group. The food feels very authentic here and is reasonably priced. The hainanese chicken is a winning dish.

There is reason this place has delivered wonderful food at a good price since 92. They are good at it. One of the best meals you will have. Cancel the trip to Singapore, just book a hotel in Parramatta and your their.
Great place for delicious authentic Malaysian cuisine. Very quick service. Flavours were so delicious! Can see why it's such a popular place for Malaysian food -tasty and cheap too.
Best Hainanese chicken rice you will eat in Sydney!!! Chicken is succulent and the rice is flavoursome. Temasek is also very generous with their portions.
Went in for dinner tonight, was seated promptly (arrived at 5:30). The service was very fast and attentive. Three things were ordered:
• nasi lemak
• chicken laksa
• roti canai
The dishes were great, the laksa being the absolute best we’ve had in a long time. You can actively taste a slow cooked broth with galangal and lemongrass. It had the right amount of spice. The roti canai was fresh and sweet. The nasi lemak was great, however there needed to be some more sambal. This was slightly lacking. Special mention to the acar on the plate because the vinegary goodness was the star of the dish.
All in all, would definitely come back.

The food have huge portions. Very delicious. The place is small becuase many people go here. Also the service is sometimes not available. But whenever it is, they are accommodating.
Delicious & full of flavours!! The roti was very crispy and oily. Dipped into beef rendang felt very authentic. The hainanese chicken was so silky and soft, and the eggplant made with shrimp paste was the highlight!! Satay chicken skewers were tasty too, and we ordered a squid dish which was just bursting with flavours when you ate it. The ice lemon tea is also a must try 👌🏻
this place is Close to Parramatta CBD, It has a very cosy feel and serves very tasty food. Good place for group bookings, but make sure to book ahead of time for a seat. this place gets very busy!
Good food! Good service! I'm very happy that I visited this place after it has been sitting in my bookmarks for a while. The place is a little hard to find because it is inside a little alley but it is huge! Super packed to boot. I tried their laksa and it was really good, along with their chicken and prawn fried rice which was the best fried rice I have tasted amongst other restaurants. Their sambal prawns and spicy chicken curry are meh but I would definitely come back for their laksa and fried rice. Recommended!
I've been to Temasek a few times now, and I've never been disappointed by the food. The laksa is particularly good! In saying that, I've found the service a bit short at times, particularly in regards to pushing people out the door after their meal.
Friendly service with good Malaysian good ! The hainanese chicken rice was absolutely delicious, but the chicken was a little dry for me. The Nasi Lemak with samabal prawn and rendang curry was also delicious. The curry was flavorful with a nice touch of spice, although I did wish the prawn had more sambal sauce. Overall good food and would go back.
Best Malaysian/Singaporean cuisine I've had. Tried the Chicken Laksa , Hainanese Chicken Rice and Skewers and all three dishes never disappoint. The flavor of Laksa is rich and portion is definitely worth the price point. I highly regard Temasek for its quality and consistency for their dishes and I would definitely recommend to anyone who's aiming for an authentic experience

The seafood Laksa was very good,but heavily overpriced at $20 a bowl. There were 3 large prawns and some pieces of squids. This must be the most expensive laksa in Australia.

What a busy restaurant. We dined here on a Saturday night and The two parts of the restaurant were always full with a constant flow of people in and out.
But I understand why. We ordered four dishes and all were great.
We really enjoyed the prawn laksa which had so much flavour infused through it. And a great chilli hit. The nasi goreng had prawns and chicken through it with a pleasant sweet taste. The char kway teow had more of a charcoal taste with prawns and bean sprouts. Great flavour. These were our favourite dishes and I would want them again. The hainanese chicken was good for what it was (the chicken so tender) but wasn’t really what we wanted as it is a cold dish.
The staff are buzzing around the restaurant and being very efficient. Helpful but not friendly. Our food was served at a good pace. One dish at a time so we really enjoyed each one separately. Prices are good for the portion sizes.
The restaurant isn’t a fancy venue - quite old school.
Would definitely come here again.
Best Laksa in Parramatta area. Place is packed every day you have to come early to get a table am chair. Must try the Laksa, fried chicken and Nasigoreng. Love the lemon tea. Fried calamari is too sweet for me though.

A very traditional Malaysian and Singapore cuisine restaurant is located at George Street Parramatta. Nasi Goreng was my favouraite dish as it tastes sweet and a bit spicy. It is very uncommon for a fried rice having this flavour. Not much to say about the Hainanese chicken-best to put the black sauce on the chicken!!
You will not regret to travel a long way having this cuisine ever.

Be here a few times. 3 dishes are always my "must-order" - hainese chicken, sambal balachan kang kung and oyster omelette. Please also don't forget to order flavoured rice to go with the dishes.
Coming here on Saturday night and being restricted on the time I can eat is really not a good start. Like 1 hour and half . The waiter service was bit poor as the waiters did not see I was order thus a slight delay on service

Food is always great here. Never disappoints. It gets very busy sometimes thay may ruin the customer service experience, but very consistent in the one thing they should get right. Food!
This is another great relaxed dining place. Their laksa is easily one of the best i've had in Sydney. Other dishes that have wowed (and surprised) me are the sweet and spicy calamari, mi goreng (nothing like the packet) and their Nasi lemak -all decently priced. And i'm definitely a repeat customer.
Down sides - their customer service isn't always great. And they have days when they do/don't accept card payments. Oh and the kang kong dish at $20...questionable.

Ordered the Hainanese chicken rice, tamarind fish cutlets, beef rendang (on the spicier side) with a dessert drink, chendol drink. (similar to the Vietnamese Che ba mau).
The Hainanese chicken rice was cooked perfectly like a newborns bottom. Chicken wasn't dry which balanced well with both the sweet soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce. The chicken rice was good, enriched with hints of ginger and chicken.
The tamarind fish came out drenched in the tamarind sauce (tasted amazing if you're a tamarind fan), on the other hand, the fish was a few minutes over cooked and was a bit dry.
Would definitely come back!

i tried the chicken laksa with rice noodles. although a bit oily, there was a good flavour profile. sad that i didn’t get some tofu like my friend did though, but i guess it’s because they randomly fill up the bowls from their bigger vat inside. i would’ve liked a bit more freshness (eg veggies) to lift up the dish. it’s not super spicy at all imo and i think ppl who can’t tolerate spice should be able to enjoy this as well :)

One of the best Hainan chicken rice in Sydney (but make sure you order the thigh). The laksa is amazing. Their other dishes are very good too but every time I come here, I must order the chicken rice so I need to bring more friends in order to try other dishes.
Seating is limited so sometimes there is a wait, they seem to have a dining room across the lane and outside seating.
We are lucky to get an outside table at peak hour in Temasek. we ordered hainanese chicken rice, prawn noddle soup and crispy pork roll. The rice is average to me. The crispy roll is one of the best. full of five spices flavour. The prawn noddle soup is awesome. Every spoon of the soup is full prawn taste. You have to try it by your own.
6 of us had dinner here on Friday night. It's super busy so a little loud, the decor is simple and far from fancy but the food is DELICIOUS! We ordered vegetable curry puffs, meat spring rolls, whole hainanese chicken with chicken rice, nasi goreng, sambal prawns, beef rendang, chicken and prawn laksa and chilli beef. Meal was $195 including corkage and plenty of leftovers to take away so very reasonable for 6 people. We couldn't fault any of the dishes, everything was delicious but stand outs were the meat spring rolls, laksa and hainanese chicken. The food is quite spicy so if you struggle with spicy food and arent familiar with Singaporean/Malaysian food ask the waiters for advice before ordering. Will definitely be back.
Yummy laksa at Temasek, the soup was tasty albeit not as thick as I like. I always have it half half (egg and rice noodle which they happily obliged) They home make the kuih lapis as well which is very good!
I went here because the reviews said it had the best laksa out west. Actually, food is okay, but NOT to die for. Needless to say, it was underwhelming. I've had better (and cheaper) laksa in a hole in the wall resto further west.
Delicious food every time I eat here. Nasi goreng, chicken hor fun and the laksa are my favourites. Make sure to ask for sambal on the side. Serving sizes are quite big, and they have great value lunch specials. Extremely busy a lot of the time but we've never been left waiting for very long for our food to come out. Don't expect great ambience, just good hearty and comforting Singaporean food.

Not a local around the Parramatta area but usually when we’re nearby we always grab some Temasek. Am yet to find a place in Sydney which has such authentic and generous portions of Singaporean food.
Ordered the Nasi Lemak, Kan Kong and Kecap Manis Sotong. Great dishes all round. Also try the laksa and the hainanese chicken if you feel like it.
Only pitfall is that it’s a tiny bit expensive.
Yum yum yummy, great chicken laksa and the tamarind tea... great food would be happy to come back! Place maybe quiet a squeeze but once you get your order - doesnt matter.

Another place that serves great hainanese chicken and laksa! It’s this hidden gem located in a little laneway. The chicken was tender and poached to perfection and the laksa was very hearty and flavourful. Good service, good food.
Prices are slightly higher than your average Asian restaurant but I would still come back for the chicken and laksa. Thumbs up.

We visit quite regularly - and every time the restaurant is quite full, and understandably so, the food is yummy. The kang kang is a special favourite of ours, and is the laksa and of course the hainan chicken rice. The prawn mee is bursting with flavour. My only criticism is that the price of each dish is a little on the exxy side - but they have great lunch specials and the lunch time servings are just as generous

When we come here, we always get the Hainan chicken, Nasi Goreng and the Laksa (chicken & prawn). Sometimes Kang Kong (but not worth it at $22 for just vegetables!!).
The Hainan chicken is just perfect - so tender, they somehow manage to debone it perfectly so you can just devour the thing without having to annoyingly debone it (unlike papparich). Laksa is divine. Nasi goreng is so flavoursome.
It’s a little bit on the expensive side for Malay food but damn is it worth it.
Only annoying part is that they often are “cash only” and won’t take card.
My family always goes to this restaurant for family gatherings, I love there nasi goreng and their tom yum soup. They don't disappoint with their food. Yummy!! 😋😋🍜🍜
A reasonably nice restaurant as it provides a homey atmosphere. Food portions are large (especially the nasi goreng). The only downside was no milk tea on the drinks menu so I opted for coconut juice which was just from a commercial package. Roti canai was enjoyable but they only provide one type of dipping sauce at request.
I love the hainanese chicken and the rice with chicken flavour. The oyster omelettes are gorgeous as well. The fried rice is also worth trying. A bit crowded and noisy in the restaurant.
Love the food here at Temasek, though I don't like the limited menu items (particularly if you are vegetarian). I think the Laksa and nasi lemak are the real stand-outs for me! Service is friendly, and the food always comes out quickly :)
Wow! This is simply the best hainanese chicken i have had, the lunch spacial for $12 is amazing we also had a beef randang which was also great. Will be definitely going back to try more of the menu.

I've been here several times, invited by my friends. The meals are just okay for my taste. Price is a bit high considering that it's not a fancy restaurant. Pretty crowded on the weekends and finding parking nearby is pretty difficult.

What a place!! Lovely staff and they're pretty on the ball, very quick to act on any request you have.
We ordered an array of dishes, including the mixed entree consisting of Beef Curry Puffs and Spring Rolls (the menu mentions Prawn Cutlets but they'd run out tonight). The Spring Rolls were PACKED with meat! Absolutely delicious. Curry Puffs were spicy with beautiful flavour.
We went a little crazy with mains (ordering 6 dishes amongst 4 people).
1. Nasi Goreng - absolutely beautiful! Full of flavour, and the egg was fried perfectly.
2. Beef Rendang - very good! It's not the best one I've had but the beef was so ridiculously tender.
3. Fried Hainanese Chicken Rice - LOVE!! The five spice flavour through the chicken was amazing.
4. Kecap Manis Sotong - fried calamari tossed in kecap manis. Need I say more? Deliciously smokey, sweet, and sticky. This one was the favourite all round.
5. Assam Seafood - what a broth!!! Talk about balanced flavours, this dish was fruity, sour, sweet, and spicy (in fact spicier than the Rendang). Seafood was cooked to perfection and there was a very generous amount of fish, prawns, and Squid.
6. Garlic Butter King Prawns - can't say I'm usually a huge fan of eating the shell, but in this instance the shell adds an intense flavour, and paired with the garlic of course makes it super tasty.
Have found a new local favourite. I have been reading about Temasek for years and I couldn't be have to have finally visited, love it.
Nice place. Cash only. Bit expensive (comparatively) but quality food. Quantity is also better. Always full on lunch time so make Ur reservation in time.

I've been here a few times for lunch and I have to say the chicken laksa is real good. You know it's a good laksa when the bowl is filled with the little bits dried shrimp and stuff down the bottom and when the soup thick and creamy. The chicken are shredded chicken pieces, probably from it's Hainanese chicken, so it's cold. The chick is silky smooth, soft and tender just like the Hainanese chicken( more on that later) the laksa seems to goes best with the egg noodles.
The chicken in the Hainanese chicken, same like the laksa is good and cooked to perfection. Just crossed cross from raw to cooked. However the rice itself was a little tasteless even cooked in chicken broth. The bowl of soup that came with it was just the same, heck I didn't even get ginger and shallot dipping sauce for my chicken.
I also tried the Mee Goreng. A Spicy, tomato, tangy and peppery sauce with egg noodles. Prawns weren't fresh, not impressive, I think the packet instant mee goreng probably tasted better and a better value.
If you were to try this place, the chicken laksa is the thing you would want to try. I rate it up there with happy chefs laksa in Chinatown Sydney.
I went with a group of friends and absolutely loved Temasek's flavours and dishes. Not everyone in our group was as impressed however. Nonetheless, from a vegetarian's point-of-view, i can confidently say that i have and will eat at Temasek again!
Perfect for when you're craving hearty Singaporean/Malaysian food! And this restaurant is literally always busy - which is an accurate indication of how good the food is!! Make sure you make a reservation if you've got a large group, and if you've got a birthday cake it might be a better idea to cut it yourself! They charged us a couple of dollars per person just to use their knife and bowls.
This place is my goto for a delicious laksa lunch. Their chicken laksa is hands down the best in Sydney. Make sure you go early at lunch time or you have made a booking. It's great to have such a gem of a cafe in Parramatta! If you're asked if you want Roti on the side, make sure you say yes!!!!!!
Have been a few times so far, busy each time which showed how popular this place is. Flavoursome food, could be tiny bit too sweet to my liking overall. Friendly service, given it was that busy, wait staffs still managed to serve with smiley faces. Just ignore the noisy ambience and slightly dated interior, lol.
Very decent Singaporean/Malaysian food. The chicken rice and the hainanese chicken were great. The sweet squid and chilli water spinach were fairly good too. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking to eat Malaysian!
The nasi goreng and hainan chicken is on point here - those are the main dishes I usually get when I pop by for dinner. They also have decent servings so I reckon it is worth the money spent!

They make amazing laksa! Yum yum yum!!! Highly recommended, make sure you go there at 12 on the dot. By 12:30, there were people lined up. Saw deep fried chicken, that looked awesome. That will be my next order ;)
Staff are friendly. The laksa is flavoursome and full of grounded spices, we really enjoyed it. Not sure if this is the standard price in Sydney, but for $18 they could have add in a bit more than 4 medium size tiger prawns and two pieces of tofu. However if we compare the prices with other restaurants nearby they are only $2-$3 more on the dear side but no doubt one of the best laksa we have tasted so far.

I can't remember how it came about my love for Laksa but in the search to find the best Laksa in Sydney, Temasek was a recommendation. So off we went to try Laksa at Temasek & Wow!!! Ahh-mazing loved it been a loyal customer for years now use to constantly visit on the winter nights now just order take away! Love the atmosphere in this restaurant, always full & smelling good, service is super quick & they know their stuff!
Favourite dishes would be the pork spring rolls, nasi goreng with lil bit of chilli & of course the chicken & prawn Laksa with mixed noodles.
Must try especially on those cold winter nights don't forget some tissues for when your nose starts running from all the chilli 😌
This was my 2nd time here. The 1st visit, there were 6 to 7 of us so we opted for main dishes to share. This time around, there were only 3 of us, it will cost at least $20 per person if we opted for main dishes so we decided to order individuals. The soy bean drink was lacked of bean taste. The rice from hainanese chicken rice was mediocre. Nasi lemak was $17.80!! Geez.....$14.50 at Papparich is better value for money. Restaurant was packed even before 6pm. We were told that the fried hainanese chicken rice may take 'a while', it took 30mins. Two of us ate while the one guy waited 30mins for his food. And then 2 of us waited 15mins while he gulped his food. Hmm...if the food was gonna take half an hour to be ready, worth considering scraping it off the menu? CASH only and surcharge on public holidays by the way. It's overall okay, but prices are a little over the top.
I have been a regular customer at Temasek and rank their food as one of the best Malaysian restaurants in Sydney. I have tried most of the menu.
Favourite dishes here are: Hainanese Chicken, Belacaan Eggplant and the Assam Prawns. These are fail safe and always a winner.
Come here for great food but don't have high expectations from the staff in terms of service.
