Ordered Fried Cauliflower, Falafel, Sahra Feast. Absolutely loved the fried cauliflower and falafel dishes. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience here, with amazing food and even better customer service! The amount of food we got for a 3 person banquet was insane, and we ended up taking some home because it was so good! The service is so incredible too, they literally treat you like family. 100% recommend and will be going back!
A Real Middle Eastern experience. Amazing Service, they cater to everyone. recommend trying the platters, very generous portions. the outdoor area is very comfortable even in winter.

We recently had an Engagement Lunch at Sahra and the view of the river and natural light filtering into the venue made our experience very pleasant and relaxing . The food was beautiful and the servings were very generous. The staff were attentive and made us all feel welcome.

My wife and I went here for Sunday lunch. It was our second time at what is quickly becoming one of our favourite restaurants. The service was excellent; not too obtrusive, just right. The waiter who took our order advised us that we didn’t need as much as we were going to order, and he was right. As it was we struggled through what we did order.
The food here is some of the best middle eastern cuisine I have ever had. The Kibby’s are to die for, the coriander potato is superb, the tabouli first rate, the falafel mouth watering. The standout for us, though, was the Fattet Battenjan. This you just have to try.
The place was very busy but didn’t feel crowded. And what a terrific place to eat - overlooking the river.
And then, to finish, there was the wonderfully refreshing minted tea. A great way to finish a wonderful meal.
This is second visit here because once went on a sunday after 9pm and it was shut so this time hubby said let's go and try this restaurant so we came on a Friday evening for dinner.
It's by the river so wanted to visit it and the ambience is beautiful. Even the service was pretty good.
We were first some herbed bread before we could start placing our food.Coming to the food they serve Lebanese food and we ordered two kibby for starters which lamb filled in a shell which was ok. For mains we ordered bbq skewers which was good. It came with salad, a dip and bread. But quantity felt like we were having starters. Also ordered for red wine and whiskey in drinks.
Price is pretty high and the quantity of food was less. There was the banquet option too but we didn't opt for it.
I may not visit again because of the food
Sahra by the River is definitely one of my favourite spots in Parramatta, in Sydney’s west. I’ve brought multiple teams and friends out to Sahra to enjoy some delicious and traditional Middle Eastern Cuisine, whilst along the water. It’s a restaurant for great company, great conversations, great service and really good food. I’ve been here a number of times, and I am yet to be disappointed.

As you enter, you will be welcomed by the large ornate middle-eastern wooden door frame. This is a beautiful location away from the busy Parramatta’s ‘Eat Street’,that looks over the Parramatta River.
The food was absolutely delicious! The potatoes drenched in lemon juices, the fatoush was demolished by my crew and the meats where cooked to perfection.. ✌ @foodiesguidetosydney
This restaurant has been in parramatta for years and has a good strong following. The food is always delicious and is set on a quiet spot on Phillip st away from the chaos of the main strip. i highly recommend choosing a banquet and ladies make sure you wear a dress because you will regret it if you wear something with a waistband. lol.

Came here for lunch on Sunday and had the king prawns with quail, which were both delicious. The dish also had salad which tasted good too. For dessert, I had the sultans arrows - which consisted of strawberries with ice cream on a waffle. This dessert was so tasty, that I wish would never finish. The prices for this restaurant are reasonable, considering that it's located right next to Parramatta river. The view was nice and the place was very elegant. Parking was easy too, since it was Sunday. I had the Yahala mocktail, which tasted a bit like lemonade mixed with grape juice. The staff were friendly and provided great service. The food was delivered quickly and the place offered a great atmosphere, which was neither too noisy nor too quiet. I highly recommend this place to all.
Went here with some friends from the office and we ordered The Harem Banquet. We all enjoyed the food and service very much. They even have the belly dancer that night.

My favourite lunch is the Sahra Feast where you get 3 dips, 3 skewers and much more. Homemade lemon squash is also my fave drink! I never have enough room for dessert except one time and the dessert was awesome! Cannot fault it! Awesome!
Came for a family lunch. We got the $47 banquet. Food was lovely and just enough (not super generous). Meats were amazing I would have had more (if there was more..). Anyhow food was nice and service was good. Just not best value for money.
Normally when dining at Sahra by the River on a Friday or Saturday night you must order their banquet menu - with such a large restaurant I suppose this is how they keep service fast and hungry customers happy. However on this particular Friday night, when I've dragged The Boy off the couch and out for a feast to satisfy my carving for Lebanese food, the restaurant is not very busy so we can order off the al-a-carte menu. Which is lucky for me as I have a wicked craving for Hummus with Mince Meat that must be seen to. Sahra is situated right on Parramatta River and the view is really lovely - calm and relaxing. On a lazy Friday night it's just the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by. This is one of those moments when I'm really very happy to be living just up the road from here (not so much the next day though when it was 38 degrees in Parramatta - ouch). Good value for money. Meal sizes were good, and food was delicious and presented well. The restaurant was set on a scenic spot and the restaurant interior and exterior looked quite classy. Was very impressed with the meal overall and this is one of the best Lebanese Restaurants in Sydney!
Best food fresh and tasteful. Look to be completely honest I have read the negative reviews I myself am a real foodie the food here is the best around for Arabic I have been to them all the negative reviews are the ones that feel paying for a banquet meal is too pricey don't go out if your going to look at getting a great meal for a great price these people haven't the slightest idea about food maybe opt for a takeaway these people are killing the industry if you cook same amount at home it will cost u scabs don't get me wrong I'm the first to blow up a restaurant if food isn't clean or fresh or tasteless but money it will be the death of some lol

This place is a gem that I can't fault. The food was delicious and the service was warm and professional. The decor is authentic Arabian and the place is surprizingly big. Eating at Sahra was a great experience. I'm already craving the grilled meat banquet. Yum!
Really enjoyed each time I went. Being a vegetarian I tend to find it hard to get a restaurant that has a good value/choice of meals for me that isn't Thai or Indian.

LOVED IT. What a night, Ive had the banquet here berfore and was blown away with the quality of the dishes. I thought id try a mid week meal. My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed it. The traditional integrity of all the flavours was not lost. The atmosphere was spot on just the right amount of volume, warmth and hospitality.

Healthier, Happier and Wiser.... I had the pleasure of celebrating my 40th birthday family lunch here on the long weekend here after finding this little gem a few months ago. We had a group of 24 people and were easily accommodated with a couple of small children.
As we had a large group we had to have a set menu which made things much easier and provided a variety of different meals, tastes and flavours. The children were able to order from the menu.
Everyone loved the food on the day which was fresh and tasty and ample proportions for everyone. Even the small children who are normally quite fussy were asking for more.
I must say the service was exemplary with every need attended to promptly by the friendly and efficient wait staff. We also had reasonable views of the river despite the rain on the day, a great day was had by all.
We are coming back ...

Fun night out. Was at Sahra for a birthday party with a large group and had a great time! The food was great, served in shared platters and there was more than enough for everyone at the table. While it's not cheap, there is a belly dancer and fortune teller on Saturday nights. Best to be enjoyed with a group of friends.
Midweek a bit late and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and not at all put out. Loved the spinach pastries and jallab grape juice (but wouldn't tell me what was in them) the barra with walnuts ... Yum. Desserts were a little disappointing lacking the same middle eastern flair but will definitely go back
Great atmosphere for a fun night out on Friday & Saturday nights. I like The kebab and you definitely don't leave hungry.
