Authentic experience and delicious food. Generous and creative presentation of food. Not happy I was charged more than prices in menu.

Very nice and light pho!
It’s the best rice noodles I’ve ever had, it’s thinner than normal ones which makes you feel light and easy after eating, the portion size and amount of beef they give is very generous too.
Soup is a bit too sweet for me but still acceptable.
I like the onion pickle in particular too.

It's the original Pho Pasteur, what more do you want? Food is cheap, plentiful and tasty; come here and eat like Vietnamese royalty! One of the best pho in Sydney.

Pho as old as time

I was very sketpical about the place, the place looks dodgy and old. The staff war friendly, he smiles and greets to you as you enter the restaurant. People says don't judge a book by it's cover and I believe it is true from what they said. The mango drink was really good, it taste really refreshing and fresh. The pho is pretty good, not too salty and it was a clean broth.

I would recommend this place for lunch/brunch/dinner.

This is one of the top three places I come for good Pho within Sydney. The broth here is tasteful, the rice noodles is fresh and the meat is really great. The large Special bowl at $16 is HUGE! The staff here are friendly and are willing to customise your dish whichever you like.

One of my absolute favourite pho restaurants!
Pho is always good and consistent, flavour is always there and well balanced.
Only regularly come here for their pho but their rice paper rolls are also delicious and fresh! Would highly recommend- they have large serves as well!

The portions here for the Pho is quite large! Very filling with its juicy broth and meat. The rice dishes however, personally don’t meet up to par with the pho.

I really recommend this branch of Pho! I loved the service and the interior of the store, it’s so much like Vietnam. The taste of this Pho isn’t like any other, and it’s so unique I absolutely enjoyed it. I also ordered the peach tea and matcha tea which go well with the Pho dac biet and Pho tai.

+3 standard points for standard food
+1 sweet pickled onions
+1 deep broth
+1 no cilantro
+1 nostalgia
5 = pho-rever in my heart

The pho broth here is rich with a heavier beef flavour. Not as clear and crisp as some other establishments, but warm and so very soul reviving! Portion size is very satisfying too :)

I highly recommend the spring rolls! Wrap in lettuce for extra crunch! The noodle salad with pork chops is good too.

I was torn on this place, but after trying a bunch of other pho places (city, strathfield, hornsby) I really can’t find anywhere that tops this. Might be the nostalgia though. The family that runs this joint I remember as a kid.

I heard that Pho Pasteur Pareamatta shop is different from the Sydney shop, so move my feet to try it out. I ordered a beef pho, crispy chicken tomato rice, BBQ beef rice roll and a special Vietnamese herb tea. The herb tea is interesting, but not my cup of tea. The chicken rice is average. The rice roll is good. The beef pho got different taste to the Sydney shop's one. It tastes a lot lighter and less MSG. I like it that way.

Large portions for an incredibly reasonable price. The pho tastes very good and the broth does not have a strong taste of msg like other places.

The chicken noodle soup here was delicious. So too was the  honey chicken. I didn't love the prawn and pork spring rolls but they were ok. I loved the accompaniments that came as extras like lettuce leaves for the spring rolls and herbal leaves and bean sprouts to put in the soup amongst other things. Also very good value for money. Worth a visit.

Have visited this place several times. They are located outside Westfield Parramatta so I normally just park at Westfield and walk there. Pretty close from station too. They have wide variety of dishes and I've tried many of them. My all time favourites are the beef noodle soup (obviously) and the spring rolls!

It is not shocking that Australia may be the next place to enjoy some authentic Vietnamese food out of Vietnam. We are off the west side of Sydney today for some good Pho at Pho Pasteur just right next to the train station. . To me, growing up in Melbourne, a good Pho restaurant has to have that unique smell. As soon as I stepped into the spacious eatery. I could already smell the herb aroma, as well as the sweet and sour taste from the fish sauce, spicy chilli sauce and much more.

I usually get raw beef noodle soup whenever I come here but I wasn't feeling it on a Thursday night :P My friends felt like pho though, so who was I to argue? First time trying something that wasn't their pho so went with another favourite of mine - combination chow mein with crispy noodles!

Portion size was huge which is good considering it was pretty pricey. But there were no scallops at all (understandable, scallops are soo expensive right now) and only one King Prawn! Everything else was great, the chicken perhaps a bit bland but it was decent all in all. The noodles were fried very well - not oily and had an interesting airy texture to it when you bite down.

Will probably try something else next time, or just stick with a good old bowl of pho which they do decently ^^"

A short walk from Parramatta mall sits Pho Pasteur, a reasonably sized and price pho restaurant. Family friendly with space to park your pram and plenty of high chairs, it's a good spot to hit in cold weather.

We ordered the rare beef pho. The quality was average. I found the broth a little salty and my beef was rather chunky and sinuous which is not how I've normally had this dish but it was warm and filling and the service was good. It's a no frills place to eat.

Would go back.

I always test how good a Pho place is by their Special Beef Pho. The first thing is the colour of the broth, the mix of meat in the special (raw slices, briskets, Beef balls, tendons & tripes), then the ratio of meat to noodles. In a way Pho Pasteur's version did tick all of these boxes. The broth was dark in colour, and tasted full of favours. All of the variation of Beef was included, and was generous in amount of meat in the serving. However, the texture & consistency of the tripe was a bit mushy as you bite into it, like it was over bleached. I was left really thirsty after the meal, so there's possibly msg in the broth to booster the flavours. Aside from the Pho, also got some grilled pork rice paper rolls to takeaway. There's not much filling inside each of the roll, but of what's inside was delicious & well balanced. Over still a good option for Viet food in the area.

I have been coming here for years, it always taste the same and its consistent, there pho soup is always good, i love the chicken and tomato rice add a fried egg its amazing. I have never tried this sea food photo my partner always gets it he enjoys it better with soft noodles, the spring rolls are moth watering and leaves u wanting more...

It does not look like much when u walk there is no ambience however sometime i just like going to a restaurant eating and just sitting there in my own thoughts, the stuff are friends and easy going....

Cant wait to go back there this place reminds me of when i was over in Vietnam

the place looks a bit dodgy but actually is very famous for its pho.

Delicious beef soup with load of beef. Good money value. Taste is very authentic according to my viet friends.

Despite pho, fried rice and noodle also recommended. I often came here when I worked in parra office.

Cheap but delicious eat

Cheap, quick and easy pho. Flavour was OK, but I suspect a fair amount of MSG as we were very thirsty afterwards! Generous servings of basil, sprouts and chilli. Fried chicken with noodles was tasty, not too oily but very crispy.

Pho Pasteur... What do I say?... For Vietnamese food in Sydney, it does the job. They do good. It's not crap, but it's not the best quality either. It's not the cleanest of restaurants either. It always feels like you're walking on ice skates in these restaurants. But this Pho Pasteur is one of the better ones. The pictures I've posted are of my egg noodle soup with fried pork chop.

I've been coming here for over a decade. It's a reliable spot for a bowl of Pho. The bowl of pho is flavoursome in broth and you get your usual trimmings of thai basil, bean sprouts, lemon and complimentary tea. The food comes out pretty quickly. Bring cash!! I always take a few minties for the road as well. A great spot for a casual meal.

Decore is out dated and hasn't changed for decades but that's OK!

I've been coming here since I worked in Parramatta about 11 years and have been a regular since I moved to the area 5 years ago.

The place literally has not changed...and that's a good thing I think. The fit out is very basic (laminate tables, all the condiments on the table in a plastic tub, tissues for napkins) so you're hear for yummy food and not a fancy restaurant.

The staff are efficient and will occasionally crack a smile. The are not unfriendly, just....efficient...get 'em in, get 'em out.

They provide a picture menu and lots of menu photos on the wall if you're having trouble ordering. Pho is very popular here, but I love the Bun (Vermicelli noddles) with grilled beef - about $13.50 for a huge bowl. I usually also order a coconut juice which is coconut water with big pieces of coconut - like a drink and dessert all in one!  They have some non vietnamese things on the menu like Laksa and salt & pepper prawns, so the menu should have something for everyone.

This is a great place - good value, big serves and nice, fresh food that comes out fast.

Been visiting Pho Pasteur all over Sydney for years. I started regularly visiting when it first opened in Bankstown almost twenty years ago. The food was delicious back then. Over the years, the quality of Pho Pasteur has varied between the locations, likely due to management changes, high staff turnover...but these are just guesses.

A while back I had a horribly disappointing meal at Pho Pasteur on George Street in the city and decided I wouldn't visit the city Pho Pasteur anymore due to the poor quality. Today I decided to give Pho Pasteur in Parramatta a try today and was pleasantly surprised by the generosity of the portions and the quality of the food. I felt transported to my childhood in the 80s.

I ordered the roll-your-own lemongrass grilled beef and it was really tasty. The bits of beef were nicely barbecued and the lemon grass gave it a lovely aroma. The rice noodles were just a little bit over steamed but still went great with the beef wrapped up inside rice paper, with some bean sprouts, pickled carrots and mint. To accompany my meal I had a ca phe sua da (iced white coffee) which was the perfect balance of bitter and sweet.

I enjoyed today's meal and I'm looking forward to visiting again for another meal.

I have been here so many times I've lost count. I love the food so much I always forget to take a photo. My staple meal there is the Boiled chicken with noodles (which I always sub for steamed bok choy without hassle).

My sister and I are regulars there because the experience is always the same. The service is great and fast paced! Our food on the table within 10 minutes everytime.

The food has good flavour. True to its Vietnamese roots and the portion and prices very reasonable. This is my go to place when I'm tired or in a rush as there is little expectation from staff or patrons. I rock up In trackies scoff my food down and leave. 👌

Definitely the best pho in parramatta!

Pho pasteur is my go to place for pho back in Sydney. Conveniently located on the Asian side of Church St Parramatta, this is my travel family's favourite place to dine. Fast, friendly service and cheap menu make for a good meal all round.
Raw Beef Pho - $11.50 (reg), $13.50 (large) I love the darker soup that comes with the beef, I think it has a richer flavour, but I'm not a big fan of red meat apart from heavenly lamb. That being said I do go for the special beef if I want beef, but my friends love raw beef. The meat is quite good quality, not a lot of sinew and doesn't get tough too fast. Also their serving sizes are massive, unless I've skipped a meal and am starving, I never manage to finish a regular.

Pho Pasteur is a well known restaurant in Parramatta.  There's a copy cat on Argyle St as well which is a cleaner version.  I like to go to both for different reasons.  I line the original store on Church St because I think the Pho (Noodle Soup) broth is amazing and full of flavour. This restaurant has been in Parramatta forever.  Apparently it's famous in Saigon according to the spoon. The regular size of Pho Tai is $11.50 (Noodle soup with Raw Beef) and is more than adequate for your average appetite. The broth is full of flavour and packs a punch of flavour. Compliment the flavours of the broth with thai basil, lemon, chili and bean sprouts!  If you love the classic pho flavours, you can also add more hoisin sauce and thick chili sauce. If you read through all my Vietnamese blogs, you'll see that I order the Vietnamese pancake when I can because I love it! It's generally full of bean sprouts, a touch of pork and a few rare prawns ($14.50). The Pho Pasteur Church St version is good b

Great cheap eat. Whenever in Parra I always stop by here for lunch. I've fallen in love with their special beef pho and their beef phos in general. Such fantastic flavour. The regular is certainly more than enough to fill you, but in case you want more noodles and meat the large is only $1 extra. Hubby had the large and he eats a lot so it was good to hear him say that his meal completely satisfied him.
Whenever I get noodle soups I don't usually drink all of the broth, but this broth demanded to be drinken. It was fantastic! I absolutely loved it. No sauces were needed to be added.
This place also provides tea free of charge with every meal. Highly recommend this place even if it is just for the pho. Staff are also lovely and the food arrived very quickly.

Decent Pho. Food - 7/10
Service - 5/10
Ambience - 5/10
Value - 6/10

I've only really tried the Pho at this place, the broth is very sweet and syrupy? Nicely flavoured. The service is pretty crap and the decor's similar to all Vietnamese restaurants (minimal). For about 10 bucks you can be decently well-fed on the pho. Be warned though, you'll be very thirsty afterwards!

Good Pho!. After hearing great reviews about Pho Pasteur across the Internet, we decided to find out what all of the fuss was about and to put our taste buds to the test. Our first test though was trying to work out why there were two Pho Pasteur restaurants in Parramatta. Apparently they are both part of the same chain of restaurants also found in Bankstown and in the city.

We opted for the original Pho Pasteur restaurant on Church Street seeing as though the Westfield restaurant was disappointingly empty dead on lunch time.

The usual range of Phos were available: Raw Beef, Cooked Beef, Beef Balls, Tripe and Chicken Pho. They also had a Stewed Beef Pho and a Spicy Pork & Beef Pho. The regular sized Pho was $10.50 while for a mere $1 more, you could up size to a large. We did notice however, that the larger size consisted of more noodles not more broth.

The Raw Beef Pho was superb. It was light, fresh, clear and very smooth. I could drink this broth straight, no noodles required. They seemed to be more generous with the onion garnish here than their competitors however we did notice that satay sauce was missing from the table. This was easily rectified with a call to the waiter.

The Chicken Pho however was very disappointing. The chicken tasted like a roasted chook, it didn't seem authentic at all. The broth did not taste light and fresh as did its counterpart. There was a great difference between the qualities of the two Phos which made it very hard to believe that they came from the same kitchen.

The experience here was a little hit and miss. If you do find yourself at Pho Pasteur on Church Street, we'd recommend ordering a Pho with beef broth and giving the Chicken Pho a miss.

A great place for quick and comforting food. Ordered the pho (beef and beef balls as well as special) and the northern style spring rolls. Large servings. Tender beef with fresh produce, though the broth could be more fragrant with a less water ratio. The spring rolls was well seasoned with lots of fillings. Efficient and friendly service.
