Review Nang Vietnamese Cusine - Parramatta

We were just wandering around in Parramatta and found this amazing place. Though I have no idea of how Vietnamese food taste but after eating at this restaurant, I really liked it. The ambience of the restaurant is authentic and is a quiet place. The food was simply amazing and the quantity of food overwhelmed me. A real good place for Vietnamese cuisine to give a try with speciality of Pho and goat curry. Staff is really polite and friendly. Will like to visit this place again.

We enjoyed our food here, however the language could be a barrier. There was a confusion with the spring rolls which we believed were being changed to vegetarian on request while it arrived with all the works included. All in all, a good experience. The staff are very helpful. Would return.

My partner and I had lunch here. The waiter read our minds when we wanted some table water and the food was really good. The banana choc smoothie is not too chocolaty and the deep fried banana was a great ending to the experience.

First impressions, nice decor and ambiance for a Vietnamese restaurant, that is until we got there. 🤣 Ordered the lunch special, Pho with rare beef and a Vietnamese Ice Coffee for $13.80. The portion size of the pho was a little disappointing compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Maybe it's just the lunch special... 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ The food and coffee was nice but the broth had a layer of oil on the top. Possibly because they scooped the broth straight from the top instead of the base of the pot. I didn't bother complaining as I was with a large group of work colleagues. All in all their pho was good and I'd go back to try their other menu items. 3.5 stars.

Been there a couple of times now, best environment of a Vietnamese Restaurant. Liked the fried rice, stir fry veggies, soup and crispy vege pancake.

Neat, tasty Vietnamese....nice ambience, couteous hosts, adequate helpings..my favorites : rice paper rolls, chicken wings, veg pankcake (green gram)....kaamang (thank you) and kampochi (no worries) are the lovely additions to my vocab from the spirited hosts.

This is a really great place for Vietnamese food. I came with a party of four for dinner on a Saturday night. I had booked the day before. We had a great table reserved when we arrived. The decor is simple and stylish; lots of clean lines and wooden wall hangings. The service was very prompt. The waiter was really helpful, especially in regard to information about food contents for allergies. The food was really good and prices are mid-range. The pork in the clay pot was delicious, so was the chicken and cashew.

We went for a date night. Walked in off the street and were seated immediately. The food was cheap for that part of Parramatta. We tried some more exotic sounding dishes and were impressed with the fresh salad. It is good Vietnamese food. More fine dining than other Vietnamese restaurants in Parramatta - which means that the dishes had more variety, but pricier too. We felt the service was perfectly timed for a relaxed evening out.

Had a bad experience at this place. Ordered basil, lemongrass chicken and they came out with a curry/soy sauce chicken. Proceeded to let the waiter know it was a wrong order but they would not change it and said that it was a correct order. However on the image of the dish I ordered, the chicken was white and where is the basil and lemongrass?? Did not taste anything like what I ordered. Extremely disappointed.

Stopped in for a quick light meal. Friendly wait staff and a fairly broad Vietnamese menu with all the usual fare.
I had crispy fried chicken with pho noodle soup. The broth was pleasant and accompanied with chilies, lemon, sprouts, herbs and sauces. The chicken was crispy and succulent, cooked on the bone. Very enjoyable.
My wife had a crispy Vietnamese pancake which was light but filling and very tasty.
All in all a very pleasant meal at a reasonable price. A good spur of the moment pick.

All entrée here are spectacularly awesome, especially spring rolls and chicken wings and main dishes of Pho noodles soup are so wonderful. Such an authentic Vietnamese taste. Truly become a loyal customer here

Some foods can be extremely flavoursome and tasty, some are a bit more on the bland side.
Very cute boutique restaurant hidden in Parramatta with lovely staff.
Would definitely appreciate more beer options on the menu but love that all wines are available by glass and bottle.
Specially loved the lemongrass chicken and their phos.

We’re Vietnamese and ordered a beef pho, chicken cashew stirfry and a lemon, lime and mint drink and we were pleasantly surprised and found the food exceeded our expectations. Pho was a decent size with plenty of beef, with exactly the right flavours and came with the required bean sprouts, Vietnamese basil, chilli, hoisin sauce and siracha sauce. Whilst this place is on the pricier side for Vietnamese food we will be coming back. Food come out quickly and staff were obliging. We look forward to trying more dishes. The food was authentic.

Love this restaurant! Dined in at least 5 times and also ordered take-away a couple of times and food is always on point. This time we ordered the chicken wings to start, chicken with lemongrass and the grilled steak with tamarind and chilli sauce. The chicken wings are crispy on the outside and juicy inside and a must order for us every time we eat here however the stand out dish was definitely the steak with tamarind and chilli. The steak was char grilled and tender with a smoky flavour and the sauce full of flavour. The steak looked and smelled so good we tucked in before I remembered to take a photo.

Also recommend the meat spring rolls, goat curry, chilli salt squid and chicken with lemongrass. Staff are very friendly and take-away orders are always ready very quickly and spot on time if you pre-order. Highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back and try some different dishes off the menu. They also allow BYO which is an added bonus

Wow. Such a comfortable setting in a great location. The food at Nang completely blew us away! Both the Spring and Summer Rolls were absolutely delicious! The Soft Shell Crab was to die for, and such a generous serve. The Caramelised Pork and Shaking Beef were so tender, as was the Goat curry. Every meat simply melted in your mouth. We enjoyed our experience so much, and we will be returning in the near future.

Ordered takeaway brisket pho here last night. It was so delicious, serving was generous, all condiments packed neatly. Will order again as it is my new favourite pho local place.

Food is good. Service was good. I like the beef pho a lot. It reminds me of the ones I had when I traveled to Vietnam couple years ago. Will come back to try more dishes.

Walking into this place, I noticed the place had a nice and clean environment. The lantern looking lights and furniture gave a feel that I was in Vietnam... well not really. But the the guy who served us was friendly.

So going to a Vietnamese restaurant, the thing I always look forward to try was the beef noodle soup aka pho. So I picked it in the menu - C4 special beef noodle soup.

Service was a bit slow, our pho took about 15 mins to come out. It was lunch hours but but the place was hardly busy.

On to the pho. It was quite fragrant as it got to our table. Mix it up with the basil, bean sprouts and a little bit of fresh chilli and squeeze of lemon and bobs your uncle. The broth was fatty with a a thick layer of oil... actually more than normal. I've never had pho with this much fat. A little was ok to give it some depth and flavour, but this was quite excessive, I needed some hot tea to balance out the fat, but guess what, we had no tea. The broth was also a little salty (msg) and left me wanting to find a drink the whole afternoon , even few hours after eating. The beef slice was a bit tough, if only they placed it in rare and let it cook in the bowl. *sigh* The beef balls were hard, like it's been in the freezer for some time. At least the thin slice of beef brisket was there and had a nice layer of fat to it. Also a Thumbs up for the serving size, I almost struggled to finish the bowl.

Overall an average bowl of pho, I felt kinda ripped off as I paid for a special only to find that the tripe and tendons were missing. Sure not a big deal, maybe they catered to westerners pallets, it is Parramatta and not Cabramatta after all. Still, the authenticity felt like it was slipping away. Felt like I was in Parramatta all this time and not a place that at first, gave a feel of Vietnam.

Would I come back? Maybe to try other things, but if I wanted a bowl of pho... I'll just stick to Cabramatta.

Amazing decor. My experiences here are always excellent. Love to have lunch with my friends here because it is not too busy at that time. Foods are beyond expectation and staffs are nice. Fantastic view from my table last Friday...

Had lunch at the restaurant last week. My friends and I had the papaya salad and the shaking beef dish. Both of them were really nice. Friendly staff.

Okay... So it all started with the signage on the front door. We went there 5pm on the dot, the sign at the front door was showing "closed". So me and my friend decided to have a quick pre-drink and come back since it was bit cold. After 45min, this place is still closed... people were standing outside and clearly waiting. One brave couple decided to push the door and walk in... and guess what? They were open! Wouldn't anyone inside find it bit odd how those people who lined up outside????? Okay.. let's talk about food. Not 100% satisfied. Expensive for the quality. However, it is very clean restaurant. We ordered 4 different dishes, I only can say chicken wings were A-OK.

Went to Nang restaurant few days ago and was very happy with my dining experience there. The food was fantastic especially the goat curry and caramelized pork served with steam rice. The decor is quite unique with beautiful wood panels along the wall. Staff are also friendly and so helpful. I already booked my next dinner with friends here next week!

Food and service was okay. Cleaner than most Vietnamese restaurants around the area. Beef noodle soup was nothing spectacular. Serving size was good. I would come for the food if i was craving vietnamese but not for service.

Great place to chill with friends and family. Loved the exterior design of the shop. Inside, the lighting was very comforting. We ordered pho, bun cha and prawn tempura. Foods were pretty delicious and nicely presented but not sure about the prawn tempura, although it was delicious I felt was a bit pricy.
Staffs were super kind and friendly! I would definitely visit this place again.

Five of us had a really good lunch here on a Saturday. The decor was pleasant and reminded one of Vietnam , wasn't like the usual Pho places. Great for taking clients along. We ordered a few dishes and rice to share. The pancake was crispy and papaya salad with fresh mint was good too . We also had braised pork , lemon grass chicken, and a goat curry with lots of lemon grass. Spices and herbs were prominent and didn't feel like there was msg used. All of us enjoyed the food The beef pho smelled so good from another table that we agreed that we have to come back again for it soon.

A nice place to stop for Vietnamese if in the area (two hotels are located across the road). The summer rolls were good but the stand out was the beef pho, with the rare slices added and "cooked" in the soup just like I grew up eating

This is currently my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in entire Sydney. I wouldn't mind travelling to Parramatta, everyday, just for a bowl of their special Pho.

If you've been to Saigon, and now coming here, you would be forgiven in thinking that you are still in Saigon. The decoration, the food, the staff uniforms, all combined and deliver a very complete dining experience which made me wanting to come back again and again. Honestly it cannot get any more authentic than this.

Price wise, to me it's quite reasonable for the quality of produce and serving portion. Being Asian my family always order steamed rice, and here, I am particular pleased to find out that they only charge $2 for a full bowl of rice; whereas majority of places now have the audacity to charge $3 for a mediocre bowl of steamed rice.

[HIGHLY] Recommended dishes: Special pho, chicken wings, Papaya salad, deep fried salmon with ginger fish sauce, Vietnamese curry, the creme caramel flan dessert and of course, Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk.

We went here for Saturday lunch - wonderful ambience recalling the French colonial period of Vietnam and interesting decor and objects; artwork in the style of Bui Xuan Phai. We had two dishes - delicious, nicely sized and great quality. Tender squid! Lovely Pho Bo. Parramatta needs a quality Vietnamese restaurant and now we have one :)

Went to Nang last night and it was a wonderful surprise. Honestly (sorry) I did not expect a vietnamese restaurant has this high standard. I love the decoration here especially the wood panels on the wall, they look antique and so unique. The lanterns are also amazingly beautiful, they must be imported from Asia. But most importantly, the food was so authentic. Although some of the items are a bit pricey compared to those typical vietnamese outlets in Bankstown or Marrickville but it is worth for the wonderful night out. This is the place where you can enjoy a glass of wine...

I was in Paramatta and visited for lunch. The staff were friendly and the vermicelli was fantastic. I have recommended to friends and will visit again!

Not for me. Menu promised plenty, however the food was a huge letdown. If I wanted suburban Chinese I would have gone to my local BYO (no corkage) eatery. Twice as nice, half the price.

Crisp clean original Vietnamese flavours that delight the palate. Dined here once with my partner and then almost immediately invited friends here as well. Highly recommended.
