Review Badmanner Thymes Espresso - Parramatta

Bruno Rodríguez Armesto
Great small brunch and breakfast place near Parramatta station. Good coffee (large cups are disposable which was not great, but I guess it was a temporary thing) and really good food. Ottoman eggs and the crab pasta were excellent.

Second visit here and I enjoy their signature Ottoman eggs which is so uniquely and presently different to other venues. However this time the pasta was a disappointment. It was yum, but portion was just not acceptable for a lunch menu. It's a bit more than what you'd get in a fine dining. We had to go next door for a pho to fill ourselves up.

We were planning to have a brunch somewhere else but it was not open yet so we ended up here. It was my first time so I wasn't sure what to order. We decided to go for the zaatar chicken salad and ottoman eggs and we absolutely love it. I've tried a lot of cafe food and most of them are just ok. But what we had here was on another level. I would pay for this food anytime. The staff were polite and accommodating. The place is small so we were lucky to get a table. I'll definitely be back to try other food in the menu. Highly recommended!

How good is the food here?! We wanted to try almost everything on the menu. The service was very friendly and efficient. The dishes we ordered were both really delicious so we'll be back for sure to try some other things. Yum!

Found this place on Trip Advisor and stopped in for breakfast and a coffee. I had the home made granola and a soy flat white. Both were exceptional with an overall impressive, vegan menu. Fantastic, quick and friendly service and a great atmosphere both inside and out. Highly recommended.

They have very unique menu, plus their food was delicious too. Of course, their coffee was amazing too. Would love to go there again, whenever I am back in Sydney.

The perfect outdoor Sunday afternoon brunch cafe that is a must try if you love a good unique menu. Food is delicious, very good portions, coffee amazing and overall a great experience. You can’t go past the Ottoman Eggs or Baked Eggs. A regular brunch my partner and I visit regularly.

My husband and I go to place for a good coffee and meal! Food is unique and caters to vegetarians and non vegetarian. Staff are always friendly and food and drinks are always delicious. Love that it's dog friendly as well! Recommend the avocado with a side order of their house made focaccia.

Excellent service and awesome food. The Badmanner Brekkie is a huge serve of all the breakfast faves on a plate. Can’t go wrong with coffee from The Grounds as well. Love this place.

Amazing portion!! Price and portion are worth it

A decent Eggs Benedict but nothing special - which sums up my experience of the cafe as decent in every regard but nothing too special. Although I think I'd definitely need to try them again because all the other reviews seem to say otherwise.

I had the Spanish eggs with chorizo, which was really tasty and filling. Good coffee, quite small though. Cute little brunch place. Zomato had a 10% off deal which we had some trouble redeeming but otherwise service was ok.

I ventured to this cafe since I wanted to try something new in Parramatta. I ordered the pumpkin, sweet potato and corn fritters. It came with beetroot, shaved zucchini, avocado, mixed seeds and poached eggs on toasted sourdough. The dish was pleasant and fresh - I would recommend it to someone wanting a filling and balanced dish. <br/><br/>The atmosphere was quieter than usual for a typical Saturday morning. The service attendant might have been in training and/or was new but they weren’t knowledgeable of the food the cafe served or the deals it had on. Consequently, the service was below expectations.
Annabelle McHugh
My boyfriend and I had the Spanish baked eggs and he reckons it’s the best breakfast he’s ever had! We loved it!! Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff and a lovely setting... if you’re around the area please try it!
Nadia
Great food, friendly staff. We had 15 people lunch and were given the separate room. It was quiet enough to have a good conversation. Thanks!

Great cafe in Parramatta, food was served timely and cooked very well. Definitely a place I would visit again with friends. <br/><br/>Ordered the Eggs Benedict and the yolk of the eggs were perfect. The food was well presented and the layout of the cafe made the dining experience that much better. <br/><br/>Look forward to trying other items on the menu soon!

We ordered the Trios and French toast shared with my wife for a relaxed Sunday brunch. Really good food and friendly prompt service. Highly Recommended!

Relaxed atmosphere and great decor. Came here to catch up with a good friend. Service was fast and food was great. Took the trio benedict and felt a bit queasy at the end. Was the last time I would ever order eggs benedict from any cafe menu!

Food is amazing! The pasta special fettuccine with chicken and chorizo with pink sauce is a 10/10! Their Shashuka was nice but unfortunately extremely oily to the point where it was very disturbing and off putting. The service is lovely and the wait time for food is about 15 minutes.
Michael
We had an enjoyable lunch here for the first time today. We decided to have one of the specials, roast pork, along with the penne chicken pesto. The pasta was good but the roast pork was very good. Very tender with a crispy crackling on a bed of mash, some green beans. The gravy was on the salty side for us but probably fine for others. Coffee was good too. Will drop in again some time.

Overall service was super friendly and prompt. The coffee blend here is okay, but the food is what you should go for. <br/>I decided to order the baked eggs, which has a nice spice to it and was very flavoursome. I do recommend it! The downside to it, which I suppose can be easily fixed, is the fact that the dish is WAY TOO OILY.. and I mean unnecessarily oily. This made the dish difficult to finish. The sourdough was also pre-buttered, but in my preference should be optional. <br/>The special of the week was the chicken and chorizo fettuccini, which I also recommend if it’s still there ! The flavours complement each other very well and the chicken was near perfectly cooked.

It was a great experience We have lived in Parramatta for 2 years but didn’t know this place it is shame :(<br/> I ordered prawn risotto with avo it was great ! prawns were so fresh n big enough to make me happy <br/>My friend ordered chicken salad (sort of) it was also so generous in portion and tasted good enough<br/><br/><br/>Coffee was a little burnt but it was okay :) deserve to spend ur time n money here :)

Lovely breaky with nice coffee - more importantly the staff + service were excellent. Spanish baked eggs were great. Would come back and do recommend.

This is a cute little place.<br/><br/>Had brunch here last week with a friend. The food was fine no complaints and service is very friendly and great. <br/><br/>It's a casual place with casual presentation of their food. If you're looking to just go somewhere and have a nice simple lunch, then this is is.<br/><br/>I would definitely go back there again.
Zara
Really good customer service, the people were very accommodating and lovely. However the food was very average- my friend had the eggs Benedict which was fine and I had the fritters which were near inedible. The drinks were good though but I would not come back.
Anuschka Mijnhout
Very friendly and accomodating service. My husband and I ordered the triple poached eggs and the french toast. Because we decided to share the dishes we requested the dishes to be served separate with a 20min interval. When the french toast arrived we were happy surprised that it was already presented on 2 plates. <br/>

This cosy café in a quiet Parramatta laneway has plenty of nearby competition but seems to be very popular indeed. The décor is casual and the place has a nice friendly vibe. We are keen for a good brunch and the menu looks enticing. We made our choices while Dame A enjoyed the “Tropical” juice and I had a superb coffee.

Great food, very friendly staffs and reasonably priced. Comes with good coffee too. My avo stack was the best I've tasted so far. Highly recommended.

In Short: Badmanner Thymes serves up delicious looking plates of food that are packed with flavour and substance. I would recommend the baked eggs if you’re hungry and the French toast if you have a sweet tooth. One of Parramatta’s best cafes!. I lived in Parramatta for a couple of years back in the day, and Philip Street back then was quite unremarkable, and far from a dining destination. Fast forward to today, and there’s a great little cafe vibe going. In the 100 metre section around Horwood Place, there’s 3 contemporary styled cafes. On a Saturday morning 2 out of the 3 are open, and Badmanner Thymes is pumping! The cafe is part whimsical, part eclectic and doesn’t follow a formulaic 2017 cafe fit-out brief. It’s dominated by a huge blackboard with cool illustrations. There’s distressed wood panels, and rustic hanging caged lamp shades with exposed squirrel caged element bulbs. There’s plenty of space to dine and even a little room, which on our visit, was filled with participants partaking in a serious board game.  Overall it’s a really welcoming atmosphere; warm, cosy with the bass of the latest tunes rumbling in the background.

Nice place to chill. Not too crowded. The ambience is suitable for quiet catchup with friends, reading or working on your laptop. Power plugs can be found near some seats. Helpful and friendly staff. We had the spicy baked eggs and trio benedict. Food were value for money. One thing worth mentioning is that the seats are separated from the coffee machine, hence it isn't noisy and you don't have to scream your lungs out to be heard.

We had lunch here this afternoon. It's a nice cafe tucked from Paramatta CBD. We had the Halloumi burger and my friend had the Barramundi fillet. Both meals arrived with a portion of chips. The burger was ok. A bit messy as everything kept falling out of it. <br/><br/>The best part was the coffee. It was excellent. They seem to have a good breakfast menu too.

Call me a country pumpkin and a cheapskate but a trip to Parramatta has considerably saved me a few more dollars and brought me a couple surprises. Situated along the quiet Horwood Place near Parramatta Square, the brunch specialists offer a range of Brewtown cronuts, breakfast rolls and reinvented breakfast classics, including the trio benedict, a sumptuous breakfast of three different types of eggs benedict. <br/><br/>The taste green benny, or avocado toast with spinach, mushroom and green pea, was very mild and indistinguishable from the regular standard eggs benny with bacon and spinach. Both hollandaise sauce was too mild and could not bridge the raw spinach with the bacon/mushroom. A stronger and more distinct hollandaise sauce would help. The Mediterranean style benedict with smoked salmon and spinach was more flavourful but the salmon appears stale and fishy.

Aesome little cafe in Parramatta. Food is reasonably priced and portions are great. Atmosphere is very relaxed and plenty of seating inside. Highly recommended.

Easily my favourite brunch spot in Parramatta! The food, atmosphere and service is amazing. I recommend the Halloumi burger, chicken burger, salmon fillet and the green tea latte! Definitely a must try!
Meera Rajagopalan
My friend and I had lunch on 30 March at this cafe.  We had the lentil salad and the haloumi + other roasted vegetables burger , coffee and chai latte.<br/><br/>The meal was excellent. Coffee and Chai Latte were also very good.<br/><br/>The person serving us was really helpful and accommodating us vegetarians with choice of food and selections. Service was prompt. <br/><br/>The place has a good ambiance and is an asset to the Cafe Scene in Parramatta

Great food and really friendly staff - a waiter saw I had a camera with and suggested a seat with better lighting. Would definitely come again :)

Came here wishfully thinking that there may be a vegan option that I could happily pick straight off the menu. Fortunately, although there wasn't, the staff were happy to customise a salad option for me. I think though that they were only happy to do so because they knew that they would charge me $18 for $3 worth of ingredients. I make more robust, tasty salads when I slap something together to take to work in the mornings. The staff are super friendly, but again Parramatta dining leaves me feeling slightly disheartened.
HubbyBubby
Bigger than it looks, has loads of space and is kid friendly! Food was good enough. Service is excellent and so is the vibe of this place. Will be looking to come back.

This place is in a cute little location away from the hustle and bustle of the busy main street. <br/>Service was great and the waiters were super polite. <br/>Food came out in a timely manner and was presented beautifully. <br/>Taste was great too. <br/>There is plenty of seating available inside and outside and is easy to get to whether you're driving (there is parking available on the street or a cheap car park across the road) or coming by public transport. <br/>Would definitely recommend this place for eats with family and friends.

Badmanner Thymes is a great little breakfast spot but be careful what you pick off the menu! The fresh juices are fantastic and so is the muesli however I found on 3 out of 3 occasions the poached eggs are terrible. The eggs are swimming in vinegar which ruins everything else on the plate (Avo, toast, spinach etc). Get rid of the vinegar and I'm sure they will taste heaps better!

After hearing so much about Badmanner Thymes it was about 'thyme' we checked it out! The cafe is located just outside the bustling Parramatta CBD. Upon arrival we were kindly welcomed and seated by the friendly staff. The cafe was warm and quirky with the option to sit inside or out. We ordered drinks to start as the menu proved tricky to choose from because everything sounded so good! The drinks we chose were the Pink Lady Frappe and a coffee. The Pink Lady Frappe was HUGE and we ended up sharing it after I'd finished my coffee. It was incredibly refreshing thanks to the ingredients - strawberry, watermelon, lemon and mint and a dash of lemonade to top it off! The coffee tasted incredible too. I even ordered a second one - a rare occasion forAs for food, my friend got the Eggs Bendict Trio and I got the Bad Manner Breakfast. We both thought the Eggs Benedict Trio was such a innovative idea and were keen to see how the 'Taste Green' and 'Mediterranean' versions stacked up against the original 'Standard'. The Taste Green eggs benny had avo, spinach, mushrooms and green peas with a pesto hollandaise. It was my friend's least favourite of the trio because the veggies left the bread quite soggy and the flavour was lacking compared to the other two. The Mediterranean eggs benny had smoked salmon and spinach with a red (maybe sun dried tomato?) hollandaise. This one was very good. The smoked salmon was flavourful but not overpowering. The Standard eggs benny had bacon and spinach with regular hollandaise. The Standard couldn't be beaten this time! The bacon was great and the hollandaise was creamy. I do have to say, the eggs were all cooked perfectly and overall the meal was thoroughly enjoyed!
Issac_eatsalot
Great cafe with a menu to suit all. I ordered a new item, Mediterranean breakfast. It included new house made croquettes and haloumi which was great. The real highlight was the French toast. The caramelized banana and ice cream (for summer) was a great combo.

Lovely cafe! Staff were friendly, and the food was amazing. Good choice of meals, with burgers, delicious salads, breakfast, and lunch. Coffee was delicious too, and I'm a huge coffee snob. I had the salmon salad and my friend had the steak burger. I was a very happy customer 🙌
Rebecca
A cute little coffee shop with plenty of indoor seating and an extensive menu. The coffee was ok but not as good as I was hoping. The bichure muesli was a generous portion with fresh fruit.
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
Located away from the hustle and bustle of the main Parramatta shopping district, Badmanner Thymes is well worth seeking out. They offer a great value menu, good food and genuine service making for a great dining experience. <br/><br/>Dine alfresco or take a seat inside this wonderfully quirky cafe and enjoy meals such as the Trio Benedict - three beautifully soft poached eggs with different accompaniments including your traditional bacon, one with salmon and a veg version, all served with spinach for that extra hit of greens, and served on the one plate. A great option for those that can never decide between the bacon (ham) or salmon - have both and get a bonus eggs florentine with a twist. And all for just $18!<br/><br/>The kimchi and pulled pork burger was full of flavour and filling, and is a great option if you're a fan of tender slow cooked pork.<br/><br/>I'm a big believer that sweet and savoury makes for a perfectly balanced breakfast/brunch so we also had the French Toast which was a sensory delight: thick cut eggy toast with caramelised banana, slivers of strawberries, pops of crunchy granola, with vanilla mascarpone and just the right amount of maple syrup. Delish! <br/><br/>The meal was complemented with a very pretty fresh juice of greens contributing towards the recommended five serves of veg a day.<br/><br/>Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
The Next Rush
If you're like me and cant decide - go for the TRIO BENEDICT - it's got every kind of eggs benedict there is on one plate and will not let you down!  It's perfect, there's a bacon/spinach, then mediterranean with smoke salmon, and the third is avocado and spinach!KIMCHI PULLED BURGER was really good!   It didnt have the kimchi bitterness I expected and sat more on a sweet side because of the apple slaw and aioli that breathe life into the 6 hour cooked pulled pork!   I'm not a FRENCH TOAST kind of person and was not aware this classic dish had been given the ultimate makeover across all cafes since last I had it about 3 or 4 prime ministers ago and I was gobsmacked.   It's like dishes were fused together here - with the strawberries and cream, granola trails around the plate with the delicate thick cut of french toast tucked at its base!   Definitely my favorite of the meal!!!<br/><br/>From organic teas, frappes, coffee, smoothies and cold drips - the sunny day called for a fresh juice and it was a nice refresher that was weaved in sip by sip throughout the meal.  <br/><br/> TROPICAL - watermelon, orange, pineapple and lemon was perfect!<br/><br/>We started off outside which was nice and then moved inside to the modern street art covered walls inside!   Great friendly service, super fast wait times (bout 14 minutes) from the time of order and great ambience.  Would definitely come visit again!

Had the baked eggs ($14). On the smallish size but was well flavoured. Let down was the egg which i was hoping would have the runny yolk but came out more like the fried egg they serve in maccas sausage and egg mc muffin. Friend had the kimchi pulled pork burger which he said was quite good. Another had the pumpkin grilled chicken salad. I actually quite liked this dish from what i tasted. The pinenuts and seasoning meshed well with the other components. Would have been nicer though if it had been a warm salad instead of cold but to each their own i guess. Also had a long black. Campos coffee.

Food was nice but your typical breakfast menu. Was nothing really wow and the coffee was ok. The hollandaise sauce was too buttery on the eggs benedict, the baked eggs were nice but very filling and the burcher muesli was delicious. Don't know if it was worth coming back to Becuase I felt I could make everything on the menu myself.
HurryDaFoodup
Went for breakfast as soon as they opened at 8 am on a Sunday! The service was good but it was slow. Really wish he would just write down the order on a piece of paper rather than trying to remember it. It never impresses me- I'd be happier if you'd just being what I order rather Han forgetting an item. But moving on from that, the food is really good - the baked eggs and the refreshing Bircher muesli is at the top of recommendations from me! The coffee is average so it's not the place for coffee.
Nsk
This is my favourite cafe in Parramatta! Always consistent with their food and perfect for a lazy weekend brunch. The staff are awesome, the decor is nice and cosy and the place is very clean. It's the worst when you're dieting because their cronuts and milkshakes are a MUST everytime I come here 😂🙏🏼

This place is hard to spot because well it is in a calm lane but it will be hard to forget once you have been there . What a quirky interior . It will surely keep you occupied till your food arrives. Ordered egg Benedict with salmon and egg sandwich. The serving was sumptuous . Not a fancy presentation but it was delicious and filling . Nicely prepared. Coffee was good not great . Staff was super nice and friendly.

The name of this place is what caught my attention when I walked by. True the roast pumpkin and chicken salad and it was simply delicious although had a bit too much olive oil. The chicken was cooked perfectly and wonderfully flavoured. The coffee was big and tasted great - very good value for money
Amy
Had the French toast with mascarpone cream and the big brekky. The pork sausages tasted like the cheap ones you get from woolies, hashbrowns were done nicely tho. The fish also needed a relish of some sort to tie it all together. The French toast was yum with a generous serving of maple syrup but wasn't drowning in it which was good. Service was great
Elle
Came here this weekend and was so disappointed. Worst breakfast I have had at a cafe. Simple dishes that have the potential to be good but lack seasoning and are not cooked correctly.

Food : Good 😊<br/>Drinks : Great 😁<br/>Service : Great 😁<br/><br/>So the new menu came out today & we had the privilege of trying out some of the new dishes ... I think. Being our first time here the service was great. Very friendly staff with plenty of smiles around. The food was good. The Salt and Pepper Calamari was okay. Could of been more crispier and maybe more sauce but the side salad was really good. The Breakfast bruschetta was hella nice 👌🏼& the drinks are cool and refreshing. It's defs worth a try
Anna
I had the french toast and detox juice. Looking at the menu, you will straight away notice the fantastic prices. $9 for the french toast was immensely appealing and when it came out, I was not disappointed. The gelato was good, fruit really fresh, and loved the strong cinnamon taste! Great value. The juice was nice too and they give you quite a bit but it is pretty standard juice pricing. Also from memory it was supposed to be apple, orange, lemon, celery, and ginger, but I felt they had put way too much lemon (and ginger) as it was really sour. Could be because I'm not too good with sour foods though. It was still drinkable and felt quite healthy and refreshing.<br/><br/>Staff are really laid back and friendly. A nice cafe to visit in the Parramatta area.
FluffyGroodle
Quirky name + amusing decor + friendly service = great dining experience 😊 I had the hangover burger, which is like a bruschetta waking up in the morning with an Eggs Benedict without the sauce...a very pleasant experience, mind you 😘 The coffee was superb, without any hint of sourness that you can sometimes get. One of the better places to head to if you're in the Parramatta area!
Chickydee
Smoked salmon breakfasts always held a special appeal for me, and the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon here fills the breakfast need quite nicely. The hollandaise sauce is thick and creamy, offsetting the smoky saltiness of the salmon, the poached eggs and the nice bed of spinach. Yum!<br/>
Amys_food_adventures
One of my fav cafe's in the Parra area. Take a seat indoor or outdoor as it is table service. I loved the mushrooms on toast as well as the breakfast burger. Prices are very reasonable, some might say pretty cheap for the food they offer. Tasty and good presentation. Coffee is good too, staff efficient and friendly.
_simplypeckish
I would say this is one of the best cafes I've been to in Parramatta. Good food with fairly reasonable prices. Staff was very friendly as well. Can't say the coffee is good though. I ordered a long black and it was slightly sour. Nevertheless, I would return back for the food.

Lovely place for a Sunday brunch. Quite busy but the service was good. Lots of options for a brekkie along with beautiful coffee. We had the badmanner burger, which is worth a try for sure

Dissapointed compared to the high recommendation. The kimchi burger is the signature dish but has bacon in it. So, did not try it. Rest items and service didn't impress.

Greeted by warm, friendly staff, and a hint of Espresso on the air, and tasty looking cronuts staring at you from the front counter; this place is on to something.<br/><br/>The Espresso is rich, with deep, warm chocolatey, nutty undertones; the crema just right, and the latte art, the finishing touch.<br/><br/>The Red Velvet Cronut adds an interesting touch to the afternoon's coffee outing; matched by the spinced fruit and cinnamon cruffin.<br/><br/>If you like real coffee this place is for you. If you like watered down, acidic, fruity, brown water; keep going to Mcdonalds or Campos for your coffee and feast on the cronut goodness instead.

Parramatta is starting to have a lot more of these little cafes scattered around on the streets and hidden away in lanes. Badmanner Thymes has been around for a while and it was about time I gave it a go. I was first intrigued by the kimchi burger but for breakfast this time I went for the classic eggs benny but with crispy bacon (I usually go for smoked salmon but when bacon cravings call, I mustn't ignore!)
Agatha Lee
They have Cronuts and coffee is great and staff are really nice too. Have yet to sit in and try the food, by a great place to drop by when you need a quick fix!

Went here today on a friend's recommendation for brunch. Even though the price is alright, the food was okay-ish. The best food out of all the four we took was the burger. The patty was huge and juicy and there was an egg in between. The omelette (which i had) was normal. It had a good portion of mushroom and spinach and the buttered toast went well with it. The staff at this cafe was not friendly at all. Except for the girl no one cracked a smile and they never came to us with the menu.

This café is just what Parramatta needed. So cute. So trendy and serves great food. The service can only be described as "entertaining" as they have one particular female staff member (cant remember her name - sorry) that just makes the whole food experience "entertaining" with her bubbly and outgoing personality. The food is different to the countless mainstream cafes Parramatta has so its definitely worth a visit. Love this place and has become a regular coffee and breaky spot for me and my friends.
Gabbys79
Loved it!! Came for breakfast on a Sunday and it was amazing. Hubby got super breakfast which was huge with everything on it. The sourdough bread was delicious and the coffee soooo good. Two breakfasts and 3 coffees came to $32! Couldn't believe it - such good value and delicious made with love. Way better service than paper plane too.

This place is always consistent in food since day one. Scott the bossman is always kind and friendly and you will most certainly get attentive customer service. Signature dish is the kim chi burger.. But please get a Tim tam milkshake - it's amazing !
Kis The Cook
Great spot in Parra. Ample seating both inside and outside. They have the famous Kimchi burger which is not for anyone with a small appetite. Generous servings to say the least. The French toast is decadent and their green juice so refreshing.
Amanda
Will definitely be returning! Ordered the Black Forest with a green tea latte. The dish could of done with a bit of seasoning and the latte with abit more heat but other than that, it was great. Not overpriced like other cafes and the place itself is great place to bring friends and family for a Sunday brunch.

Ever since we had our first dose of cronuts, we have been eager for another hit. Rather than heading up to Newtown, I've heard that there is a fairly new cafe in Parramatta  dishing out Brewtown Newtown's famous Brewnuts. (say that phrase fast 5 times =P) The small cafe is located on the same road as Paper Planes Cafe and some seating inside and outside. I approached their mouthwatering pastry and sweets cabinet and saw that they were offering Brewtown's original cinnamon, chocolate and jam brewnuts. We couldn't resist the chocolate Brewnut with biscuit crumble on top. The Brewnut was a bit of a let down in comparison to first cronut  we tried from The Grumpy Barista. It was a tad unappealing when see the a decent amount of oil seeping from the pastry as we cut into it however the pastry was still quite fluffy and moist. We noticed some other unique eats on their menu such as The Bulgogi . Unfortunately, the waitress informed us that were sold out of their rolls and alternatively substituted the roll for a Turkish Bread. The sandiwch tasted fresh but we couldn't help wondering if it would've tasted better in the roll. cabinet of sweet treats  Badmanner Thymes Espresso Address:1 Horwood Place  Parramatta, NSW 2150 Phone: 0406 860 288 Opening times: Mon - Fri: 6:30am-4:00pm, Sat:9:00am-4:00pm, Sun: CLOSED Website:  https://www.facebook.com/BadmannerParramatta

Thumbs up!. Awesome place, great atmosphere and friendly staff!<br/>The food is delicious and you really get great value for your money.<br/>It's on the quieter part of parramatta, and is a really nice place to relax and catch up with friends over coffee. Has a really nice homey feel and has a good variety of foods catering for those who have special food requirements such as vegetarian and vegan.<br/>Highly recommend this place :)

Chicken Supreme (Brioche Bun. Maybe the best chicken burger I've ever had<br/><br/><br/>-----16 Mar, 2015-----<br/><br/>CRONUTS! Now that I have yo.... CRONUTS!<br/>Now that I have your attention, I want to talk about how amazing this cafe is.<br/>After going there for lunch on Saturday, I have been trying to work my next legitimate excuse to go back.<br/>The menu was so varied and incredible. I had the chicken burger and it may have been one of the best I've ever eaten. The coffee was delicious and the atmosphere relaxing and welcoming. And the CRONUTS are no joke- these are Brewtown Newtown Cronuts and now I know I can get them so close to home I am genuinely worried for my health.<br/>But despite all this amazingness, my favourite thing about Badmanner Thyme was the service. My friends and I were served by Cassie, who is the best waitress I have ever met. From the moment I sat down, she was personable, hilarious and professional. She took the order of 7 people at our table without a pen or paper, including alterations, like it was nothing. She presented the specials menu with a pride and excitement you can tell is genuine- this chick loves her job and it makes all the difference. And the chit chat!! She came back multiple times to chat to our group, making us feel even more at home. I want Badmanner Thymes to become my friends local hang out, where we will discuss our lives and shenanigans, just like the gang from Friends do in Central Perk. Except Cassie is no Gunther hanging awkwardly in the background- she will be right there on the couch with us.<br/>Do yourself a favor and go to Badmanner Thyme. You won't regret it!

FINALLY… CRONUTS IN PARRAMATTA!!! – Badmanner Thymes offers a unique breakfast / brunch menu which is different from other cafes with a Korean flare. It’s located just off George St, Parramatta on the opposite side of Paper Planes cafe which is convenient if you cant be bothered waiting and want something quicker, satisfying and relaxing without feeling rushed. Also, if you love cronuts and live in the west, no point traveling out to newtown when you can get them here Kimchi burger – served with sweet potato chips, pulled pork, cabbage slaw on a golden brown brioche bun Bulgogi roll - thin slithers of generous marinated beef in a wholemeal roll, wasabi aoili served with sweet potato chips and picked white radish Cronuts – I am a huge fan of jam cronuts,

My first brunch out in Sydney and last before I headed on my overseas trip, but now I am finally back to review more restaurants for you all, and hopefully some Christmas recipes will be coming your way also. My Vietnam/Singapore posts will be up within this month, but firstly let's review Badmanner Thymes :) I remember when this little café first opened up in my hometown, and essentially it was just a cake and coffee store, but it is great to see it blossom into a contestable café, with a tasty and growing menu, and a wide variety of drinks!

Badmanner Thymes Cafe whilst not being really big inside has such a home cosy feeling with the cafe being quite compact. There's outside seating too so fear not ! I think I'm just in love with anything that has plants and chalk boards, because I just want to take the front entrance home. Because it's only been opening up on Saturdays recently, I hadn't had the chance to pop by. B and I start off with a latte which turns out to be a little weaker than he's used to, but making it really easy for me, for a non coffee dri
A Foodie's Joy
Parramatta is certainly upping the cafe scene with new cafes opening up thick and fast. One of which is Badmanner Thymes Espresso. I know not why it has an unusual name but I have made a note to ask the owners one day! Badmanner recently started opening on Saturdays. Thank goodness or I would not have had a chance to check it out! It is a rather small cafe space wise but they managed to add a lot of personality to the decor. A sofa resides against one wall, with a guitar to the side and some Art Deco posters add to the feeling of hipster. On our almost noon visit, we ordered a combination of breakfast and lunch dishes. Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon, Spinach, topped with home made hollandaise sauce on sourdough bread. The dish looked 'eggsmazing'!! Sorry, I had to make that one up! I had a bite to try and there was a nice combination of flavours. Beef Bulgogi roll with marinated thin slices of oyster blade beef, pickled white radish, Spanish onions, sweet potato chips and spinach wit

Badmanner Thymes is a great new weekend addition to Parramatta's weekend eating options. The cafe is cute, has great coffee, a good menu and some really friendly staff. At the moment they are just opening Saturdays (til about 4pm) but hope to open up on Sundays in October(ish).

Cafe win!. Badmanner Thymes - one word. Four syllables. IN-CRED-I-BLE! This is, in all honesty, the best cafe/breakfast/brunch/lunch spot I have ever been to! <br/><br/>Tucked along a quiet street in Parramatta, we booked a table for 7 people for lunch and were served quickly by Cassie, the greatest waitress/breakfast and lunch menu speil-er/order rememberer of all time! (She was wearing a Tim Michin t-shirt. 'Nuff said.) The interior was awesome - wooden tables and chairs, Alice in wonderland pillows, flowers and tea pots along the walls, and a huge mirror to check ourselves out in. Excellent. <br/><br/>The menu was epic - lots of breakfast and lunch options, but the real treat was the specials list - too many delicious options! Omelettes! Thai beef salad! Muesli! Breakfast wraps with chorizo (the real winners get extra cheese!) Snapper! Cronuts! Cronuts with poached eggs! Haloumi stack! Too many amazing options! After our coffee order (cappuccino, latte, espressos, orange juices were downed and enjoyed by all) we ordered our mains - chicken supreme burger (one with a brioche bun and one with gluten free bread), kimchi burger, grilled salmon with roast pumpkin, salad and mango salsa, and a fig and prosciutto salad - oh mother of all that is good and holy. <br/><br/>The food was innnnnnnncredible! We all absolutely devoured our delicious delicious food. The burgers were HUGE! With the egg yolk drippy, fried onion crispy and the chicken juicy and so succulent! The kimchi burger was an awesome and spicy with crunchy cabbage, crispy sweet potato crisps and sweet sesame dressing. The salmon dish was the perfect fusion of flavours - the flaky melty salmon, the hearty soft roast pumpkin and the fresh burst of summer with the mango salsa. The fig and prosciutto salad was divine - the figs were pink and juicy, the prosciutto salty and streaky, with crunchy almond slivers and fresh radicchio and red onion. Completely amazing and yum yum yummy! <br/><br/>After we had stuffed ourselves, the lovely Cassie came to tell us the cronut flavours - lemon curd, gingerbread, cinnamon, maple glazed, and salted caramel and macadamia. After we wiped off our drool, we decided to take away some cronuts, but not before Cassie gave one of the members of our lunch party (who was going overseas the day after!) a complimentary cronut and wished her a safe trip! So sweet!! We left there happy, full, and already planning the next time we could return to try everything else in the menu! <br/><br/>Just want to give a massive shout out to Cassie, the best waitress I've ever had, who was honestly like a friend towards the end! She was warm, helpful, funny, super informative, had great ideas about new table number presentations, understands the appeal of online shopping (even if it was for salt and pepper shakers!), a fabulous photographer, and had a great taste in musicians - thank you for making my friends and I feel so welcome! We honestly cannot wait to come back see you again, and have more delicious food!

Awesome cafe. I went to Parramatta for brunch today and stumbled upon this quaint cafe. The food was amazing! The servings are very generous and the price is perfect. The staff was very polite and I met the owner who is a lovely man.<br/><br/>Can't wait to come back during this week to grab some cronuts and try the cruffins (crossiant + muffins stuffed with nutella!)
