Review Volcanos Steakhouse Parramatta - Parramatta

Our first time visiting and we were blown away! We tried the Eruption Burger, Beef & Lamb Ribs, New Yorker Steak, Mozzarella Garlic Bread and Buffalo Chicken Wings. All of the meat was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender, and the chips and garlic bread were crispy and well seasoned. The team was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

I love the decor, nice ambience, mixed clientele, really nice food, we had the T-bone, the Scotch fillet and the Signature dish ( Rib Eye steak++) plus sweet potato fries. I had my fill and took away with me. The salad was crisp and the sauces just right! The pinocolata was just right and looked fabulous with the dry ice!

1st class dining experience. Amazing food and delicious. Hard to walk-in, reservations recommended if you are keen to get in. Servers and the Management was really help full. I ordered the Creamy Chicken with Mushroom Sauce and Fresh Strawberry Lemonade. Best part is everything on the MENU is 100% Halal. I’m here for work in NSW from VIC, I will be back again at VOLCANOS next week.

Great quality steak! I had the New Yorker 300g steak with chips and salad. Ordered medium cooks and it was cooked perfectly. Also had a strawberry milkshake which was extra tasty with loads of whipped cream on top. Yum. They have a $15 300g rump lunch special but only available Monday to Friday

I was really excited for Volcanos after seeing what kind of cuts of meat they had on offer but unfortunately I don’t think the chef on the night is an expert on steaks. I had the Wagyu New Yorker and it was OK. There was parts of the fat where it felt raw and I couldn’t even cut through it. A cut like this it should be one of the best parts to eat. The prawn appetizer was unreal - highly recommend it! Everyone else enjoyed their meals, especially the pastas. The young girl serving us was really good. So the only reason for the score is the disappointment in the steak. I’ve had many better and for much cheaper.

Lovely staff and food. Our waitress was very accomodating, food was very well cooked. Butter on the steak is very tasty and the chips are nice and crunchy. We also got the black knight mocktail, very refreshing. All dishes were beautifully presented, with the effext of liquid nitrogen. We had the chocolate lava cake. Tasted as if it was made on the spot, very satisfying to end the dinner off with that dessert.

my first time to try this place. i love the presentation of their mocktail. very dramatic - with liquid nitrogen. had the spicy prawn with garlic bread.. beef ribs, mashed potatoes and some chips on the side for main dish. i find the beef ribs dry, could have done better. otherwise, everything is great. serving size is good which I like.

We wanted to try something different to the gourmet meals around Parramatta so we came to Volcano's. I would give this place an average score as some of the food was tasty. The salt and pepper calamari was cooked nicely however lacked salt or pepper. The chicken Sous Vide was tasty and full of flavour. The chicken and mushroom risotto was slightly overcooked.

We had to wait to be seated, but didn't have to wait for long. The staff were quite interactive and kept checking on us. The food was good, we ordered Steak and Barramundi. I liked the non alcoholic cocktails, especially the Blue Lagoon 😊 Overall, a good experience and nice ambience.

Ordered the:OP Rib Eye 650g (Mash/Salad) Medium RareScotch Fillet 350g (Salad/Veggies) MediumBeef & Lamb Ribs (Fries) The Scotch Fillet and beef ribs were very nice, but one of the beef ribs was purely fat (it matters as there weren’t many beef ribs). It was a shame that the OP Rib Eye wasn’t a good piece (and it was quite expensive), very tough and unevenly cooked. Similarly, the lamb rack was quite tough and the fries were very salty. The star of the meal was by far the Mash, very well made and quite creamy.Overall pretty average steakhouse experience. I’d opt for the smaller sized steaks and definitely get the Mash.

Service was good, didn’t wait too long. Chicken was decent but not really worth the price it’s pretty much rashays but boujee. Drinks were good and looked amazing. It’s a decent place but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, but maybe the meat options are what makes the place worthy

Me and my partner are here and we will not be returning ever. It is over priced and we had a few issues with our food. I order a rump steak medium rare and my partner ordered a rump steak medium. When we got the steaks, my partners steak was rare and burnt. Plus it has some weird orange thing on it that was pointless. we spoke to the waitress and they replaced it with a steak that was then rare and still cold in the middle.

Not the peace and love I was looking for during Ramadan the lady in charge was very rude while having tables empty she refused to give a table and asked me to wait very disappointed and will never go back

It was the first time coming to this restaurant, the waiter greeted and showed us to our table. Once we decided our orders, we notified the staff to get our orders in. Meanwhile, almost 2 hours later have passed and still no sign of my food. My thoughts ran through my mind; as we were starting to get worried. Did they have trouble with me and my husband's order or did they just forget about us? Because I could see other people after us has gotten their order before we did. Honestly, this point in time I was so hungry I could eat anything but with so many worries and no food had came, we were already thinking of cancelling it and walking out the door. FINALLY!! My dreams have been answered. I was so eager to get those ribs in my mouth cutting them with ease on such a sharp knife was so perfect until I took the first bit and then... It's dry! Dry like the Sahara desert! It may look freakin juicy on the photos but in my experience it's almost like licking sand at the beach. It's click-bait I tell you! Honestly I ain't coming back, sorry but your food ain't that great.

Good service with friendly staff, short wait times whilst providing good food. Good atmosphere with comfortable seating. Food is priced reasonably.
Food: 8/10
Service: 7/10
Comfortabilty: 9/10
Value for money: 8/10

A nice place to relax and get chilled with wide varities of mocktails. A perfect venue for Friday evening to be with your partner. We have been to Volcano for couple of times but it never disappoints us.

I had lunch here with a couple of friends. We ordered the lunch specials, 1 steakhouse sandwich, a loaded chicken schnitzel and a regular one. The serving sizes are massive and the food is very tasty. There was a lot of rush since it was lunch time so the order arrived a little slowly but the staff were very polite and attentive so no complaints.

One of the best places in Sydney to go when you need that steak hit.

not for people on a tight budget, but the portions are generous, expect to wait a bit for your food, quality does take time.

Having the steak knives on the table makes a massive difference. :)

What originally drew me into this restaurant was the vast variety on the menu which seemed very appetising, therefore leading me to book my mum's birthday dinner here. To my surprise, it was very disappointing. The waitress I had was so rude when my family were trying to order and the wait for food was over 45 mins. I couldn't believe the way this waitress rolled her eyes at my partner while he was ordering. The food wasn't even that great. I had the chicken skewer and it was very dry. I will not be returning that's for sure.

Some solid meaty food that's a little on the pricier side but the serving sizes mostly make up for it (except the haloumi share plate). Tried the BBQ beef pulled pizza and cheesy garlic bread and both were fairly worth the price we paid (especially the garlic bread) and had good flavour too.

I (and I can't stress this enough) love cheese but the cheesy garlic bread was a bit overboard and felt like a gym workout for my mouth to chew through. A bit more flavour from the herbs or anything would've been wonderful. If you do order it, I'd recommend getting it with a side (like chicken wings) so you can fuse the two for a fairly good meal.

The pizza was also delicious and exactly what you want in a bbq pizza and I'd love to come back here to try out more of their range!

One of the top choices of eat out in sydney.. Great menu and commendable taste. Staff is always friendly
Recently ordered Texas Beef burger with turkey, Chicken steak polo de gambari, kids alfredo pasta, and finally , brownie dessert to finish off the good-food night. Everything was up to the mark. Definitely visiting again and recommending to friends

First and Last time I come here. If you want to be waiting 20 minutes for a main after your partner gets theirs then by all means come and dine here. We came on Saturday night for a meal, we received our entrees, then my partner received his main and 20 mins later I received mine which was a pasta. No apology nothing.

Dropped in here for lunch with a couple of friends visiting from interstate. The servings are very generous. I had the burger, which was delicious and came with a very healthy serving of chips. Struggled to finish the lot. Male friend had a steak, and couldn’t finish all his chips. Female friend had a pasta, which she very much enjoyed. Service was good and quick. Reasonable prices. Worth checking out.

It’s a popular halal steakhouse house with a really good reputation, they have been around for a long time and they are killing it for obvious reasons. They are well known for there steaks and they do it quite well, but I am not gonna talk much about that in this post. As I am not a big steak person myself and considering how much I am into steaks, I would be the last person to recommend anything in that range.
This place has much more to offer especially in the range of pizzas, pastas, and mocktails. Since I have been to this place a few times now, I had the pleasure of munching on most of there recipes.
Nachos fantasia for starters is the place to start it comes with nachos topped with Mexican mix , sour cream and tomato salsa.
In the range of pizzas I would suggest the peri peri pizza that’s just lip smacking delicious, with a thin base and filling ingredients cooked just right close to perfecto. The pastas I have had a few the only one I liked was the molten lava which I would say was quite mediocre though. They don’t sell any alcohol in house and the best part is they have great range of mocktails to complement your food. I am a virgin mojito fan so I liked it the most, however there are plenty of options to explore.
Overall the food is of great quality and finely made and presented, in a well maintained warm ambience. Service is also very good with an attentive staff and reasonable turnaround time.
Overall, the experience was lovely for my friend and I.
The seafood pasta was at an amazing price to share between 2 people.
A huge let down was the service from the waitress which took our order. My friend and I did not feel welcomed as she took us to our tables or noted the order for our food.
On that note, the waitress mistook our order and missed out on the mozerella sticks which we were expecting for our appetisers. When called to address the issue, the waitress rudely implied that we did not mention the appetiser in our order.

Booked a table for 9 via the Volcano's website 2 weeks ahead of time for me and my boyfriend's birthday. However when I arrived at the restaurant, the manager told me that he didn't have any record of my booking. He had no idea what went wrong, but he suggested that it may possibly have been because I didn't answer his call when he tried to call me to confirm my reservation and get a deposit for the table one day earlier.

It's true that I had one miss call from an unknown number (which I can't even guarantee if it was really the restaurant or not), but no text nor voice message was left regardless, leaving me with zero warning that my reservation would be voided.

As there were no spare tables, we were left stranded to find another nearby restaurant that could seat 9 people on a Saturday night without a reservation. Treatment from this restaurant was totally unacceptable- you can't just call people once and expect them to answer and pay a deposit, and all without leaving a message to call you back if they miss your call!

Will never try to go again and will tell everyone I know not to as well.
Riley
The environment and the food was great. However there was this one guy who bossed others to come to our table to take our order when clearly we’re still browsing through the menu.

Went during rush time but manager was kind enough to seat 2. We ordered the half rack ribs and the servings were massive and I ate off the bone!

Came here for a big family lunch. Beef ribs were tasty but a bit on the dry side. Tried some grilled chicken dishes which were delicious. Seafood risotto was also a pleaser. Kids loved having the soft drink towers. Only negative- We were running 15 mins late because didn’t expect parking to be so terrible in the area.

Volcanoes is my old favourite. I have been to this place countless times and it hardly disappoints. The service is super friendly even if it’s packed. The food varies from good to great. The 4 is for my last outing where ribs were a bit dry. But the buffalo wings and everything else was on point 👌and it’s a rare halal place in Parra with no alcohol. So go try if you fit and don’t fit the criteria.
Dave Reviews
I was a little disappointed with this restaurant. The night started off really well with the chicken wings - they were saucy and finger licking good. However the beef rack of ribs was a huge let down. No one at the table could finish their ribs. It was dry and bland, and lacked the level of sauciness of the chicken wings. The chips were mediocre - nothing worth commenting about. Note that they do not currently have an license to serve alcohol either.

The service was terrible. We had to wait over an hour for our food. It wasn't even peak time. We went on a Tuesday night.

They made mistakes with our orders. The food itself was underwhelming. The steak wasn't seasoned well. The salad and veges also weren't seasoned well.
The Eater
Loved the drinks! It was so cool and actually really nice. The food however was pretty average ain’t gonna lie. Saw pics on Instagram and hyped myself up. The girl who took our order and brought our food and clean up was absolutely amazing. Now that is customer service! The hostess however gave off rude vibes.

Steak tastes a bit sour. Waitress does not care hygiene. 300gm steak is smaller than new born fist.
I even saw a cook taken a busket of tomatoes from the fridge, which is exactly oppsite the toilet, with no cover on top! medium steak turns out to be medium well. worst steak house experience.

We went to the restaurant at a Saturday evening. The restaurant was quite busy and we had to wait a few minutes to get a table. The vibe is nice and inviting (it doesn't smell that great though) So me and husband we both ordered different steak and the lychee and passion fruit cocktail . It comes with a side salad and friesor u could something else. The salad was fresh with a nice dressing and the fries were crisp . The steak were delicious. We would definitely like a little more flavour and for it to be juicy. Everything is halal so would definitely be coming back for some ribs and burgers.

Somewhat reminiscent of a Black Stump (which I last frequented some time in the 80s), Volcano Steakhouse is one of those restaurants that cater well to families and groups with their menu of burgers, grills, pasta, pizza and salads, with specials like their Sunday "kids eat free"* meal deal and novel concepts like their soft drink towers ($38 for 4 litres of beverage served in a tall, clear cylindrical vessel).

The food is okay and serving sizes are generous. The chicken avocado felt like something straight out of the 80s and the schnitzel whopper was just that!

*one free child meal with each paying adult.
Jocelyn
The drink is non alcoholic and taste like cola.
The steak was good but a bit expensive. The blue cheese sauce was unique and quite good. Small portion just barely filled myself.
The Miniature Life
We came here for a mid-week dinner after work, and I have to say I was so impressed! The menu has plenty of options for so much different tastes. Service here was very friendly, and overall nice and quick. We chose the pollo de gambari (chicken with prawns) and a steak with a creamy mushroom sauce. We also ordered a strawberry mojito (non-alcoholic). The prices seem steep, but the serving sizes here are really very substantial - we struggled to finish up our plates! The chicken was beautiful and tender, and the sauce was delicious. The prawns too were tender and matched wonderfully with the chicken. The steak was cooked to our taste, and we loved the mushroom sauce too. The restaurant itself is really warm and inviting and definitely a place to bring the family to.

Add Photos

I went there with my partner on a Saturday night with no booking. Don't do that! This place is packed, and we had to wait more than 30 mins for a table.

The place is beautifully located in the busy Church Street of Paramatta, and they have some tables outside if that's your thing.

The menu was very impressive with a great variety of food (appetizers, pizza, ribs, burgers, chicken, salads, steaks, desserts).. And the place also has a big selection of cocktails, none of them alcoholic. This is something I also enjoyed as no alcohol makes this restaurant very family oriented even on Saturday night. But of course, if you're looking for beer with your wings, you need to look further.

We ordered wings, mozarella sticks and the swiss mushroom burger. The portions were well above average and the burgers come with chips. The wings were amazing, reminded me of the ones we get from Hard Rock Cafe and famous American restaurants. The mozarella sticks were okay, cripsy and nice on the outside but I did not enjoy the cheese much as I felt it was dry. The burger was good, with a bit of a special taste. But there are way better burgers out there to be honest. The chips were okay, but did not like that they are too thick and not very crispy from the outside.

One thing to call out is that service was very impressive in some aspects. While the burger took a while to arrive, waiters were very attentive despite the restaurant being full! The waiter remembered that I was sharing with my wife, and got us separate plates with a lot of kitchen towels (As wings can be wiite messy)... And then they had them replaced before the burger came out. This was all done without us even having to ask, which is something we greatly valued.

Price was very reasonable as well.

Overall, we liked Volcano's and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

Great restaurant. Family friendly ( we went on a Sunday and to our surprise it was ‘kids eat free’)
Beef ribs -great but needed more seasoning
Bone ribeye- perfect compared to last time ( it was pretty bad )
Creamy mushroom chicken- 8/10
Chicken Parma - perfect
Pasta boscaiola - a little watered down and not as creamy. But otherwise delicious !

Great family restaurant !
✔️ Decided to try Volcano’s Steakhouse on Church Street for a cute parents/daughter date and was very pleasantly surprised!! We didn’t have a booking but were able to get a nice seat outside as it was 9pm and almost empty. We were warmly welcomed by a very nice waitress who took care of us for the evening. I ordered the beef burger (no cheese) and my mum ordered a cheese pizza (add onions) and a Greek salad. My dad was instantly super excited when he saw their Tuesday special: all you can eat wings + ribs so he ordered that. We were all so pleased with our meals!! My mum enjoyed her pizza, the salad was average, and my dad’s special of wings, ribs and chips was delicious, he managed to get through 2 plates. My burger was surprisingly well above average - easily one of the best if not the best burger I’ve had!! I find, any place that sells burgers on their menu but not as their main focus, their burgers are just average. But this was something else. The beef was so juicy and flavoursome, cooked medium just how I like it, very generous with the sauces (which made the burger even more yum) and the chips were to die for. Overall really impressed with this place, the food was near perfect, will probably return.

❌ A couple of negatives.. see that tiny plate of Greek salad?? That was $17. More than my burger which was so reasonable at $15. The service was a bit slow and all over the place - especially for a late Tuesday night at 9/10 pm with only a couple other tables. We waited up to an hour for our food which was frustrating since we were obviously starving as we were still waiting for our food at 10 o’clock. But I have to say, the food was well worth the wait!!

Food: 4.5/5
Presentation: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Location: 4/5

I've been to Volcano's Steakhouse twice so far, but the food and service have definitely wowed me completely. The restaurant has a very nice variety of steaks + Menu options - I've ordered a Lunch Special steak for just $15 with chips & salad and was blown away by the quality for such low pricing. The second time I dropped by I ordered the Southwest Chicken Burger which was SOOOO YUMMY! Must-try if you're a burger lover. Love that the meat is Halal as well!
The Hippy Foodie
Beautiful lamb ribs & well cooked steaks. The mozarella sticks are delicious. Staff are very friendly and are quick to recognise you if you've eaten here before.

Visited Volcano's Steakhouse for Sunday's family lunch. They have wide range of menus. We decided to order the full rack grain fed short beef ribs and signature dish. Portions are generous! The 'Signature Dish' is delicious. The eye fillet steak is cooked perfectly as ordered. Every single element worked perfectly with the steak and I really love the special mustard sauce!
As for the ribs, the meat is succulent, juicy, flavourful and falls off the bone perfectly. Again, love the sauce!

Went there for my birthday dinner. Service was great, quite busy and loud. Mild confusion about how long we could dine for and parking was difficult to find

Went there during lunch time and ordered the Wagyu lunch special.
Lets start with the place. Its huge, its comfy, its good.
The staff was AMAZING! The guy that greeted and served me had a weird and nice hardcore voice... remarkable.
Speed was fine. They do give a nice complementary cold water glass with lemon and ice.
The meal consists of the meat (duh!), some chips and a salad. Chips and salad, amazing.
The steak itself, hard to tell... it is as if they have a 'lower-quality' meat for their 'lunch special'. Its just okay. Not the usual meat you'd expect from Volcano when ordering something from the menu. But for 15$, its hard to complain really.

Food: 6.5/10
Hygiene: 9/10
Staff: 9/10
Value: 8/10

Cane here for my birthday with my kids and have to say it was a disappointment. The place itself is rather strange with TVs all along the walls making it look like a sports bar. The kids enjoyed the novelty of the soft drink tower. Our eggplant entree was good but very oily. The garlic bread ok. My wife had the house speciality dish and said it was ok. Where things went wrong was with my steak and ribs. The ribs were ok but the wagu steak was as dry as an old boot. I sent it back and the waiter advised me to order medium rare as it would "come out the same again" even though I'd ordered medium before. Of course the steak came out blue this time by which I was no longer hungry and gave up. They did give us a complimentary dessert which was appreciated but really I wouldn't ever go back. If a steakhouse can't cook a steak at two attempts then it's a bit of a worry.

Dinner here for a friends' birthday and a perfect place for it. Buzzy, busy with lots of different food on the menu to suit everyone's taste. Ribs, steaks or tasty salads and pizzas. The fried cheese was a great starter & the milkshakes are pretty good. Ribs were super saucy & portions are generous. A good place for dinner with friends, family or for a celebration.

Had mothers day dinner here. Portions were suitable for the price and overall the food was good. Waitstaff were friendly, although more training on how to serve customers and set a table is needed.
Soniianwar.7
As we were sat on the table, the staff did not greet us, in fact they were very rude, unorganised and we had to wait a while to be served. We also weren't asked for any drinks or starters when we sat down, customer. Asked for medium well and got burnt meat. Staff constantly were asking if we were finished with everything as if they wanted us out a half plate of food doesn't mean we are finished. Overall a very basic dinning experience, if you want a place that will give you low service and okay food, check it out.
Debbie
Service was friendly and proactive but can't say much was good about the food. Extremely average. Garlic bread mediocre; lamb cutlets over cooked; chips ok; wagyu rump had no marble as indicated in menu; buffalo wings were more like bbq sauce wings; kids menu creamy mushroom pasta was bland; salads again mediocre and on the heavy side.

Went for dinner. Had the combination entree and a scotch fillet, medium rare with lava sauce.

Can't fault the service, they were attentive and polite. Even though they were quite busy on a saturday night, they stopped to acknowledge you, and never forgot to get back to us.

The entree was nice, buffalo wings > bruschetta > salt and pepper squid. The corn thing with the salt and pepper squid was a bit odd, but not offensive. Bruschetta was good, managed to get a good amount of olive oil and vinegar, heaped with tomatoes and still managed to be crispy. The buffalo wings were quite good, the sauce was great, chicken was moist, it could stand to be a little spicy, but it was still very good.

The steak was unfortunately lackluster. The lava sauce was similar in taste to the buffalo wing sauce. The waiter mentioned that it was a little spicy when we were ordering, but it didn't taste spicy at all so don't be worried if you're not good with spicy foods, it had a very nice zing though.

I had the most sinewy scotch fillet I ever had in my entire life, which made it quite difficult to eat. One end was medium rare, the other was rare. For the cut, the meat wasn't very tender, it was actually quite chewy due to the sinew. This was disappointing, as I expect the steak to be the star of the show at a steakhouse.

Mash and vegies weren't anything really special. The corn was sweet.

As for drinks. We found it a bit odd that there was no alcohol in a steakhouse, but they have a nice selection of mocktails, so we got one each. I had the pink panther, which came with a tiny umbrella. The drink was a 7/10. The amount of strawberries muddled in the drink was perfect. I'm fine with the alcohol not being there, but it needed another flavour. They pour dry ice (i think) in your drink before they serve it as showmanship, it was nice but it didn't seem like it was always done consistently.
Yulithefoodie
The seafood pasta is great! The calamari is good... Other than that I am not too sure what else to recommend! I am sure others can put in their fifty cents on their food... But I remember I was trying to order a pizza and the waitress said it's not available yet... It's dinner menu! Hmm shouldn't you put a sign somewhere stating that pizza is a dinner menu?? Not too impressed I tell ya
Pacc
Ambience and service is ok, although it can get quite noisy, maybe because its a saturday evening. Food was reasonably priced and was happy with the quality of the food. However it did take more than 15 minutes for all the mains to come out.
Nsk
Service was great, the workers are really lovely! However for a steak house in parramatta I found it way too pricey considering the quality of food in my opinion... I would prefer outback or ribs and rumps. Their ribs were below average however the bruschetta and pizza was good.
Taneem Al Minarul Mannan
Amazed by the taste of mixed ribs while amused by the level of quality service. Makes you feel being served by family. There was a billing mistake which I didn't notice but the manager came rushing back to correct it.

We went for dinner to Volcanoes Steakhouse yesterday. The food was fine nothing great but nothing to complain about either. The freshly baked pizzas were nice , the tandoori chicken was good and the dessert was Ok ok.
The 2.5 litre Pepsi jar was quite interesting. The ambience of the place was Ok but the service was good.
I've been here on multiple occasions on different days for dinner and is usually relatively quiet and has friendly staff, on one occasion they did not have very many staff and the food took longer to come, they apologised by giving our group of 4 complimentary soft drinks.

The food has always tasted nice, I've ordered the T-Bone and grilled fish on different occasions. The T-Bone, I asked to cook medium and was a little chewy. The grilled fish melts in your mouth although has subtle flavour that is really nice, could do with a bit more. The portions are very fulfilling which to me is always good.

Went to Volcano's on a date with my boyfriend despite reading mixed reviews and we loved it. Portions were good. We got a pizza and prawn lemon and herb pasta. Both were tasty and filling. Atmosphere was vibrant. Will be back.

My experience at this restaurant has been wonderful every time, and therefore I rate it highly, in contrast to some of the previous reviews. The ambience by the bustling Eat street of Parramatta, the regular quick and friendly service - there's only some times where things can be so good. The food offered doesn't disappoint either, and the Southwest Chicken Burger would be a strong recommendation. Give the Schnitzel Whopper and the Peri Peri Chicken Pizza a try.
Overall, the ratings would be -
Food - 7.5/10
Ambience - 7/10
Service - 7.5/10
Value for money - 7.5/10

Dined here on a Friday night and it does fill up quick, mainly with large groups so it does end up getting pretty noisy. We got a Lindt dark chocolate mocha, chicken polo dish and salmon. The mocha was really watery, might have been some miscommunication with the waiter as we asked for no cream and she replied "no milk?" So we got that replaced and the second one was much better. The chicken dish was tasty, quite simple, nice that there were some prawns added to it. My salmon was a little dry, def needed sauce with it but my sauce lacked a little flavor, tasted too much like cream. Overall not bad, decent.
Not good. At all. We paid $175 for 4 people for sub-par entrees & mains. We ordered the mezze dips, haloumi & garlic prawns for entrees - haloumi was ok, garlic prawns were in a Napoletana that was undercooked, bland & bitter, the mezze dips were worse than the cheap supermarket variety with the baba ganoush mostly just raw minced garlic from a jar. I ordered a rib eye - cooked medium rare - and was asked no less than 6 times how I would like it cooked, if I was sure, did I want it cut in half & cooked, was I sure medium rare & on & on. Then, once the waiter walked away I though maybe it would be easier to change it to a scotch fillet, so within 1 minute of ordering I asked if it would be possible to change to which I was told I couldn't as the chef had already started cooking it. So, they started cooking my medium rare steak before starting, serving, consuming or calling away any entrees?? Very strange. Once we got the barely edible entrees, a server came to the table & asked if we were enjoying everything. I politely said 'not really' to be honest - because she asked for feedback - and instead of asking why she just walked away! That was it, no acknowledgement, no further questions. So strange! A lady at the next table over had a tray of drinks spilled on her & once she jumped up in shock the server jut cleaned the table without even offering an apology. Only non alcoholic beverages are available, so if you'd like a glass of wine with your steak, you'll be disappointed. Overall, it was a well below average, highly overpriced meal accompanied by very odd, very poor service. I definitely would not recommend it, nor would I ever return.

Really bad food (steaks) and so as the customer service. Manager was really rude. Worst dinning experience of my life. Hope I forget it soon!!

Place was mostly empty on a Monday night - that should have been my cue. Went to order a drink - they don't serve alcohol which was a bit weird. Now as a steakhouse I'd presume they would have steak. Alas, they only had one portion of their eye fillet (which I left for my colleague) which meant I had to settle for the rump. Medium rare was more like medium for a chewy bit of meat. Not that great at all...

Terrible service. My friend and I were patient waiting for a table and a small family charge past us and seats themselves at a table. We were pretty offended and when a waiter finally served took us to a table we let her know that man and his family pushed in. Her response "that's the owners brother". So we took our table and waited for over 10 minutes for a menu only to realise the waiter was busy at the "owners brothers" table taking their order. Disgusting service. We walked out. You would think they would look after paying customers and not let them sit ignored without a menu? Nope. They don't care.

Average food and poor customer service!. Started off with a wet seat, which although we were sat down the employee, they left immediately and no one could be found for 5 minutes so we gave up and wiped it with a tissue ourselves. Waited for 10-15 minutes before order was taken although I had my hand up for some time to signal for a waiter. An employee was on the phone and made eye contact with me, but did nothing in response. He disappeared after 5 minutes and then I grabbed the employee outside to finally take my order, which was quite disappointing. Afterwards, it took another 10-15 minutes before our drinks were served to us although they were only soft drinks. When our food finally arrived, the meat rarity was completely off and inconsistent. I had ordered my steak to be done, medium and found it to be medium well until reaching the other side which was medium rare. My partner's stake was requested to be done medium and came out rare completely and the plate had already signs of blood on it. The salad had no dressing and was left with only a slight amount of olive oil on the top making it dry and undesirable. However since we both hunger and could not be bothered to complain about the food we continued. During our meal, a waiter accidentally dropped a tray making a large noise throughout the entire restaurant at which point he made a joke to a nearby table. He retrieved the fallen tray under our table without so much as an apology or any comment to us. Disregarding this incident, as we were nearing the end of a horrible dinner, a waiter finally made contact with us to check on our night. After which she asked my partner if she would like another drink in which my partner declined the waiter and her continued her meal. Immediately afterwards, the waiter took the drink away from my partner's side of the table and walked off with it. We were both dumbfounded as the drink was not empty and she had been saving it up to quench her thirst at the end of the meal. Overall this has been a very shocking and disappointing dinner, I do not think I can recommend this to anyone I know unless I want them to have a horrible dinner outing.

First off, they don't serve alcohol. Ordered medium cooked steak and came well done, small t-bone, without the T, however the molten sauce wasn't bad. The salmon was well overlooked and dry and the mushroom sauce didn't compliment the dish at all. Best part of the New Yorker steak dish was only the mash potato. Starters plates weren't cleared away ready for mains. The server was very quick and too fast paced. He didn't to slow down and relax. The chicken avocado meal was nice. Positive- coke served in a nice big glass and lemon lime bitters serves in cute mason jars.

Good grub. Place is clean and quite nice inside. Ordered swiss mushroom burger and it was amazing. Waiters attentive to customers. Good prices.

No alcohol but that wasnt enough to ruin the experience. 7/10.

Amanda. Ordered the Chicken Avocado and was well pleased with the freshness, portion size and taste. Better value for money than some other restaurants nearby :-)

Happy Customer. The restaurant was busy, great atmosphere, food was served promptly, service was good and the food was great. Excellent portion sizes and my normally fussy child loved the food. We were seated near other family's which was great as the kids entertained each other.

Best in Parramatta!. I don't care what other reviewers say, this place was rocking when I went with my boyfriend!
Best restaurant in Sydney hands down
The gentleman waiter was so friendly and funny and it seemed he was genuinely a happy person.
The other patrons all got the same service.
We went on a fairly quiet night and we were glad we did.
The food was moderately priced as well but I was really happy with it! It was cooked to perfectiona nd the sauce was to die for!
The restuarant looks stunning and the food presentation is als stunnig.
My boyfriend had the pizza and their pizzas are better than any other restaurant I have had so far. Their crist is tin and crunchy and I like that! because it means theres more toppings and less base to chew through!
I am just itching to go back and eat their pizzas again!
Their servings are mammoth sized so one between two is more adequate!

I was searching for a place to have dinner with my husband and we decided to try volano in parramatta.
We ordered a grilled fish which we were told came with wedges and salad
We didnt get wedges we got vegetables instead ..when we asked where the wedges were we were told no wedges only veges..the fish had a frozen uncooked smell and taste to it..
Then we ordered a mixed berry drink which was not available
And i was told to order another drink.
When it came i wasnt happy cause it was 3/4 ice and not much flavour
I certainly will not be going back thetr again and not recommending it to anyone

Awesome! Great service! We .... Awesome! Great service!
We went there in a big group of 8. The waiters were friendly and helpful. We received complimentary pizza and they put lemon in the water (which was refreshing). Wait wasn't long, would definitely go again and recommend it to others. My sister went again after a week. Keep it up!

BAD EXPERIENCE. Been walking past this place for a few months, so thought I'd try it for lunch.

The staff were unfriendly to the point of rudeness. They made us change our order several times, because they were 'out of' key menu items. We had to change both our drinks and mains. They couldn't even get a soft drinks order right.

Next, the meat was of very poor quality and very over-cooked. I ordered 'medium rare' and was served a hockey puck. 300g MSA steak my ass. I wouldn't feed it to my dog.

On mentioning this to the waiter, he simply said "Sorry, mate" and walked away. He then ignored us completely when we tried to call him back over. Both the cooks and the wait staff were clearly incompetent. And I am not used to such rudeness and discourtesy.

AVOID!

Tried it for the first time today n have to say,one of the best food I had. The staff were very friendly n made arrangement since the seemed fully booked. Good location n like the fact that they do not have 10 pages menu to confuse us. Def will go there again.

AVOID A steakhouse that can.... AVOID
A steakhouse that can't cook a steak, I ordered a medium rare steak and asked the waitperson to conform what that meant to her........ "Nice and pink", she replied.
I got BURNT! ...... I called the guy over and showed him the steak. He took one looked and said "oh sorry" and walked away.
If you want a steak you can actually eat...... Go somewhere else.
Not good enough Volcano Parramatta!

Best restaurant loved it. Dined at volcanos parra today and the food was really nice, ordered the op rib steak which was big and my partners pizza was one of the best i tried, we got our food pretty quick. staff were great and very friendly, they were always checking up on us and brought out color in books and pencils to keep the little ones occupied which was really nice. loved t and recommend it to all friends and family must try

Hmmm...... Been here twice,my partner has some fondness of this place, as she liked there Bankstown counterpart.

Tried the lamb ribs which they warn you its fatty and it is!! The portion sizes was bigger than expected, it was throughly stuffed afterwards

There pizza was ok, i didnt find it as anything special. My partner liked it though. Portion sizes seem to be bigger than your average restaurant, though my friends Steak seemed to have a lot of chips on it

Service at times can be overfriendly, as if there aiming to please. Food took a reasonable amount of time to come out

VAlue wise, its a marginally cheaper than expected

I feel you can do worse in the busy Parramatta strip, if my partner wants to come back i wouldnt mind

AVOID IF POSSIBLE. A friend of mine decided that we try this establishment out one day. Seeing as it just opened we the service we experience was quite poor and slow. The staff lacked manners and the service was terrible.

Fast-forward two weeks we decided to go back and have lunch at Valano's once more expecting the quality to have improved and the staff to have been trained appropriately. Apparently not, the food was quite plain and boring with nothing really special on the menu. Half of what was on the menu was not available. And beware should anyone wish to add or remove anything from the menu as this angers staff members and it is quite evident in their tone. It seems as if staff only got worse.

Service was extremely slow (well over 40+ minutes) & even when pre ordered via telephone they managed to completely stuff that up as well. Waitresses were very rude, had no service experience or only served pigs at a farm as their manners could only match that comparison. A simple jug of Coke took 20 minutes to be delivered and when asked why it was taking so long staff members became quite irate.

Will never EVER be eating here again better of saving my hard earned dollars on establishments that are worthwhile.

Seeing as it finally opened up, a few nights ago my friends and I went in to give it ago. Food and drinks were slow to come out (took over 40 minutes or so) even though there was hardly anyone else dining that night, the waiter(s) were inexperienced and had no manners whatsoever. The portions were small for the prices charged. Limited desserts on offer (offered us 2 to choose from but came back saying both had run out). We all left still feeling hungry despite the prices we paid for. Disappointed and never again.
