Just had a Vegetable Noodle Stir-Fry when I came. Ask for no fish sauce, oyster sauce or egg when ordering to make it vegan 🌱
The portion was massive and for a $12 lunch special (incl a side dish and soup - soup isn’t vegan), I definitely got my bang for buck. It tasted like your typical Stir-Fry, not anything special but still delicious! Service was friendly and food came out super quick!
Highly recommend this place. All the food was amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely will return to try more items on the menu.. if only we had more space in our stomach! This place is s must for anyone wanting tasty authentic and well executed food!
Had the dan dan noodles, beef noodles and fried prawns with wasabi sauce for dinner. Servings were huge! Was surprised the dan dan noodle came in a soup version, was expecting the dry one that I'm used to. Prawns were thickly crumbed but good that it was tasty. Staff are not that well versed in English, hubby had to order with his half broken mandarin
Food was amazing, this was closer to a 5 than a 4.5. Wait time was great, so fast for a Friday night dinner. Only fault I could find was that the sweet and sour pork ribs were a little burnt, dumplings were good. The other three dishes were amazing especially the deep fried chicken.
Such good Chinese food at this place. Meals came out relatively quick and service was friendly. Definitely a great place to have lunch with a group of friends and would highly recommend it.
Came here for dinner with a group of 3 on a Thursday night. We made a booking which was good because this place does fill up fast. We ordered the pork and chive dumplings to start with and then had satay chicken, mongolian beef and special fried rice to share. The dumplings were good - the chive was probably a little too overpowering but they still tasted great. The satay sauce was very spicy (I know it can be but this was extra spicy) so for someone who doesn't usually like spice, I wasn't thrilled by this dish. The mongolian beef was my favourite by far. It was tender with a good amount of flavour. The fried rice was quite average. This place is good for a cheap sort of eatery. The food isn't anything exceptional but we only paid $16.75 each!
I came for a Sunday lunch with the family with relatively low expectations since Chefs Gallery was just a couple of meters away. This place really caught me by surprise 😄 There were so many choices on the menu that it took us a while to narrow down our choices. Once the food started coming out, we knew that we were coming back here again. The presentation, the aroma and the tastes didn't disappoint in the least. There was no overly greasy aftertaste in any of the dishes. More than that, there was no accompanying post Chinese food headache that I usually get (even with restaurants that claim no MSG in their food). The best part is the surprise when the bill came out...it was so cheap (in the best way possible!!!). Be ready to come here with loose clothing 😋
Really enjoyed dinner at Taste Gallery. They serve authentic Chinese dishes at affordable prices. I was very impressed by their chilli fish Si Chuan dish - fiery red but absolutely delicious (eat this with steamed white rice to dampen the heat). Taiwanese fried chicken with basil was so good - like KFC popcorn chicken, only 1000x times better with so much more flavour. The jellyfish salad with cucumber is an excellent cold dish to start off your dinner.
I was introduced to Taste Gallery on Church St by a friend in 2014...we were out hunting for food during the lunch hour and stumbled upon it. Since then, I've become a regular here...many a long conversation has occurred at the tables here with close friends
My favourite is the stir fried beans and potato - its mildly sweet and salty. I've eaten lots of dishes with potato, but Taste Gallery gets it right...the potato is crisp and the beans are done to perfection. If I'm looking for something fried, I order the salt and pepper tofu - it's garnished with red chilli
I usually pair my meal with a stir fry rice that has egg, scallions, pickled chilli, and garlic. It's a good complement and adds some heat
I've also tried a cold entree with pulled chicken, onion, chilli, peanuts, and fresh coriander leaves - my taste buds were tingling. The hot pots are good too
The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is warm. Nice to see it doing great business 😄
Go here and get the pan fried pork & chive dumplings - sensational! Casual dining with prompt and friendly service. Lots of different things you can try and always meets our expectations. Plus $5 house wines!
This place is located in the Chinatown end of church st. The shop front is modern and the menu is freaking massive - it's a folder containing at least 10 pages. The food is deliciously fresh here and you will leave content.
The chicken in chilli sauce is the polar opposite, with a strong hit of flavour with every bite from the chilli sauce, which is not actually as hot as it may look.
Great food, fresh, fast, and friendly service; good for when you know what you want; and that's amazing Chinese food.
Good food. Good variety of dishes including vegetarian. Welcoming staff. Food was awesome. Most recommended.
Ordered take out tonight, special spring rolls, San Choy bau, vegetarian fried rice and cucumber with vinaigrette n garlic + prawn chips....we weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised how nice the food was, great portion size, good value n excellent taste. Would go there again for sure n recommend it to friends. Parra's little Chinese gem!
I had dinner with my family last week. We order honey king prawn, spring roll, XO mud crab and Spiced Beef. Food was great! Many other food selection. This restaurant do serve delicious dim sum and value meal deal at lunch time.... recommended for sure. If you visit Parramatta. Must at least try once. Private room also available. I would definitely recommend Taste Gallery Parramatta to all my friend. AAA+
Excellent!. Beautiful new resstaurant. Well presented food, affordable prices. Liked the walnut icecream.
Great Chinese dishes, friendly staff and excellent service. Clean and Covid safe place. 2nd time around, fantastic taste, as best as the first visit.
Had a sumptuous dinner... worth the money with great taste...would love to visit the place again...dim sims were fantastic...
Great combination noodles
This place has a wide variety of dishes, staff is friendly and place is clean&spacious. The eggplant in salted egg yolks was yummy. We dip that in our other dish's sauce as we like it a bit wet. Spicy chicken was a bit oily but chicken was tender and flavourful. Fried intestine on a hot wok (last page of the menu) was good. Overall, we had a good dinner.
Reasonable price and big portion. Typical shanghai food, however the signature dish fried bun doesn't taste as good as used to be, other dishes like fried fish, deep fried eggplant are ok
Picture tells every thing, Cosy place, affordable price, and Friend staff.
