Review Commercial Hotel - Parramatta

We had a birthday party in Function Room last weekend. Awesome spacious room, enough seating and tables + balcony. Great staff, helpful, location was perfect, across the road from train station. Would highly recommend them 🙂🥳

We ordered BBQ chicken and bacon pizza, unfortunately we couldnt find any bacon or bbq sauce on pizza. Fish and chips was great. Drinks not fizzy at all. Atmosphere nice for outside seating.

We absolutely adore the vegan options at this place. Finally a local hotel that will cater for us, as well as our meat-loving family. Thank you for your vegan parma, pizzas, and other items of deliciousness!

Enjoyed the pub good service and polite staff. Had the Friday special Steak chips salad and sauce. Very enjoyable and great price. Would certainly return

Hi to the management of the commercial hotel you should be very proud of 2 of your staff members first staff member I would like to thank is a young lady by the name of Tracey who was working at the front bar my partner has a slight disability who struggles to walk to the bar was told anytime he needed a beer all he had to do was to call out and the beer will get delivered to him that was customer service of the highest level the manager in the pokies area who we didn't get her name walked my partner from machine to machine wow management have done a magnificent job teaching there staff that customer service is the most important thing in running a business we hope to see you all soon

Good pub, plenty of room, big sports & Tab bar. Big restaurant, food was good, had the lunch time steak special with a nice bottle of wine & a couple of beers. All good.

The food I ordered was putrid. I sent it back, and yes I got an apology and a new replacement meal but had to send that back too and got a refund. For $30 for a plate of food, you need to up the standards much higher than you're currently presenting to your patrons. I'm so disappointed and find this is the trend now in most Sydney pubs. Your customers keep you in business , Please remember that and care about the food you serve.

Been here 3 times till now always disappointed from food. First 2 times ordered medium rare serlion and got rare, 3rd time ordered medium burger got well done, when tried to complain they said i was lucky to get food at the time i ordered haha. The lady at the kitchen is as rude as she can be. Asked to order well done when went to compalin about the steak hahaha. So funny but annoying

I am always apprehensive eating out due to food allergies and kids intolerances but the head chef really took special care and catered for our needs. The steak was cooked to perfection and the veggies were also cooked perfectly not over steamed, the mash was creamy and my husband had the goat curry which he said was flavoursome and tender. Well done to the team in the kitchen! We will be back while on holiday.

It was a hot evening, probably first day of summer! I am not a pub person so was wary about the ambience, however it was just right. No loud music blaring away, no shoulder rubbing. The smoking zone was separate from the cool air conditioned lounge where you can dine and wine. <br/>I liked their setup - kitchen in front of the lounge. We ordered beer, and cider and a fancy coconut green cocktails. They were decently priced. I loved the flavour of the cider (raspberry I think), but could pass the cocktail.<br/>We ordered wedges, fish and chips and Margarita pizza for dinner & three dips with bread! The food is good. I enjoyed hoki after a really long time! The pizza was also quite decent, nothing out of the ordinary. <br/>Overall it’s a nice place to unwind after a busy weekend especially if you are not the loud music type!

The food here has significantly improved from last year. <br/>I had my farewell here and most people enjoyed their meal.<br/>A nice little place to have a pub feed and some drinks and also great for socials and drinks as the station is across the road!<br/>Would recommend this place for some simple food with taste. <br/>Prices were fair and service was pretty good.

A great place for a catch up<br/><br/>I caught up from some of my work colleagues and ex-work colleagues here. We started at the beer garden. Though it was raining outside, the beer garden is still covered so you are able to sit outside and enjoy the natural light. As you enter Left hand side of the bar you are able to smoke.<br/><br/>There is a very large TV that you can watch sports on. My colleagues and I had a beer each. The pricing is quite reasonable. There was different groups there from tradies, couples, (adult) families and just mates catching up. The hotel was not very busy. We were there from 12pm - 2pm.<br/><br/>The smoking of other side of the garden was a bit annoying so we moved indoors in the restaurant area. Here they also have a big TV (muted). This spot is more quieter and you are able to have a conversation with your friends or group.<br/><br/>On weekends they have a special where if you buy a beer, you can have either Steak (chips / salad / Veggies) or Chicken Schnitzel for $5.<br/><br/>Overall the atmosphere is what ok and is what you make of it since you are at a pub / beer gaden in Parramatta.<br/><br/>The hotel pub is very conveniently positioned behind the Parramatta Station. If you are driving, you may need to park in the quite streets within proximity of the hotel.<br/><br/>Will definitely return here.

My first trip to Sydney and this is the place that I landed in for my first drink.. Right opposite the station.. Think the place is divided in 3-4 separate sections.<br/>I ended trying a few of their Beers on tap..each of which was good.. Just had some finger food so can't comment much on the food.. The prices are decent.. And for a Saturday night there were enough customers and quick enough service...

The food is "OK", but not great. They recently brought in a new menu that really didn't hit the mark - the old menu was much better. Food service can be slow to very slow, so watch out if you're in a hurry. The tap beer is horrible. It tastes like they don't clean their beer lines regularly or properly enough - and I've tried many of their tap beers to see if it was just one brand - but no, they all taste flat and dirty. I've taken to buying bottled beer instead - at least they taste fresh and clean.

I've had lunch and dinner here for many years. I find it a little pricey for what it is, and the food potions have gotten smaller over time. The beer is OK, can't compare to German beer. Over all, the staff seem disinterested, and when you want a beer, you tend to wait a while at the bar whilst the staff are out the back gas bagging.

I think this place doesnt understand customer is always right , been here for long time this place close at 4 am and last drinks is at 330, which is quite understandable but is there anyone calling last drinks no there is no one well yes they dont have to call last drinks but when you go to bar at 320 no one around and all of sudden manager comes out saying sorry its not my responsibility to call last drinks but you were not here on my watch i closed the bar at 330 maybe your watch is wrong and saying i cant serve you as 2 mins ago no one was here when been told to check camera been refused saying that i am a manager i dnt want to check camera i know you came after 330 on my watch , well its not matter of having a drink or not but its matter that if you dnt keep your own local ppl happy how can you do businnes ..so dissapointed<br/><br/>Security tells me that he finds me on facebook and bans me just as i wrote a review about this, it was a tonga guy told me call the police i dont care as it is my place he even went to manager and said that i banned him withouth even having 1 alcoholic drink as he found out that i wrote a review

Went here last night, got the salt and pepper squid and it wasn't the best. It was well presented but the taste wise ... Meh. Probably won't eat here again

Beer garden is a winner!. Recently visited this venue before a WSW game, and what a great experience!<br/>Food was great, venue was clean, service was top notch, and the beer garden is lovely.<br/>They have lunch specials on during the week, which look like great value.<br/>I'm organising my birthday soon, will definitely be checking this place out, looks like they have great spaces for parties.

Below average. Non existent service, filthy tables, dirty glassware and cutlery and below average food. Disappointing as the pub had potential.
