Not the biggest portions but taste wise they tick the box. I feel they would have scored higher if they got a bigger container and thus were able to serve the same portions as dine in it would be good. Ordered 3 sets of Char Koay Teow for 3 pax but should have made it 4 sets and split 3 ways for maximum craving satisfaction.
Located at the restaurant precinct of Westfield Parramatta, this restaurant serves Malaysian dishes.
The restaurant is spacious and you can choose to dine indoor or outdoor.
During my recent visit I had the nasi lemak with beef rendang, fried chicken and fried chicken skin.
Everything was pretty good. Service was quick and efficient.
Can’t go wrong here. My staples when I come here are the Hainanese chicken rice and barely grass jelly drink, you can’t go wrong!
Great customer service and quick delivery of food. The fried chicken skin is a classic and I love to just nibble on it!! 🤣 I ordered some dry noodles with minced meat and anchovies and had chilli on the side. It reminded me of biang biang noodles - noodles were chewy and slightly thick. It was quite bland even with chilli and soy sauce added but the fried anchovies add saltiness and crunch to it. Tried the coffee Pappa Cham which tasted like milk tea.
PappaRich is legit a staple in my diet now. I’ve been here multiple times now with different groups of friends and they’ve all loved it. Food is delicious, cheap and homely. Even though presentation isn’t anything fancy, the flavours stay with you for a long time, making each dish memorable.

Fast and friendly service...some of the dishes were a bit bland, however, overall this place was worth the visit.
We were in a group and ordered bunch of the noodle options.
Nice Malaysian food with great location and friendly staff.
Love their bread series and dry noddles. Ice Barley tea is my recommendation for drinks
Good food, service and portion sizes. It's always busy but the service is immediate and attentive. The food is great with generous portion sizes; I usually end up parcelling the leftovers to take home. The menu is vast and everyone can find something to eat and prices are reasonable. Everything tastes great, from the mains to the desserts, my personal favourite is the spicy chicken laksa.
There was a line but shortly after queuing, we got a table. There were 3 of us and it was 1pm. We sat outside. We didn't know that we can call for their services thru a button. It was convenient for us. Plus, the waitress was so nice, guiding us thru the menu. The food was amazing. The service was great.
Friendly and polite staff.
The food was great. I love the canai roti here. The curry and sambal is yumm... This is like a plate of wholesome goodness.
The good thing is they have a decent choice for vegetarians. Though the mock meat wasn't great everything else on the plate was good.
The Char Koay Teow was okay. I found the sauce too salty and otherwise basically it didn't do much for me. Overall I have enjoyed my meals here.
Pappa rich is an all time classic favourite! The hai nam chicken is always well done and their curries/ roti is perfect!
Can be a bit expensive for serving size, may need more than one meal if you are hungry
One of our few goto-without-fail restaurants to dine in. Paparich offers exquisite authentic Malaysian cruisine with consistent succulent flavours. Below are the few photos of our different dining occasions. The staff are all generally friendly, store is usually clean and food is delivered to your table very quickly. Would definitely recommend the Roti Canai, Crispy Egg Noodle and Oriental Chicken Chop.
Love papparich! Roti and curry chicken were so quick to come out. Curry chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. Fried chicken was super deep fried and the pepper sauce was a great addition.
Good service on a semi busy night. Food, drinks and dessert were delicious. So pretty much everything. The milk tea, which is not only exclusive to Malaysia, definitely reminds me of home. Beef curry and the chicken curry was delicious! The chicken was not dry at all! Dishes that’s say 2 I had to myself and that was just enough. A must go!
Loved the place.. food.. ambience.. and the staffs as well.. Their tea, coffee and ginger sauce are the must-try specials.. Great place to have a yummy dinner with your family.. ☺️
Yummy authentic malaysian food alongside with some yummy fruity drinks! So many options to pick from and all were very tasty. In a place thats also very convenient
I looooove PappaRich!! I usually always go to the one in Macquarie but there really is not that much of a difference between the one in Parramatta and Macquarie except that the service is a little slower in Parramatta. Other than that, the N15 will always be my go to and never disappoints! Definitely would recommend:)
I honestly came here just for the kaya toast! The kaya, hainan bread and the eggs worked soo well together! The bread was soft and the kaya added a sweetened taste to it! The stir fry noodles were also good, as you can’t go wrong with stir fry’s! And of course the skewers were also very tasty! None of it was spicy, but it did really give off a malaysian cuisine taste. Overall, i really enjoyed the food and would come back!!
The quality in this franchise is great. The food tasted exactly how I craved. The soup had flavours, the chicken was moist and tender, and the drink was really blended.
Came with 4 other friends at 7:30 on a Saturday, though quite busy, they were able to give us a table pretty quickly. I ordered crispy egg noodles for myself, and we also had deep fried chicken skin and coconut jam roti to share.
Once you ordered, the food came very quickly. The chicken skin was crispy, flavourful and the portion was large. Crispy egg noodle was delicious too, I like how the noodle was still aldante soaking in the sauce and there was a lot of veggies, fishcake and chicken in the dish.
Will definitely come back to try out other dishes.
Amazing food and quick service! Would definitely recommend anyone to try out!! The curry and roti was delicious. Chicken was amazing and so tender and juicy. Milk tea with coffee jelly was one of the best milk teas I’ve tasted.
This place is close to the Train and bus station. My friend Sarah and I love eating the dishes here and the staff always friendly. We always forget and are not accustomed to the self-order form. When they tell us to fill it in, we both go 'ohhhh".I always love going here to eat the crispy noodle dish!
Large serving sizes making the the prices worth it. Quick service even though it was a busy restaurant. I had the nasi lamek. The fried rice was done perfectly, the fried egg not so much.
I have been here many times and so far, I cannot find any faults in the quality of their food because it is quite tasty. Price wise is reasonable although some dish can be quite expensive. Their portions are pretty basic, I wouldn't say it's generous but at the same time they're not a tight ass also. With some dish that are expensive, maybe they should be a bit more generous because I don't find it's worth. It's definitely a good restaurant for a Weekend dining with family or friends. It's definitely something I'd go back to.
Food was delicious especially the prawn dumplings yumm! Service was awesome.. every time we pressed the button a waiter would be there in seconds. Only downside was that our order came out in pieces and the main came out before the entree. Otherwise fantastic !!
Papparich is one of our fave restaurant in Parramatta. We went there for lunch, dinner, dessert time or even afternoon tea.
Their Kaya Toast and Steam Bun with Kaya are the BEST in town!!
Clean and comfort!
The waitress are kind and fast response 👍
I've had PappaDo a couple of times, but I have to say that the one at Parra was the best!!
🌸 the drinks are AMAZINNG, I can not begin to describe this, but they are so versatile and complement your meal really well. The menu has "drink" recommendations for different meals, so I definitely think you should try it.
🌸 I normally go around 6pm on weekends, so I suggest going around this time or a bit earlier because there's always a long line when I'm eating or when I'm leaving.
🌸 Normally, at other chains, I always have to wait really long to get my food (40-50 mins no joke) so at parra I got my food in 10-15 mins so that was really good.
Quite nice, good food. Service is a bit slow but it is always very busy. Food is on the slightly pricier side but definitely worth it. Good food, would visit again.
My go to place for Malaysian food. The 'cham' (mix of coffee and tea) is the best! I had the Chicken Laksa which was really good with the yong tau food ingredients. If you go a bit earlier there is no queue!
9/17 - Returned for the dry egg noodles with steamed chicken which was very yummy! Service was so so only though, the staff didn't come near our table after our order even after we pressed the button three times!
They are currently running their weekday winter special, one main and a drink for $15.90. We decided on chicken laksa and white coffee ice and from the a la carte menu, Oriental chicken chop. Their winter special is a good deal with full size main meals. The laksa was very pretty authentic and I love the crispy beancurd sheets in it. The chicken chop was very crispy and moreish and the chicken rice accompanied it perfectly. If only it came with a side of hot soup, it would have been perfect. My drink of choice at papparich is usually Kopi 'o' ice but it wasn't on the lunch special menu so I settled with white coffee which was just as good. Lots of ice this time unlike previous times where their ice drinks were usually warm and the ice melts too quickly.
We were there at about 1.15pm and there were no problems getting a table. Service was very efficient and our meals came up quickly.
Had the chicken laksa which was ok. My favourite part of the restaurant is the extensive drinks menu. The service was average and the food came out fairly quickly. Some items on the menu were a bit expensive
Nearly always perfect. Prepare to wait in busy times. Freshness guaranteed. For a place that will not alter an item as they are super strict about consistency, just wish there was consistency on their side dish portions. Pappa Rich - you really need to let the consumer choose between iced and iced blended - charging extra for no ice is utter bullshit too. Love your food but you really to let the consumer pick their drink preference.
The seafood laksa was delicious. Always love a warm soupy dish on a gloomy day. Definitely comfort food.
I love the roti here dipped into their chilli sauce or even just on its own.
Overall enjoyed the meals her and service was okay.
Why should you go here: Roti dessert! Their rice, noodle or curry dishes are great here too especially if you love chili.
Food quality: Tasty
Portion size: Big
Customer service: Could be warmer and is sometimes slow
Dinning experience: Sit inside if you are dinning with someone - you won't be able to hear anyone outside
Value for money: Decent
Despite the nice food, on two recent occasions we wouldn't get seated if we didn't have our entire party there with us, even though it was late and there were plenty of empty tables.
Nice curry it has lime leaves fragrance, if only i wont having meal after this i would order some rice to accompany my curry. But i dont like the kaya jam. If you are around and wanna have halal food this is the place!
You really can't go wrong with any PappaRich when you are seeking comfort food. We ordered the congee with chicken and curry chicken with dry noodles and both hit the spot. With 2 pages dedicated to drinks, you would imagine they must be good - both the drinks went well with the food and refreshing
Nice flavour. Always a fan of roti
Nasi lamak and laksa are above average
The satay mix is alright but not impressive
The service from Deliveroo is very good

For a franchised Malaysian restaurant it's not that bad. A large variety of dishes to choose from and very authentic flavors! Reasonably priced and more of a eat and go place. No dining atmosphere or customer service, illustrated by the squeeze as many tables as you can next to each other and press the button on your table when you want service.
The food here is generally good. Although, sometimes it doesn't feel fresh at all. This is another place where the food comes at very different times even though it's ordered together. So by the time one person finishes eating the second will only just receive their food. Still love their chicken rice though!
A late dinner on shopping night. The place was still busy despite after 8:30, but we got seated quite quickly. The menu & decor are mostly the same as the other Sydney branches, so I already know what I was going to order, the fish head Noodle soup. The standard here is the same as the other ones, generous in serving of deep fried fish head & fillets, the Soup is a creamy white fish stock with a slight sour tang from the pickled vegetable. The deep fried fish dipped in soy sauce with fresh chilli is just perfect. My friend had the hainan chicken served with congee. The poached chicken was juicy & smooth, the congee was a bit watery, but still tasted ok. Overall a good meal with quick service.
I've always for some reason had bad experiences with papa rich at other chains which drifted me away from the restaurant for a very long time. Today we were just starving and wanted somewhere to sit, relax and feast, I was so tired, the closest place to us was papa rich, my boyfriend suggested it and I was like yeah whatever. Being tired and hungry I didn't really care where we would end up. However the food took me by surprise... I was actually tasty AF! Even my boyfriend was surprised. We ordered 6 different foods to share amongst each other (all vegetarian) yes I know that's a lot of food but we smashed it! It was so delicious and affordable as well. Keep it up papa rich parra, I'll be back 👌🏼
Came here for lunch a couple times. I really like their oriental chicken with coconut rice and satay chicken. They also have some Malaysian style milk tea and coffee.
This restaurant gave me and my family a small taste into malaysian food and culture. The food and drinks was served quickly. The food was lovely and the atmosphere and feeling was overall amazing.
Really loved the place. Yummy food but lill more food preparation time.
Ordered drinks -tropical lime and ice tea.
Chicken n veg dim sum
Roti canai plate
Prawns sambhal
Garlic bread
Good food but I prefer lil spicy wud order lill spicy next time.
Yummilious food liked by me and my hubby.
I love paparich for a quick and filling lunch. Quick service although you line up sometimes its worth it. Quite affordable for a plate of different varieties.
Hi guys,
Been in Parramatta for last 10 days... Have been eating lot of Indian food at Harris Park area, was kinda bored, wanted a change. So I decided to go to PappaRich.
I tried their signature dish - Roti Canai with Chicken curry. Fabulous taste. Roti Canai is kind of Malabar paratha from Kerla, but a slight sweetish taste. Chicken was Very good... Very well
Cooked, perfectly spiced. Dal, or Dhal as they call, was good too. I dint like the sides (some kinda chutney) that was served... But too sweet. Suggestion: if you think you are going to need extra Roti Canai, order in advance... It takes 10 mins to prepare. I had to wait when I ordered second one.
I would give 4.5 on the food taste front.
Then I decided to order a desert... Options looked yummy, my tummy said 'NO' but an urge to have a good deserve over powered.... And I messed t up. I ordered some kind of shake, can't exactly remember what it was, but didn't like the taste much. From the picture, I thought it was a milkshake with an ice-cream, but wasn't so. May be I ordered a wrong one. Almost every one on other tables were having Sinthi g similar and so couldn't resist the temptation of having one: I would suggest - be careful.
Waiting time wasn't bad at all. I got a table in 5 mins and saw most of the larger groups also didn't take too much time to be seated.
In general, my rating goes as follows:
1. Taste - 4.5
2. Ambience - 5
3. Service - 5 - liked the idea is writing your own order on a piece of paper and give it to the waiter.
4. Food portion - 4.5 it was perfect size for individual. So no wastage, no hunger. Roti Canai, I think, they should serve 2 in the beginning, instead of 1. It's too small and insufficient.
Overall - 4.5
Hope I get an opportunity to visit them again in next couple of days before I fly back.
Cheers!!
One of the best malaysian cuisinsed restros in Parramatta. Won't say it's a total value for money.
But definitely worth a try.
Consistent Malaysian food in a convenient place. The dishes were quite good esp the fried rice noodles but the biryani rice was a bit dry and unevenly heated. Overall a great meal to enjoy with others. The lychee soda and Bandung flavoured drink are worth a try.
There are some hit-and-miss dishes here but we have a few tried and true ones we keep coming back for...again and again (lol).
Their curry soup with fish fillet is the dish I get most often. It's a creamy coconuty curry/laksa soup with rice vermicelli noodles, fried tofu, fried eggplant, all the fixins, and piled with fresh fried fish fillets. (It's not as oily as it sounds...)
Also love their roti (it's more buttery and rich than Mamak fyi), kaya toast, chicken laksa, nasi lemak, red chicken, biryani rice. Their curry chicken and beef rendang are a little hit and miss but worth a try. I wouldn't recommend their hainan chicken rice--it's just that there are other places that do it much better.
Their drink selection is great--we love MF26 (Special iced tea with creamer or something like that).
So far, it's the best Malaysian food I can find around the area. Love the asam laksa, nasi lemak, curry laksa, etc. The coffee jelly drinks are yum too.
I walk past this place every morning on the way to work and have eaten here about a dozen times.
Papparich is a godsend in Parramatta for vegetarians and vegans alike.
On weekday nights the line isn't ever too crazy never waiting more than about 5 minutes. The service times and efficiency is what strikes me the most. My dining companion and I ordered 7-8+ items on the menu and it took roughly about 10 minutes for everything to come out from order.
I'm pretty sure it's a halal menu as well. You must have the Rotti Canai and the chicken skin if you're into meat.
The place is also dirt cheap and we're talking like $10-20 per person to be stuffed silly on Malaysian goodies.

Catch up dinner. Only had to wait a few minutes for a table to be ready. For drinks we got the Milo dinosaur $4.90 - nice and cool to anticipate some spicy foods.
Got the mixed satay sticks with 3 x chicken and 3 x beef! ($14.90) Loved it the peanut sauce is very nice and not too overpowering.
Then for a main i got the Roti Canai with beef rendang - beef was a bit fatty but still tasty and easily shredded. The roti was really nice and crispy not too oily. My friend got the nasi goreng nad said it was good but didnt get to finish it as it was a big serving.
Overall, good first time visit to this store. Will indeed be back!
This place is always busy and is one of the better Malaysian restaurants in Sydney. Service is hit and miss, but food is almost always good. Chicken satay is good, but the peanut sauce a bit too sweet for my liking. The biriyani rice is flavourful. I will rate the chicken curry as the best part of my meal. The curry has a hint of star anise, which is quite pleasing. You can also choose from the long list of standard Malaysian drinks. The cham is recommended.
If you want authentic Malay food, well you've come to the right place! Roti is fresh with good amounts of curry sauces. Most of them aren't too spicy (which is perfect for people like me who can't handle chilli/spice). Prices and servings are decent. Love the extensive menu choice for drinks-so many varieties and combinations which keeps making me come back.
Been here a few times with friends. Have to wait a bit in the queue before being ushered in. Find their staff to be accomodating. My fave is their roti and chicken rice with steamed chicken. Tried thier lychee drink which is really refreshing and their Malaysian coffee/tea combo was a comforting drink. Will go back and try their other drinks and deserts.
One of my favourite places to go! Highly recommend - roti canai with curry chicken, egg roti is good too, hainan chicken rice, banana roti, curry laksa... The list can go on! Can't go wrong here!
Came here with a small group of friends for lunch and although it was quite busy we were lucky to be seated promptly. The menu has the wide range of choices for not only food, but also beverages which I was very pleased about. We ordered a Dry Koay Teow with Steamed Chicken, Vegetarian Sweet & Sour Chicken with Rice and Biryani Rice with Red Chicken & Sambal Prawns. The sauce of the Dry Koay Teow had a nice flavour, however the overall dish was difficult to finish as it only contained noodles, a small amount of bean sprouts and the side of steamed chicken. I had a lychee soda for my drink which was simple yet very nice and refreshing. Our food came out quickly and service was good. Would like to come back in the future to try their roti!

Located at the Westfield side of the station, the service is very fast and friendly. The plain rotis are consistently delicious. The staff say rotis take 10 mins to prepare but they don't take that long at all. At this visit, I had the curry fish fillet noodles. The broth was excellent and the fish fillet crispy. The serving was generous.
The food here is so good and flavoursome!
So much variety and the staff are friendly and funny.
I like how their way of ordering is different. You aren't pressured to make a decision coz they don't keep coming to check up to see if you are ready yet you just press a button after you have written your order. It's great!
Papparich is my all the time favourite Malaysian restaurant.
It just next to the train station where is always busy. Their staff are very friendly and helpful. Roti takes longer time to get than other dishes but it's worth to wait.
My favourite dishes are Roti Canai, organic soya milk and spicy chicken. Some friends recommended chicken skin, but I found its quite average.
Never get sick of eating here, the food is amazing; and you're definitely getting your money's worth. Their drink menu is so diverse, you can't get it anywhere else.
Only downside is the cramped atmosphere, and the waiters knocking down our plates.

Food: always great, whether you are getting entree's, mains or dessert!
their food portions are very generous and will not leave you feeling hungry.
their drinks are amazing, with plenty of variety and choice on their menu which caters for different consumers.
Service/hospitality: is always good! the waiters are very responsive, and the wait for food is never delayed.
Price: for 2: (entree, 2mains, dessert, drinks) average around $80
the restaurant has great atmosphere and is very inviting and always comfortable& spacious. We highly recommend this restaurant for couples, friends & families.
I'd been wanting to try Papparich for a while and finally got the opportunity today.
The menu is big with choices all in different variations. Basically you can have currys served with a couple types of roti or rices etc various chicken dishes and their famous satays.
I ordered the Roti Canai with beef rendang which was slow cooked deliciousness - the roti was flakey and light but absolutely yum.
I got a mixed satay which were divine. The peanut sauce was lovely too.
My favourite drink when I was in Singapore was the coffee tea combo drink so I got a version on ice. I loved it.
You write your order on the paper and ring a bell for the waitress. That bell noise gets annoying after a little while but I ended up forgetting about it when the yummy food came.
I'm definitely coming back!
PappaRich continues to be a favourite in Parramatta with healthy lines if you turn up at peak times. The food is good, though not the best Malaysian around, and you'll find all of your favourites here. I love mop the fried chicken skin (as naughty and delish as it sounds) along with the Nasi Lemak with beef rendang, Assam Laksa (which is hard to find in Sydney) and the Chilli Pan Mee (noodles). Service is swift with the ordering system requiring the customer to write their order on the "ordering chit" and then ring a buzzer on the table to get service -- the continual buzzer noise from all of the tables does not a quiet dinner make, but it's part of the fun. Prices are good, though they have a minimum EFTPOS limit of $20 which is really annoying if you're dining alone.

Mlady and her friend Madame C decided to have a relaxing lunch and went to the ever popular Papparich. We did not book and did not need to and as there were just the two of us it was easy to grab a table. Although there was outside seating - we decided to eat inside. Those who have been to Papparich know of the novelty value in selecting your delicious meal and writing it's corresponding number on the writing pad provided. Once you have made all your selections you press the buzzer - which is located on the container housing your cutlery and a wait staff will come to collect your order - very easy! Make sure that if you are sharing a meal - to ask for plates.
I went there during Mothers Day❤️. Very busy but i was blown away with their speedy service..🚀🚀🚀 The food was delicious. Crispy chicken??? 🌟🌟🌟 One of the best Malaysian restaurant in Sydney. Highly recommended 👍
Outstanding as usual. The flavours and variety are always great, also the prices are decent and fair. Ordered two main dishes, sides and special drinks for a total coming to $54 I mean it’s hard to find a price like that these days. Also the staff are great and efficient.Absolutely will be back again !
Great variety of dishes available. In relation to the proteins of each dish ordered, the chicken was nice and tender, with the beef being abit dry due to the larger bite size. Paparich consistently delivers in flavour and service was efficient.
It has slowly became my weekly must eat dinner at Papparich. Another busy night, I chose to come over at about 7.30pm because it is usually long queue before that.
White coffee + Teh tarik 5/5
It basically taste the same as the Papparich back home in Malaysia. Gonna be my long term supply for Malaysia drink in Australia 🤭
Nasi lemak with sambal prawn and curry chicken 5/5
Regardless which nasi lemak you choose, they are all nice basically, and huge portion size.
Nasi Kunyit with Masala Fried Chicken and Sambal Brinjal 5/5
My first time trying this and I’m amazed especially the sambal brinjal. I think it is fried before cooked with sambal. A little bit crunchy outside and soft inside. Superb!
Roti Teluk with beef rendang 5/5
Gotta say is quite generous with the amount of beef rendang given. Very tender and flavourful. Although is a little bit pricy, if you’re craving for Mamak, this is a good option for the crave.
Will I come back again? 5/5
Always 5 yesssss for this
Everything was absolutely amazing !! I loveed that the noodle has a bit of a kick. And the chicken satay was actually better than i expected. Its very busy place but the service was fast.
The food is good as always. Best Malaysian food in Australia. The roti and chicken curry are the items to go for. Staffs are friendly and helpful. It takes little bit time to get food if your order have roti.
First time trying PappaRich Parramata and experience was really good. Service is quick and friendly. Place has a good ambience.
Ordered Ice milo, Chicken Laksa, and Fried prawn noodle. I could not finish the Laksa as the portion was really big, may be best to come in group and order dishes to share as portions are big for me. Noodle we asked for spicy +++ and it was spicy +++ 🌶. Next time we may order as Takeout since it’s difficult to eat all at once. You’ve earned a patron PappaRich 👍🏼
