Review Mille Uno - Parramatta

Sanjay Acharya
A new restaurant ii n the area. Being a frequent customer of the area, we decided to try this one out on Sunday. When you look at the restaurant from outside, It looks great, the colour and the furnitures bring in the warmth. Such a great location that you can't miss it. We got in. Found straightaway it was not very welcoming. Took them a few minutes to notice someone walk in from the door. Then everything went pretty smooth once we were noticed. Got our food ordered, then drinks. The bar was quiet but our drinks never came out. When I enquired the waiter, He went and talked to the bar guy (he was not a bartender). We cant make a bellini today as there is no bartender today. 1. Why is there no communication beforehand ? Before you take the order. Or why does the bar attendant not notify straight away so we could have chosen sth else. And I had to enquire after 15 minutes to find out they cant make it so its not on the table. It's a joke. 2. Bellini is such an easy drink to make, nobody can go wrong. And not having a bartender on a fully functioning bar on a fairly busy dinner service. It doesn't work that way. 3. We then asked if they could do Aperol Spritz and they said yes. It was disgusting. My wife had a sip and that was about it. Bad. Very bad. The five spice squid and cauliflower popcorn as entre served well. On time. Good balance. Tasted great. Mains, Pork ribs. Awesome flavour, well glazed and massive size. But it was dry. I could feel the rubbery texture of dry meat. Barramundi, It was good portioned, served on bed of iceberg, onions, tomatoes, orange pulps and was great. Moist and great. The crispy skin was extremely salty though. The lamb and couscous salad was satisfying and have no complaints about it. Good portioned and great dressing. The waiter boys were great with their service and accommodated with our needs. Its a plus But, there is no place for errors as there are many restaurants in the area which offers a great service and brings in great value to the table. So trial and errors don't work. The management need to step up the game before its too late. Few pics of the food for the reference

I love the decor of this restaurant. The place settings are beautiful, the details on the staff uniforms and the bar area have all been designed with attention and care. This is a really nice environment for a meal. We came in for breakfast on a weekend and it wasn't busy. The staff were quick and attentive. The food was fresh and delivered promptly. The menu had a range of sweet and savoury options. The prices are very reasonable for the area and for the setting. I will definitely be back for dinner. The pizza looks great. I would really like to give it a try. Edit: We came back for dinner and had pasta and garlic pizza bread. The garlic pizza was amazing! The bread was cooked perfectly. The crust was so pillowy and soft. It was glorious. Unfortunately, the pasta was not good. The marinara sauce was terrible. The octopus, the calamari rings, and the muscles were all way too over cooked. The muscles may have been old as the flavour was intensely fishy and slightly acidic. The sauce also had raw chilli and garlic chopped into it, which should have been cooked out. The Bolognese sauce was a bit bland. The flavours were underdevelopment, like it hadn't been cooked for long enough. We won't be back for the pasta. We loved the pizza dough so much that we'll be back for that though.

Loved this place. Service was wonderful - friendly and proactive and knowledgeable. Started with mediterranean chicken skewer which was tasty and balanced. Then I had the wild forest mushrooms risotto, fighting off my fellow diners in the process who kept stealing the outstanding bread.

We stopped for lunch in a Friday afternoon. It was busy, but there were available tables. The setting is elegant and comfortable. We were attended to quickly. The menu was extensive and offered a variety of options. The food arrived quickly. I had a mushroom risotto and it was delicious - it had a deep flavour and was a generous portion size. The bill represented good value. We will return if we get the opportunity.

I had The Butcher 13in Pizza, it was amazing. Flavour and texture spot on! Also had a nice drop of Italian wine... so good I had a second glass.

I held a surprise baby shower there today, it was the most beautiful setting! The staff were so friendly and offering help, owner was so nice and allowed me to decorate the tables. The food was so delicious and my boss was just amazed! Reasonably priced and such great meals! Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Wine was amazing and food was nice, great portion sizes but limited menu choices. The staff were friendly but only two wait staff on a Friday night. We were well attended to until we finished our mains and waited half an hour for the bill and struggled to get anyone's attention. Friendly staff but understaffed. Decor is lovely.

The food was quite honestly average. The garlic bread was quite nice but didn’t have a strong garlic taste. I had the pesto pasta. The flavour was okay, but none of the pasta is homemade. Sort of just felt like something I can make at home...

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the interior was absolutely beautiful with the gold cutlery etc. The wine menu had not been updated, and they didn’t have any of the Italian wines but the waitress was very apologetic and called her manager (or the owner) who was very pleasant to talk to. He brought out a few wines for us to taste and decide! Always love it when a waiter/manager offers wine tasting!

Overall, a decent experience. The service was what made it a pleasant experience but not the kind of place where you can sit for hours.... Won’t be rushing back unfortunately!

Right in the heart of Parramatta along Eat Street, Mille Uno offers an affordable fine dining experience. Everything about this place screams luxury, with the plush chairs, marble tabletops, gold cutlery and gorgeous interiors. My recommendations are the Calamari Fritti and Nonna’s Meatballs as well as cheeky Mojito to wash it all down.

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my Zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

I grew up in the Parramatta area and noticed a change on the main strip of Church St. Mille Uno has opened up - a new Italian Eatery as a new venue, new owners, new menu and chefs from the former restaurant Liana's. The fit out is modern and new. Matt and I have been invited along with some other foodies and influencers to check out the food at Mille Uno. I start chatting away with the table about all things reality tv.

The best Italian food in Parramatta! Mille Uno has everything: style, delicious food, amazing drinks and impeccable service. I was honestly blown away by how good the food was, especially the pasta and pizzas, and how attentive the staff was to every table. They also have a great venue, everything is decorated and styled beautifully, it would be a really great spot for date night!

Under rated place.
Being there several times, the presentation and the taste of food are both above the average. Better than other Italian in Parramata. Personally recommend and the environment is really nice. I love their coffee as well. Pasta and pizza are both delicious. The garlic bread is absolutely amazing. Anyway, it's a nice place for Italian.

Generally it is hard to find good food for vegetarians but this place served food which were so satisfactory for my taste buds!

Loved their food, service and hospitality!
I ordered the following -

As I am fond of breads I ordered their Homemade bread basket which was served with sun dried tomatoes and the breads tasted so fresh and soft! 5/5

Next I ordered Pesto, basil, pinenuts, cream Pasta which was made with fresh basil and this was my favorite dish! I would definitely be going back for this! 5/5

Along with it we ordered their Vegana Pizza which was topped with lots of veggies and the taste was good for a veg pizza! 4/5

Omg lastly their desserts should not be missed! Everything on the menu looked so good! I ordered the Creme Brule fresh baked vanilla Creme which was so yummy and I have never had such a yummy desert in the longest! The best thing was it wasn't too sweet so loved it so much! Do try this 5/5

If you are a vegetarian don't hesitate just go in and try their vegetarian options!
Will be back soon!

Overall, we had a very poor experience at Mille. The pesto pasta wasn’t good at all, garlic bread was strange and lacked flavor and allergies weren’t catered to despite prewarning - the owner told us we needed to call 24 hours ahead to advise the kitchen of allergies (what?!). Service was ok, bartender was lovely but our waiters didn’t seem to want to help. Won’t be returning back unfortunately.

The design and interior are lovely but the food is very disappointing. I ordered the Fettuccine Carbonara and a Tiramisu for dessert. Both dishes were disappointing. The pasta was dry like it had been pre-cooked and left to sit until it was needed. The sauce had curdled and had an unpleasant flavour. I ordered the entrée size and still only managed to eat half as it was really unpalatable. I was hoping the Tiramisu would make up for the bad main but unfortunately it was just a soggy mess which I also didn't finish. The restaurant was also uncomfortable hot. Not sure if the AC wasn't working? Service was OK. Plenty of better Italian restaurants in the area, I wouldn't return.

Mille Uno is quite new and located in the middle of Church Street. The restaurant is beautifully designed with a sleek interior. Service has been prompt and accommodating. The lunch menu is extensive and fairly cheap. Would recommend the ragu di agnello, I’ve had it twice & it hasn’t disappointed.

Great ambience, good seating arrangement boyh indoor and ourltdoor, polite service and some really good small bites have all raised the expectations for the main course.

Unfortunately the main course of both the pasta and barramudi fillet have turned out to be pretty mediocre.

I will still recommend this place and I will give it a try one more time before I jot down an exhaustive review and hopefully an updated rating.

This place is great! The food is delicious, pizza, pasta and dessert alike, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere and interior design is fancy and gorgeous.

In Parramatta for a weekend Family Christmas Catch Up. Looking for breakfast the next morning hubby and I were trawling along Phillip Street for somewhere nice to eat.
Not having time to consult Zomato, we were tempted to try Mille Uno. It appeared to be only recently opened.
What stuck me was the very expensive looking padded chairs and gold plated cutlery.
The service was friendly and efficient. The coffee spot on 4.5/5!
I chose Avocado on Sourdough Toast with a poached egg. Hubby had poached eggs with sauteed mushrooms and toasted sourdough.
My meal was heavenly, and presentation perfect! The meal was so big I didn't have lunch!!
Highly recommended this place you for breakfast. If I ever return to Parra I will definitely return to Uno Mille for lunch or dinner! Total score 4.5/5!
