Review Max Brenner - Parramatta

Krishna Kamal (Krish)
One of The best looking cappuccino... Walking around and discovered this. Great tasting coffee maybe coz of the chocolate. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating couple use a bit of cleaning up though, the tables were sticky. Overall a decent experience

The only this is good chocolate sauce Only one person did everything! Cinnamon is very bad for almost two or three days on the fridge The coffee wasn't hot!

Nice experience! We tried their White Chocolate Crumb Cheesecake and Rocky Road Sundae and both were great. Staff is friendly too. Highly recommended.

Nice place run by incompetents. We were served hot chocolate in dirty used mugs and when I told the staff about it, I was told these were marks on the mugs but when I showed them that all marks came off with water and tissues they got defensive and told me that I should've asked for paper cups. It's absolutely disgusting. Who wants to eat the food they ordered after this. I'm never coming back here again.

DO NOT ORDER THE WHITE CHOCOLATE CHAI, it does not taste like white chocolate and is super watered down. It is also half filled including the tea bag. The photo was taken before we drank from it. The server took away our number before all our food arrived so we had to ask for the remaining food and there were flies everywhere! If you want max brenner definitely visit another location.

I'm not sure why the reviews for this store are so low, we came here at night and it was a great place for dessert. Staff were friendly and the chocolate was delicious, with a selection of milk or dark chocolate to match your preferences. They also had a birthday dessert with sparklers on top which was great fun.

I love the coffee and the desserts at MB, Visited at 10 tonight after dinner, waited on the counter for almost 10 minutes no one even bothered to take the order at least so we can seat. two unhappy customers were already leaving before us . Three staff members all multitasking, running around helpless, obviously not properly trained. I feel sorry for you guys , none of your managers bothered themselves to delegate your job properly.I'll make it easy for you. One on the coffee machine nonestop, second taking orders and prepares the dessert, third serves the tables. It's not a rocket science!

The hazelnut dome and chocolate souffle were so yummy. Will definitely recommend it. I love this place and the staff are so nice.

Had a terrible dining experience here. Waited half an hour for an item that definitely did not need that long to prepare. The store was in a disgraceful state, with food scraps and drink spillages all over the floor and dirty dishes piled up everywhere. Staff were not cleaning up as customers left. We ordered a dessert pizza to share and were given tiny coffee cup saucers to eat off of which was baffling. My fruit drink arrived in a cup covered in chocolate that had clearly not been cleaned, and the cutlery and inadequately sized “plates” were also grimy and dirty. Extremely unpleasant and unclean - not worth the money for the poor experience we had.

Probably one of my favorite dessert places to visit in Sydney ☑️.

It's literally the first place I go to after I get off the plane.

The waffle ball hot chocolate is probably the best hot chocolate I have ever had, and it doesn't fail to disappoint "ever" 🍫☕ so much so I ask for extra chocolate balls to take back to NZ with me.

Another favorite of mine is the Belgian waffle with ice cream & chocolate or anything that they make with peanut butter in it.

Staff are friendly, and I love the layout of the restaurant.
Overall a great experience.

Ambience : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Food : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Staff : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Price : ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went there for the first time on a Thursday night and it was busy, as you would think it would be. Nice seating area however the food is a different story.

I ordered a white chocolate mocha and strawberries with chocolate sauce. The chocolate sauce was great, however the strawberries were not fresh as they had visible bruising on them. Didnt recieve the drink until 20mins later! When I did recieve it, it was definitely not appetising at all! Taste wasnt great either. It was really grainy and not great and for that price it is definitely not worth it.

Should have gone to Oliver Brown instead!!

Never has this place been any less comforting.
I really love the aroma of this beautiful place.
It has the best of chocolates to relish on, the hot chocolates are just so nice.
I generally order cap when I am at such cafes but I recently the way they make the hot chocolate is real nice so I decided to order one. It was really a good experience!
Travis
I usually love this place! But today I ordered my usual Hot chocolate but didn’t taste right?..... it had a different unusual taste to it 😔 It was disappointing as I really felt like having it then.
Frankiieshungrytummy
Service was okay but my popsicles came out melted so had to ask for new ones.
Wait time was a bit longer than normal but dessert was really good.
Prices aren't too bad as the chocolate is delicious and creamy!
Located above parramatta station so is easy to get to via public transport.

Waffles & Chocolate

What can be said about Max Brenner that hasn't been already said. This place is an institution that has been serving yummy desserts for ages.

The Parramatta outlet is smack bang in the middle of the Bus Interchange below Westfield and above the train station. However you come to Parramatta you'll not be too far from this outlet. The place needs some TLC if you notice but the food is still the best thing here. I've tried the waffles and the chocolate sauce which I can't get enough of. The waffles on a cold night is nice warm and a lil doughy but crispy nevertheless. the indulgent chocolate sauce and the strawberries for some tartness is perfect combination as per me. The Hot chocolate though is good too but I've had better. Try the Fondue too, it's great and so is the coffee.

Come here if you want to indulge. It' s a great option

After a long day of drowning myself in textbooks I loved coming here to finish the day off in the best way possible. My favourite dish: the tutti frutti waffles ❤️

Came here for dessert on a movie night. Okay service but the seats and tables were dirty and plates are not collected frequently. Not a bad place to go but nothing mindblowing. You get what you pay for.

Awesome dessert place that open till quite late. Spacious, good for group and friendly staffs. The foods and drinks also delicious as always.

Love the waffles, very exquisite and the rich chocolate on top makes it all worth it!
This place tops on presentation.

The hot choc is so awesome that I have to forbid myself to pass by. Perfect hot dark chocolate, Really, hard to stand. The staff is friendly and the vibe is very pleasant. Coffee is also fine.

The Cheesecake is to die for!!!

Absolutely loved this place !

✔️ Another one of my fave dessert places, this was my first time trying their new vegan desserts - I was BLOWN AWAY!!! The vegan hot chocolate (like a soufflé in a cup) was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING I honestly couldn’t believe it was vegan, it was actually better than any other soufflé I’ve had. Gooey, rich and sooo yummy😍 Also tried the vegan dark choc peanut butter pizza - very rich with the PB as the base but again absolutely delicious. And the vegan hot choc is a plus too. Yum yum yum finally a close dessert place that won’t kill my stomach every tim

❌ In all honesty the service here is really bad and has been the multiple times I’ve dined at this particular Max Brenner. The staff are unfriendly, slow and we always without a doubt get our desserts separately.

Food: 4.5/5
Presentation: 4/5
Service: 1.5/5
Location: 4/5

The vegan midnight choc nutter was really yummy! Didn’t taste vegan at all which I appreciated... I was really impressed with the pizza base. I was given generous serving of PB & choc on my pizza. Highly recommend...
Sara
I usually always go to the Max Brenner at Blacktown just because it’s closer to home and more convenient for me. I noticed the only difference here is that Max B at Blacktown is (most of the time) much more generous with chocolate than the Max B in Parramatta. Other than that, the ladies serving me were very friendly :)
Shirley
It is a popular franchise for a reason. In terms of this particular store, it was very average. I think the chocolate and banana crepe has way to much banana and not enough crepe or chocolate. You should probably order something else. The vegan hot chocolate is surprisingly delicious although the classic got chocolate not so much. Seating on a busy night can also take a while.
Foodaholic
We have been wanting to visit this place for some time and finally got a chance to go. Usually this place is jam packed but last Saturday suprisingly it was empty. So after lot of contemplation we ordered 80s milkshake add chocolate overload cupcake. The cupcake was a disappointment, extremely ordinary. Nothing to boast about and tiny too. The milkshake was pretty good thick as well, with the ice cream and the frozen chocolate.

Staff was friendly, but dint really know the menu I felt. We asked for recommendations and got really vague reply. The sofas were completely worn out and looked pretty disgusting.

Nevertheless the milkshake made us happy.

Fondue For Two : 😁 Great
Banana Crepe : 😁 Great
Classic Hot Chocolate : 😁 Great
Sinful Vegan Dark Hot Chocolate : 😍

Fondue For Two was a classic with fruit, banana bread and marshmallows. The dark chocolate dip was amazing! The Banana Crepe was very generous with the bananas and was very fulfilling. The Vegan Hot Chocolate was the highlight of the night. It was very rich, creamy and hot ... the way hot chocolate should be.

I had the Chocolate mess and 3 of we’re sharing it we finished this delicious dessert in a few minutes. If you love chocolate this is one place you should be going to when in Sydney.
Janvi Kapoor
Well I am so surprised that I came in this store at 10:05 and the guy here tells me that they can only do take away. How can I have a fondue in take away. The service was absurd coz he said that they’re already washing the dishes. Lucho the guy here said that the manager Maxi has instructed them to serve only take away after 10. I am just too disappointed and appalled by this ridiculous service. Do not go.
Traveleatoeat
Delish but quite costly, hence a 4-Star rating. Everything they have is 5/5, but again it’s quite costly maybe because of the ingredients they use, so for pricing it’s 4/5 for a frugal person like myself.
Nishant Krishna
Amazing variety of chocolate desserts. Fast service and very friendly staff..!!👍🏻
White choc chai is a must try..
Amazing brownie desserts..!👍🏻
Hungry Teddy
Chocolate Souffle. Forget anything else on the menu. Try this one if you love chocolate and relieve stress by munching on them. 4 bears for the Chocolate Souffle.
Kitty Kat
The store is big however it is packed almost every night. They serve good hot/cold milk chocolate drinks and coffees as well. If you are a fan of a dessert pizza, then chocolate pizza with a crunch is a must try.
Pam
Lol $20 for 2 standard-tasting waffles and a scoop of ice cream. Totally overpriced and overhyped. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have money to burn
Seify
Very nice place to stop for dessert. I have tried most things on the menu and it is always delicious. One of my favourites is the fondue. However it is a bit pricey compared to most other places.
Zee The Bee
I went to another branch 3 years ago. It was better to be honest. This time I tried the chocolate soufflé , it was average, and a coffee ( tasted like anything except coffee, tasted like just milk ) probably not the right place to grab a coffee. Their hot chocolate a in hug mug is an experience

We received a gift voucher with 25 dollars when we highlighted on social media. This time, although it was the same server at the counter who was taking orders, he was not quite as arrogant like he was earlier... we ordered white cheesecake that came with strawberries and chocolate dip, chocolate mousse and a frappe. It was good... hence raising the 🌟 ...
Service arrogant like hell... lowering rating to 1! Very arrogant and not at all polite...

They can never go wrong with that signature strawberry chocolate dip and waffle ice cream combo and chocolate pizza... this one is open till midnight so I can satisfy my midnight cravings 😂😂😂 and amazing staff and service!!!
The Hungry Insomniac
Max Brenner chocolate bar ❤

This place has got my heart.
Ambience- a beautiful done up place which is super lively.
What we ordered- white chocolate cheesecake
Brownie and a banana sundae
All three were served with small pots of milk chocolate fondue and and the brownie was served with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream 🌈
The white chocolate cheesecake was 'melt in your mouth type'. The base got that buttery feel to it. It was real good 🍰
The brownie- this was the star of the show.
Bestest brownies ever. Super gooey. Just plain heaven with chocolate goodness. With the ice cream. It was perfect match
Banana sundae- it was just 3 scoops of ice cream with caramel and other good stuff, oh and also too much banana. If you love banana. This is your thing. I didn't quite enjoy it.
But otherwise. This place is a must must try 💟
Aravind'G
Had been here twice .. good taste of chocolate and brownies.. had a nice cup of cappuccino once .. loved the place.. and the choco banana shake was awesome
The Naked Food Addict
One of my favourite dessert places! I love the simplicity of max brenners. Something as basic as banana bread and a chocolate lick makes me so incredibly happy! I am also obsessed with their coconut hot chocolates as well. SOOOOO good! The only downfall I find is that it often seems somewhat unorganised. I know that they have a set process where you order, and then you get given a number and then they bring your food out to you, but it often feels quite rushed. But the dessert is so good, so I don't mind too much.
Miku Hatsune
Good food, really nice drinks. Would come again even though it is quite pricey. Worth it though! Waffles and cheesecake are to die for! They are so good.
Jo Datur
Best 'waffle with chocolate sauce, served with chocolate ice cream' ever! Paired with their hot chocolate with chocolate balls ❤️

Had to beg my boyfriend to bring me there again the following day.

I want to have this for breakfast all the time.
Minah Teftsis
Great atmosphere , was seated promptly and table waiter was really polite , everything was made perfectly was nice and sweet definitely would go back here :)
Rozz113
Consistent food. Long waiting time to be seated. Staff could be a bit more friendly but otherwise a full on chocolate experience. I like it better than olive brown and san churro.
Rebecca
Good hot chocolate. With so many options these days I would say it's nothing too special but it's consistent and readily available for those cold wet days
Our Flower
Great for those with a sweet tooth!! My favourite food to order are the tutti fruitti waffles, if you are a waffle fan, you will definitely like that.
Staff are friendly and it is very spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend

A haven for a chocolate lovers. Get spoilt for choices. Took me some time to make up my mind on what to order. Finally decided to order a chocolate soufflé with ice cream and strawberries. A must try and a must visit place. It will tickle your sweet tooth for sure. Hard to miss place, located in the middle of Parramatta bus interchange. Thank you, Sydney for this experience. @sydneywala

The staff were friendly and the presentation of the food we ordered was good. The taste of the food was a little lackluster for me. We had the white chocolate crumble cheesecake and the tutti frutti waffles which were filling and gave a nice dose of chocolate.
Shubham Kedia
Max Brenner has always put a smile to my face. When I was at Parramatta, I stopped by early in the morning for some tutti fruity Waffles. They waffles were made really well and it was more than enough for two people. They are decently priced and the store opened right on time, which I was really happy to see.
Docfood
Wow the place I haven't been in a while and I guess I know why. I ordered the dark chocolate waffle ball drink and it was so watered down. And the waffle balls aren't as crispy as I used to remember it. The brownie and ice cream was delicious but pricey for the portion you get. The service was friendly.
Agatha Lee
Been here a couple of times over the years and waffles are always a must whenever we visit a Max Brenner. I noticed there was a salted caramel hot chocolate so decided to give it a go. The taste was more caramelly than salted caramel, but it still tasted nice. The criticism for the night were my friend and my drink were not really hot, more like warm chocolate and my other 2 friends who ordered the cappuccino didn't really seem to enjoy theirs either and left about half their drink.

My main issue is that it's hard to find a spot during usual feeding hours, and that's not even a bad thing considering it portrays popularity. Chocolate here tastes unique, but absolutely addictive! A bonus is that they take exclusive orders, you want a chocolate pizza set up with the toppings of your choice, then you go for it!
Judy Yoon
We went here right after having lunch on a public holiday (yes, there is a surcharge) there isn't many seats but luckily there was only a few customers when we entered. It's a good place to catch up with friends as it seems like they don't mind customers staying for a long time.
I wanted to order the White Granita (Lychee & Coconut) but they were out of Lychee, so ended up ordering the Pink Granita. The Pink Granita (Passionfruit & Strawberries) was a bit bland for me. But I guess less sugar means low calories? ;) or maybe they used too much ice?
Hopefully will be able to try the White Granita and some of their desserts next time.

Fondue and waffles.... I can eat it all day long non stop.... The excellent chocolate can be ignored ... Best quality of chocolate. I always come here n hang around wid my friends.. As its open late night very easy to get yummy food in late hours. Satisfies da sweet tooth thing

Went on a chilly winter evening & all I wanted was a Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows. Tried the American Hot Chocolate, and it was wonderful.

Great place with good ambience, only disappointment that they don't have enough seating capacity and staff were not very prompt to clear off used tables. If tables were clean and staff service was a tad better, would have given 4 stars
YUXIPANDA
Diverted from my usual order of a single tutti frutti waffle and I am now only only only ever getting the brownie sundae from now on 😍 Actually gave me diabetes over night but worth it hahaha
Amys_food_adventures
WHITE CHOCOLATE CHAI!! Get it! Its amazing and delicious! Their waffles are also pretty darn good. This place always seems to be packed when i get there so thats a good thing. Great place to catch up with friends and dessert. Order and pay at the counter and they will bring out your food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Located just opposite the train station. Friendly staff and I love their little shop of chocolate items.

This place is choc a block :P Gotta be quick to grab a table it's always super packed.

Ordered waffles, I-Scream Max-Wich, shakes and white choc mocha. Waffles were tasty, served with melted chocolate and fresh fruit.

Ice cream sandwich was great - vanilla ice cream in between two huge double choc cookies. Also came w/ melted chocolate & 100s and 1000s.

Milkshakes were tasty. We had the espresso and praline shake, peanut butter iced chockie and 80s milkshake.
The bf didn't like the 80s shake saying it was more like a frappe and he prefers the thicker shakes. I loved the espresso & praline, it balanced out the dessert well.

Staff were friendly and food came out quick. Prices were reasonable. Good place to get that sweet fix with a varied menu. There's also a shop section where you can buy sweet treats for home or as a gift.

I’ve been to the Max Brenner in the city area as well - both offered a generally great experience but are usually incredibly busy. Went there with friends, really enjoy their Tutti Frutti waffles and chocolate pizza with marshmallows, which was the highlight for me when we went there. The staff there were really friendly. I highly recommend this place, especially for those who really have a heart for chocolate!
Sweetandyummie
This place is busy ! Everytime i walk past it looks jammed up like a sardine in a tin. Apart from that Max Brenner has the most delicious Hot chocolate and the desserts are great. If your prepared to stand like a hawk for a table and dont mind being surrounded by students then definitely visit.
Krit
I love this classy style cafe that have the section for chocolate and other ceramic stuff like Hugmug that I hold it on my hands.
This place probably be my other favourite place for chocolate because chocolate just everywhere and theirs drinks and dessert was amazing. This place always cheer me up after work.
Worth to try
For more follow me on IG: eatwithkrit

Max Brenner is a very popular place and is super good if you obviously love chocolate. I came here with a friend and we got the fondu for two to share as well as the waffle.

The chocolate is so good, the fondu comes with fresh strawberries and bananas, marshmallows and chunks of banana bread. It also comes with two types of chocolate; milk and dark. The waffle was crisp and came with fresh strawberries and bananas as well as vanilla ice cream and milk chocolate drizzle.

All was delicious, i'd come back here next time I visit Sydney :)
Flavor Ninja
My impression: The food is pretty good, and I like the thickness of their hot chocolates. The seating area isn't bad, and I like the dark wood look. They would do better by getting rid of their "mini shop" area where they sell their merchandise and instead add more chairs (more seats, more money). They are a little overpriced but that's ok. When busy sometimes you need to wait ages which is not great. The customer service is lacking and could use an upgrade.

Overall I like this place and would recommend them. If chocolate isn't you're thing, eat a grape :0 (btw I don't think they sell grapes).

Milk Chocolate? ✅
White Chocolate? ✅
Dark Chocolate? ✅

Death by chocolate! It simply sums up what you're going to experience at Max Brenner. Chocolate served in different ways. Warm cup, a fondue, on a pizza and a whole lot more! You'll never run out of options.

If you're keen on having a hot cup of chocolate, you are given the option of having it traditional or extra thick like the Italians do. They serve it in a weird looking cup which makes drinking it a bit confusing. Should I take a sip from the pointy end or roundy end? Perhaps just use the spoon? But who cares, it's chocolate!

My son tried their white chocolate crumb cheesecake and he loved it! I do think it needs more cheese given it's a cheesecake.

We also had the tutti-fruttie waffle and we just love it. Classic pairing of chocolate and waffle. It never goes wrong. You also get ice cream and fruit slices on the side.

Food: Fondue for 2, chocolate milkshakes, coffee.
The fondue is always great, whether you have both milk or dark chocolate the chocolate always tastes amazing and creamy! although, their banana bread is always dry, which ends up breaking whilst picking it up.

the amount of fruit and extras to go with the fondue aren't such generous amounts.

*coffee is always good, and served in nice cups/mugs!

Service: good! staff are always friendly and willing to help!
Price: 2 people = $44
Gabbys79
I am giving a review of 2.5 for this particular branch. Let me get this out of the way - The dessers and chocolates are AMAZING. the hot chocolate will have you dreaming about your next visit. Its the set up, the service and the queues that let this place down. There are not enough tables for the amount of people, and for some reason the service is consistently bad. For a place that charges through the nose, they definitely need to fix that side of the business up.
FoodsterAu
I feel like I've been going to Max Brenner forever. It's been our solid rock to depend on for trusty desserts.

My wife, without fail, goes for her trusty Waffle with a side of Strawberries. I must admit the waffle here is simple but done so well. I think what makes their desserts is the quality of their chocolate.

I opted for one of my old school favourites, the Chocolate Souffle. I was expecting the oozing of chocolate lava as I waited with my camera in anticipation... but was left a bit disappointed as it didn't gush out like I was hoping.

The souffle is one of those deceiving desserts. It looks tiny but is surprisingly filling. It's very rich and dense... so be sure to get some of that complimentary water to wash it down.

On most nights here at the Parramatta branch you would expect a line and not much seating left and tonight was no different. We lucked out with a short line and a group just left. I guess it was just meant to be.

They also have a large range of take home goodies that you can purchase. I have done so before but felt it was slightly overpriced for what you're getting. Their eat-in options are more amazing.

Max Brenner offers reliable and consistent desserts that leaves you smiling... so if you're ever in doubt... this is the closest to a guaranteed crowd pleaser as you can get.

The cold iced frappe drinks are the best. Also waffles and fondue are to die for. And hot chocolate too. Recommend for chocolate lovers. Chocolate galore

Chocolates ..... Diabetus HAHAHAI love their hot chocolate with waffle balls, their so crispy and crunchy also I love the fondue and I can feel my sugar level rises. The shop is located under Westfield and close to Paparich, you can smell chocolate close by. This was on my list of must try's in Sydney. It was Friday evening and after a hectic day max brenner was much needed break. Although we had to walk through the busiest streets of Sydney CBD to reach here. But it was worth the effort. We ordered coffee, hug me shake and Choco lick. It took me back to the chocolatey world of willy wonka. It was chocolate ecstasy. We had greats fun, would love to go again.
Thecasualfoodblogger
Unfortunately the hot chocolate MC ordered was below par. It was too thick and dense and not like the hot chocolates I am used to at MaxB. I think it was made of cream rather than thick chocolate and a little milk. Very disappointing.
Vivian
I have to say, Max Brenner for me has a lot of hit and misses. The chocolate pizza they offer is one of the best things my taste buds have ever been treated to. Their drinks are usually... not so much. Until now.
Sir And Mlady Dine Out
I can never resist the chocolate cinnamon babka - a giant cake that comes with melted chocolate and Mlady always grabs a hug mug of hot chocolate.

Max Brenner is a chocolate cafe. Not a HUGE fan of chocolate like I am? They also serve icy shakes, coffee, tea and a variety of desserts...
Julie M
I am sure most people have gone to max brenner before this is one of my many trips there. Of course you need the waffles along with the trip Hello yummy belgian waffles! Serve with icecream, banana and strawberries. Some fancy thing here..brownie? Up close Chocolate Souffle! Comparing with other desserts places I prefer the waffles here. Lindt cafe' waffles I find not as crispy and a bit soggy. http://www.maxbrenner.com.au/ Serving up the hottest dishes on WordPress.com. Featured on FoodPress Charcutepalooza! Melted chocolate with white chocolate drops and popping candy, and a few gumy bears on the side. This brang back so many childhood memories!

Yesterday I met up with Leigh, Riayn, Fern and Veronica at Max Brenners in Parramatta for a bit of a chat and a whole lotta chocolate. I only drank a hot chocolate - but as you can see from the picture it was very thick and rich! And delicious!
Ellis.ma2010
Great service and even better waffles!. I came here on a friday night after work with a friend and it was fairly busy. The staff who served us were friendly, especially a young female 'Claudia', who recommended chocolate dipping sauce, as well as mini maltesers to go along with our waffles and hot chocolate!

Overall, an enjoyable dessert and will be sure to be back in the future!
Andy
Great chocolate drinks. Good place for having range of chocolate drinks!
Megan
Good service, good food. $15 minimum for EFTPOS is a killer though
Jelena Plavsic
Service is absolutely terrible, waited half an hour for a cup of coffee. Staff is unorganised, no one clearing tables makes for a filthy environment. Not what I expect from a large franshied cafe.
Amanda Mata
What a joke... Worse service ever experienced there. The staff looked lost, unorganized and unfriendly. Staff were writing txt msgs while preparing food, shakes aren't measured prior to being mixed and the food preparation area is just plain dirty. Too small to function efficiently no wonder the food isnt great.
Tasteit
Bland. Tasteless chocolate shake way too much ice and made it to watery.
could not taste any chocolate flavour. asked them to remake it was given a dirty look from him and he said that i would have to pay again at the counter again.
bad service and never to go again.
Chocolate Spice
Bad service, overpriced, average food. I don't understand what all the hype for Max Brenner is about; in fact, I don't think I'd visit this store again.

The first time I visited this Max Brenner store, I bought a cookies and cream shake. It tasted alright (had too much ice so it was rather bland) but was overpriced; even KFC krushers taste a lot better and is only a fraction of the price. I hadn't taken account of the time as I was enjoying the wait with a group of friends.

The second time I went alone. I tried the exploding chocolate shot. I waited in anticipation for the popping candy, but this excitement had slowly disappeared. I waited for 10 minutes - nothing arrived. 20 minutes - still, nothing. 30 minutes. Nothing.

I realised that people who were served AFTER me, were served large plates of waffles; whereas I, who had only ordered one small shot of melted chocolate, was ignored. I reminded the staff that I had ordered it and then they got to making it. Two minutes later, it had arrived. I don't know if they had merely forgotten it, or had purposely left me waiting there. While I was waiting, some of the staff just walked past me, staring. They didn't even ask if anything was wrong. Perhaps they didn't want to serve me as I was alone and only ordered something small; and they desire the customers who were likely to come back and order larger servings (in order to get more money).

Overall, they shouldn't have kept me waiting for over 30 minutes - could have reached an hour if I hadn't reminded them - for a small shot of melted chocolate with a few chocolate chips and a small spot of popping candy on top. I had also paid over $5 for this. It would be much more valuable to make your own at home; you could make many more portions with that amount of money in the time period they kept me waiting.

It was definitely not worth it - I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Huw Williams
Minimum $15 spend to pay with eftpos or credit card.

This is unacceptable from a large franchised cafe.

Also the ceramic cups have no handles which makes it very hard to hold when containing a hot drink.

Never coming back.
Cindy
Tutti Frutti. The title of my review says it all, if you have a sweet tooth then this is the definite place to go! Max Brenner serves the best hot chocolate and desserts ever! My all time favourite- their tutti fruitti- which consist of waffles, strawberries, bananas with melted chocolate to dip in. Heaven in your mouth :) The desserts@ Max Brenner are well served and presentable.

Love max brenner, hate the store. My niece and nephew love this as a treat. I always take them for their birthday. But taking them to parramatta max brenner was a mistake. Bad service, and the furniture was uncomfortable with rips and tears in it. I think I'll stick with The black town store from now on.

Awful - Never going back. I have been a couple of times and every experience was negative. I only had 30mins for lunch and ordered ONE coffee, after 10mins I asked where it was, the rude staff member told me it's coming sit down! (Mind you it was not busy and other people had received their food even though they ordered after I did). After 20mins I asked again, I told him to make it take away as I wouldnt have time to drink it and he said "oh well thats okay"!! When I finally did get it, the milk was so burnt I couldnt drink it! I didnt have time to complain so I filled in their online feedback survey and didn'r receive a reply for 3 weeks! I was basically told it was a busy store and I should expect delays and all their staff were fully trained! He basically insinuated I was a bother for complaining. This is how Parramatta Max Brenner's treats their customers! i will NEVER be going back!

Yum!. Food and drink come out relatively quickly even when they are busy. Stop by for a quick waffle and hot chocolate!

It was ok, didnt' understand what all the hype was. the waffle was average.... guess it's alright for a quick coffee/chocolate catch up with friends.

Coffee. As much as I'd like to order chocolate, I am concerned about my weight, so I usually walk into Max Brenner to order a dark chocolate mocca or cappuccino. Their cappuccino is amazing, cuz they use chocolate sauce as the topping rather than cocoa powder. At least, that helps to relieve my choc cravings.

Overrated. As a big chocolate fan, I am deeply disappointed with Max Brenner. I have been there quite a few times, and each time have come out annoyed, disappointed and on some occasions, angry. The staff there are all so incapable of doing a good job: they're slow and seem to have no idea what they're doing. The last time I went there, I believe it took a good 40 minutes just to get a hot chocolate delivered.

The food is heavy and overpriced. And the hot chocolates are nothing spectacular, particularly for the price that's charged for them.

After trying a few of their stores, I won't be going back.

Chocolate madness!!. Had the chocolate pizza and Yikes it was exactly that, and it was expensive!! I know chocolate lovers Love this place but I just found it pricey and maybe because I'm not a huge chocolate lover that I didn't find this place that enjoyable!!
I'm sure someone will drag me back there someday though but I would not suggest this place for myself.
