Review Georgie Porgies - Parramatta

Coffee was good, cafe menu has a very poor selection

Good place to stop & rest after shopping at Westfield Parramatta. It's an inviting cafe with the cake cupboard showing some fabulous & yummy dessert items. Staff friendly & welcoming. I ordered a soy flat white & an egg & bacon roll. Good price $9.00 + the coffee $13.10... I was a little under whelmed when the roll came out. It looked very bare on the plate with no sides of garnish and the top of the roll was split and it looked like little care had been given when putting it on the plate. However, the cafe may believe in simplicity on a plate. I mean, I did order an egg & bacon roll, not a roll with a side of garnish. So it could just be their approach to giving what people asked for. Less is more way of thinking. Plus it made no difference to the taste of the food, it was a yummy roll. I would eat there again to try some of the other foods on the menu.

Lack of communication and staff not knowing their cafe resulted in me paying $12 for one thin bit of toast with a small amount of avocado on it. One staff member tried to help in correcting the error however looked like a deer in headlights as he didn't know what to actually do. Salt and pepper came out in single sachets like you'd get in a plane. Just a little more respect and thought into how your customers experience may go a long way. Respect your cafe enough to train all your staff properly. From how it runs to good customer service. I'm sorry I had to leave this.

I don't know how but the coffee is always great here. The staff are fun to talk to. Will have to try food next time round.

This is one of my favourite cafes in Parramatta when im shopping. Lush is very close by and it's a good place to sit whilst waiting for the kids to shop. Coffee is great and the staff are always friendly.

I got terribly bad service from the girl who i order to today around 10am.Even though it wasn't busy at that time she was rude and arrogant and sighed as i ask her what tart that is and how much they are. It should have been happy morningtea time. But she ruined my day. The most terrible moments i've ever had!!!

Absolutely terrible service. Rude to kids. My little was utterly disappointed the way babycinno was served in a paper piccollo take away cup even after specifying to serve like the way its done. Don't expect a cafe like service. Never again! Avoid bad start of the day.

Friendly staff and good coffee! Decent selection of food too

It was... okay, I suppose. My friends and I all ordered different flavoured frappes and were quite confused as to the lack of whipped cream on top of it. We even asked a member of staff if they mixed up our orders, as our drinks looked exactly as the iced drinks that they sell, there was absolutely no difference.

Chocolate Frappe: ♠️♠️♠️/5
It was okay, wasn’t the normal brown colour you would assume them to be. Had three tiger stripes of chocolate on the side, which was the only real big bang of flavour. Oddly enough, they had large scoops of vanilla ice cream in it, and multiple ice cubes.

Chai Frappe: ♠️♠️♠️/5
Quite delicious, tastes exactly like chai. The texture was quite odd, almost as though it was missing something. I would compare it to a slurpie.

Coffee Frappe: ♠️♠️/5
Incredibly bitter, half of the drink itself was just froth.

Awesome Cappuccino. Probably one of the best I've had. The Barista greets you with a smile and is eager to serve. Coffee presentation is artistic. Service and Cleaning could have been better. Overall - Highley Recomended

I was expecting the coffee to be average/poor as is generally the case with Shopping centre cafes but my take away skim latte was the best coffee I've had in a long time. Unfortunately, I'd only bought a small. Service was very quick with no issues. Definitely recommend!

On Boxing Day, after a shopping marathon, I needed some food. I sat down in the cafe, and started looking at the menu. Trying to make my mind, one of the employee/owner (Anthony) asked me to order something and reminded me that it's not a public seating. This guy (Anthony) was himself eating like a pig on adjacent table. I said wait, I am still deciding. Not sure what to order, I called my GF for her opinion, who was still shopping. While I was calling her, this guy started to comment again. By this point I didn't want to order anything from here but I did only to avoid embarrassment. I went to the counter only to find more hostile service. Although the food isn't that bad but service is absolutely pathetic. No one should go through this when they are paying full price.

This little coffee kiosk in the middle of Westfield a couple of floors below the food court was a nice little addition to the number of cafes sprawled across the Center.
The staff are nice as you approach the counter and the seats are pretty comfy. There's also a pretty good selection of sweets and treats to choose from at the counter, from friands to passionfruit muffins, surely there's something you can find to whet your appetite.
The coffee is okay and comes hot (not a fan of lukewarm coffees) so it's the perfect thing to nurse if you're sitting and having a mid shopping break.
However, it was a little too bitter beans wise for my personal taste.
I like the selection of holders for takeaway because it's always an awkward dilemma to carry around a number of coffees while others go shopping.

There are so many people in Westfields Parramatta shopping. Sometimes I dread parking as it can take some time but it's so popular because it's big with all the retailers that you want. Everybody needs a break though and for those who want to avoid the food court, they sometimes head to Georgie Porgie's for some coffee, lunch or dessert. The best part is

As a barista, your role criteria is pretty straight forward. 1. Make decent coffee and 2. Be friendly to your customers... These guys definitely didn't do their homework there. I have never experienced the level of rudeness that the barista here showed me and a friend last week. I stupidly chose this café as I had been here with in-laws a few weeks prior. Ordered 2 coffees from the friendly cashier, but when they arrived my friend (who is severely lactose intolerant) queried her soy latte being soy because it was so burnt she couldn't tell. I took it back and apologised explaining she was intolerant and could they make it again to be sure. The same coffee was bought back to us because 'the barista said it was definitely soy' and my friend then politely asked again if she could have one that wasn't so hot. Almost 15 minutes later (they weren't busy) the furious barista stormed over to our table, demanded to know who ordered the soy, slammed a new soy coffee in front of my friend and said 'the last one was soy. I made it myself!' then stormed off like a tantrum throwing child. Our catch up was ruined. Even my coffee (a regular milk latte) was well below average, hers was burnt to the point she couldn't drink it and I was so close to going up to them and asking for a refund but didn't want to converse with the rude barista again. I've been a barista myself for almost 10 years and I know that it isn't that difficult to replace a coffee if a paying customer isn't happy. Taking it personally only makes you look like a self promoting a**hole and you won't get any customers returning. Will never ever come here again and have told all my friends who live locally to avoid this place at all costs. Just avoid it. Go to 7 eleven or Maccas over this place...

Great first experience here, coffee was nice and service was friendly. Quite a few selection of cakes and deserts, simple light menu of sandwiches and a breakfast menu. It was later in the afternoon and I only really wanted a coffee and cake, and my lemon tart was awesome! My friend opted for a bacon and egg roll being that she was pregnant, she couldn't really pick from the sandwiches menu and hence, as pictured, the eggs are well done. Will definitely need to come back to try their breakfast menu

Given this place's coffee making pedigree (see Grounds of Alexandria), I just had to give it a try ☕️☕️☕️ The mocha did not disappoint, despite the fact it was my second cup that morning. I will have to change my morning coffee option from now on. I'll probably throw in a couple of those muffins next time 🍽🍩

I live the grounds coffee. Very glad they opened an outlet out this way. Coffee was a tad burnt but food was great. I ordered the zaatar wrap which was filling and very flavoursome.

Good coffee and a nice food. The presentation of the food was very good too. However, they took 30min to serve an iced mocker and banana bread.

GEORGIE PORGIES ~ Bring some of the grounds to the west. Black coffee is my favourite. But the unfortunate thing that comes with my love for that type of coffee is being able to taste a bad cup after the first sip. Stopped here one day to grab a coffee quickly and I am hooked! Not to mention the amazing desserts they have 😍 the scrolls where amazing! If you're in Westfields Parramatta stop by here! So worth it!

Food is good and front counter customer service was great, coffee was on point 👌🏼 however the only turn off is that I've found a really sharp piece of plastic or glass in the size of a finger nail in my food. The chef came out to apologise and that was really nice of him. They made me another plate and gave me a extra coffee while I waited. So, customer service was a high a standard I got to say.

With The Grounds of Alexandira's blend of coffee, a large almond milk latte from Georgie Porgies takes the cake for the BEST coffee inside Westfield 😘

Based on my partner's verdict this time round while he was passing through. Reportedly they did an excellent soy mocha which is a fair feat. Worth a visit to find out for myself I think :)

Best coffee in Westfield. They just never get a coffee wrong. They use grounds of Alexandria beans.
I've had cronuts and scrolls here but I know they also have other cafe food which I'm yet to try..
