Review Thai La-ong - Parramatta

We ordered the chicken cashew and the mixed seafood pepper and garlic lunch special today. The seafood was cooked perfectly, the chicken was juicy. It tastes absolutely amazing and reminded me of the flavours you get in Thailand. Very authentic cuisine and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a cheap eat with full flavour. I would definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu.

Ordered take away. Food was nice. Would be 5 star if they containers were actually full - see pic. Dined in, still portion sizes are pretty small compared to other Thai restaurants. Friendly staff members. Great airflow inside.

What a mess! Bought take away curry for lunch. Take away container wasn’t closed properly and it wasn’t sealed (ie, some glad wrap soup or curry containers). With the curry leaking everywhere, the paper bag didn’t last long. Made it back to the office with an emergency reusable bag that saved the food from the sidewalk. Sadly, it didn’t really help the mess and there’s now a trail of Thai Green Curry around Parramatta. A trip to the dry cleaners also required. What was left of the food was ok.

This place used to be good when it first opened but recently the food is below average. Twice now I have dined in and ordered takeaway twice the food was burned. And instead of tasting the amazing flavours the spices and food I was smelling burning smell when eating. Asked for a refund from Menulog. BEWARE!!! not sure if the owners have changed or they have a new cook but the food is below average now! See photo for further details.

Poor experience Fish Cake ($10) - Has 4 pieces of fish cake, extremely oily, unhealthy, not tasty at all, very disappointed. We had to press the fish cakes with tissue to get the oil out, the tissue was full. How can fish cakes go wrong? coconut ($6) - Taste was average but i found it a little pricy, overall okay Overall pricy place and quality was disappointing. Hope you make it better!

Good lunch deal with either $11 or $16 per dish. The portion is reasonable & enough. Most of the dishes we ordered were tasty. Green curry is kind of bland & not enough green curry. Overall food tastes good & reasonably priced.

I don't really recommend their Thai Fried Rice. I had a mixed entree plate before the main meal. That was pretty decent to be honest. But sadly their typical fried rice is something that you shouldn't try and it's not a something you would expect as a Thai Fried Rice. They use a yellow to green colour sauce for the fried rice which makes the meal looks like a pesto risotto.

Enjoyed an excellent meal and great service. We chose entree of curry puffs which were very tasty followed by a chicken an cashew nut and green beef curry with rice. Nice and hot and fresh. Reasonably priced.

Ordered delivery food. The massaman curry is a total disappointment. The beef is dry and did not mix up well with the curry. The basil chicken is not yum as well. The Tom yum soup is too salty. I believe this level of Thai can not survive in city Thai town area.

I had down here almost every other day for lunch. The lunch options are very economical and the service it amazing. Regardless of a take away or a fine in they treat you well. Plus the food is very authentic.

Unfortunately this was not a good experience...We ordered two mixed entrees and only one turned up. When it became obvious that the second was not coming we queried the order and were told they would check. By the time my partner had half finished her entree I checked on the status of my entree with a different server and was told they would check it. Then the mains arrived and I was asked if I still wanted the entree. I said yes...which was a good thing because when it finally arrived it was the best part of the meal (even though mine came with no dipping sauce).<br/>The Panang Curry for main was bland and barely recognisable. The soft shelled crab was overcooked, flavourless and didn't smell particularly fresh as it approached the mouth and nose.<br/>I'm sure this eatery is better than the meal and service we received but unfortunately for us we got them on a bad night.<br/>The two stars I gave them are for the entree, which was quite good and the fact that (either intentionally or unintentionally) they only charged us for one entree and were quite apologetic about it. The steamed rice was generous and nicely cooked. So kudos for that.<br/>The worst part was that I felt completely dissatisfied after the meal and wanted something else to eat (from somewhere else).

The best lunch for $10, good service and food. Definitely come back again. We had green thai curry, bbq pork with rice and pad thai. Amazing food!

To be honest this is perfect thai lunch venue. $5 beers and quick bit was winner. Green curry n rice was on point. Look forward to coming here on friday again.

The food here is pretty yummy.<br/>A bit longer of a wait than normal thai places but you forget after you taste the food.<br/>They have pretty good lunch specials during the week and is perfect for a grab and go as well.<br/>Located on Church Street so is super easy to walk to.

My favourite Thai place in parramatta. I’ve been there a couple of times for lunch. They have great meal deals for lunch even on sundays. I love their Thai red curry and pad Thai noodles. Food is great, service is quick and attentive. Highly recommended 👍

Ordered the green curry with chicken and pad see ew with tofu. Portions were both well sized but the curry was quite mild and the pad see ew was a tad sweet. The tofu was very nice though.
