Review Jack And Daisy - Pascoe Vale

Cavin Daniel
Overall mixed experience with the food. Staff was friendly and service was quick. In terms of food: 1. Hot cakes were amazing! Pancakes were really soft, fluffy and fresh. 2. The schnitzwalla (schnitzel sandwich on a Turkish bread) wasn’t that great. Was lacking flavour. Felt as if they forgot to put salt. 3. Fries were really good. Thin and fresh with right amount of herb and salt. 4. Mocha was okay. Will visit again to try other food.

I really love this place! Usually I like to go to different places for brunch each time but this is a cafe I find myself returning to. Small and cosy, fast service and most staff are very nice. The jacks roadhouse is great with the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten. So delicious. The only critique would be that sometimes the cold drinks are served in hot cups (presumably due to being recently cleaned). Also, the milk shakes are often room temperature but other than the cold drinks being a bit off, this cafe is amazing. So glad to have found this place!

Loved the ricotta hotcakes with lemon curd but experienced terrible, inattentive service here. Would not go here if you want affordable breakfast with good service. We essentially waited our own table, collected our cutlery and menus and never got waited on.

Great people - feels like a home away from home kinda vibe. Amazing menu option for even the most discerning foodie and as always - fantastic coffees to get the morning started right.
Ben
Ordered a soy fw and a full cream latte, I though I saw the barista use the same jug to pour into both coffees so I asked if one was soy, they said yes. Got the coffees back to work and my colleague said it tasted like cows milk. I tasted it to compare and they were the same. I got 2 coffees out of it but my colleague got to spend the day on the toilet.

Gr8 ambience & service regardless of which type of patron is sitting in. Waited for an excellent healthy salad & added a poached egg. Would highly recommend it just can't remember it's name lol. Smoothies r yummy as a drink alternative & almost a meal in itself. Coffee & cake excellent sweety too. Beaut outside courtyard if u r in the mood to catch the ellusive rays of sunshine 🌞

While the ambience is pleasant and the decor is modern, we found the food bland and the coffee tasteless. Unlikely to visit again unless the food and coffee focus more on flavour and less on spectacle.
Life Happy
Beautiful coffee, I have ordered a chili scramble taste good . A little bit busy during weekend.
Skye
Very spacious seating and sublime service (even offered to take a group photo when I was out with the girls) !!! Only down side is the cut out of my hip pocket, but the food is definitely worth it
Peter
Get my weekend coffees from here. Can’t go past one of the best coffee beans going around in Toby Estate. Food here is also very good. Always packed.

A humble brunch cafe in Pascoe Vale that does good food and coffee. A nice environment, lovely staff, a good place to hang out and have a chat. Nothing was amazing but it was good quality food with a typical breakfast/lunch menu. I had the pesto gnocchi, the gnocchi was light and tasty but the portion did feel a little small. My partner had ‘The Jack’s Roadhouse’ which was a filling big breakfast and did what a big breakfast was supposed to do.

Oh this is the best cafe in Pasco Vale. They ticked all the boxes! Kids friendly ✅ : they have toys & books for kids , also a little cubby house at the back
Food ✅ : they are very good and actually delicious , they are not just look good but actually very delicious and decent.
Service ✅ : the staffs are friendly and smiley , they are all helpful and helped in choosing menu.
Venue ✅ : easy parking , and toilet clean , changing table for baby . They even provided baby wipes and nappies Incase you forgot to bring one!

Def It’s the go to cafe and jst keep coming back.

Mmm. Normally I love this place but on this occasion they ran out of what I wanted and was not offered any suitable alternative and then they got my order wrong. That was all fine but I think the waitress was not happy with me as when I left to pay she did not even smile, acknowledge my existence or say thank you. My previous experiences were much better so hoping that you guys can improve this service next time.

Nice clean venue with more than 1 room to dine in. Staff were friendly, coffee was perfect & I built my own brekkie which I thoroughly enjoyed. Mushrooms were very tasty, and the butter & sour dough were real- not imitations!

Very cute cafe with a nice atmosphere! Portion sizes are large, and the coffee is great! Best banana bread i've ever eaten too. Highly recommend
Therese Rowan
Absolutely delicious! Had the cookies and cream waffles and they were so good! Would definitely go again when the waffle cravings hit. The atmosphere was great and service was good.

When I woke up this morning, all I could think about was pancakes. It surprised me, too – I’m nothing if not a savoury girl at heart. But I decided to follow my instincts and headed on down to an untried local – because that is what I am trying to do: eat more locally. Crossing the river for a decadent breakfast is fine, but how have I lived for so long in the inner north west and ignored what my backyard has to offer?
Michelle
This place is our local and we visit frequently! Never disappoints. They make perfect coffee every time. Food is fabulous, service always friendly - thank you 😊
Good Food Good Mood
Jack and daisy was the brunch location of choice solely based on its proximity to my friends hairdresser appointment. It worked out well owing to lovely staff and a delicious menu. I didn’t care much for the card surcharge though since I haven’t carried cash for about five years and I don’t think the rest of the world has either.

I ordered the special which was croissant French toast. This was definitely on the small side but was quite delicious nonetheless. I also appreciated the stocking of doughboys donuts and almost indulged but given my decadent breakfast I thought it best to abstain on this occasion. Great little find

I had the superfood salad and it was fairly bland. I order the superfood/healthy bowls at other cafes all the time so I know what to expect. This one tastes like having a few ingredients thrown on a pretty plate with some balsamic vinegar on top. Anyone could do it at home within 5 minutes. My boyfriend had the roadhouse, mushroom and tomatoes are cold but the eggs and bacons are done perfectly. Also, the toilet is filthy.
Cheesy.boys
Great coffee and smoothies as well as very friendly staff. Haven’t eaten but have watched many meals go out and they all look great with generous portions! Worth visiting for sure.
Jroth777
I caught up with a friend here recently. The attentive, friendly staff let us stay until close without pressuring us to leave. We were even offered a free muffin and almond croissant as they began to break down the front of house. I will definitely return soon for a proper meal. Thanks guys.
Nikki
After trying this place 4 years ago and not seeing big deal I tried again and wow I see the big deal now ! Staff are incredible heaps of space and kids toys , food delicious and not stingy ! Had fries and the mushroom and avo bruschetta on whole grain with poached egg! Yummy! Will return and will recommend and would give it a 4.5/5.

Another great little local place in Pascoe Vale. Great selection on the menu. Great coffee beans which makes coffee taste super nice. We have been there a few times now and have tired different things on the menu, I have to say foods are cooked very well, taste is consistent. If you are feeling hungry, then try their "jacks roadhouse", you wont be disappointed, this dish can be for sharing as well. Serving at this place is quite generous, this is great. More of a healthier option, acai bowl pair it with one of their healthy smoothie, just delish. Be there early, as it gets super busy. Otherwise, the downside some of the staff is needs a bit more customer service training, some with no smile or not paying attention.
Ruby-Lee Barry
I had the marinated lamb souvlaki which was kind of dry not amazing. Took awhile to get the waiters attention coffee arrived lukewarm nice atmosphere though

Visited Jack & Daisy on a recent Saturday morning with 3 friends. We were seated pretty much immediately though the café was very busy. Coffee orders were taken fairly quickly after that and they were delicious! All the meals looked lovely and I couldn't finish mine (Jack's Roadhouse.) My companions all enjoyed their choices. The service was great - all staff friendly and smiling - Will return!
Sage Ali
Great place, great atmosphere, great coffee and food and most importantly great service. We keep coming back here and it never lets us down. Fantastic place, highly recommended.

Staff were fantastic! Food was delicious.

The outside area for kids is great - just not very easy to access with a pram due to step. Indoor was very loud so if the weather is nice and you have kids head outside. Overall great cafe.
Leena
I've been there 3 times by now. 2 Barista staff make a lot of effort on coffee and make good latte art that required to wait a while. One barista makes perfect latte👌He makes beautiful creamy latte around noon. Milk for morning strong latte tasted like skinny plain latte twice. The coffee aroma is always fantastic and all staff are great.

It's the people ...

Local hangout. Two shops into one with two section of indoor dining and two outdoor sitting areas; footpath and covered backyard. Spacious, homely, bright and caters to all, most importantly operated by this super friendly and pleasant team.

Toby's Estate coffee beans and matt Black timber trimmed La Marzocco, $3.80 latte is about average Melbourne cafe.

Food wise, no Big Breakfast type, instead pick a "base" dish then add, lots of optional/additional condiments on the Brunch Menu, average around $18-20.00.
Well made layered Omelette and scrumptious unseasoned Chicken Schnitzel in a Turkish bread the $14.00 Snitzwalla + $2.00 chips.

A local Pascoe Vale hangout with super friendly and pleasant team. Quickly popped in for a take away coffee during work. Staff were friendly service was quick. Probably the best coffee I’ve had in a long time! Keen to try the food next time

I am a coffee drinker and this has got to be hands down my favourite coffee! Amazing service and food too! Definitely will come back! Would recommend to anyone
We8melbourne
We’ve been to this place before and didn’t really impress me as it did this time around. The Acai Bowl was absolutely perfect and we really didn’t want it to end. The coffee is great and service has definitely improved since the last time. Would definitely go back for the Acai Bowl.
Memtree
Love the plants, great atmosphere and service. Plus the food was divine! Had the spring special which I highly recommend! Their fresh chai latte was made well too. A really enjoyable brunch spot and popular too!

We've dined here soooooooooooo many times and each time forgotten to add a review! Firstly, the service here is tops. Staff are uber friendly and always helpful with our bub in the car calsule or pram. Secondly, the coffee is Incredible. In the past 10+ occasions, every latte and cappuccino has been brilliant. And finally, the food! The supergood salad, the adds benedict, the avo and smoked salmon....it's all great! See you all again next weekend!
Kiwi Living In The Big Smoke
Been here twice and the food is awesome. Good portion size and coffee is so good. Staff are always friendly and quick. Close to home so will be a regular here 😊
Jane Gardner
Lovely food, great coffee and friendly service set this little place apart from the pack. It does get very busy on a Saturday and Sunday, but that said, we've never waited more than 10 minutes for a table. Try the eggs benny. A good, dependable neighbourhood weekend brunch staple.
Michael Lake
We arrived for breakfast without a booking on Fathers Day and the very professional floor staff found us a table for 2. Canadian ricotta hot cakes were sensational! Great coffee food service. Will definitely be back.
Rahul Shah
Amazing food and great service. Ordered Mexican rice, it was great. Definitely recommend this place and I will be coming back to try other dishes.

Conveniently located just down the road from work, I find myself frequenting this hidden gem on Cumberland Rd most weeks.

The Jack and Daisy Superfood Salad with chicken is hard to look past when those midday hunger pangs start to creep up - My only criticism would be the downsize in portion over the last few months.

The staff are always warm, friendly and attentive, and did I mention the coffee? Consistently great coffee, one of the best in the area.

Not only is it my regular work spot, I have also used Jack & Daisy's multiple times for catering personal events. The events manager Eugene is very accommodating to your requirements and guests have nothing but positive feedback every time!

Parking can be difficult, best to try and snag a spot down a side street..... well worth the effort!
Fourfiveone
Mostly go for the egg, bacon and avo roll its damm fine just like the coffee and service is awesome too... I would recommend anyone feeling a little hungry to try out there great menu....

Had lunch at this place and the food/ service was 10/10. I feel as though I need to write this and don't intend this to come across in a negative way however the bathrooms and parents rooms are filthy. I don't mean the toilet bowls I mean the walls, doors, change table. Hoping this gets some TLC.
Bj
This cafe is always a joy. Whether you pop in just to pick up a coffee on the way to work or having a sitting down breakfast the staff are always warm, friendly and attentive. The food and coffee is also top rate. Keep up the great work guys.

This place has been on my hitlist for a while. So got to finally try it out.

Staff were so lovely. Service was quick and the waiters were very attentive. Coffee was great, just a little too hot. Not burnt, just hot.

As for the food. The flavours were pretty good. Just wish my burger had a little more sauce. Or more cheese.

Fries were ok. Too many little pieces as seen in the photos added. Either need longer cut fries or maybe switching over to thick cut chips.

But overall happy with our visit here. Will be back. Gotta try their waffles.
Biscuit Jeff
Have been to Jack and Daisy time and time again (at least double figures). Very good food and coffee. Never disappoints. Perhaps the best part is the service. They are friendly and attentive staff and you always leave satisfied.
The thickshakes are good, but my highlight is the Daisy's Favourite dish. A brilliant mix of elements!
Simmyeats.Melb
Was in my old neighbourhood and thought I'd pop in for a coffee. The cafe was pumping and jam packed which was great to see. The coffee was very nice and the staff are always amazing. I've eaten here in the past and I recommend the food.
Sumi
The coffee and friendly, attentive service is the highlight of this local cafe. We had the "Jacks" and the "Daisy" and, whilst filling, it was nothing noteworthy or as innovative as one might expect from the dish which bears the same name as the restaurant. I went back for the eggs benedict which was slightly more innovative. I'll keep going back for the coffee.
Jessi
The menu is limited but nice. Great set up inside, will head back to try other meals on the menu. The breakfasts especially are great. Love the milkshakes!
Rebecca
If I have one regret, it's that I didn't try this cafe sooner! The menu, the staff and the service are all outstanding, and not to mention how amazing their coffee is! This little brunch spot has a hint of class whilst still encompassing a home-like feel. I can't wait to return.. their coffee is calling my name!
Monica Gauci
Really yummy food. Great service and a very spacey little cafe. The beetroot relish was actually really nice for someone who doesn't like beetroot and the salmon was very fresh.
MGeorgeC
Coffee was very good, toastie was crisp and fresh, nice use of chives! The service was ok, however, the dining room needed a bit more light inside. Overall, I would go back.
Roy Batty
This Cafe has been a consistent lunch provider to me for the last 3 years.

Great friendly service, solid lunch menu is my favorite.

The family love it, recommended
Our Foodie Finds
Located off a relatively busy Cumberland Road in Pascoe Vale, Jack & Daisy blends perfectly into its surroundings by the subtle accents and presence of its store front. You wouldn't know its there had it not been for the patrons coming and going constantly which mostly consists of locals.

As we walked into this vibrant and warm cafe, we couldn't help notice not only the diversity of cultures of the staff/kitchen which were all quite young and attractive, both male and female. They genuinely appeared to enjoy working there which was an odd thing to observe but very much appreciated as we've had our fair share of experiences being served by zombies who just want their shift to finish even though ut just started. The decor and layout was on point too that had that old brunswick style cafe feel about it and was spacious.

We arrived around 10.30am so we tucked into the breakfast menu which is available all day everyday. Came here with our mom who ordered the nutella pancake stack with vanilla bean ice cream, berries & hazelnut crumble $18.5. Visually pretty with the taste, we guess it was just OK as they pancakes were quite heavy and dry which could've done with a syrup of sorts rather than nutella. Syrup would lift the dish visually too but we guess its just preference from our journeys around.

We ordered eggs benedict with slow cooked pulled pork & ham hock + apple cider hollandaise $17.5 and added the potato & leek rosti for $3.5. Great combination of flavours and textures but really needed a good crack of seasoning, well maybe a little more than a crack. Same went for the "daisys” poached eggs, smoked salmon, herbed fetta, smashed avocado & lady relish on multigrain $18.5. We can't stress enough for chefs to taste their food! You know hoe you want the dish to taste to season it! We ordered the extra side of pan fried haloumi $4.5 which was on point. Delicious!

A few strong coffees ordered too $3.8, though, not strong at all and we couldn't be bothered complaining or getting a new one. You either know how to make coffee or you're just too intrigued in making froth art. Next time though we'll have to request it as at $0.50c extra for an extra shot, we're not in the business to not get what we pay for.

The machine at the register broke down on our way out so we ended up reconfirming our meal with a clearly quite flustered staff member who definitely wasnt the owner. Just didnt have "owner" vibe by the way he was dealing with the problem. Interesting if it was the owner but either way would suggest they at least apologise to customers for the inconvenience. These things happen so its important to deal with it in a way that makes customers feel at ease. Anyhow, besides this, its a nice little cafe and worth the visit. Till next time, this is Our Foodie Find!

After too many average coffees from the cafe close to my workplace I've started taking the 5-10 minute detour past J&D for my morning coffee. Delicious each and every time and makes the Bell St commute much more enjoyable :)
Staff are always friendly and efficient.
Adam
Excellent, chilled breakfast/brunch restaurant! Great selections and food is quality! For $20 you can easily have two items and be full as a boot! The big knock back as it gets busy very quickly around 9am so book in advanced and enjoy the food. Staff friendly and classy!
Wishna
Cute little place in the burbs for the locals. Food is pretty good and staff and quite nice. Only thing we had an issue with was getting the attention of wait staff to get more water.
Mad Lamb
This place is a such a cute local joint. Reasonable prices, burgers are well portioned and French fries have plenty of seasoning. We had the "Schnitzwalla" (crumbed chicken schnitz with coleslaw in Turkish bread) and "The Notorious" (lemon & thyme grilled chicken burger) and both were awesome! Definitely do another visit for breakfast next time :)
Wafa
The chicken super salad is great. Family friendly with indoor and outdoor entertainment for the little ones. A little difficult with prams as there's a step between each room however staff have been very willing to help.

The let down for me was when I asked if the bread had egg and staff were not able to provide me
With a answer. Meant my little one with allergies couldn't really eat much.

Sienna Abby
It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. My food was a bit burnt and presentation was sloppy
It was as if they took it out of the microwave then threw t on the plate. Won't be coming back again. Over priced, unenjoyable meal.
Sofia Weskamp
Amazing coffee, great food, staff is really friendly and great atmosphere! Kid friendly! Cubby house, toys inside and out, love this place!
Dale Zeinheiger Culpin
Awesome cafe. Their big brekky is pretty solid and they do a mean coffee. Could be the best in Pascoe Vale that I've been to. Eggs always cooked perfect.
Moetfan
👍 Really friendly cheerful staff
👎Quite expensive. The special I ordered was OK but the poached egg was not quite cooked enough and the white was still a bit clear. I don't think the egg really went well on top of the bruschetta.
💁Will I go back...? Hmmm maybe-the staff were really lovely, the coffee was great but the food was mediocre.
Steph
A regular place for my cousin and I to catch up over great food & coffee. The staff are always so nice. Food is always fresh & beautifully tasting. One of my favourite places!
Diamond Nuts
Quick coffee and bacon and egg roll this morning. Friendly staff, Herald Sun to read, water provided. No complaints an old favorite, recommended.
The Lionking Diner
Borderline place, touch & go... Pancakes today were terrible, but they the standard stuff well... Not much else in the area eyyy... Wont be back in a rush
Sophie Stephens
Been here a few times, food and coffee is always good. It's a bit hard to get a seat on the weekend and the food may be a little slow but to be expected when it's busy. The two versions of the big breakfast are both awesome and they are always helpful in making my order veggie. Favourite cafe around here :)
Foodie87
Very nice cafe, really enjoyed their coffees and food. The service staff were really friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. It's a little hard to find parking as on street parking has a lot of restrictions
Andrew
Came here with a large group for breakfast and overall I was happy.
Coffee was really nice and the food was cooked well.
We were upstairs as a few had children and the room could do with a touch up as it is a little run down looking.
I would eat here again.
Yolande
Great food great ambience! Food took a bit long but it was busy a busy day so that is understandable. Servings were pretty decent and food really enjoyable. Would recommend!
Yul
I've tried a dessert and a coffee and they were really good.i like the little backyard outside for the little ones. Friendly staff , good location. Great prices

Excellent joint!
100%
Friendly and beautiful staff
Fantastic eggs benedict not to mention the great coffee
Caitlin
Great place to eat! Great atmosphere. Great food. Great staff. This place is our go-to place and we know we're always going to enjoy the food and service here.
William Hasnever
Great coffee. Great atmosphere. Amazing staff. Nice food. The prices are a little steep. Maybe a bit too pretentious for what you get but never dissatisfied when you leave.
Generous Serve
Escaped the rain outside for lunch in here. Coffees were good- yes my SFW was extra hot (thanks guys!). I had the eggs Benedict with pulled pork, on top of a slice of ciabatta and extra spinach on the side. The French handbag had the lamb skewers on a bed of tabouli. Mine was great, eggs poached perfectly and pulled pork nice and juicy. Did my best To finish it. The other half unfortunately lucked out again with the lamb before overlooked and missing the slightly pink bit on the inside. Meat was too chewy on the skewer. Should just be a one off mistake as the food is usually spot on in here.
Teomelvin39
Food: Eggs Benedict with pulled pork was slightly above average. Though I would ask for more flavour and cook a little longer for the pulled pork. Till now, I was unsure if the hollandaise sauce actually compliment the pulled pork flavour. It seems they were separate entities. With the potato and leek rosti, the cup size serve was unjust. It was full of salt and slightly over-fried. It tasted very good but where was the leek?

Drink: bold, flavoursome, cocoa coffee. Impressed!

Service: Polite and friendly. They were spontaneous and knew what we were after.

*Love the "man relish" on its own. Haven't tried pairing with other food.
LeeshsSugarHigh
A regular stop for a very early Sunday morning breaky, Jack and Daisy's quality of food and coffee is consistently great. We are often there before the kitchen is open, but we're always welcome in to order a coffee while we wait. I cant recall ever having a meal I didn't enjoy here, and I have ordered as much off the menu as the specials board. My most recent visit I ordered the pancakes and they were delicious! There are rules written on the menu around no menu changes and no split bills but if you find yourself needing anything particular the staff have been more than willing to do what they can.
Thooha Saleem
Consistently good coffee and tasty food. Service is friendly and the so spacious inside! Their croissants are so fluffy and buttery and it's an enjoyable place to sit and have lunch.
S
Good place for kids. Coffee and food good, something for everyone on the menu. Can be very busy for lunch on weekends, which makes for slow service but if you are prepared to relax, and bring things for kids to do, it's great.
WALLFISH_
The Squirrel and i have been here a number of times. Always a good choice for a quick brunch without having to worry about travelling too far. The coffee is good. I like the menu. Plenty of choice and a nice list of extras to choose from. Even has a fun police rules section. I like it! All at reasonable prices. The food has never disappointed and the platoon of staff are very friendly. Recommended.
Jasmine
Our first time after hearing and reading good reviews and we'll be back. Sat out in the courtyard so our son could run a muck in the cubby and had a lovely time! Food was delicious, menu was varied enough, staff were on point & friendly.
FoodingAroundMelbourne
A staple in the area, Jack and Daisys has been kind to me. Consistenly good coffee and tasty food. Regularly have a great special to try. They also have a cubby house and play area out the back for kidlets
Barry Hughes
Good coffee, Very poor service, ended up walking out and ate at home. We had menu's on the table and no one bothered to take the order, plenty of chatting thou (STAFF). They did not realise we had not eaten, paid for the coffee and left :( very sad experience, don't think I'll be going again!!!!!
IloveMelbourne
Coffee is always good here. Staff are very friendly. There is not a long wait for coffee considering the place is busy most mornings. Its a great place to have in Pascoe Vale for the locals.
ThePrestonProwler
Those fries.... Yep they can't be missed. Get on them. All round good experience here. Really nice food and friendly atmosphere. Milkshake was really tasty and the meals hit the spot
The Frugal Cats
Jack & Daisy is one of our favourite local cafes. The food is constantly good and so is the customer service . This place offers one of the best chai lattes and coffees in Melbourne. The specials on the menu keep changing which makes one's eating experience ever interesting. Today we had the vanilla bean pancake stack with fresh berries, honeycomb whipped cream and maple syrup. The dish was flawless and a perfect 5 out of 5. We also tried one of the weekend specials, the vietnamse bahn mi baguette with pork belly, fried eggs, sriracha aioli, pickled carrots, cucumber and coriander. The juices are very nice too with the 'giddy up' being our go to one. This place can get really busy during peak meal times on weekends but the wait is always worth it. Overall, we highly recommend this place :3
Astrogirl
Good service, good coffee, good food. Good atmosphere - the right tone for a breaky/brunch place. Will definitely come back. So far the best place we've tried in the area.
Plaunge
Very friendly cafe, lovely and prompt service, food was excellent (poached eggs were spot on) and good coffee. Excellent and worth the visit!
Melbourne Vegetarian
Good place, good coffee, good food and good customer service.
Definitely a nice place to catch up with friends.
have to mention one of their staff name Karl.
He is the best! !
Meg H
Pretty nice place, coffees and food came quite quickly. Unfortunately my chai latte was a bit of a let down. the thai fish cakes were a tad dry, the chicken snitzel was a little over cooked and even though we specifically asked for butter on toast, it still came out dry.Everything was still pretty tasty and the staff were nice. Very kid friendly place. Will probably give it another chance.
B M
Great food, good service. Love the porridge (especially with almond milk). A family favourite. FYI.. to enter you have to go up a step and the front door is HEAVY. More stairs to head out to the courtyard. Very inaccessible for wheelchairs users or others with mobility issues.
Paige Bonnici
We ordered the avocado with mushroom bruschetta, feta, poached eggs with bacon for one of the add ons...they brought out the wrong meal and both had bacon and scrambled eggs. We told them that wasn't what we ordered. Within 1 minute the manager/possible owner came out and sincerely apologized and took our drinks off the bill. We got the correct meals second time round within 5 minutes and my oh my did my tastebuds have a boogie. It was delicious. Thank you for your service, you definitely redeemed yourself!
Food Critic
Great atmosphere, great service. Not too great food. Ordered the smash and received stale bread. Was a let down.. Will be back to reevaluate!
Thosemelbournianfoodies
Jack and Daisy is a nice local café in the North. We have been a few times and have ordered eggs cooked in various ways and in particular 'The Smash'. The breakfast is rather tasty. The staff are all friendly and polite. The coffee is unfortunately a let down. #thosemelbournianfoodies

A great experience all round! I have been here multiple times and have always had an enjoyable time. The foods great and the staff are super lovely! What more could you want?!

This is our favorite place! Just a magnificent café to chill. The service is always wonderful.
The owners and staff constantly provide an exceptional customer service and are always very welcoming.

We are big coffee lovers and I can say that the coffee here is perfect! I’m a regular here
and will continue to be. I absolutely highly recommend JDs.

Honey Bear and Crew..........

Fantastic food always fresh and very polite and friendly staff that are always more then willing to serve, u get greeted as soon as u walk in and adding or subtracting from the main menu to suit your needs is never a problem.
Mahs
I've heard multiple times that this cafe is really nice for breakfast or brunch, so i just had to try it out. As soon as i arrived and got seated i could straight away tell how good the service was as all the waiters and waitresses where very attentive and helpful, definitely loved the service.

As i was here at lunch time i decided to have the notorious burger with fries. The burger had a really nice flavour and i have to say that the melted tasty cheese accompanied the burger perfectly. The skinny herbed fries where also awesome.
Julide Turker Naturopathy
Beautiful ambience. Dinner by small gas lamps. Veg options available. Friendly waiters & waitresses. Soup and sour dough bread divine. Definitely recommend
Mark
Ordered a latte. The cashier didn't return my change but instead kept it for herself--without so much as a word. Won't be going back there.
Cravats82
This place is awesome! The coffee is always spot on, they even give you a shot of sparkling mineral water to cleanse your palate if you are an espresso drinker like myself. There are new fresh juices on the menu and always new specials to keep you coming back. The food is amazing and well presented and the staff are wonderful, happy and friendly and I think reading a few reviews from people that some of them need to relax! It's brunch after all.... Not fine dining with silver service, just some young people having a good!! Give them a break and get in and see what it's all yourself.
Paul
This place is not the go... The only reason it is busy is because it has no competition...as soon as someone who has an idea of cafe hospitality industry will open down the road or next door it will find it hard to keep its clientele... Service staff is ok... But they drop plates on people ... I know mistakes happen but.... Let's check the food out.... Plates a wrong, too small and the bottom of the plate ring is tiny.. So when your cutting your bread or bacon, the plate leans and food slips off the plate... portions are ok... Food was ok but nothing special.... Tables are small for functions and if it is cold, get heating in the back room....a little heater is so not sufficient....our meals become cold and coffee were cold...sorry guys... Use it as constructive criticism....

Worst service I have EVER encountered!!!these young people seem like they've never worked in hospitality and/or on their first day ever!been here twice, same both times, wrong orders, food gone to other tables, coffee order forgotten..hopeless!never going there again...and they don't care, most shoddily run cafe I've ever been to!

Food & service steadily declined to the point of no return! Toast was so rock hard I couldn't bite through the crust, eggs were more like soft boiled instead of poached, fries are better at the arches and it took 4 attempts & almost an hour to get a babycino and 2 soy hot chocolates right! I haven't enjoyed a meal here since they took the beans off the menu. Bye bye Jack & Daisy.
Never again!. Our breakfast was delivered to another table. After another customer queried the order, the kitchen realised their mistake and apologised to both tables , they dutifully returned our breakfast to the kitchen. Only to have it return to our table a few minutes later. On showing my concern I was advised that this was not the returned breakfast , but a new meal!! Unfortunately my meal wasn't even hot. I have no doubt that I received a meal served to another patron ..

I visited on a Saturday afternoon for coffee/lunch. I thought I was at a cafe turns out it was a crèche. Never again.

Great coffee, great service, good food. Has an outdoor section for the kids to play. Best coffee in the area.
