Love the decor , lake view and food :)
It's like dining by the bay literally... The cove has a lovely outdoor and indoor setting. I always like to sit right near the water and have a Parma. Finally a place you can sit next to the water without having to spend $100 on steak like the beachy suburbs.
Been here several times and always enjoyed the food and ambiance here. They have a pretty good seafood and cocktail collection, but it's a little on the pricey side.
Dined here for a family birthday lunch today. Big group of 13 adults & 3 kids. We sat in the undercover outdoor heated area on a long table. Lovely view of the water & marina. Food was delicious & service friendly also. I enjoyed the garlic/cheese pizza & mac/cheese croquettes for entree & the chilli/garlic prawns for main. I also had 2 mojito cocktails which were well made. All others enjoyed their meals also. We bought a cake for dessert & were charged $10 cakeage fee (pre-advised) which is very reasonable. Overall a great venue for a lunch outing & would return again.
Lovely ambiance, great location, nice food. Have been here a couple of times with friends and have had same lovely experience. Would come again.
Hadn't been here in years so thought would check it out on a beautiful, semi warm night on the deck.
We had calamari, cove burger and shared the brownie for dessert. Drinks were furphy stubbies and a mojito.
Best part of our meal was the mojito. Very well made, could've used more ice though.
The calamari was ok but the seasoning was way too powerful and the sauce served with it was bland.
The burger was quite nice but not very juicy.
Brownie was ok, quite a small piece and then 2 large bits of rhubarb with marshmallow cream. Wouldn't order it again but would come back to try other things on the menu that looked good as they came out of the kitchen ie steaks and the curry

We had the baguette as a starter then the shared paella and then for dessert we had banoffe with Carmelized banana, peanut brittle and chantilly cream to share. Great service, great food, will be back! Thanks guys.
Fantastic food and service for a Saturday night. The lovely waitress that served us was exceptional. Only wish I got her name so I could pass on what a great job she did to Management!
I absolutely adore this place, quite a romantic setting where you can sit on the marina and eat dinner over the water or sit inside near the wine bar! Absolutely stunning service is good, food is fantastic! Meat platter is generous for its price and the salmon was fantastic good food for its value definitely will go back

Good service and excellent menu, superbly executed. The Deck is absolutely lovely and is a great place to bring interstate friends for lunch or dinner, good pricing leaning to the upper end but well worth the investment.
Every time we're near this area, we always have lunch here as it's consistent & the staff are wonderful. But, the meals were slightly off the mark this time. My pork belly was delicious enough, but please please make sure there is crackling? It was soggy & very chewy. My partners chicken salad was far too herby for want of a better word. She actually couldn't eat most of it. Not sure if they've changed chefs, but just under par this time.
Enjoyed a lovely truffle dinner here on Wednesday night, food was to die for!! Staff and the private dining room were amazing, will definitely be back!
My husband and I went to the Truffle Dinner last night and it was amazing. The presentation , flavors and wine matching were spot on. Thanks to Dan McAlpine and Billy for a wonderful experience .
A beautiful restaurant overlooking the lake at Patterson. The menu looked remarkable but slightly overpriced. But well worth since the food was very flavoursome. The cocktails were wonderful and great for a 40degree day. 🍸🍻
The food is certainly always good here and I have had most of its menu. Flounder and salmon is amazing and crab baguette is yum. Love that they have a variety of flavors for oysters too plus the Cove desert for 2 is the best desert on the list. Only thing that let's it down is the service. I have never been asked if I would like the bill or would I like another drink. Been many times and not one staff member has ever asked. Seems like a lack of hospitality training. I always end up walking to counter to pay now or grabbing a waiter for another drink. This is even when their not busy. So sorry to say but only 4 stars due to service.

Came here for a birthday dinner catchup with mate. Have been here a few years ago and had a great experience and wanted to try it again but it feels like the service and the quality of food has dropped a little in that time.
We ordered bruschetta to share and then fish and chips and Chicken Caesar salad for mains.
The bruschetta was nice, they were good serving sizes and nice and fresh.
The fish and chips were ok, the salad was very small and underwhelming. The chips were average but the fish was nice and overall there was a good portion size with 3 fillets of fish and plenty of chips. The aioli was also nice although the overall presentation was lacking.
The chicken caesar salad was presented well and had a very good serving size of salad however if only had 1 breast piece of chicken which was cooked well.
Overall this wasn't the best experience here. the food was nice however it was also quite pricey for bistro food aiming to be an
upmarket bistro that lacked the required service and quality for the price. The big win for the cove was the serving sizes!
I've been here twice now and both times have been good. I've received good service from the friendly wait staff and have always been seated right near the water, which is lovely day or night. The food is very typical of pub/rsl food with reasonably large potions and chips, lots of chips. If you are looking for a casual place to eat out in the Patterson Lakes area I would suggest giving The Cove a go. Even if you don't like it, it's not overly expensive.
Haven't been to the restaurant part, but have enjoyed a few meals from the sportsbar / lounge area and they were a great price for a great meal.
We booked The Brasserie for a family celebration and had the 3 course 'indulgence' menu, which is in reality about 9 different plates of a variety of dishes. This 'parade' of delicious food throughout the evening was more than enough and we were all holding our bellies at the end. The service was flawless; friendly, obliging and professional. We will be back for more.
A great place for casual dining with friends and family. Lovely sitting inside or on the deck. Menu is great and always tastes great. Think I've tried everything by now and haven't been let down.
Take family here all the time, we love the staffs great service and friendly demeanour, food always consistent, my daughter always enjoys the pancakes & hot chocolates on Sunday morning!

Great Evening. Dined at the Cove Hotel last night and we loved it. The food was fantastic and the cocktails where delishious and the staff are happy and very accomadating
Great place. Had lunch at The Cove' today. Wonderful service by Dan, and Krissy. Fast and friendly service. had the San Choy Bow for entree and the eye fillet for main. Perfectly cooked steak and the entree was fresh and well presented. My partner loved the prawn toast and the pork belly. Lovely atmosphere and a beautiful venue. Will definitely be back and will certainly be recommending to friends and family.
A great experience again, this was my third visit and all have been great. Welcomed as we walked in and shown to our table by a lovely fella. Food was tasty and if their seafood platter is on the specials board do yourself a favour and order it. Can't wait to go back
Great sunday lunch - quick service and friendly staff. Based on the reviews we weren't expecting much - but was very impressed.

Great experience. Just a quick review to complement the staff and food at the Cove Hotel Patterson Lakes. We had a family outing there and were most impressed with the attentiveness of our wait staff, speed of service (it was pretty busy too), tasty food and comfy, cozy decor. I wasn't expecting the world but came away telling people about how good it was. Kudos to the management and staff.
Went to the Cove restaurant last night with some of the family (6) in total. Found the table service fast and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. This wife and I had the seafood platter which was excellent and all the necessary equipment was provided. The others had parma, pepper squid all commented how tender and tasty. The girls all had desert meringue and pineapple tart (freshly made) loved them both. Drinks and meals around the $60 per person. We all enjoy it.
Enjoyable Meal. We had the Jumbo Agnolotti and Pork Belly. Both dishes were very good. Generous serves, clean flavours and well presented. Service was friendly and generally efficient. We waited a while for our first drinks but were offered a complimentary coffee to apologise (we did not complain, the staff just noticed we had waited too long). Possibly a little pricey given the pub/club atmosphere but will definitely go back.
Nice food. Had lunch here today and service and food were fine. My companion had a chicken schnitzel (ie like every other chicken schnitzel) but I had lamb ragu pappardelle which was absolutely delicious. I would give it 10/10 just for that dish. Can't comment on anything else, though.

Great location, great Parma , veggies on both occasions a bit undercooked. Service great overall from lovely staff aoart apart from a snooty tall dark haired girl behind the bar who could improve her game & at least acknowledge you instead of carrying on private conversations. . Lots of bogans walk thru the outdoor area en route to bar/tab on a Saturday so either enjoy the entertainment or pick a spot away from that area. Overall it's a great place to eat and we will go again.
Been here many times over the years, the new look is a lot nicer than the old out dated decor, service is a hit or a miss but never had any problems. Food is always good but a little pricey!
Lunch review. My wife and I decided on going past the Cove to drop in for lunch, we used to frequent here years ago, but the standards had dropped , Well to our delight the meal standard was excellent, I ordered the calamari and my wife the fish and chips both were cooked to perfection we have made a booking for Mothers Day it was so good, standards are back!!
I love the Cove. Have been here twice nice and the food is fabulous. The San Choy Bau is delicious, fresh and has amazing flavours. The gnocchi was also delicious, and the rocket, pear and Parmesan salad is amazing!
I tried the Squealing Pig Sav Blanc as a recommendation from the waiter and it was beautiful (from a fussy wine drinker).
The restaurant itself is beautiful to sit in, open to the water.

Wow! What a difference the cove has become. The decor is great and the only negative was the wait for table which was strange considering there were heaps of tables empty. The food was much improved and I love that its now table service. My favourite was the tapas chorizo and cheese croquette! Very child friendly also with staff providing colouring pencils n paper.
Reinvented. The Cove has really turned around, interior has been updated and more importantly something has changed in the kitchen. It has gone from hit & miss on the food to being rock solid. This is all combined with a great location, putting some craft beers on tap would top things off.

Yes it is truely great amazing view and extraordinary menu with and wait for it full table service. A pub with bling. And chef to match..... Ignore those other ealier reviews this pub wont let u down if looking for a great lunch meal mid week.. Booking recommended
The place has really lifted its standard! Food was lovely and the same as you would pay at the Chelsea pub.
Staff were lovely and very attentive, decor is relaxed and modern.
Will definitely be returning!

It's one of our top choices for dessert, as the prices are excellent, with pleasant water views, Sunday live music, ambient lighting, and service has improved. I have enjoyed this place increasingly.
My partner and I visited The Cove for lunch, and were seated on the deck outside which was amazing. The service was more than helpful, and the food was delightful. I had the cesar salad with chicken, and hubby had the Parma. Both amazing. Made our 1 year anniversary one to remember. We will be definately coming back!
Just got back from here - food was pretty good, but the service was slow and crap. Waited at least half an hour for our entree garlic bread!!
We celebrated Mother’s Day and we had nice time, the special menu was so tasty.. I loved it it was lamb pie with sweet potato. The people very kind and the service was quick.
Staff were super friendly and managed to squeeze us in for a early lunch. Gluten-free menu and Vegan menu is large and good value. I enjoyed a pub classic Parma. Wife had gluten free calamari. Perfectly cooked and hot to boot! Thanks team we will be back many times for sure!!! 😋😋

The Sri Lankan chicken curry for $28 on the other hand was over inflated in price but nice.
The Polanto fries were a good tasty light entree addition.
Good sized meals reasonable value. There for lunch not to busy. Battered fish and fries were ok but a bit oily.
