Review Romano's By The Harbour - Patterson Lakes

Spring has finally kicked in! A perfect day to have breakfast - fruit toast, granola and cappuccino - at Romano's by the Harbour.

A cut above the rest... More than a Cafe but prices under fine Dining. Just what our area needed. Unique Coffee from the heart of Italy and a Delicatley though out Menu. Staff are friendly and the ambience provides a buzz by the water. Best Cafe between Mornington and Mordialloc!

I went here with my partner based on the good reviews and the water front view. Been by the water / view was all it had going for it in our experience. Milkshakes were a decent size, but not enough ice-cream and flavour was average. Coffee didn't end up coming till the end of the meal, we cancelled it in the end. Breakfast burger was below average, service was poor and the lady serving us was a little intimidating, they didn't know what we ordered on checkout. Overall very poor.

Be there on a Sunday afternoon (3-5pm) for the amazing view, great coffee and great live music by Jostan Murray and Glen.

Such an awesome little cafe! The food was excellent and the atmosphere is always relaxing. The last time we were there we even saw a seal playing in the harbour! They also have an array of entertainment on throughout the week and weekend.

Awful experience today. New staff and no Manager on site. Ordered 2 iced coffees no cream and got premixed rubbish. Young staff refused to change them as "you've already had some" so we cancelled or lunch order paid for the awful iced coffees and left (never to return).

So hit and miss this place. Keep going back because I normally love the french toast and the view. Young staff are lovely. The two mature women, who obviously tag team on the roster, must have missed the training session on customer service!

Great little place. The staff are friendly, drinks are at reasonable prices and the view is beautiful. The live music on a Sunday afternoon was very good, with a lovely singer and the volume was just right.
