Review Pennant Hills Bowling Club - Pennant Hills

Rob Collins
We enjoyed our lunch in our first visit. Wide and varying selections available in the menu to please most people. Popular beer is available on tap. A number of different dining areas with views over the bowling greens. Our meals were cooked perfectly and full of flavour look forward to our next visit

Food VERY average after the new change over. Such a shame as we used to go 2/3 times a week for our meals. Poor quality frozen garbage with no pride or flavour. We now go to the blue gum which sure is a little more pricey but we are happy to pay for a good meal. Sick of coming here and hoping they have learnt from the little amount of customers they now get, but still hardly any customers there of a night for dinner and that’s for obvious reasons. Good location though just really really bad food. Get chef Ramsey in!

This is a great place to take your partner or family out for a meal staff are professional and meals are great value and consistently good . The atmosphere hear is nice even though it’s a big space. They have a lift hear if you need it and a great kids play ground .

Usually the menu/ food is a very good standard but unfortunately the burger tonight wasn't nice ...possibly there has been a change in the chief/ restaurant owners ..have been going there for meal for over 10 years on a fortnightly basis and havent been disappointed before ...generally a wonderful place to have a meal ...staff are still very hpspitable and friendly ...might just have been the meat ordered 😔 I will always be going to the club as it is local and friendly

Reading through past reviews I notice that it is apparently a 'new' menu - yet it is archaic. Vegetarian options were barely there, and the vegetable stack consisted of two 1990s style 'vege burgers' - i.e. mashed potato, peas and corn in a crumb - with two of the thinnest slivers of eggplant imaginable - where were the grilled vegetables that were described in the menu? The 'tahini sauce' mentioned in the menu was simply a dollop of raw tahini from the jar - which is not how it's meant to be eaten, it was disgusting. Nothing at all on the menu for vegan clientele. There were 4 'salad' options - which were simply 4 different cold meats, one option was with a packet of deep-fried noodles - not a lettuce leaf among any of them. No wonder there were so many empty tables - perhaps bringing the menu up to date might help - and actually serving what is described in the menu!
