Corridor Restaurant had an extensive menu of locally sourced produce. Our hosts were really friendly and we had a great chat with them. The kangaroo Island kingfish was delicious. My partner had the traditional fish and chips. He says he thinks it was the best he has had. Our friends had the steak and were impressed at how perfectly cooked it was. For dessert we had pavlova which was handmade and beautifully fluffy. We would definitely recommend and would come again next time we are on the island. Ten out of ten points!
A small and lovely restaurant in the main KI town of Penneshaw. Owned by a very pleasant elder couple the service was very good (prom and on point), while the food tasted terrific. We had the fish soup for main and also a small set of fish and chips for appetiser. Naturally, late at night and towards the end of the winter season, the restaurant wasn’t very busy which leads me to the one point I would like to see adressed for the restaurant to receive a top score (5): Coziness - Dampen the lights slightly to increase the atmosphere even further and play some appropriate music in the background. Consider further decorating/furbishing the walls and restaurant to increase the atmosphere. While lovely, it felt a bit bare. If you want a tasty and reasonably priced meal in Penneshaw I can warmly recommend The Corridor.
