Review Henri Marc Cafe - Penrith

Loved this! My husband took me here for a birthday brunch and we were not disappointed! It had some great vegan and vegetarian options as well as the classic breakfast/brunch options but with a twist. Will definitely be going back to explore more of the menu!

My favourite cafe! The food is always exceptional, I've been eating here for 9years and I'm never disappointed! Great coffee and the best sourdough. Love the decor and vibe. Can't recommend highly enough

Delicious meals that were worth the money, with great coffee, great service and an all round excellent vibe. I had the Chicken Congee which was like a vietnamese savoury rice pudding with poached chicken breast and a poached egg mixed through and I loved it. My wife had the Eggs Benedict with cured salmon which was excellent. We finished with a slice of the gluten free loaf and the way the cultured butter melted through the loaf was amazing.

Beautiful nicely decorated Cafe, wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food and coffee is always delicious and yummy. Inside is decorated kinda antique style but very stylish with fresh green plants and comfy seating with pillows. Bathrooms upstairs. Vegan vegetarian options and they are amazing!!! Thank you

Had a tasty brunch at Henri Marc last week... Eggs Benny for me - complete with button mushrooms and choice of Ham, Bacon or Salmon. The other half had the Braised Brisket roll w pickles ... two rounds of coffee :) Staff were very helpful, very popular spot for a catchup!

Customer service and attention was prompt and friendly. I ordered the eggplant salad. Food was ok. Loved the beef roll. I'd go back again.

My partner and I had a perfect scrambled eggs on toast as well as a fantastic semolina porridge here. Everything on the menu was enticing and inspired. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We’re looking forward to coming back for breakky soon!

I ordered eggs Benny and was quite disappointed. The eggs were hard boiled... Overall it was a very simple sandwich - bread, egg and bacon. Not worth $20. Not sure if this was this dish only as the food people had on table next to me looked much better than mine.

Really delicious yummy fresh food the nicest breakfast food I've had for a very very long time def the best cafe food anyway out west big fan will be back again soon

Very cool cafe with a great atmosphere adding to the growing hipster food vibe in Penrith. Good coffee and food. Great place for a Sunday brunch.

Finally I got to eat awesome poached eggs that didn’t smell on vinegar. And the waffle was so fluffy on the inside with a perfect crunch on the outside 👌🏼 Was an absolutely perfect breakfast cannot wait to return.

Such a great place - coffee, food, service and background music all on point. Passing through and found Henri Marc via a quick search, and boy am I glad I did. Would love to come back when in the area.

I was taken on a breakfast date today with my beautiful daughter this morning & it was AMAZING!!!! Cinnamon Toast & an Organic Hot Chocolate 10/10 Eggs Benni with Leg Ham & a Salty Caramel Shake 10/10. Service was great, staff were friendly & loved the rustic industrial style of the cafe. Highly recommend...

Would definitely not be going back to Henri Marc Penrith! Went there for breakfast for the first time and was really disappointed Once seated we ordered our meals, no issues. The people next to us ordered just before us and within 20 minutes had received there meals and drinks and had finished. Half an hour past and we were still waiting on our meals plus our coffee. We waited patiently until 50 minutes had past. A lady came to sit next to us and ordered her meal, the exact same as what me and my partner had ordered. Within 10 minutes she had received her meal + coffee and we were still waiting!!!! Went inside to tell them don't worry about our meal as we have somewhere to be but then were told we still had to pay Staff were quite rude about it but I don't think waiting an hour for a meal when someone can just walk in and get click of the finger service is right

Enjoyed our brunch and staff have been very nice and polite and the selection of food were on point! Would come back to try the rest of the menu!

Amazing atmosphere! Great staff, very friendly! Eggs Beny with ham was very good, eggs were perfect when you cut into them, they oozed everywhere, the sourdough bread was great, although the crust was a bit hard. My children both had the waffles with strawberries and Rose Ice Cream. About hesitate about the rose ice cream, but the kids loved it and it was very tasty! Great experience, and my kids want to eat brekky there everyday now.

Very nice food. Fully recommend for a nice meeting place

I live in Rose Bay. Dropped in for brunch on a drive. We were really impressed and would drive out there again just for the coffee, let alone great service and tasty fresh produce at a very reasonable price. We don't have this quality or service in the East. Well done!

One of the best cafes I've ever been to. The food is amazing, the staff are super friendly and their coffee is ALWAYS spot on
Lorna Tilde-Reyes
Would have given it a high rating for the food & coffee. It is a cool café with a perfect coffee blend. However felt rushed by the quickness of clearing the table on an afternoon where there's not many customers. This afternoon was an opportunity for my son to chill after his last HSC exam. It would have been nice to just have that extra time to relax without feeling hurried.

I've been told that this is the best local cafe by a considerable margin, and a match for Sydney's best. After yesterday's visit, I'd say that it lives up to the hype.
Jay Jury
Hands down my favourite cafe in Sydney, the place looks amazing, service exceptional and the food is ALWAYS great!
Michael Johnson
Friendly, efficient service and very tasty food. Coffee delicious. Reckon it’s great value for money.

The food is always on point. I had asparagus, hummus, chariula and herbs.. superb. My daughter had the eggs with a spicy chickpea mix. Coffee is always perfect. Iced trees amazing. The atmosphere is great the owners are brilliant. The table service could be better.
MasterCannoli
Lovely place, inventive and bold menu, beautiful hand-crafted coffee and a welcoming decor. Penrith is fastly becoming a Mecca of Sydney coffee culture. I find Fibonacci Coffee, Henri Marc and the high street depot do the best coffee in the area. Would highly recommend this place to any passers by

Don’t overlook this place, the coffee is always great and the food is brilliant - great quality, and really well done... been here a few times now and every time has been a hit

We heard a lot of raves about this place so we decided to check it out. We arrived at around 10:30 on a Saturday for brunch and the place was packed as expected. Luckily, there was a table for 2 at the corner so we were seated immediately. There weren't a lot of tables and the tables themselves were small. Just enough space for 2 (huge) plates and cofees.
They didn't have a huge selection of food so it was easy to choose. But if you are particularly craving for a certain breakfast/brunch food, I would look at the menu first before coming (which we didn't do) as they don'thave the usual standard breakfast menu. Snaps for the person who wrote the menu! The hashtags were hilarious!
The coffee was okay (I'm not the best person to ask about coffee) and I didn't love it too much or hate it. We both ordered the sauteed mushroom with chorizo dish which was delicious but also very salty. Portion sizes were good and generous and I struggled to finish mine. But that could also be because of the saltiness.
We thought the food was overpriced. Also not happy about the 10% weekend surcharge.

We heard good things about this cafe from the reviews and the high rating, hence I was excited to visit. We were lucky we got here at about 8:30 as it started to get busy when our food got served.

There were a range of savoury and sweet items on the menu, we ordered a spcial of the day (chorizom, mushroom, shallots and parmesan with sourdough) and a smash pea toast with an egg and Prosciutto. The special of the day was a bit salty and saucy for my liking, and I couldn't taste the Parmesan very much.

The staff was friendly, and the coffee was great, we might try some of the sweet items next time if we were in the area.

I was catching up with a friend having lunch. The cafe was lovely decorated a bit like a rustic old barn look. The cappuccino was very strong bitter brew with a bit of froth. Not the best I’ve had. The eggs benny was delicious the eggs were cooked perfectly. The staff were polite and keep coming back to the table which was getting abit annoying. Overall a nice lunch

Henri Marc is a delightful surprise in Sydney’s West.
This small cafe has made a big splash, it offers some of the highest quality food & coffee I have ever experienced.
They are described on google as having “Refined cafe dishes and specialty coffee, in an industrial-chic setting with exposed iron beams.”
And that pretty much sums them up.

The staff delivers excellent service & the decor is fun yet sophisticated with a white wash wooden bench outside, cow hide seat cushions inside, and even a green flora wall.
What sets this place apart is the small details that they always get right;
The side of sparkling water with your espresso, the sharp knife to cut your crunchy sour dough & the blankets provided for winter.
I also love their reuse of old collectible spoons, for those of you Sydney locals, my last visit I got a Wonderland souvenir spoon to use with my coffee! So much nostalgia.

My favorite dish so far has been the green peas, eggs & prosciutto.
Beautifully balanced flavors and textures.
Their coffee is also phenomenal, using Reuben Hills beans, and experienced baristas.
Their menu is constantly changing so plenty of reasons for me to return in the future.
I highly recommend you visit Henri Marc if your in Sydney’s West definitely the best cafe in Penrith.
Or even make a special trip out there to experience it.
The Engineer Eats
We had breakfast here on the way to Blue Mountains and did not regret it! The food here is so good! I especially liked the waffle with orange, coconut meringue, crumble and ICE-CREAM! Imaging having ice cream for breakfast :) so special. The menu is not your typical breakfast fare, lots of fresh ingredients included. Beans for the coffee is by Reuben Hills. Service is very friendly. Highly recommended!

I see what the fuss is about.

This place was mentioned to me by my wife, she love breakfast style cafes.

I must say I have been impressed the few times I've been here, food is solid, coffee is amazing and the service is always pretty spot on.
Kate
Henri Marc is a breath of fresh air in what can be a slightly stale cafe scene.
With great coffee and a changing seasonal menu there are no bad choices to be made, everything is delicious and beautifully presented.
The wait staff are super friendly and attentive but not at all intrusive, no mid meal check-ins while your mouth is full.
Can't recommend this place highly enough.
Tom
Traveled to Penrith to visit this cafe with my partner and I must say highly impressed, food feeds the soul music not over powering and staff are experienced and friendly
Neerja2000
Great atmosphere and amazing food.
Must have the hot chocolate when your there.
The food is fresh and healthy plus it tastes really good.
Gets quite busy during mid day though but still get great service. Would highly recommend this cafe.

I was in Penrith for work. So went early for a quick breaky and was not disappointed!

The service was quick, and the coffees were amazing! The decor is lovely and warm. Waitress was down to earth and very attentive.

Eggs benny lovers would love this place and if your looking for some interesting flavours try the prosciutto mash peas it's different and may not be for some people but quite satisfying.

Highly recommended when in Penrith.
Great Sunday brunch feed check it out. Coffee was great and the decor was pretty nifty as well and the staff were all friendly even though they looked flat out.
Angel Rosas
A very cosy & hidden little place in the Penrith cbd. Had brunch here with girlfriends and were not disappointed. I had the pancakes which was very delicious!
Beatrice Javier
Food is a little pricey but pays off to amazing food. Food looks impressive and tastes as good as it looks. Friendly staff.
The best coffee in the western suburbs. I drive 20 mins just to grab their cuppa. Yes. It's worth it that much.
Zuhal Hashimi
Loooooved the food here. The French toast was heavenly. The waitresses were very responsive and friendly. Would love to come back for more😊😊
Stella
Very good customer service even though we waited a while for the food to come out. I would like to come back again because the eggs were really good
Amal
Amazing coffee, amazing food and amazing service. Slightly hard to manoeuvre with a pram, but, well worth the effort. Food is fresh and delicious. Drove all the from the western suburbs and no regrets. Nice and cosy. Will come again.
Alfonso Calero
Great food and excellent service. Beautiful waitresses and fast delivery. Trendy ambience and funky vibe. Relaxing time spent with family. Even my elderly folks enjoyed their lunch.
Issac_eatsalot
Tried two dishes - the cheaper caramel on toast and the larger French toast. Hindsight tells me to order three of the caramel toast, it was amazing. French toast was a little too eggy with the custard.

Henri Marc is an absolutely amazing cafe in Penrith. the spelt and honey banana bread is absolutely to die for, and is definitely a must try. the poached eggs are cooked to perfection every single time, and the mushrooms are extremely tasty. they also offer gluten free options. and we can not forget about the freakishly large pancakes. they are amazing!!

Went to Henri Marc on a Saturday morning. It was packed and we had a 15 minute wait for a table for 3 but they offered to have our coffee sent to the shared bar seating outside . Our coffees were ready by the time we got our table . Inside it was cosy with the rusty charm of greenery and wooden beams.

The staff were friendly and took our order in a timely manner. We ordered a green tea, cappuccino and babychino. The drinks were lovely as were our mains. We ordered their special caramel on toast , surprisingly light and tasty french toast and the gorgeous quinoa and poached chicken salad.

This cafe is a bright spot off the high street of penrith, behind the chemist by the grassed area. Would definitely return.
Coco And Vine
In Short : Refined cafe fare, best for miles. Teas and sodas are definitely a must try.

Coffee is Reuben Hills and is spot on. When one thinks of Penrith, great coffee and food does not immediately spring to mind. I hope if you’re Penrith resident and reading this post, you won’t be offended if I suggest that it’s been a bit of a culinary desert in days gone by. There is a transformation occurring with cafes like Henri Marc setting roots down in High Street. The cafe has been operating for a just over three years and we visited it not long after it opened and we found the experience outstanding. We’ve since been coming back every few months and the quality has never waned. On a warm Sunday afternoon, we arrive just after the lunch rush and comfortably take a seat in the leather lined chairs. The fit out is country inspired with metal trusses, wood and brick prominently featuring throughout. Beautifully arranged dried native flowers really give off that farmhouse atmosphere. There’s also a long bar seating setup outside which is perfect during the spring, autumn and early on a summer’s morning.

Having recently moved from the heart of the city to the area I was so incredibly pleased when I found Henri Marc. The cafe made me feel like I was back in the city as the one thing I missed the most about that lifestyle was the excellent selection of cafes and breakfast spots. The food is delicious and coffee is without fail the best in the area. I feel that the pricing is definitely reasonable (so anyone complaining about price needs to live in the city for a few years to understand standard breakfast rates, location doesn't matter when the food is of the same standard & quality) all in all Henri Marc is my favourite breakfast spot and I highly recommend you try it! The menu changes which is refreshing and do try ordering outside of your comfort zone as you won't be disappointed!

Delicious food and a cute, rustic feel to the decor. I had sauteed veges with poached eggs and chorizo. Very filling and left feeling comfortably satisfied. With TicKAT2ride

Great food and great atmosphere 👌🏻 can get quite busy so get in early. The effort put into the decoration is incredible. Menu options are creative, nutritious and very tasty. I live in QLD now but I enjoy visiting this place when I'm in the are 👌🏻

Came to Henri Marc for Sunday brunch with a friend. We arrived at around 12pm and it was packed! But we were lucky enough to get a seat on the bar outside. It wasn't very comfortable but it was a nice day so we didn't mind. I ordered the eggs benedict with salmon and added a side of mushrooms while my friend ordered a basic eggs on toast with a side of bacon. My first reaction was that the pricing at this cafe was awfully expensive given it's location. It is situated in Western Sydney, not the inner west so I am unsure as to why my basic meal came to a total of $22.50! Luckily, the meal was good and I was given a significant amount of mushrooms on the side. It wasn't the best hollandaise sauce I had had but it was still good. I also ordered the vanilla and lychee soda. There was no vanilla taste in this at all and it just tasted like lychee which was a shame as I was keen to try the flavours today. My friend enjoyed her eggs which were poached well and a delicious salted caramel milkshake. Overall, despite the ridiculous price, I did enjoy my meal at Henri Marc. Service was also very friendly.

Fantastic!! Cold and wet morning and just a short wait for a table.
Loved the Henri hot chocolate - highlight were the roasted marshmallows - what a stroke of genius! I had the Chrorizo, Mushroom and Parmesan while my other half had the Eggs Bene with Salmon - both delish - and really great service!! Will def be back!!

The cafe was quite busy at 8am when I visited and it was very quirky! It honestly looked like it used to be a garage of some sort, converted into a cafe. The coolest part was their sink which was made from a re-purposed gas cylinder. I was seated at the bar and had a great view of the kitchen!
Amelia
Came here with a friend for brunch and ordered the pesto, feta and tomato on sourdough, and a salted caramel milkshake. The food was very overpriced for what we got - the plate was basically covered in tomatoes and greens, with one slice of sourdough, this was almost $20! Very average and basic food, I could have made it at home. The milkshake was really nice though.

And can we just take a moment to look at just how irritating their website is? Say you want to check what's on the menu, to have a think about it before you go there. Yay, there's a "menu" button, let's click it! Where does it take you? To a page that says "our menu is always changing". How helpful. You have a look on their facebook page and the opening hours say 8am - 4pm Monday to Saturday. But then you check the contact us section of the website, and it says they're not even open Mon-Tues (although they're open on Sunday!) Can't give them a call to check though, because there's no phone number available. A little consistency in your opening hours wouldn't go astray here.

I needed a meeting point for a gals catch up between Camden and Blacktown so I hit up Zomato and found Henri Marc. The pics reigned me in!

What a gem of a cafe in the west. Cute, comfortable and makes a mean caramel latte.

This complemented well with my fulfilling brekkie; chorizo, mushroom and parmesan on toast with poached egg.

I'll definitely be back for round two, and three and... you get the picture!
Amy
Nice little cafe. Had the egg benedict with cured salmon for lunch, hubby had the poached chicken with hummus. Eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise was smooth and creamy. Hummus was tasty and the chicken was tender. Service was the let down here, we found the waitress quite cold which was a shame, otherwise would've rated 4.
Andy Cheng
Had my best vanilla bean milkshake here. The taste is so refreshing. The food here is very interesting too. It is certainly the best cafe I have been in Penrith area.
Amanda
Awesome food! Great coffee! Even though it was fully booked at 9:30am it didn't take longer than 10min for a table. Great staff and a nice place to eat.
Gabbys79
Amazing coffee and service! Located in a very retro looking arcade that faces an Anzac memorial the decor is gorgeous retro feel. Stopped in for coffee only but spent whole time with food envy! I will defo return for food ASAP!
Fat & The Furious
A good breakfast is the only reason to be awake before 10am on a Saturday.

Henri Marc is a little hidden gem tucked away in the middle of Penrith CBD. It's a great spot for weekday warriors needing a caffeine pick-me-up or for hungover hungry horses like us on a weekend.

They use Origin coffee supplied by Reuben Hills in Surry hills which is fantastic. I ordered 3 in this sitting actually.

I dined with 2 breakfast companions they opted for the Eggs Benedict on ham and the wild berry pancakes whilst I went for a heartier chorizo, mushroom and Parmesan on toast with a poached egg.

The eggs for both dishes were cooked perfectly, chorizo nice and crisp, mushrooms full of juices. The hollandaise was emulsified perfectly with the right amount of acidity to cut through the richness. The real star of the morning was the plate sized ricotta buttermilk pancake. It came with its own selection of fresh wild berries along with a homemade berry ice cream. Cooked with generous amounts of butter it was truly decadent.

All in all for a Inner-city cafe quality breakfast 20 minutes away from my doorstep - this place could easily give the grounds or the baron a run for its money - considering the spend for breakfast was about $20 a head.
Amys_food_adventures
Have heard about this place and finally got my chance to dine. We had to wait about 10 mins for a table as they were quite busy. Brunch calls for pancakes!! $16.50 gets you one humongous pancake topped with sliced Apple, nectarine, figs and maple syrup with ice cream! Also got a side of ginger bread milkshake. My niece got sourdough with Nutella $4.50 and the serving size was also huge! Good value for money! Staff friendly and helpful! Will hopefully be back soon to try their dinner menu!
Teresa Paolucci
Was a little hard to find as its not actually on High Street. The waitress who originally served us was lovely and was attentive to us and then we got moved by another waitress who was a little bit rude. Food was amazing, coffee was lovely. A lot smaller than I expected.
Tara Nath
Came here for breakfast one morning and it was delightful! I had the raspberry and white chocolate ice tea and avocado on toast with poached eggs. The ice tea was a pleasant surprise, not too sugary and there was mint in the ice tea which made it very refreshing! Poached eggs were made just the way I like them, gooey yolks with salt and pepper sprinkled on top. A nice change from other cafes in Penrith serving more up market food. Highly recommend 😊
Emma Louise
Recently had my first experience at Henri Marc and I must say I was sort of let down. With not much menu choice it is difficult to say this was one of my favourite cafes. Although the food was good, the fact they had a very limited menu still plays on my mind.
Allofthefoods
Came in a group of three and shared the avocado & pesto on sourdough, beetroot salad and pork belly. All dishes were delicately presented and delicious, though the pork belly was slightly on the dry side. Overall a delicious lunch though maybe not as amazing as I expected after so many recommendations.
James Lederhose
Eggs Benedict was good however the toast is maybe a little bit too crisp. Waffles come with a generous portion of strawberries but it is just a single waffle sort of need to up the portion. Overall pretty good, would go back.
Elise
Brilliant coffee and service! I had the "Eggs Benny" and it did not disappoint! Henri Marc has such a great atmosphere and I could not fault the decor!
Caitlin Annaleise Brown
The salted caramel milkshake is great and refreshingly chilled for a hot day however the bread crust is tough and practically inedible. Had to cut off half my lunch because I simply couldn't eat it which is dissapointing especially because it is an expensive cafe. The service was slow as well which puts a damper on anyone's day. A lot to offer but poorly managed and regulated meals...
MelbourneBee
The food is very good and is definitely the draw but let down by the rest: slow service, sold out of a lunch dish by lunch time and no toilets.
Sweetandyummie
Its fantastic that a place like this exists in good ole peno. Everything on the menu is delicious and the coffee is Reuben Hills so there should be nothing that will disappoint you if you go here. I highly recommend the caramel toast - its total bomb.
Miriam
Love this cafe! One of the best in penrith. Food is amazing and love the fresh produce and flavours they use. Not to mention they have great tasty healthy choices. Only thing is I Hate waiting for a table! :(
Rachaeleatith
Salted Caramel toast #saywhaaaaaaat? You could eat bucket loads of that stuff which is why there salted caramel milkshakes are the bomb. The iced teas are a must as well with refreshing flavours like the raspberry and white chocolate.
Aneta Jovanovski
(edit) yes I've given it a 1.0 rating because of the experience I had today which has caused me to never return again. I still stand by their amazing food but as a regular customer I got treated like absolute shit today. So they've lost mine, my family's and friends business forever. Goodbye Henri Marc.

Every time I come in here I have never been disappointed.
They are constantly changing their menu so if you are a regular you never get bored!
Everyone I have taken here (no matter how boring their palette is or how fussy they are with anything other than chicken schnitzel) have always been surprised in the ingredients they didn't think they would enjoy ending up being perfect together in the dish.

I too don't enjoy some ingredients but have faith in Henri Marc and order a dish that I would usually avoid because I know they always make perfect flavour combinations.

Their ice teas are visually cool. They make them look so pretty and different and taste good too! The flavours are never what you expect.

The place has a nice vibe and I love their rustic decor.
Jsownsksn
Disappointed. Henri Marc is my favourite cafe. However, the inconvenience and inconsistency of their opening times/days/holidays and hours is why myself and many others have stopped going.

Today I went in at 2:40 and was told kitchen was closing at 3 so they were no longer serving food. In hospitality when your kitchen closes it closes on the minute. It does not close 20 minutes before its meant to close? I have worked in hospitallity for 5 years and have never heard of this - if anything, we would keep the kitchen open longer for people that have not ordered or have just walked in.

This year I have tried to go to Henri Marc 5 times and have been unable to for whatever reason.

Greatly disappointed. I won't be coming back.

I used to think that Circa was the furthest cafe anybody not from the west would have to travel in order to find decent food. It’s limited opening hours and the dangers encountered during the trip there meant that a visit there was as elusive as trying to find a unicorn. Well fortunately/unfortunately I’ve found a place that is even HARDER to get to and in a much more dangerous place even further off in the west.

Recently my cousin and her husband opened a new cafe in Penrith called Henri Marc. Everything about it is amazing. Here’s some snaps of my first date/s...
The Blonde Tourist
There’s no doubt about it, this tiny hole-in-the-wall cafe is literally that. With about eight tables inside and a few barstools at the front windows and kitchen, seating is at a premium. On weekends, expect a good 15-20min wait if there’s a group of you but if it’s a small few then hop up on the tall stools and enjoy the chef’s-eye-view of the kitchen while munching on freshly made baked goods and getting your chosen caffeine hit.
Ramen Raff
From the well made coffee to their amazing dishes and topped with their friendly service. What is their not to love about Henri Marc? In my opinion, they are one of the best in Sydney's west!n
Susan ChocolateSuze Thye
Caramel on toast ($4.50). Say whaaaaat? Just look at it. Gaze at its beauty and rejoice in happiness that Henri Marc (438 High St, Penrith) has brought this creation to the lucky peeps out west. A fat slice of sourdough is drowned in the most incredible salted caramel sauce and it was just so delicious that it just blew my mind. And seriously only four and a half smackerooneys? Totally worth the trek guys! I am totally in love with this place!
Katie
Amazing. Every visit to this cafe is more exciting and delicious than the last. Great friendly service.
Norwest24
Very good. Tucked away a bit and semi hard to find but a good cafe. Innovative menu and decent food. Would definitely go there again.

Absolutely Brilliant!. Food is amazing, service is outstanding, 100% brilliant. 10/10.

Love this place!. A friend took me to Henri Marc on Sunday. From the first moment we entered the establishment we were delighted with the customer service. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great menu, reasonably priced, fabulous customer service and I didn't have to travel far to get all of this. Loved my roasted pumpkin salad by the way :)
Cheers!

Excellent cafe cuisine.. Just came from arguably the best meal I've had in Penrith. The pan-fried chorizo was delicious, mixed with tender mushrooms and shallots that soaked up the sauce and topped with a lightly poached egg. The surprisingly generous serving of ice cold watermelon juice was the icing on the cake.
Dan Warne
Inner-city funk in the outer western suburbs!. I love this place. The food is soooo good and the people are so nice. Penrith is not exactly the culinary capital of Sydney, but this cafe serves home-made gourmet food from scrupulously fresh ingredients, in funky antique and special crockery. The meals and staff wouldn't be out of place in the most on-point cafe strips in the eastern suburbs or inner west... in fact I kinda wonder whether they commute out to Penrith from trendier suburbs, ahem*cough! I would go as far as saying Henri Marc has the best food in Penrith and surrounds. Love the apple juice with fresh granny smith apple slices, served in a glass boot!!
Badimpression
Heard good things about this Cafe so I attempted to contact them to make a booking but soon discovered there is no phone number and they do not take bookings. I then wanted to see the menu however that too is not available on the website. Weirdest part of all is, it's not open on Sundays? What kind of cafe doesn't open on Sundays? Bad first impression!

User reviews. Must go and try amazing food and atmosphere order the Carmel on toast it is unbelievable

Henri Marc cafe is great, very cool, hip industrial decor, love the music. Location is nice. Good menu, Chorizo, egg and Parmesan very tasty. Seems the inner west has expanded to Penrith.
Dee
Food is sooooo great but please find a decent Barista. The coffee has been so average this week and thats dragging the place down.

{ _anne_with_an_e // review }
Henri Marc is a little gem in Sydney's outer west. This small cafe is a breath of fresh air in Penrith. Walking in seems like you've been transported to Surry Hills. The dishes look amazing! I tried the poached egg with chorizo, greens, parmesan and sourdough toast. The serving was generous and it was cooked lovely with great flavours. The only downfall was that it was a little too salty. But this place is a great addition to the cafe scene - I'll definitely be back to try more.

Food: 3.5/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Service: 3.5/5

Small but tasty... We went last Saturday for Brunch. There were a few people sitting on the wall out the front, waiting for coffee? or a table..Space is at a premium here, its pretty tiny.
I had the sourdough with pesto, Avo, tomato and ricotta and it was really tasty ( but its pretty hard to mess this up). The Ricotta ( home made perhaps?) was silky and creamy..I also had a chai which was nice but really only just warm.
My friends had the caramel toast , french toast with vanilla custard, and sourdough with jam..
Lots of YUMS, when they started, but one or two of them found it all too sweet after awhile. Poor choice on their part.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the industrial feel to the decor was quirky but good..Noisy though, when moving those chairs over the concrete floors.
Can recommend this place, together with the many other really nice places in western sydney and the mountains..Look around, theres plenty out there.

Great Cafe. The food is great and the service is attentive and good. Only problem with it is you sometimes have to queue to get in...I guess the food is that good!

The staff are friendly but a tad incompetent. The atmosphere is chilled with a sense of Slurry Hills.
I was there for 25 mins, order a coffee.... Waited and waited for my coffee and someone to take my order. New customers around me had their orders taken coffee arrive, but mine never came. I ended up leaving with a very hungry belly. Ashame as I was looking forward to the amazing looking food, but was not prepared to wait that long just to have someone take my order and bring me a coffee. They were not even that busy :(

Excellent!!! The staff are extremely friendly and the good is fantastic. But the coffee here is something else. Living in the inner west and being spoilt for choice it was always a mission to find a decent coffee out west. But not anymore!

Phenomenal!. This place is phenomenal! The coffee is superior, the food is interesting and delicious, and the service is personal and professional (not an easy balance to strike). I was also blown away by the attention to detail: I ate here on a busy Saturday, and every time our jug of water was getting low it would be replaced, instantly and unobtrusively. I am hard-pressed to find any aspect of this cafe to fault; a view no doubt shared by the hordes of people who regularly visit this little slice of utopia.

Coeliac struggles.. Although Henri Marc had a fantastic setting and atmosphere.

I found that they had little knowledge on gluten free options.

Myself being a coeliac I expect staff of cafes to know about gluten and have solutions, although at Henri Marc my waitress had no knowledge of gluten and offered no way of assisting me. She asked if I could eat granola... a clear indication of her little knowledge on gluten.

I was very disappointed due to their lack of knowledge.

I dropped into Henri Marc on 17/12/13 and I must say it is gorgeous. I love the rustic industrial look and the vibe is young and hip. The food is amazing, small menu but the food like I said is amazing. Great coffee also and I am a coffee drinker. The staff is wonderful and I would recommend this cafe to everyone I know. Can't wait to come back.

After living in Balmain for a few years before starting a family back home in Penrith, we were spoilt for choice with beautiful eateries on nearly every corner. We were utterly disappointed at what passed as an edible meal in Penrith after moving back. Over priced "food" and terrible atmosphere - EVERYWHERE we went to eat - Enter Henri Marc.

A little bit of inner city lifestyle in Penrith. Fantastic fit out, fantastic meals, fantastic coffee, friendly staff.

Thank you, thank you, thank you - Henri Marc.

A great discovery! An inner city style cafe with quirky decor and great food. I had avo, tomato & pesto on sourdough. My friend had sea mullet (perfect crispy skin) pickled celery, puréed chorizo & farrow. Both were delicious. Thought I'd try the toffee apple tea, not to my liking but the salted caramel milkshake was great. Menu was small but I suspect it will change regularly.Staff were courteous, meals were served quickly. Penrith has been crying out for a cafe like this, I'll definitely be returning.

Great place. I just found out this great little place. A Surry Hills/newtown feel cafe in the heart of penrith. It has a great look and feel. love the open kitchen. the staff are well groomed and look hip. I had a couple of coffees, espresso and piccalo, found the espresso a bit on the citrus side and the piccalo was not hot enough. Temperature of the milk could be hotter.

Will be back to try the food very soon.

Great Coffee, Delicious modern food, great atmosphere!. At last a modern cafe in Penrith with very good coffee too, Hooray!
The service was quick, the staff very friendly and we loved the atmosphere. The decor is rockabilly, loved the music and the staff young and groovy. We loved the coffee. We both had the breakfast of poached egg with mushrooms, greens, chorizo and parmesan with sourdough toast which was so delicious! The menu is small but everything sounded good, the menu is changed daily so we will be back for sure to try something else. Highly recommend!! Please give it a try!
