Look, I just love this place. The staff are great, the ambience is classy but casual and it's somewhere that still feels like a special treat every time.
My partner and I are vegan, and The Union is a good example of a restaurant taking the extra little step to cater for us. Not just a token offering, but a decent selection of vegan or veganizable dishes. The staff have always been keen to help in this regard too. I'd like to see the specials include a vegan option more often, for variety, but that's my only gripe.
This is a really delightful, friendly place and it's a real highlight in Penrith.
I never take the time to review places, but I had such an awesome night here I couldn’t help myself. Great food, vibe, wine, entertainment, staff. I think we found our new regular little hangout spot���

Thanks for another gorgeous dining experience! We attended a friends 40th there a week ago and totally loved everything about the place so thought we’d give it a go on our own. So so SO good. Quality, selection presentation and service of food second to none even though extremely busy. Great wine � selection and lovely staff. Can not wait to go back. �
Had the most wonderful time here tonight. Lovely relaxed ambiance, fantastic live music, absolutely delicious tapas (the mushroom and mozzarella arancini balls are to die for) and yummy sangria!! Will definitely be back �

Came here with my husband for Valentine’s Dinner, the set menu was good value and there wasn’t a dish we didn’t enjoy. Great food and atmosphere �
Had the first of what I'm sure will be many dinners at The Union Restaurant last night. The Union has a cosy setting that makes you feel like your in a homely kitchen rather than a restaurant. Browsing through the well thought out tapas menu, its quickly apparent that the Portuguese influenced options lend themselves to all diets and tastes. A menu so thought out infact, it makes it incredibly difficult to decide. After settling on 11 different plates, each came out well timed, fresh, tasty, beautifully presented and flavorsome. Every course was washed down with a mouthful of the house Sangria. The service was professional and personable. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Compliments to the Chef!

As always the food was excellent! We had the Tapas banquet for 3 people which was plenty full, good value. Love the old style surroundings.
