Review Jagerhaus German Restaurant - Penrith

While the restaurant was full, majority of the tables had already finished their meals by the time we were seated at 9pm; yet we still waited over an hour between our entrees & mains. The entrees were good but the mains barely came out warm yet somehow still managed to hold its flavour, the service left a lot to be desired & when we went to pay they tried to give us the bill for a much larger table. The one redeeming quality is at least the beer is good!

Above and beyond! John and our waitress were incredibly friendly, patient and helpful during our time there! The place was quite so normally I would wait to see how the staff go when they’re busy but this is definitely the exception: Five Stars! I have never felt so welcomed. Weekend made, Will definitely be back!

Best schnitzel I've eaten! All the family were incredibly happy with their meals and the service was great. Will definitely return to the restaurant! Authentic German cuisine.

We went on Fathers Day, as part of our "eat around the world" tour. The staff were completely swamped (we did not have a booking) but the staffs efforts were amazing. Yes, we did wait a while for our meals to be delivered but it was worth the wait. The whole time, staff were constantly checking what was up. The meals were well sized and worth the money. My wifes Sausage plate was a little without vegetables, but you get what you order. My schnitzel was on point!!! The entire experience was amazing, and for the fact they were booked out for fathers day and still managed to accomodate us was a +1 in my opinion. I hope to get back there by public transport so I can try ALL THE BEERS!!!!!

Improved a lot since last time we eat here. Service is faster now. Bread is always the best. The staff is amazing.

Unreal lunch with family members. Wonderful service from the family-run restaurant. Very authentic cuisine. Generous portions. Exceptional in-house made desserts. Thoroughly recommend!

1 hour wait for meals that weren't very warm. Coffee was barely warm. Kids meal served 30 mins before other meals, except the drink which came after the meal was eaten... Had to ask 3 times for kids dessert to be brought out. The meals are pricey for unremarkable food. A gluten-free veal schnitzel is just a fried minute steak... The atmosphere was loud, wait staff struggled to understand orders. The staff are inexperienced and there did not seem to be anyone managing the floor. Advice: Come for the beer, not the food or service.
