Review New Fortune Palace - Penrith

A group of us came here for a birthday dinner tonight and could not fault any part of it. The food was great, the entertainment fantastic and the staff were lovely, helpful and attentive. We will definately be back!

Portion is ok. Taste is not bad, more on the safe side of cooking, would prefer a more traditional charred cooking style. Price is rather on the expensive side however great service and live music balance it out.

We have been loyal patrons of this place for 15 plus years, but all changed for us this evening, absolute appalling service, ordered $70 worth of food at 5.28pm for my daughters birthday, was told 45mins delivery. 2 hours later they haven't shown up, we have tried calling both numbers continuously for 45 mins and it's either engaged or they don't answer, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere, I know I will be from now on, if I could give NO stars I would

This restaurant have absolutely terrible manners and zero care for customer relations. They are rude on the phone and if you order a lunch special through Uber or something like that they always cancel the order, why advertise lunch specials if you have zero intent of providing!?

My fiance and I ordered a meal for the first time from this place through Uber Eats. Not only did they miss a whole main part of our order but they refused to pick up the phone to fix this issue 10 mins before closing. Now we are left with plain rice and main dish for my fiance but nothing for myself and had to order something else! Disgusting customer service! Never again! We are currently sitting around waiting for another dish to come from another place and our food is going sold and soggy.. absolutely disgusted...

Warning what I'm about to tell you is the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god. We took a chance on this place as our favourite Chinese restaurant was full and it was a big mistake. The dim sims were tough, chewy and barely warm in the middle. While waiting for the main course i found out i was sitting next to Louie the fly. Not sure when they last cleaned the place. The crispy chicken with chilli sauce didn't even remotely resemble its description. It was dry, sad, soggy and there wasn't any chilli or spice at all. The beef with black bean sauce was ok but my misses can make better at home and the fried rice wasn't any better. All in all i would highly recommend you stay away from this place. Would like to give it zero stars but have to give it one to be able to submit review. Feel free to give it a go for yourself but dont say i didnt warn you.

Better than expected. Great tasting food, quick food (waited less then 10 minutes), attentive service, great atmosphere, fair prices. There is also a bar, a disco ball and small dance floor, nicely set tables, clean and comfortable. Got sweet and sour combination had a smokey, surprising but delicious flavour. Fried rice was slightly bland. Honey chicken made with real chicken was nice. Waitress very responsive and quick to serve. Meals came out very quickly.

Ordered take away last night from new fortune palace Penrith. Called to query bill to menu pricing. Manager confirmed menu I have is most recent & advised there waiting on updated menu. Also as I opted not to have free spring rolls but could I get a rice instead he said yes. On bill no delivery fee- states free spring rolls - entree same price as menu- but an increase of price on one meal from 18.50 on menu to 22.00 the second meal 16.50 on menu to 21.50. When I responded that it’s false advertising. He should tell people their are price changes when they order. He just said prices are subject to change. So check your pricing when you order & I’m also subject to change to another Chinese restaurant in Penrith as there are plenty.
