Review Golden Inn - Penrith

Sometimes it's not always the quality of the food, its the portion size. Well it taste good but honestly the portion sizes are pathetic. I feel ripped off. I feel like I paid $65 (inc delivery) and got $15 worth of food. Yay that sure filled my family of 5. How much would you expect I order to fill them up? $200 worth? Just absolutely flawed. I wish I could turn back time and not order it. I'd rather my $65.

If i could rate this a 0 then I would, absolutely shockingly rude staff! Had a go at me because my son took his apple juice pop top with him & he was drinking it!! The boss said he wasn't allowed to drink it because we didn't buy it from the Chinese restaurant! My son is 2! How dare she tell me my son can't drink his drink! She was so rude! She also put a surcharge on our bill because my son was drinking a drink from home! I will never return to eat from here again! The boss needs to learn to be nice! As we were walking out after we paid She continued to abuse us as well as infront of another customer!! She certainly made us feel very uncomfortable & very unwelcome. As we walked in She didn't even say hello. She said yea what do you want I asked for a table for 3 please, she had no manners and was looking at us like a hawk! She displayed nothing but horrible behaviour!

If I could give them 0 stars and leave a review I would but unfortunately I have to give them atleast 1 star to be able to leave a review. The place is an absolute joke. Their prices are now so high and when I called and asked for a delivery they tell me that I have to pay for a fuel levy. I have been buying their food for years and now they wanted to charge me a fuel levy are they serious?? I’ll rather go to the Golden Happiness as they don’t want to rip off their customers. What a bloody joke. Trust me walk into this restaurant and it stinks. I’m so amazed that in the times that we are in and I’m trying to support local business but this one what’s to charge a fuel levy. NOT HAPPENING

I have never met a ruder server in my life. We used to come here quite often and only decided here because the better quality restaurants in St Marys are closed on Tuesdays. What a mistake that was. All the prices have gone up. The place refuses to sell 1.25l or 2l bottles to dine in customers "because then we don't make money", and also charges exorbitant prices for 375ml cans. Half the items on the menu aren't available. We were told explicitly what we can and can't order from the menu. How disgusting. The place has a mouldy odour about it and we will definitely never return again.

We have been loyal customers for over 10 years but the last twice we have ordered takeaway the meals have been luke warm. Tonight was the worst we had to reheat the meal, the prawn cutlets tasted as if they had been microwaved and the sauce for the spring rolls was thick and gluggy. They only item that was nice was the bottle of coke. We will not be going back again.It has become way over priced for what you recieve now i could only give this now one star only cause i had too

I have been dining here for years with Family. Today my partner and I decided to come here for lunch. Food is good, terrible customer service. The elderly lady with brown hair who served us Today has no manners.

Beautifully tasty food best chinese in Penrith , very popular, friendly staff . Not too expensive. Do yourself a favour , try there food.
