Review Nadia's Cafe - Penrith

The iconic cafe beside the fountain inside Westfield Penrith Plaza. I ended up having lunch in here after the cafe in Myer was closed earlier than usual, and was blown away by the quality and service here! The food was absolutely delicious, and each staff member truly made you feel like family! Such a wonderful place to sit and have a coffee beside the fountain.

I have eaten here before and generally find their food and cakes ok. Today I had the pancakes and bacon with orange juice. The orange juice was nice and fresh and the bacon was cooked just right. But though the pancakes were okay I would not say they were anything special and wouldn’t say it was at a good cafe standard. That being said I still enjoyed them with some maple syrup. Though I would say I would not order this pancake combination again for the 16 dollar price tag due to what you get for that 16 dollar. Abit pricy for the quality of the food.

Big portion of food, reasonable pricing, nice ambience. Totally recommend this place.

Went here for breakfast today with my mum and was honestly so disappointed. I've been to Nadia's a few times before, but not for a few years. I remember how much I loved their bacon pancakes and suggested to my mum (to which we were both starving) that we go there. The woman who served us seemed so uninterested in being there, though we saw her interacting with other customers with a smile or a laugh, yet she seemed almost dismissive to us. I ordered a strawberry smoothie, which was not a smoothie at all but a strawberry yoghurt in a jar (I didn't like it so my mum had it). I also got my bacon pancakes which I was so excited for. If only I'd known. The pancakes were all but inedible, they were so dry and disgusting they literally crumbled apart when you tried to cut them. I had a few bites but couldn't force myself to waste the calories on something I couldn't stand. Mum did say that her meal was okay. Not once did the staff ask how our meals were or come to check on us, not even when we went to pay. One of the worst breakfast experiences I've had in a long time and I will NEVER be back.

I saw the place was packed and the meals being served looked great, though I have been to this westfield often this was the first time dining there and most certainly the last, extremely disappointing is an understatement. My toddler had to wait almost an hour for her nutella sandwich. I am happy to wait for an exceptiona meal and thought this better be the best sandwich to make a child wait, especially since our server had seen me administer my babys insulin. She rarely gets to eat sweets so it was to be a treat. When I asked why our food was taking so long she said the kitchen was slow that day but then a few seconds later appeared back with our food leading me to believe it had been ready to serve she just hadn't bothered checking. When our food finally hit the table, the sandwich was just nutella slapped on dry bread with crusts on. This is from the kids menu and from a cafe. My $20+ southern chicken burger looked great but tasted burnt and salty. To top it off whilst eating a wooden walking stick flew down from the floor above and landed on our table knocking over my drink and almost hitting me and my child. It was the most stressful dining experience I have ever had which could have been made less traumatic had the customer service treated everyone equally and accomodated my child promptly, who waited so patiently for a sandwich which left her still very hungry. $37 I paid to a cashier that could not crack a smile. The entire experience actually left me feeling traumatised. My advice, as I have worked as a manager in a restaurant, serve the little ones first and ask if they want the crusts cut off. They are having a dining experience too and are eating a paid meal and if you see they require an injection or medication of some kind you would expect that their comfort is being catered to. If the staff are going to socialize with guests ensure all guests have the same hospitality, and have a quick sweep under the tables after each diner because the floor had food on it. If you see something thrown from the air onto a paying customers table, make sure they are okay and move them somewhere safer. The sandwich should have been free of charge to be honest. The whole meal should have been. No offer was even made to replace the drinks. I can honestly say it was the worst dining experience in my entire life.

Excellent service. The Mrs tried a slice of brownie with a dash of ice cream. I had the mushroom bruschetta. Great taste and freshness can be felt. Coffees are above average too. My rating is based on the service and food.
