Review The Heritage Terrace - Penrith

The food here used to be great, but after dining here today, I will not eat here again. The food was bad. The steak sandwich was so basic, had no flavour but edible. The lasagna though, was all mashed up and tasteless. The T-Bone steak was the worse; it looked and tasted like it was cooked in a microwave. And the gravy was disgusting; it had separated and was awful. Chips tasted like they were just reheated, making the overall dining experience poor and disappointing! The only positive was, the owner was friendly and the coffee was decent enough.

I love the food and coffee here. Eating in a large group can somewhat be quiet expensive tho. The staff are absolutely divine. They're helpful, polite, courteous, just down right angels. I always eat here with my mum and enjoy it. Food is awesome quality same with the coffee 👍🏼

First and last time eating here. The staff were unfriendly, very slow service, and the food was below average. The price you pay I expected better quality.

First and last time visiting the Heritage Terrace Cafe. Waitress didn't wait for us to hardly sit down before wanting to take order and her attitude was one of don't care. Got the order wrong. Took part of it back but by time I received meal back the rest was cold. Food substandard. Cooked terrible. Bacon greasy and fatty, mushrooms used for breakfast large black ones that leave black juice...Yuck! Where's the button ones? Didn't eat the meal only paid for the drinks. Seriously no wonder people go and eat McDonalds breakfast as you know you are going to get the same pancakes at ever store and if they get if wrong or it's cold you can go back in and they'll replace it.

Had some random customer threaten my life and throw breadcrumbs in my face in front of everyone as i walked in. The manager/staff apologised to that guy trying to keep the peace instead of kicking him out or calling security. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from both the customer and the staff there.

Good size Cafe with plenty of room for diners. Food is always A1 served in a timely manner & made / cooked to your liking. Highly recommend this Cafe.

I got a take out breakfast $14.95, very yummy, scrambled eggs, toast, extras sausage and bacon $12.95... extras kick the price up. Food was yummy and tasty and did fill me up and was hot just added the secret ingredient tomato sauce made it even better. I would go back to try there coffee which seems good and tasty as well. Ate lunch here today with a friend and our meals were delicious. I am commenting about a customers complaint. Over heard the conversation between the waitress and the customer about the bad food, in particular the nachos and I thought the waitress handled it perfectly. What was more impressive is then the male owner came over to the table and apologised to them, refunded the meal and was very kind and attentive to their negative comments. Heritage terrace a big thumbs up on your professionalism and service. I will dine here again.

I recommend not to go to this cafe. Poor customer service when ordering drink and meal (had waitress in our face constantly). Drinks came very quickly however had to wait over half an hour for our meal to come, by that time we wanted to leave. Definitely a waste of money and time. Will not be going back.

Beautiful cafe hidden away. Great food and coffee a lovely little place to relax and recharge.

Enjoyed the pancakes for breakfast today. Great quality food and great service. I've been here a few times and always have had an enjoyable meal & experience.

Ordered a chai latte and sausage, eggs, and tomato on sourdough toast. Chai was literally almost half a cup of foam, and what I can only describe as "chai powder sludge" for the other half. Sausages were tasteless. I ate half out of 2. Not even salt could help them. The eggs and tomato were fine, but I was given normal white bread and not Sourdough as requested. I paid and left. Having worked in a restaurant before, I don't like to make a fuss and complain, but I have never had a more dissapointing meal.

Have been many times and We have had great service. Food is good. On our last visit I had the best steak sandwich I have had in a long time. We make it a rule that we visit once a month.

Food was terrible and plate was swimming in horrible salad dressing. Lasagna looked like a pile of pasta with no real shape to it. Would not go back

The service is not that good anymore I have to wait 20 minutes yesterday to get someone to come out and serve me which wasn't good. I was sitting outside and the staff didn't seem to want to come serve outside. This was very poor service, the coffee came out and it was exactly what I wanted but will think twice about coming back because of how long it took to get service.

Quiet awayfrom the rush of the Plaza. Friendly staff, good reasonably priced food , very clean and comfortable. A very pleasant lunch.

Nice service, owner is friendly, decor is modern and welcoming giving a relaxed feeling, atmosphere is peaceful for a shopping centre so that's great. <br/>Quite enjoyed the food! Very flavoursome and fresh. <br/>Coffee was not good though. <br/>But would return for the Ceasar salad because of the fresh dressing that made it an above average Ceasar salad.

Not bad although was overpriced for the quality of the food. Staff made up for it though with how friendly they were... Nice location and fairly private considering its in a food court.

Come atleast once every couple of weeks. Food is always amazing and cooked so well. Friendly staff and owner is almost always there to greet you. I haven't found a cafe as good anywhere in the city.<br/><br/>And if strong coffee is what you're into this place has it!

We came to the Heritage Terrace thinking it was a nice, secluded little corner restaurant with potential. We were greeted with a very flat and very clearly forced smile and an unusual passive aggressive waiter. I thought nothing of it, and we proceeded. <br/>I had generally open expectations, and Heritage certainly raised the bar unusually low. <br/>The ham and cheese focaccia is store bought bread, store bought ham (not from a local companies). The bread was not pressed, which defines a focaccia. It was basically a fat loafy sandwich. <br/>The big breakfast was - well, for the price - underwhelming in every sense of the word. The eggs were clearly the cheapest/smallest eggs money could buy, the bread was definitely store bought and the overall quantity of everything was disappointing. <br/><br/>The final icing on the cake though, was the general service. I get it - I don't expect a million star service from what's essentially "that cafe on the outskirts of a mall", but the picture was very much painted when customers who appeared to be much older than us were receiving an entirely different experience from the wait staff, and it appeared they wanted it to be known. <br/><br/>To them I say - I hear you loud and clear. <br/>We definitely won't return unless there's a change, especially considering there's some fierce competition nearby. I won't mention the name specifically, but at the very least, you'll get a much better quality and quantity for the money - even when you omit the cold service we received. Remember to never judge a book by its cover...<br/><br/>It's a shame too, because the atmosphere of the place is very inviting overall...
