Absolutely amazing!!! Went here for dinner tonight on high recommendation. From the service to the food, to the condiments to the price... cannot fault anything at all!!! The ambience of the alfresco dining with heating for the colder nights is fantastic. Would without a doubt highly recommend this place to everyone! An absolute gem tucked away in the heart of the city! Will definitely be back!!! :-) :-) :-)
Great little place just off Wellington Street. I had pan fried barramundi and chips and the rest of my crew had cod and smoked cod and chips with mushy peas. 10/10 from all of us and we have tried most places for fish n chips!! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the city.
The staff (Paul) was friendly as! Top bloke the food omg best cheese curry chips I've had since moving here from UK 4 yrs ago! Proper homemade chips fish was beautiful and battered sausage is a must will defo be back for more

What a treat! A fun and friendly hidden treasure down a trendy inner-city lane. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch of threadfin fish, hand cut chips, battered sausage and curry sauce. Totally recommend.
Host Paul is a wealth of "Fishy Information" the food is delicious plentiful and good value for money. This was my fourth visit I usually have the Atlantic cod , but tried the Hake which was the best I have tasted , Paul explained that a lot of different fish are past off as Hake at some establishments😜 The mushy peas are really good especially laced with some mint sauce -thanks Paul
Simply amazing - Came here for an early dinner after work, upon hearing there was somewhere in the CBD that does proper (i.e. hand cut) chips.
Not disappointed in the slightest! Smoked cod went down a treat, the chips delivered everything I wanted and more, brilliant mushy peas and curry sauce too.
Top notch service as well - Paul, the owner really engages with with his customers, and the lady who served me and brought my food out, complete with cutlery and all, was on top of her game too!
Will definitely be back!

Visited grand lane fish house today and it was only amazing from start to finish!
My partner had the darwin threadfish which had a nice light delicious batter and was complimented well with the golden fried homemade potato fries and to top it all off a tasty tartar sauce to dip into.
I on the other hand had the mcloughlin's irish battered pork sausage with the homemade fries and to make it extra tasty I had the mcdonnells curry sauce!
Absolutely divine!
Couldn't fault it in any way.
Will certainly be returning very soon.

Best fish & chips I've had since moving to Perth 18yrs ago. Loved the Atlantic cod, mushy peas and the curry sauce, simply the best. Will definitely go back for more.

Hidden gem in the city! This is probably the only dedicated place that serves fish and chips in city. Hake was nice and flakey with a nice batter. Hand cut chips were very nice. Not too oily and the tarter sauce was house made. Good pricing too.
Hake n chips with some squid rings. All tasted very good. Hand cut chips were crispy and the batter on the fish was perfect. Will come try the other variety of fish next time
Probably the best fish and chips in the city. Hake and chips was really nice. Had their curry chip dipping sauce which was tasty. Fish wasnt fishy and chips are hand cut. Onion rings were OK. The pineapple fritter was real good. Definitely not a canned pineapple. Friendly staff.
Awesome fish n chip place... nice to have a place like this in the cbd :) Had the battered haddock with chips and tartare... was tasty and light. Will have to go back for a cone of chips with curry! More pricey than your surburban fish and chips, but the quality is great.

Did a take-out and arrived back in the apartment to enjoy delicious piping hot meal. The cod fish was really fresh and the chips were awesome! Was too hungry to to take photos of the food. Will definitely come back for more!
When we realised that we should take some photos of the food they were alrdy in our stomach🙄 It was a very pleasant experience, we had the fantastic smoked cod and atlantic cod, crispy outside tender inside, you'll get 2 medium pcs in one serving. The hand cut chips was also amazing with joppie sauce. Thanks to the owner who explained the menu very detailed to us, happy for gaining some new knowledge about fish & chips. Like this place.
