Came by for Dad's birthday lunch. It's located just by the main entrance of the Hotel area. It was quite busy but it didn't feel crowded. They had quite a few different cuisines available, both hot and cold. It was generally help yourself but there were some areas, like the carvery, that had staff on hand to serve you. The variety was quite good and the food quality was also good. The dessert bar is located closest to the dining area and they had fresh made waffles as well as special ice cram of the day, which was rocky road when we were there.
The staff were friendly and efficient at clearing the plates. There were staff in most of the stations throughout service which was also quite nice. It is a nice place for celebrations particularly if you are a member of Crown as they give you free bubbles and chocolate. Worth celebrating birthdays here.
Came for a bday celebration lunch. The oyster was really fresh today and great variety of food. Service was great and was given a slice of bday cake for the birthday person.
Fancy buffet, huge variety.
OUR TAKE
Atrium is one of the buffet’s inside Crown Perth. We came here with empty stomachs and it met our expectations of what a high-class buffet should be.
FOOD
Huge huge range of different foods, including; fresh seafood, hot curries, salads, meats and a massive dessert bar. All of the food was fresh and tasty, and we enjoyed the variety.
VIBE
Centred in Crown Perth, the vibe is quite dressed up, as you have the casino only a few steps away. Very luxurious for a buffet.
SERVICE
Great.
CRITIQUE
Nothing to complain about.
OVERALL
We really enjoyed our night here, the food was fresh and tasty, the vibe was a lot more ‘fancy’ than an average buffet, which was nice to have the best of both worlds; a buffet and dressed up feel. Priced very well for the amount of food available.
The food was excellent with a large range of cuisines from around the world. Our experience was slightly negatively impacted by the wait staff getting confused by our staying at the Promenade hotel and came to our table and interrupted us about 4 times to check the receipt from charging breakfast to our room.
Also despite booking days in advance and advising we had a pram and to please provide an accessible table, we were allocated a table up some steps so this was changed when we arrived.
Five star food, three star service.
Aidan "Avvinash" Louis
+4
Me Aidan Avvinash Louis, can honestly say, I cried when the scent of curry powder swiftly entered my nostril traps. It was exactly like when slum dog millionaire won, how to be a millionaire. I felt like I was at the Taj Mahal with a cocktail, a pair of Crocs and a butter chicken platter, with all different curries and papadums. The food was exquisite not to mention the service, and awesome posters in the toilet which made me giggle so hard I almost wet myself on my summer time boardies.
Awesome work Avvinash!
Great place for breakfast. We stayed at the Crown Towers but opted to go have breakfast here, at $39 per head its well worth it. The choice is great and staff are really helpful.
Not bad for an all you can eat, Homer Simpson like buffet. However as usual too many regrets. Shouldn't have eaten those last three courses. Very noisy though.
Had a great dinner experience here! My friend and I came on a weekday night and it was really busy. There was a lot of variety - meats, seafood, sushi, fried food, Chinese food, Indian food, Japanese food, Italian food, salad and dessert. I was so full from trying just one of every thing there! Sadly did not get to have the Chinese crab dish or the ice cream cake as they ran out before I got to it and they were replaced with other dishes. Also not every dish listed on the menu was actually there that night. Good thing that the turnover of the food was high, so food was constantly being cooked and replenished. Good quality and taste too! Favourite was the prawns and the Italian section. Wait staff were very nice and constantly cleared our plates. Would definitely go back again
Had lunch here on Anzac Day and surprisingly there was no extra charge for public holiday. Great atmosphere and customer service. Wide variety of international cuisine and all delicious. Only setback was that queue for deserts was very long and had to wait for quite a while to be served.
Went here a couple of Fridays ago (18th) for lunch, been here a few times previously, but this day the food was exceptional! Friends and i agreed it was probably the best we have had at atrium.
They were abit slow on the plate service than what i have experienced previously, but wasnt a big issue.
If this is a consistent new standard, i wouldny hesitate in going more often.
Arrived here at 8am for buffet and there were quite some people already. Enjoyed the whole dining experience, food wasn’t too bad. They have all the usuals Western and Eastern cuisine. Would definitely come back with our entertainment book discount, worth it!
We visited for a family breakfast, the food was amazing so fresh and if the highest quality, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing!! Visiting for dinner one day is on my list of things to do!! Highly recommend this restaurant excellent value for money!!
The food is pretty good here although I think they could improve on the variety of items offered. I wasn’t very impressed with the dessert selection and thought they could improve on taste
We went here in a group of twelve for dinner. Food was quite good with a large and wide range of meals to select from the buffet. All the meals are freshly made and brought straight out to the buffet.
It’s a pretty good option if you like the buffett style dining. The desert selection is pretty good too!
Have come here several times with my family and friends and we always enjoy it. There is so much to choose from. Pretty good quality for a buffet.
Good value with a great range of food all well cooked and of a great quality. All worth paying that bit extra for far better food of a better quality. Top notch and thank you to the all to friendly staff.
Beautifull place to eat beautifull good food. Large selection to choose from, although the layout is a little confused. People seem to wander around looking for a particular type of food.
Atrium is a hotel Buffet so it is no surprise that the price is extremely high. I think the quality of the food is very good. From fresh delicious oysters to fresh sashimi and sushi, beautifully cooked roasts and even the soups were good. The desert was a little disappointing, ordinary cafe grade cakes and ice creams.
What I found the most problematic is the manners of other guests. Since the restaurant is at Crown, it does attract a lot of random crowd from all over Perth. Kids running around with no adult supervision, adults picking from their plate and licking their fingers while lining up for more and thus touching the communal tongs and spoons etc.
Staff in general are pretty inattentive . They just clear your plates and doesn't speak much ..
The atrium for me is always a great place to go for a nice big meal .. I love the unlimited waffles ! Their coconut rice is amazing ! And it's a nice big selection of food ..
I do go for breakfast more than dinner , its reasonably priced. And satisfying. 😊
The service was great the food was pretty good. Loved the range of food that they had great value for money the seafood was the highlight. The sweets range was amazing go and see for yourself.
Have been here for lunch and breakfast, very good selection of foods, as it is a buffet style it is all in bulk so the quality is not as good as some of the other Burswood restaurants. I prefer the breakfast selection rather then lunch.
It's a buffet and a fairly expensive one at that.
Food was ok, nothing to rave about. It's a nice area and the service is great. For me best part of the buffet was the desserts they offer.
I would go again but in no rush to do so.
Had dinner here last week for my partners birthday. Definitely not the cheapest buffet in town, but no doubt its the best. The range of food was vast and the quality and taste was excellent.
The service was prompt and friendly, plus we even got a complimentary glass of champagne and box of chocolates for the birthday girl (lady).
The restaurant itself has an excellent ambiance, the decor is nice and overall its a great dining experience.
We even tried a espresso martini which was new to both of us and absolutely beautiful.
PS: we are already looking to return and try the high tea buffet
We came here for lunch with a group of mums.
This place is really good for gathering. Enjoying the environment and good friend to chit chat together.
Customer service Is excellent.
For the food: most of the hot food that contains chicken, fish and pork all of them are dry and over cooked (it could be because it's in warmer)😞
In term of taste not bad at all.
Dessert: definitely love it all. Thumbs up
Especially lemon and forest sorbet
I've been here several times with my family and friends and love it. The quality of the food is good considering it is a buffet and there's is plenty to choose from. Price of drinks is a bit steep but apart from that, there's not much else wrong. Staff are attentive and accomodating.
Good selection, wide range of quality food offered which is well-presented. Downside is uncontrolled kids running around as if it were a crèche at lunchtime, parents are the problem not the kids. Service to tables not quite up to scratch.
Great place to go! I love , love this place so much! First of all, the restaurant itself is so beautiful, very elegant decor. There's a huge selection of different variety of foods from countries. From sushi to curries, seafood and a whole buffet of desserts ☺️. I recommend Atrium to anyone who's looking for an upper class all you can eat buffet, that's actually worth the money. For dinner, prices are about $75 a head Weekends and $65 weekday, so make sure to bring ur family and friends along as it's perfect for special occasions!
I LOVE ATRIUM ! Its the best place for celebrations ! And Best Buffet in Perth !
The customer service is always so friendly, and the food is always delicious ! they never seem to disappoint ! Especially their dessert station , every time i come its something new !
Will always come back when its the time to celebrate !
2 weeks before christmas on Sun 11 Dec we organised the Xmas SP colleagues lunch. We booked for 25 people only 23 were able to attend. The table was beautifully laid out and ready to go. Adults were served champagne. A couple ordered apple cider. As the co host we were early to welcome the guest. The buffet looked so inviting I had to start before all the guests arrived. Snacked on steamed buns and fruit eg bananas to stop the tummy rumbles. As guest arrived we had to walk up to reception to bring them to the table as there was a long queue of other people waiting to come in via the entrance. Once every one arrived we attacked the buffet with gusto. Some went for the curries and roasts. I started with the salads and salmon. Also had sushi but missed the sashimi salmon from previous years. There was BBQ pork and noodles for Asian food aficianados. The desserts were tempting and we had the cakes and petit fors. We had coffee and tea afterwards. Kids had carafes of coca cola or lemon squash. My boss then gave away hampers to all the adults. Each hamper was $100 and everyone was really happy and full afterwards. It was a great Xmas atmosphere and many other patrons were dressed in a christmassy way for the occasion. My boss paid for the whole function which came in just under $1k. We got a lot of thank you emails especially from the ladies who received the hampers.
Absolutely love the Atrium and I honestly cannot fault a thing! I've been coming here for many years and always leave impressed; and full.
The set out of the buffet is organised well and there is such a massive selection. I feel like there is definitely something for everyone at the Atrium and would recommend highly.
Christmas get together couldn't be celebrated any better than with a buffet. Being the festive season there was additional food compared with the standard menu which was a bonus. Staff were very prompt in attending our table, once you took you last bite someone was clearing it ready for you to go another round of food. All the meats and seafood I tried were great. Desserts were fantastic and I left feeling very full!
I had a lovely time here with the family. It's very child friendly. The kids loved the wide range of selections of food here (especially the dessert bar!). The seafood was (not surprisingly) quite popular. The prawns were fresh. I really enjoyed the Asian dishes offered last night (a handful selection of dim sum, fried rice, noodles and a few stirred fried dishes). The atmosphere was relaxing with the lighting, comfortable seats and excellent service by all the staff. The staff were brilliant and always made us feel welcomed from the beginning right through to the end! Always an ideal place to dine! The cost for the adult was $70/pp and the children (both under 12) was $35/pp
Food is good here for all you can eat buffet. It is getting more expensive all the time. You need to make a booking to get in here. I like it coz the oysters are always fresh
We went to the Atrium a week ago and honestly I have been procrastinating with this review as I have very mixed feelings ! For a start let me begin by saying it certainly has improved over the years ...( variety wise)
We had dinner and I must say the variety was very impressive! ( I probably would have preferred less variety but tastier food )
The service was very mediocre😒
The Atrium really needs to make sure that they have more staff monitoring the different stations ( I watched a child sticking his fingers into the chocolate fountain and deserts and into his mouth!) I guess I was expecting it to be a little more upmarket being the Crown but was rather disappointed with the standard all round
Always love the Atrium! The set-up is really good, with the different cuisines organised well. There's so much to choose from - carvery, Italian, Greek, fresh seafood, soup, salads, Asian and a dessert buffet. The food is very good quality.
The staff are also very attentive and are quick to take your used plates away so you can get more food.
The only concern is that you have to have a good appetite to get your money's worth for the price you pay. At $65 a head, this is not a place for picky or small eaters.
The atrium is good value for dinner (as long as you have the entertainment card). You pay for the access to variety so make sure you are hungry when going! The seafood/asian/italian etc are always good and the desserts are great. Always go at least 1 a year.
Love Atrium! I like their breakfast and their dinner. They serve seafood for dinner that's why they charge more for the dinner. The service was okay, been to all restaurants in Crown but Atrium service is not as good as the rest. For breakfast it costs $39 each person and I think it's a good price with so many good selections for buffet.
Alway classy! Wide selection of international food, desserts to die for! Definitely a treat coming here. Staff are always polite and attentive. Perfect for any special occasions, however you must attend with an empty stomach!
Huge selection of food, some dishes haven't been the greatest quality but you can skip those and move on.
Be ready to leave super full though because chances are your eyes will be bigger than your stomach.
Some really good healthy options to go with the not so healthy ones.
Never been super disappointed here and we've been a few times, worth a go if you're in the area.
Good buffet but service dropped off a little. Oysters were a little dissapointing today and there's massive skimp on Champagne. Its still a good spread but comparing it to other hotels of same calibre they are playing it way too safe and its always the same food. All up its still a good indulgence.
This buffet restaurant never seems to disappoint. The wide variety of foods from all over the world, the fresh seafood and salad bar and the dessert bar take your tastebuds on a decadent journey -it's only drawback is the cost. If you are a small eater, you may need to think twice before forking out the $55.
Atrium recently introduces their $30 high tea buffet. Food is decent for the price but not the best high tea I've had. A lot of deep fried savouries, prefers more steamed ones though.
Just had their $30 high tea buffet. It wasnt bad but i think The one at lobby lounge better. However, considering the price, all you can eat savouries (not much choices though) and sweets (cakes, macaron, choc fountain, cookies and more) plus a glass of sparkling or soft drink, and free flow of tea and coffee, it's not bad indeed. Combined with entertainment book voucher, the meal can be considered a bargain. Meal time is between 3 to 5pm. If you eat enough, you even saved your dinner money 😁
We love this place we went school holidays so kids was free at lunchtime buffet
We ate and ate until we burst
The food and choice is fantastic kids really love eating here they always want to go back
Nice clean venue :)
The high tea buffet is great value for money. $30 unlimited buffet, tea, and coffee and a glass of champagne.
I had the best scones ever, soft and tasty. (5 Stars). The prawn toast was yummy too.
Yes, Atrium has dropped in standard in the past few years. But the dessert section continues to grow (everyone goes to buffets for dessert right) and the food selection is generous and of a pretty decent quality. It is a tad pricey though, so maybe keep it to special occasions and you won't feel so bad...
The variety here is exceptional. I have been for dinner here on the weekend and on Boxing day last year with my husband. The seafood selection is good, and the curries and Asian food selection set Atrium apart from other buffets. There is a very wide dessert selection, but many of the desserts are a bit overly sweet.
I have to agree with other reviewers below that the impression is quantity over quality, but I still found the majority of the dishes to be of a high standard, with only a few let downs in between. I would return here once or twice a year.
We had breakfast here this morning. Loved it. The range and variety of food is amazing. Will have to try both lunch and dinner now!
Great for breakfast or dinner. Never been here for lunch but I assume it is the same great quality. Bit pricey but so worth it. Love the assortment of cuisines, all fresh and the service is exceptional.
Dessert and ice cream station is amazing, dumplings left in the pots too long become dehydrated and dry.
Had a dinner buffet for a party of 5 on a Thursday night. You have to book a table in advance. Booking can be done online and you'll get a confirmation thru text message and thru email. A day before your dinner, you'll receive a text message and you have to text back to reconfirm your booking. We also got a 20% discount thru their Crown member promo so watch out for any promos on offer when you book. We enjoyed the dinner as we loved most of the dishes. The oyster bar was fantastic. The sushi and sashimi bar is nice. I loved the tuna and salmon sashimis as they were very fresh and nicely prepared. Steamed prawns were nice too.
The asian bar was fabuluos and we all loved the peking duck, roasted pork belly with cracklings and the pork barbeque. You can choose different sauces that compliment each dish. Different dimsums were available and the prawn dimsum stands out. Loved the pork buns too.
Risoto with smoked salmon was very nice. You should try the beef medallion and the roasted beef was also great.
Finally..the dessert bar has a wide selection of cakes and ice creams and a lot of cookies and lollies for the kids to choose from.
All in all..we had a very nice and fun dinner and it is worth the visit. Thumbs up!
Atrium has a wide range of different types of food including Chinese, Italian, Indian etc. but the quality of the food is nothing to brag about, oysters usually taste so fishy. Always look forward to the desserts here since they have such a big variety from rich chocolate mousse, cakes, ice creams and desserts.
Great buffet so much variety, fresh and delicious. One of the best buffets in Perth and value for money. The hot and cold selections are varied and the Asian food was definitely a favourite.
For the 2nd time we had our work Xmas do here. And we'll probably come back next year too.
I love buffet dining. Plate after plate of nearly anything you desire.
For me though, I like to get my value for money by hitting the seafood.
Oysters and prawns. The prawns were fresh and large however the oysters were very much on the small side.
I then moved onto the meat mate. Roast beef, roast pork and the delicious gravy.
Round 3 was sushi. Lots of it.
Final course was dessert. There's an infinite number of courses/combinations on offer. Love the Atrium.
Love love love it. Had dinner at Atrium on Friday night, on arrival there was a huge winding line in from of restaurant, and had to ask people what they where queuing for, Food of course! Our booking was 8pm , so when we arrived they were clearing up and organising from previous sitting hence the line. Staff were so lively and we were shown to our table quickly. Ok let me go to what this is about-FOOD! There was plenty of it,different stations there is something for everyone. The food was cooked to perfection and even if you are the most pickiest eater you are guaranteed there is something for you. The desert bar was magnificent too. The roast potatoes are out of this world, I don't normally like roast potatoes but I tasted some off hubby's plate and went off to get mine. Really yummy potatoes. Price a person is 75$ for adults excluding drinks but it is soo worth it. You have to starve for a week before hitting the Atrium. After dinner you can always hang around there lots to see/do and lots of bars around too.
I would consider the Atrium to be the single best buffet in Perth. The variety of food is huge and it is always well cooked. The service is nothing to write home about but as a buffet, it is not essential.
The buffet selection at the atrium is great. Lunch at $49 pp is pretty good. You get 2hrs to sit back and enjoy your meal in a nice ambience atmosphere. You get a choice of roast, seafood, Indian, Asian, pasta.
There something here for everyone even the pickiest diner. Wide selection of dessert choices, sorbet, waffles fruit. Pretty good compared to other buffet places I've been too.
Atrium is definitely one of my favourites buffet restaurant with decent style and service.
Sometimes it could be pricey on weekends but its a must try for everyone.
Great selection. Eggs, bacon, sausage, beef medallions, potatoes, hash browns, pancakes, waffles, dim sim, curry and more and more and more. I thought It was great price $39.
Good selection of food but been there a few times I personally feel that the kitchen has not been challenged to bring in different dishes. Different kinds of cuisines but always staying on the safe side with more or less the same dishes be it savory or sweets. So I don't go there at short intervals. I think they should have a menu change every 3 months at least. For each time I spot the same old kinds.
8.30pm seating on weekend is a nightmare with crowds queuing up for the food stations. I think if you want to enjoy your meal, get the 5.30pm.
Crown still has the Birthday specials. Birthday cake and champagne for each diner at your table. But got to arrange at least 24 hours in advanced.
Clearing of plates slow as they seem to be short staffed. I think for buffet it is important in clearing the plates given that diners will come back with new dishes to try.
A decent high-class buffet style restaurant situated at the centre of Crown enhancing the luxurious dining experience. Great range of selection across different genre of food (Asian, western, indian), including my personal-favorite oyster, although some may not be up to your standard. The seafood can be not-so-fresh to totally-not-fresh-at-all, but nonetheless I still love the oyster. The spicy pork ribs and some of the Chinese cuisines are decent too. There are heaps of dessert including probably 2 dozens choices of cakes, ice creams, churros, chocolate fountain and many more.
The price is expensive for buffet dinner at $75. But it is Crown and it is buffet and it is Crown. If you are having a big celebration (ie Christmas dinner, 60th birthday, etc) this would be a great. I went here a couple of times and all for some celebration. Other than that, $75 buffer may be a bit pricey so you better come with empty stomach. If you just want to try it out, I recommend you go for the lunch buffer as they offer similar range (probably minus the crab), at $49 only and sometimes they have offers going on too. They also limit the $75 dinner for 2 hour sittings at 6pm and 8pm. I recommend the 8pm sitting as even when the kitchen is closed at 10pm, you can probably have extra 20-30 minutes to sit and talk while enjoying your dessert.
One downside from me would be regarding the sitting for large group: they do not allow for rearrange so if you don’t come early/book beforehand you may need to sit separately. I won’t minus the rating for this case though as I understand their chair is big so it could be one of the reasons for mobility and also it’s a buffet so moving the chairs may end up blocking the way.
This is a really good buffet style - all you can eat restaurant - it has oysters and other seafood, Indian, Chinese, sushi, roast antipasto and Italian food and a great selection of desserts and cheeses - but it is still buffet style - all you can eat restaurant. Great decor and good service.
It is expensive $75 each plus drinks extra so you want to arrive hungry
We decided it was good but we wouldn't come back again.
Bahweep Granahweep Ninnybong
+4.5
Buffet at Crown casino. Stating the obvious, but don't come here unless you can eat at least 2-3 decent sized plates.
If you can...and enjoy over eating/indulging... there's everything one would want /
expect a good buffet to offer.
A really good, high class version of Sizzlers. Amazing range, food is fresh and everything delicious.
We have been several times now, and it never disappoints. All time slots are great, but make sure you leave yourself enough to to binge on everything!
We went here for lunch buffet. Fantastic variety of food! Most food are relatively fresh but the sushi was very dry. The cycle of food is fairly fast so you don't need to wait long when it runs out. The dessert bar was definitely a highlight! Would recommend booking.
Really good buffet. Yes, it is on the pricier side, but the spread is amazing and there is a tonne of variety! Have been multiple times for breakfast and dinner and have never been let down. It has gone under multiple changes over the years but it's still a great buffet if you don't mind the price tag.
The best buffet in Perth hands down. Yes, it is exy, but its the Crown and its an all you can eat seafood fest! A special treat for sure. Nice surrounds, good food for a buffet.
I really love the atrium! Personally I think the cost is really good value for money, especially for what you pay for one meal at most restaurants in Perth. Lots of choices/cuisines, food is delicious and fresh. Mouth-watering desserts as well! The chefs and staff are really friendly too. Great place for catching up with friends, the place is very modern and clean and there is a nice view if you sit near the windows. Plenty of vegetarian options so have never felt deprived! A go-to place for me when I am feeling super hungry.
So what's so special about this place? I wonder as well. The food is alright. Their biggest strengths are the wide selection, the range of cuisine they offer and the seafood section. That's about it for the food really. The actual food isn't going to blow your mind; it's what you expect. Also the seafood isn't necessarily fresh all the time. The atmosphere is nice with the comfortable seating and the openness of the Metropol. It's a nice place to dress fancy for a night of dining once in a while but it's pricey.
Although, if you manage to come here when there is a special, it may really blow your mind. A couple of special occasions a year like Boxing Day or Valentines Day, the restaurant will completely change it's menu for that day. Came here with the family on Boxing Day where there was a seafood special for $115 pp compared to the usual $65-75 pp dinners. What was memorable about that day was the all-you-can-eat Moreton Bay Bugs and crab claws, and the macarons and chocolates for dessert. It's really worth checking out Atrium when they have an event. But if it's the regular menu, it may be worth checking out once but after that its all the same.
Buffet. Can these ever be good? I'll give this one the fact that it is exceedingly fresh and nothing really screams salmonella. On a serious note it is great value and good for the family. The breakfast is good. As I realised in last nights dress after a ball (no nothing weird had gone on). It was just a shame my ex was the chef and no amount of explaining could really get me out of how the situation looked! Such is life. Bacon sandwich cured the embarrassment
Not worth it. After trying a few buffets now internationally, I'm quite disappointed in our experience at the Atrium. The value for quality is just not there, especially with a high class reputation. I get that a lot of things are pre-prepared but the freshness wasn't the best. Looked forward to a lot of the seafood dishes, but the alaskan crab was mushy. With a table of 7, for the cost we would have been better off going to a top restaurant and getting one nice dish each.
Came here for lunch. It's expensive but I guess you expect that for a buffet, which isn't very good value for me as I'm not a big eater! Still, they do have a good selection of dishes, with seafood, Western and Asian cuisines as well as different cakes and ice creams for dessert.
Lunch buffet on a Thursday was packed last week! $50 for a buffet in Perth, the atrium is pretty good value. Always a nice selection of western, Indian and Asian food and the dessert bar never disappoints! Only ever go for special occasions. The staff are great and clears the plates on our table really quickly so they don't get piled up on the table. The only complaint I have is the oysters not being fresh, they tasted yuck.
without a doubt, the best buffet in Perthalthough expensive, the quality of food and choices makes up for ita huge variety keeps you wanting more (even though your pants are about to split)
massive dessert options as well, many cakes and ice cream and a chocolate fountain to boot
will definitely be back
If you are super hungry this place will not disappoint. Been several times now and have always enjoyed it. The only negative is that there is SO MUCH food that I can't try it all! 😄 What can I say? Great quality & amazing variety for a smorgasbord. Not super cheap but for what you get its not bad value.
In the month of June, Crown club members enjoy a weekday lunch at the Atrium for 20% off plus free parking in the new multi-storey carpark. So why not? The seafood bar didn't disappoint. Fresh oysters, smoked salmon, succulent prawns etc. The asian station had chilli crab (although it was too salty for me), beef curries, fried rice, roast meats, dim sims etc The western station was a let down though, meats were tough and dry, roast vegetables were bordering on boring. The dessert station a happy place filled with cookies, cakes, ice cream, waffles and all things sweet and beautiful.
Service by an asian waitress was extremely attentive. Probably the best I've had so far at Crown. Everytime we left the table to go to the buffet, our plates were cleared, tables were tidy and water glasses topped up. I notice that she always looked around the section to see if customers needed attention. Unlike the many other wait staff I've come across when dining out, even at the finest restaurants, who purposely look straight ahead or on the floor as they fuss about their jobs.
Foodtopia. Im one of those people who wants to try everything that i see coming out of the kitchen so Atrium is perfect. It is litterally an international buffet and what i consider the very grown up version of Sizzler. best of all the desert bar is top shelf. Love this place!
Our to go to buffet during special events. Why? Because it is has the largest selection of food and desserts in Perth! It is a bit pricey but for people like me and my family, we get the value for our money because we eat a lot. Will definitely come back
Happy for Breakfast. -Monday- Had a very decent selection of breakfast food from cereals, danishs and Omelete station to dimsum and curries. The waffles were my favourite (add cinnamon sugar, maple syrup & cream oh so yummy I went there twice)- make sure you get the sq pieces which they iron there :)
My other favourite was the glutionous rice dumpling- it tasted like authentic Nonya cooking which was very nostalgic for me
It did however lack service; clearing was fine but the waiter only came to our table once to offer tea and coffee. Also I think only one chef smiled and greeted us, but pb cause he was aquainted to my friend.
Will definitely go back again but only when there's some discount, but $40 is a bit much.
Uk Visitors. I took my family from UK for buffet breakfast. We had the best breakfast. Variety and quality of food was good. Only criticism is the table service which is virtually non existent. Have been many times before and had great service with very friendly staff. This time surly and unhelpful. I think it is time crown did a retraining of staff to bring the service standard up to where it used to be
Dining. I like the atrium because of the variety of food but
Don't like how the seafood is not always fresh
Not a fan of buffet dining although this place does it well.
The buffet experience. My fam used to work at the Atrium.. so we went there a few times... I have tried dinner and also lunch.. even though the food are not fabulous, they are quite decent. The buffet selection is plentiful and varied.. my fav is the salad and the dessert section.. i like the atmosphere of the restaurant (its location at the hotel helps). I still come there once in a while..
Great staff! Great choice of food! Clean and crisp atmosphere! My favorite was the Asian or Oriental section. Lots of yummy food! Will go back! :)
Cant go wrong. Have been here a few times over the years, the menu tends to change every now and then but we have been satisfied every single time.
Where you literally cant go wrong is the variety - there is so much to choose from you would never leave hungry - I usually have to roll myself out the door!
Also think it is setup quite well, as you can imagine with big buffets comes bigger ques but in comparison to carvers, its really not that bad and well worth the wait.
It is a bit pricey ($79 p/head from memory) but its more than a simple buffet and with the range of seafood/meat/expensive produce you can definitely get your moneys/quantities worth.
Drink service has been a bit slow a couple times but there is usually a huge amount of tables dining so can be expected and just suck it up really.
Will definitely go back :)
Pretty good.... Yeah it's expensive but the place was packed and the selection was awesome. Apart from 1 or 2 chewy bits, the duck was superb and deserts were awesome. Will be back sometime.
Huge Buffet. Not usually a buffet fan but this was really extensive and worth the $45.......if you're hungry. Definitely go on an empty stomach. Service was ok, nothing to rave about. Lots of oldies obviously came on the retirement village bus for lunch. They certainly get vicious when they want something, lol. Lots of hands in the lolly jars filling their handbags up before heading home. I enjoyed lunch though and will return. Great selection!
Magic, family loved it... Food for all tastes...very very nice....left happy and full..
Love the range of sweets. Great selection all round.
The buffet was really nice & would go back without the kids as a couple of bread rolls to me doesn't equal $37.50 per kid
Lovely evening at Atrium. Had dinner at Atrium with my husband for my birthday, thought it was fantastic. We arrived and were greeted straight away by one of the managers and taken to our seats. We weren't keen on the location so asked if we could move tables and she said that was no trouble at all. She asked if it was a special occasion and when my husband said it was my birthday she ordered us 2 glasses of champagne on the house! The buffet is great, good selection of different foods, you will need to put the diet aside for the night because the desserts section is fantastic. The decor is nice and whole restaurant had a good atmosphere. Price is towards the high end ($75 per person) so wouldn't go every weekend but for a special occasion was perfect.
Buffet!!. Huge selection of food from east to west! dessert kiosk has beautifully crafted cakes~ extremely satisfying & it's also a good place for gatherings - everyone can pick what they want (if they are ok with the price). will definitely return!
Best Buffet in Perth!!!. OMG finally a buffet restaurant with endless choices/varieties! I wish I could sit there for hours to slowly sample everything! Endless varieties from western, indian, chinese, middle eastern and so on. Great variety of seafood spread! And the desserts are simply endless! I don't understand why some people complained of the prices cuz for the variety and endless choices of entrees, mains and desserts east as much as you want for $65 is truly great value! Plus the lovely wide space modern interior is great for a dining experience! AAA+++
Best buffett. Unbelievable buffett, quality of food excellent , presentation excellent , service n staff best so far in perth , wow there were so many dishes to try .... i cld live here theres something for everyone :) $75 bucks worth it
Its good food but would come more often if it wasnt so expensive. my kids dont eat much I think its just a waste !
Best buffet in town. One word: Amazing. Have been here about 10 times now. Something for everyone, and don't miss the dessert bar! Staff are fabulous and the food is great. #love
BEST EVER!!. We went to the Atrium for dinner before a show - OH MY GOODNESS!! I didn't realize that it had changed, it was AMAZING!! Loved it!! Will be back again!!
Absolutely wonderful! Definitely worth paying $65 per person. Favourite restaurant in Perth at this present moment. Totally worth it!
All you can eat and drink (wine, beer) for $100.. The variety of freshly prepared foods is fantastic. The food is great quality but the drinks are a little slow coming from the bar.
Keep an eye on the small things. I had to ask for a clean glass twice and noticed almost every water glass on every table was dirty.
Came for work dinner, it was very beautiful!! Not much vegetarian option but still the food we delicious. The dessert was stunning!!! Couldn't stop raving about it!!
Buffet Galore!. He: Choice, choice, choice! Very extensive spread of hot, cold, seafood and desserts. One of the best buffet restaurant in Perth.
She: Yummylicious! Leave room for desserts!
Rate: 8/ 10
Full price dinner doesn't worth at all as there isn't good variety of food. It's good to go for weekdays lunch with members offers to enjoy the atmosphere and being spoiled with good service and friendly staff.
Was a bit wary after reading the recent reviews when I went for breakfast, but was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality had improved and enjoyed it very much.
The selection was plentiful and really enjoyed everything, especially the waffles which were something you don't usually see at a breakfast buffet. staff were friendly and service was great, they cleared the tables regulary and refilled the teapot on a regular basis, very good value for money too.
Nice buffet with all the selections I love. Desserts section lacks in much variety but its okay I guess. Busy on a saturday night but still waitresses are fillingup water and always asking if you want to to order anything else apart from water.. Was great
Second visit just as good as first. This is my second visit to the Atrium, the last one was about a year ago and I was a little wary this time round due to the negative reviews. But to my surprise it was pretty good. The food was very tasty and there is a lot to pick from. My fave was the roast duck. We came here on a Saturday night and made sure we came a little early at 5:30. The place wasn't packed at this time so there are no lines for the food. Overall I must admit it is a little pricey, but well worth it.
Amazing buffet experience. Love the range. Everything's fresh (please keep it up). Loved the crayfish one time. Ditto for your cold cuts and salad selection. Appreciate those fresh oysters and sashimi. Good roasts and Asian choices, too. Missed the chocolate fountain another time. Hope you've got it back in action, especially with fresh strawberries (because that's about one of the few friendly things a person with nut allergies could have for dessert). We'll be coming back soon.
WOZZAS!. Wow, make sure you go hungry!!!! This place is great! everything you need! Personally the Asian was to die for! The fresh Oysters and prawns are also a winner! Huge fan! :)
This was was great for a birthday lunch. Food is delicious and has everything you want for a buffet. Have been several times and will keep coming back!
Variety. Early dinner before a show, all sort of cuisines, atmosphere good, food good but just your normal average type buffet, nothing to write home about. Dining date 17/4/13.
Great service , dishes cleared promptly and water top ups timely , the wait staff poured our wine which was nice . We sat down at about 6 pm and by 8 we had tried everything .we booked a couple of days before and loved our table which was a stand alone on the top floor , there were 8 of us and I think the favourite dishes for the night were the Peking duck / panna cotta with mango/ roast beef / dim sum/sorbet selections/ 3 kids loved the sushi and sashimi and the chocolate fondue.the service was really good the staff very polite and the buffet is fun . This was my first time here but everyone else had been several times before but I think I can say on everyones behalf that It was a really good night and we will return .. The casino really needs to sort out the parking situation though! we were lucky we parked early and had no probs but by the time we were leaving there were cars blocking exits , up on verges etc they are asking for trouble I think .
Great- Wanted to eat all night long. Great place to eat. Lots of variety. Only negative was the plates were low and a lot of them were dirty, like a clean plate lottery.
Fantastic with kids. Enjoyed buffet lunch here with husband and two children aged 10 and 12. We all thoroughly enjoyed the choices, and the dessert selection was superb.
WOW! Loved it, will be back!!!. I went here on an anniversary with my wife, had the best time injuring my stomach from memory. Tried as much as I could to tasted everything available, just wasn't possible. Well possible if you have tiny shots of everything but that would be just teasing.
If I want to go somewhere for an amazing feast, it's here.
A great Sunday brunch. Have been to the Atrium buffet several times for their Sunday brunch and we're pleased every time. A great way to spend 2-3 hours over different foods, backed up by un-ending champagne (or as much as you feel like).
Get a strawberry from the fruit salad and chuck it into your champagne glass - see how big it gets by the time you leave :-)
Wonderful food. My wife and I have been hear three times now and find the food fantastic have never had a problem , I have found there is a wonderful amount of food to choose from .. We would go more but it does cost alittle more for the enjoyment of it ..
Yummo. Very very nice!! always fresh and plenty of choices!!!!
Great breakfast. Been here twice, first time 2 years ago for dinner (we enjoyed it but expected more) second time recently for breakfast, i have to say the breakfast is very impressive, i was full before i got to try all i wanted to, and the service is great...this has now become one of my new breakfast favourites.
I would go back. The buffet was great. It was well maintained, nicely laid out and there was an excellent choice of foods and condiments.
The dessert were very poor though. They were all very tasteless. They looked a lot better than they tasted.
The service was quite good.
Best buffet in town!. I recommend the atrium to anyone looking for a decent buffet meal. i have heard many people say it is over priced however i think you definetly get your moneys worth there. i always leave with fond memoires and look forward to when i return.
Too many choices, wish I could eat everything. Love the salmon sashimi, dim sum, cold plate seafood and dessert paradise. Simply delicious. My stomach hurts =p
Great. Big buffet..... Kids will love it
Not a cheap night but you will not be disappointed with the selection.
Casino still sucks but the atrium is good for a meal
Love the dim sum section and being able to make my own Peking duck crepes!
Quality sparkles here!. Do you want quality food at an amazing price in a 5 star setting? this is the place to go. I was blown away by the choice and quality here. something for everybody - what a nice way to spend 2 hours of your life.
Huge choice. Love the huge selection of food. Some of the hot food is so so but with all the good quality seafood to feast on who cares. Loved the desert station, its the best in Perth. Its just a shame of some of the clients that frequent the place infact everyone i know dosn't call it Crown but call it boganville as of all the low class trailer park trash. Maybe Crown should have some sort of a dress code.
Best Buffet By Far!. Forget Sizzlers and Miss Mauds- this is the most expensive buffet- but I think its by far the best. There is every type of food imaginable- the dessert bar I think is exceptional- they even had honey running off honey comb.
Staff were very attentive and cleared your plates without haste. I also found that they folded your napkin every time you left the table which I think was a nice touch instead of just standing around.
COME HUNGRY!
Had lunch at Atrium today. Not my first time but well exceeded my expectations. An excellent feast of fine quality. Very satisfied!!
There are five food stations, scrumptious seafood, Asian, Western, dishes, an array of cheeses as well as a dessert station. An extensive spread. Had a wonderful lunch without overdoing my food intake.
Good Hotel Buffet Fare. The thing I like about Atrium, as with most other people who frequent this place, is the concept of All-you-can-eat. I doubt anyone actually comes here to have their senses blown away or to experience cultural delicacies from around the globe. You come here to stuff your face and indulge in gluttonous piggery.
The Atrium provides a generous array of Asian and traditional Western food. They also have a good selection of cold foods i.e. sliced meats, salads, antipasti, cheese and seafood. So whatever cravings you have, chances are there is something here for you. The dessert station is also a cheeky favourite. There are all sorts of tiny cakes, mousse's, waffles and ice-creams to choose from. Having said that, the Hyatt one-ups the Atrium in the buffet dessert department.
Yes, the meat is dry, yes the food is made en-mass, yes, it lacks creativity, but what else do you expect for buffet-style dining? Of course the meat will lack flavour, tenderness and juice after sitting in a bain-marie. However, I always leave satisfied, over-indulged and slightly bloated and for that, I give this place a high five.
We ate at the Atrium on Thursday. This is my first time back since Crown has taken over. The Mains are much better: Roasts, Asian (wonderful... That duck, yum!), Indian, great variety. Personally, though, I think the dessert section has gone down since it's been redone (where is my big bowl of chocolate mousse?). Overall it has improved and I liked it before.
Went there for dinner love the seafood section... So fresh, good quality and lots to eat. I will go back there again soon.
Great service! Hit and misses with the dishes....been here many times on weekends/weekday dinners. I usually have the duck first, then didn't have spring onion, only the cucumber. Shows a bit of inconsistency once in a while.
Dinner @ Atrium. Friday Night drinks led to more drinks at the new look Crown Casino Perth. I use to cringe walking through the Casino about 1 year ago but now it has some of Perths finest eateries and night spots. The Merrywell had a 45 wait for food and the booze needed to be soaked up, so with the Entertainment Book Gold Card (25% off) The four of us headed over to the Atrium. Cuisines on offer were Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Seafood and LOTS of Desserts. Highlights were the Seafood, Pecking Duck, BBQ Pork, Waffles and one of my favourites ... Yorkshire Pudding's!! All in all it was a pleasure and the service was top notch. Ended up costing $60 each including a bottle of wine. Roulette picked up the bill!! Until next time ... 8/10
Be hungry!. It is expensive, but it is supposed to be upper class diner, the downfall of this is you find yourself asking "Can I even eat $40-$60 worth of food?". I do love the place though it has a wide range of variety, from salads, to pasta and a variety of toppings, Indian cuisine as well as Japanese. As I am a sweet tooth my favourite is the dessert bar, there's a variety of cakes, lollies, chocolate, ice cream, fruit, and waffles which you can choose to coat with cream, butter, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and other yummy toppings!; and lastly there is an amazing fondue fountain! It's a great place to go for birthdays or any special occasion.
Came here for a family members birthday and there was about 8 of us, there is a great range of types of food, and was all fresh and very delicious, great service and received a free piece of birthday cake. :D would go again for another special occasion :D

Beautiful food, great service can't get enough of it, would go more often if the price was a little lower per head but for the quality of food there its still worth it! A++
Awesome!!!!!!!. Finally I can say I enjoy a good breakfast or brunch in perth!!!! Took my dad for his birthday and we can't complain about the variety, quality and service:) worth the $59 per head and would highly recommend for large numbers:)
Buffet was good value with lobster and crab included on Monday's. How ever getting told ar 840 that we had to order our coffee because they were closing the bar was a bit disappointing. At nearly $70 a head surely they could still make coffee while the place was open.
Good Food. Have enjoyed numerous meals at the Atrium. The recent renovations have lifted the mood of the room as well as the choice of dishes. Is kid friendly which I certainly appreciate. Christmas dinners at the Atrium have been a family highlight in recent years. Not cheap, but they put on a good show.
Desserts. Save your stomach for the dessert bar. It is to die for! The icecream is amazing. I had 6 scoops haha. Everything else is really average.
Feast for a king. It was our first time trying the newly improved Atrium buffet since they upgraded a couple of years ago. What can I say? The wide selection blew us away, there was something for everyone but our favourite was the dimsum section where you can make your own peking duck rolls, fantastic! Like everyone else, I didn’t like the idea of allocated sitting hours, surely the whole idea of a buffet is to eat all you can as long as you want to? But to be fair to Atrium, we couldn’t have stuffed another morsel in pass the allocated time.
The down side to the buffet? The Japanese sushi and sashimi counter was below average, the quality of the sashimi wasn’t great at all (but seems to be the norm of Perth sashimi standards), also, while we loved the oysters, the Alaskan king crabs are partially frozen and had that partly thawed feel, such a waste of crab. Remember to leave space for the dessert which includes freshly made waffles. Great for a huge pig out and at least you won’t be bored.
It was ok. Very expensive and this time I notice seafood - oysters and prawns were tiny.
Atriawesome. Delicious food, awesome selection, with the all you can eat tag, your never leaving hungry... To top it off, the dessert buffet was the best I have ever seen.
Only negative was that due to the size we got a table for two pretty far away from the buffet.
Other than that, 10/10
Went to the atrium about 3 weeks ago loved it the food the service the overall enjoyment of the night really good
Must go for the dessert!. The buffet overall is your standard buffet fare that you will find at most hotels around the world and the price is around the same, what is not standard though is the ultimate selection of desserts available! Of course it's not justifiable to pay $69 for just the dessert, but the range of dishes available are brilliant and good value for money.
Best buffet brekky!. Went to the Atrium on Sunday for the brunch menu. we arrived at 8am and were seated promptly with tea and coffee offered immediately.
the quality and quantity and choice of food was fantastic! take your pick from standard breakfast menu items like scrambled eggs, fried eggs, hash browns, baked beans, bacon strips etc and add fritattas, fillet beef medallions, salmon fillets, spring rolls, samosas, dim sum, sushi, dhal and the list goes on!
nice range of breads to toast, danish, muffins, cupcakes, ice cream, waffles and pancakes!
definitely the best buffet in town!
Sunday is brunch so you can stay till 2pm and have lunch as well (they change the food items around 11ish i think) and the Atrium accepts the entertainment book discount of 25% off the bill up to $50 and accept up to 3 cards for each bill.
Family events or just a fun night. Excellent atmosphere and such a choice of food. Look you wont like everything but you are just about guaranteed to find courses to satisfy, chose oysters, great prawns and fresh fish or good Indian or asian or Aussie! come on its a buffet for goodness sake, get into the spirit and have some fun (easy!) the place is stylish and the staff I found a dream on the Wednesday night I went. One piece of salient advise though, save plenty of room for dessert...you will not be able to resist! Best value in Aus for $60 worth every cent.
Went here for my birthday and Anniversary. Loved it both times! An amazing place great food and even got complimentry cake and wine for my birthday. Definetly a place I would like to return to over and over. Only down fall is the price and they don't do group discounts.
Expensive. This place is expensive so I wouldn't eat here if your a picky eater or vegetarian (Like I am) I can usually go for the same things so I don't get a lot of variety. But the food is generally good, I've had good service here as well. The dessert bar is awesome, they have some really nice little treats in there.
It's not a place I would go back to all the time as I would rather pay the money for good food rather than buffet food.
Best place in Perth. Hands down, the nicest place in Perth and definitely get bang for your buck.
It is on the expensive side but the choice and quality of food at the buffet is fantastic! My family and I have been here 3 times this year and will certainly be back for more!
Best Perth Buffet. Went there for my 40h with a table of family and friends. The range of food was fantastic and all so fresh. From the prawns, sushi, sushmi were exquisite for a buffet. Even had complimentary champagne at the bar included. Ambience with the renovation is very impressive.. Highly recommend people to come back to this place. If you havent been back to the atrium since it was renovated I suggest you do.
Saturday 28 jan, lunch. Had a good time...really enjoyed the waffles made by the dessert lady chef, kind staff. But the senior sous chef need some manners, he shouted in front of me n other customers waiting in the queue : ice cream bowl mate" to the buffet boy... where r u in a fish market?? otherwise nice food ...cheese and chocolate mousse
Great selection of food. Went to Atrium for dinner for me and my niece's birthday with my family. We went during the 5pm seating. Service was slow but tolerable. Managed to get our requests sorted out after a few minor issues. There were lots of choices of food, from Chinese, Indian, and Japanese. The steaks were delicious, but the lamb tangine was my absolute favourite. Give the yum cha a miss - I'd rather go to a Chinese restaurant to have yum cha. The desserts were great, much, much better than before renovations, and muuuuch better than Carvers' selections. The icecream was a highlight - the apple sorbet was so delicious, and the cookies and cream was also sooooo good. Great with the waffles there, too! The panna cotta was nice, too.
There is a queue for the icecream nearing the end of the sitting, though, so go early if you don't want to wait. It's not a long wait, though, probably a few minutes, depending on the queue.
I would definitely go again. It's great for families or large groups.
Finally a great buffet in Perth. I am a vegetarian to start with - Even I had hell lot of options to choose from. Great food, great selection - worth $50 for lunch.
Customer service may improve a little - but hey ! its not bad.
Upgraded. This place has been massively upgraded with the renovations going on at Burswood and is a credit to the establishment. Good food and variety. will be back. At $65 per head slightly on the expensive side.
Good as buffets go but not a la carte quality. At the $59 to 65 per person price point not great value. Amazing variety particularly the desserts.
Pricey. My husband and I came here for breakfast on a Sunday and arrived about 11am.. food was okay.. I wouldn't say the rennos have done a lot. I mean it certainly looks better and the dessert bar is yummy but I just can't justify the price especially when the hyatt's breakfast is 38 and much nicer.
We had been waiting for it to reopen after its refurbishment. Unfortunately the water feature is gone but the ambience is very nice for a large venue buffet restaurant. The Barramundi and Sashimi are our favorites as are the waffles and ice cream mess for sweets. We have been there three times this year and the food tastes fresh every time, the service is impeccable, sincere and friendly. I am not usually a fan of buffets but the Atrium is very good. At one of those visits we had a 23 minute wait in the cocktail bar for 2 drinks, the table wasn't cleared when we arrived and 13 other people who arrived/ordered drinks after us got served first!? So avoid the cocktail bar and enjoy a glass of wine with your dinner instead. : ) friendly!
Much improved. Food was fresh and yummy. Asian food was good and roasts were amazing. Contrary to popular opinion, I thought the mains were better than dessert. I think my idea buffet would be mains of Atrium and dessert of Cafe at the Hyatt.
Great Atmosphere/Average Food. Love the decor. Food all looks amazing but doesn't have a lot of taste. The dessert bar is fantastic and there are many to choose from (but there seemed to be a lot of gelatin in them - like the chocolate mousse). Overall, a great place to go for the atmosphere alone and because of the huge selection, there is something for everyone.
What can I say? Nice atmosphere, cocktails deeeeelish, buffet with ridiculous amounts of seafood and a desert buffet to die for? Perfection :)
Buffet!!!! =D. Been there a few times after it has been newly renovated - great variety of food. I personally reckon it is good to go during weekdays e.g. lunch... coz it's cheaper and the food is sorta similar to the ones they have on the weekend.. although they do serve oysters and crabs on the weekend dinner time but it's almost like double the price. They have great service as well. And when you have a party or something.. just tell them when u make a booking.. then all guests get a glass of complimentary champagne and a cake =D
Mass upgrade of selection. Definately upped their game compared to a couple of years ago. I noticed a couple of people complaining about slow service... who goes to a buffet looking for great service? you pick up a plate and load it up with food and have a drink.
I have been to the Atrium a few times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I never had had a bad experience. There is a large variety of food that will suit everyone. The wine waiters are slow and you do have to chase them to have your water glass refilled. The desert bar is a huge disappointment from when they first re-opened, each time I go I have noticed a decline in quality of the desserts
Love it, some staff not very friendly, otherwise great. Also in the entertainment book :)
Go for the huge selection not the service. The food selection was amazing and there was definitely something for everyone here. I love the idea of live stations and the quality of the food was top notch for a buffet of that size. My personal favourite were the ginormous oysters, fresh sashimi and peking duck pancakes.
Drink service however was ridiculous. We were sitting right next to the bar yet it took a good 10-15mins for our drinks to come out. Other than that I would definitely go back to try the dishes I missed, including the dessert!
Quantity over quality - but still a nice buffet. The new renovated Atrium buffet is impressive.
The moment you arrive, this large buffet greets you with modern decor and a full house. The style of the buffet has also changed to 'stations' where there are roasts (beef/lamb/hot veges); Asian (dimsum, duck); Seafood (smoked trout, oysters, prawns etc...); cold meat and cheese. There is also a pasta and soup station for those interested in more generic food.
Quantity is certainly there and you are totally spoilt for choice. More so than any other buffet in Perth.
So where are we let down? Plenty of areas unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, I like this buffet but it's far from perfect. Service is abrupt and the waitstaff inexperienced for a 5 star hotel. They obviously haven't had the training of the Hyatt where your dishes are certainly not on your table and your napkin folded before you return to your table.
The roasts were overdone and similar to any other carvery. Nothing special at all. Same deal with the duck - very average and probably below par when compared to most good Chinese roasting duck places. The pancakes floury. Soup & cold foods seem to be the mass produced type. Heck, most of the food is. Oysters were definitely not fresh given their texture. Prawns and sashimi were. Cold meats were not.
Dessert is a combination of minature cakes, produce with a chocolate fountain and icecream station. The waffles came out of a packet or that's what they look an taste like. But the icecream and the remainder of the dessert is fine.
The place is also let down by it's clientele. The polite gentile probably visit the new Rockpool. Here, we have asians and other people scrambling over the oysters, picking all the cherries off the black forrest cake, skimming all the prawns from the seafood dishes, putting their dirty plates on empty, clean tables.
The new Atrium has quantity and choice. But this is it's main downfall as other aspects have deteriorated.
I like it. But only just. 6/10.
Nice Reno. I thoroughly enjoyed a visited to the newly renovated Atrium Restaurant. I have previously been to the restaurant, but the new make-over was also accompanied with a wider range of cuisines which I was quite delighted with. The restaurant provided a nice ambiance, which was not too loud, great to carry out conversations. Good to see the standard of restaurants improving in Perth, and will be a great contender for the buffet restaurant of the year.
Great improvement since the reopen. The renovations not only made this a casual yet classy place for a buffet breakfast but now offers something truly international and impressive. Great food, ok service.
Lovely Time. We went for dinner on a Tuesday evening - loved the renovations and there was a great variety to choose from. I was amazed at the oysters how fresh, plumb, and large they were mmmm. The only disappointment was the waiter who was very slow to remove our dishes and serve us drinks. We ate our dessert around our old dishes and he wasn't anywhere to be scene when I would have liked a wine with dinner. He arrived at our table just as we were finishing dessert and then asked us if we would like to order a drink. We settled with water and it had been an hour since our last drink. Staff including the waiter were friendly and it wasn't too busy on a Tuesday evening between 7pm - 8.30pm. We will back and the desserts are to die for.
Ate too much. This place is casual but at the the same time it has a touch of class. The food was very good, plenty to choose from. I ate too much because i never saved room for desert and it was so yummy i had more than i should. Wait staff were very pleasant. Very slow at serving for drinks was the only real let down. Went on a Tues night at 7pm and was about half full.
Definitely one of the better buffets o have been to. Desserts are epic. Setting is pretty killer also. Would definitely give it a run
Has good desserts and seafood. Mains are just okay. Tends to get very busy. Try to go on a Tuesday or a weekday lunch, less crowded and better service.
Awesome Desserts!. Their buffet is quite good. I have been here both on a tuesday lunchtime, when they had a cheap 2 for the price of 1 offer available, and also on the weekend for dinner (saturday night). Weekends the food seemed somewhat better with more choice. Queueing for food can be a bit annoying, so I would recommend arriving either right on opening time or towards the end of the night, when its quieter. Their desserts are awesome, including fresh fruit which you can dip into a large chocolate fondue fountain.
If you haven’t eaten in The Atrium in Perth…what are you waiting for! I decided not to post my review until I had been to two different sittings. My first sitting was on a Sunday evening and the second was for Sunday lunch.
The family and I, thoroughly stuffed, waddled out impressed with the large selection of breakfast foods on offer covering a range of different cuisines. It was certainly value for money too, for $25 a head inclusive of complimentary drinks such as orange juice, sparkling water, and pineapple juice, with tea and coffee also on order. The deal also promoted a complimentary glass of sparkling wine each, however the general consensus was that it was too early in the morning for a bit of alcohol. In terms of service it was professional and attentive. We were seated quickly by some lovely waitresses who offered us tea, coffee, water and wine and who would often come by to clear away the growing pile of dirty dishes that were accumulated, all with a sunny smile. A beautiful breakfast treat.
If you ever need a buffet, especially if you have a dad who has a sweet tooth and is a generally fussy eater, the Atrium should do the trick.
The Atrium buffet is immense. There are several different sections, seafood, salads & deli, Asian and traditional carvary. For me, someone that loves to try a bit of this and a bit of that, I was literally like a kid in a candy store.
Why Yes I Do Eat Constantly
+4.5
I have two contacts who work at the Atrium, and both of them gave me the same advice: don't eat too much of the mains, and save as much room as you can for dessert. However, I have an annoying tendency to do exactly the opposite of what people tell me to do... especially when it is good advice...
For $39.90 per head for lunch (check pricing during weekends etc), the range on offer is unbeatable. There’s a range of dishes from a variety of cuisines that should please everyone. I think what let down the offering was the lack of consistency in flavour. The dishes weren’t horrible by any means but while the Asian dishes were delicious, the others were let down in taste and could have been a shade more tender. The same went for the desserts. The eclair was excellent and some other cakes not bad. The waffle was passable and one can eat better outside while the ice creams were enjoyable. I think if you want a range of cuisines, for the price it’s worth a visit. Given parking is $15 for the day, it’s worth becoming a Club Burswood member for free which entitles you to other discounts amongst parking and the Atrium. Entertainment cardholders get 25% off up to $40.
The Breakfast Confidential
+4.5
The best part about this place is that you can have WHATEVER you want. Feel like dim sum with a side of scrambled eggs? No problem! Wants some curry with that waffle? Go right ahead! Want to to pile your plate high with every big breakfast ingredient ever? Sure thing! The only limit is your imagination and there is just something quite decadent about going to the Crown for breakfast.
The food and the spread of the cuisine was outstanding. The restaurant was very nice, clean and welcoming. It presented Chinese food, Indian food, Japanese food, Australian roast beef, pork, etc, pasta and the seafood paella was excellent. Finally, the ending desserts were so satisfying consisting of different pastries, ice creams and sweets. Service wise, the staff were attentive and friendly. The lunch menu buffet is really good and you have 12-2pm $58 per person for it :) give it a go. $78 for the dinner menu you have 530-930pm. Check their website out for details.
By far the best buffet experience that I ever have!! It's my 2nd time to dine at Atrium Buffet and it never failed me. We went for my birthday celebration with my small family and we just enjoyed all the foods and the ambiance in the restaurant. Reasonable price, awesome staff and the foods are very tasty and yummy!! The best part is the seafood part of the buffet from scallops baked with butter , crabs in sauce or just plain, prawns and etc. which I enjoyed the most and don't forget the dessert area too. It was an awesome and such a memorable night with me and my boys and my tummy is very happy.
Must say this was a great lunch buffet we had today. Plenty of seafood to choose from, Asian dishes, roast pork, beef, lamb pork crackling was delicious. Huge range of deserts, puddings, cakes, ice cream. Lollies. Staff were very efficient in removing empty plates from your table and refilling water. For $55 it was a great lunch for us.
Delicious food. Asian food was delicious. The Italian station was not that great. The dessert bar was amazing, however it seems to be much smaller than exactly one year ago.
We have tried the Atrium Buffet three times between Dec-Feb to experience their variety across Christmas, Lunar New Year and normal menu.
We enjoyed the variety of hot and cold, western & eastern, and various sweets choices.
The hot noodle station ranges from tom yum noodle, to laksa noodle across the different days. With the costs ranging from $45 to $70 per person for lunch during the last three month, the value for money will depend on when you go.
Seafood wise, we found the oysters fresh and tasty enough, and while the salmon sashimi were fresh & tasty, they were quite cut quite wasteful thick per slice as stated by other reviewers.
Service wise, it’s a mixed experience as we had services that range from mediocre to fantastic across the three dining days.
Tip 1: for lunchtime dining, it would be better to dine in the upper level because the sunlight can get quite hot and glaring during dining while the sun moves slowly westward because of the glass roof.
Tip 2 : Crown offers 10% discount off the bill for your birthday month if you join their free Rewards program, which also include free glass of sparkling wine for each adult, and a box of chocolate for the birthday member. Remember to ask the waiter for the wine and chocolate as some of them may not be aware.
Not too bad
But only thing I liked mango ice cream and green tea cake are the best
Other than that bit disappointed than I expect it.
All taste like Chinese food.
But it was packed with people.
Overall 4.25/5
Food 4.25/5
Environment 4.25/5
Service 4.25/5
Had a good time at the Atrium last night. They have appeared to have lifted their game.
Standouts for me was the choice of Pacific and Rock oysters, the spicy tom yum, roast beef, acar and variety of beautifully presented desserts. Needless to say, I devoured the prawns too.
I was so full, so I gave the scallops and chilli mussels a miss this time.
Recommend you give it another go if it’s been a while or if you’ve only been going to Epicurean.
Lines are still a thing (to get in as well as to get to the different sections). But get there early and you’ll be first to most things.
