The Flour Factory is a most attractive place – heavy jarrah tables and an eye-catching bar, its fascia made of jarrah offcuts, comfortable chairs, striking light fittings, it really has a great look and feel, with a large window adorned with the name peeping out over Queen Street. The wine list at Flour Factory is small but thoughtfully put together with a good range of prices, varieties and regions represented. A bottle of Castelli Estate 2017 Great Southern Riesling called and exceptional it proved – lemon blossom and baked quince aromas; crunchy juicy palate of lime pith, green apple skins and lemon juice the bright acid lingering on and on…
Stopped in on the way home from work on my own. Had a delish mushroom.gnocchi and the broccolini. Loved the lemon labnah that came with it. Service was great with helpful and friendly staff. Not many Vegetarian options if that's what your looking for
Incredibly good food and wonderful collection of gins. We opted for the "feed me" menu and were not disappointed, food was excellent. I'd also recommend using the spin-the-wheel option for gin, I loved the two ones I ended up with. And finally, must mention the service - absolutely fantastic, our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and super accommodating for our dietary requirements. All around wonderful experience.
I had a catchup with my girlfriends. We chose the feed-me menu. The waitress asked if we have any dietary requirements. Our dietary requirements were no goats cheese, no lamb and no cauliflower.
We had all these food for sharing between 3 of us.
MIXED MEATS
a combination of cured meats, pickles & crackers
GIN & BEETROOT CURED SALMON
pickled beets, horseradish cream
MARG RIVER BRAISED BEEF CHEEKS (GF)
parsnip cream, brussels sprouts, capers
LILYDALE CHICKEN (GF)
harissa rubbed half chicken, pomegranate,
lime & mint yoghurt
BROCCOLINI (GF)
honey soy glaze, fried chilli, garlic chips, spiced nuts
DUCK FAT WASHED POTATOES (GF)
garlic aioli
The food selection was really good and sufficient for all of us. We have enough food.
They have a gin wheel and you can spin it for $12 for a selection of Gin.
My girlfriend wanted to have hot tea but unfortunately, they don't serve hot tea as we are told. We are a little disappointed.
We also used our entertainment book for a discount which is a decent discount on the food and drinks we ordered.
Dined here alone when traveling for work. Impressive looking venue. I was seated in the restaurant area rather than the bar. It can sometimes be difficult to order well from sharing type menus when I'm dining alone but I had no trouble here. The crab and apple donuts (little buns) were amazing and the alfajores (biscuit with dulce de leche and raspberry) was great for a small dessert after eating too much dinner. Service was very good and the price was decent too.
The flour factory provides a very rustic and industrial feel - albeit being seated in the far corner. The different selections of bread was very good, but I felt like the food was alright - especially for the price.
Amazing cocktails and Spicy Salami pizza.......perfect on a cold winters day sitting on the lounges by the window. Great friendly service !!! Foodlover
Went for dinner for a friend's birthday. We were seated in the bar as we had a big table. We had the 'feed me' menu. This was a great idea for such a large table. There was a good amount of food and most dishes were very tasty. The potatoes are delicious as to was the mushrooms dish and slow cooked lamb/beef? Meat just fell off the bone and there was plenty of it for everyone. Only dish we thought was quite average was the roast chicken. It was also not cut into enough pieces for the whole table which made it a little awkward serving wise. Love the roast garlic on bread. The main downside for me is the bar area is extremely noisy when it's busy, add loud music and you have to yell to talk to the people right next to you. I was losing my voice after an hour. I have eaten here before in the restaurant area which is quieter. If you want to have a conversation without yelling suggest asking to eat in the restaurant. Overall however it was an enjoyable evening.
Food: 3/5
Service: 5/5
Price: over priced in my opinion
Parking: Just cpp parking around city
Menu: limited food menu
Would I come back? Probably not
Lovely atmosphere and hip industrial vibes
The waitress was very attentive an lovely
There is a larger bar area and also a seperate dining area
The kitchen seemed to be underground so could see all the poor staff going up and down the stairs
First of all, menu was very limited and was overall disappointed with the food
Nothing really stood out and flavours were all a bit dull for my personal taste
The mushrooms and duck fat potatoes were the best
The others average, esp the beef which was very overcooked
I would perhaps come back for a cocktail or for a side of chips and a drink-most likely not for dinner
But for a date, worth trying out as vibes are nice!
Nice venue, but for me a touch over priced.
I came here with one other person, we ordered the recommended amount of food, but unfortunately left feeling a bit hungry.
The food was very nice, the staff friendly, and service excellent.
We came here to celebrate world gin day with some fun spins on the gin wheel. So worth it! $10 a spin and even if you land on a cheapy gin, the bartenders will somehow embellish it and give you a romantic back story of its origins. I haven't tasted the food yet but the aromas were delicious so will do so at the next visit.
An absolute treat. The food, atmosphere and service set this place apart. Outstanding value for money and has to be one of Perth city's little treasures.
I have been there twice now. The 1st time they charged a huge amount for a neat shot of hippocampus gin. This time round I went for the Eat Sip stroll event and the food and wine was nice but nothing really blew my mind.
The staff were the most positive part of our evening, they were really attentive, friendly and could tell their knew what they were talking about when it came to the food and booze. We sat in the dining part around the corner from the bar, it was a little noisy as we thought the dining area would be tucked more away from the bar, but nothing really to complain about. Food was great, best parts of the night were the duck fat potatoes and the mushroom Nutella dessert. Great selection of booze of course
Excellent food! Great presentation, even better taste! We loved the intimacy and personal nature of the small restaurant. Meals are on the slightly fancy side, and drinks on the slightly expensive side, but not too crazy. We will make it a regular restaurant choice!
Nice bar and atmosphere, friendly staff. Limited choice of food but long menu for drinks. Good for a group of friends. They change menu quite often so some dishes I found attractive on Zomato is no longer available which is a shame. I had mushroom forest for dessert and love it. Great dinner in general!
This place is nice place to visit. It has a great buzz & the staff are quite friendly. We dined with a table of four & took the $55 feed me option. Every dish had awesome flavours especially the duck fat potatoes. Definitely be back for another crack at this place.
This was a very cool place to meet friends. it is in an old flour factory and looks great. We had great drinks and a fantastic meal. lots of share plates of great quality food. even though it was really busy the service was exceptional.
Since transforming from the Venn Bar, I haven’t yet made a visit to The Flour Factory despite being right next door to where I work. The former flour mill has been transformed into an intriguing space spanning 3 levels and includes a large bar area as well as offering dining. Offering a range of tapas style dishes, if you can’t decide what to get, just go with the feed me menu.
We certainly didn’t leave hungry and were unable to finish all the food brought before us. Bit disappointed to leave those duck fat potatoes behind which were a highlight, they really were done well. Lots of variety and good flavours, at $55 per person, it’s an excellent choice.
My family and I went here last night for my dad's birthday, and we had an incredible experience! The staff were so friendly and knowledgable (even the chefs came over and asked how our meal was!), they were playing some incredible 80s anthems and the atmosphere was wonderful. We all ordered the 'Chef's Selection' where they can show off and make you whatever they like, and it was incredible! We had more than enough food and it was exquisite - they even wrote happy birthday on the plate for my dad. They also catered for my mum as she doesn't like red meat.
We had the most wonderful time, thank you so much for making the evening special. I've told everyone that will listen about it, and i'll definitely be coming back! :)
It was clear the potatoes were picked on a Tuesday and not a Thursday as they should have been. The waitress was blond which somehow affected the entire evening. Could not believe the use of western
cedar over jarrah decor. This place should be shut down. And if you believe all this, then you should be rolled in flour and set alight.
Absolutely brilliant food, service, and setting. The flavours in the food were magnificent. There was even national celebrities present for a gander.
What a place! Go, just go and marvel at one of the hospitality industries finest. I found it a pleasure at all levels, particularly the innovations around the gin list, the food and the superb fit out.
Food was good and the service was friendly and quite fast. Had a good beverage list but did feel the drinks were on the high side in regards to the $'s
We decided to do after work drinks at Flour Factory. It was packed on a Friday night. Atmosphere was buzzing, drinks were made well and service was good. Cool decor. My whiskey sour and gin martinis were on point. It's a tad pricey, charging $1-2 more than they should for drinks (Perth prices🙄). In saying that I'd still come back and check out the food.
Absolutely incredible! Don't know why it's only got 3.4!!! Food was some of the best I have ever had. We got the prosciutto pizza and gnocchi. Would 100% recommend. Service was also amazing. The guys were so lovely and did their best with how busy they were. Will definitely go back!
We had an awesome experience at The Flour Factory. Warm and cozy, perfect lighting and comfy seating in a tres cool environ. Delicious charcuterie and the pizzas and hotdogs were on point. Dip me in flour now.
Being the steak lover that I am, I did not pass out on the chance to try their Wagyu Rump - cooked medium rare and flavour blending perfectly well. Wth onions, romesco, and rosemary jus, what could possibly go wrong? The only down side of visiting this place is the waiting time for food. Every time we come here, we have to wait for at least 20 minutes, give or take, for our food to be served on our table, and it does not usually come out altogether. One would always be served ahead of the others making the wait a bit of a torture. But everything else is amazing.
Wow.
My partner and myself went to The Flour Factory tonight and it was honestly unreal.
First of all the service was insanely good, greeted as we walked in, I told the waitress (Rochelle I believe) that we had a booking and she found us a table straight away. As she was sitting us down she asked us how both of our day had been, it's something small but it was really nice.
We sat down and enjoyed the amazing decor and atmosphere, Rochelle helped us with our wine choice and gave us information and a taster on a glass of wine she recommended, she then was helpful and told us about the food she liked on the menu.
The wine and the food was really good. We shared three small dishes and were extremely full afterwards.
The service given by the other staff was also very good and the prices were definitely affordable.
The Flour Factory is a modern but elegant restaurant it is perfect for a small group/date, it has incredible food with a vibrant atmosphere that won't cost you much.
We will definitely be back!!!
Great vibe and atmosphere here - bar on one side and restaurant surrounding. Can be a bit noisy for a quiet dinner though. But first I must compliment our waitor Geoffrey - fantastic service, attentive, polite and informative - a rare find these days. Food wise we had the Paella Bomb, Duck Fat Fried Potato, Black Rice & Clams and Pork & Fennel pizza. Very filling - top points were the Paella bombs were creamy, nice crispy crumb shell. The rice and clams were delicious - so many flavours and textures at play here with the chorizo, seas urchin and salmon roe. For dessert we decided on the platter - a bit of all their dessert choices. The Feijoa Icecream was 😍😍 - coconut mousse, coconut snow and vanilla macaroon - melt in your mouth snow, all components just complimented and made a great dessert. The honey cake was so so, and chocolate mousse with crumble and mint was nice but nothing standout. Great dinner and service overall.
Really nice fit-out - good spot for an after work drink.. Good cocktails and friendly staff .. charcuterie platter was huge with a fantastic range of cheeses, meats, terrines etc .. The biggest bowl of bread I've ever seen! Pizzas and hot dogs where tasty .. I'd go back

They have lamb bacon..... Nuff said.
Went here for a friends birthday a while back. Had the charcuterie board very tasty. Great atmosphere, bar staff were fun... Pretty sure the owner was behind the bar serving/making us cocktails. Fun times :)
My wife and I had dinner at the flour factory this evening. It was very quiet, with only a few other groups having meals and drinks at the bar.
The venue is great, with a nice rustic, ambient atmosphere. We were seen to promptly by one of the waitstaff and were able to pick our table. After being seated, we were given a complimentary greeting drink of vermouth mixed with citrus and sparkling water - similar to lemon, lime and bitters, and a nice touch to start the evening.
We started with the charcuterie plate at $35. It was beautiful, with high quality meats and an awesome pate; the only letdown was that it came with 4 small slices of bread, which didn't seem like much considering the amount of meats etc. The bread, however, was also well made and very tasty.
Next were paella bombs at $10 for 2. Again, beautifully made with great flavours. Very more-some.
The Chicago hot dog was the only negative. The fillings and roll were beautiful, though the sausage was overpowered every so often by big hits of cumin. A little tweaking of flavours would make for a great dish.
Service was exceptional, with the staff all being very friendly and attentive. The prices for food are a little on the high side, but the produce is quality. I do think the beers are a little overpriced compared with other restaurants in the area though.
The flour factory excels in a few areas that it has a love affair with. Those being gin, cocktails and its on-site made sausages and cured meats. A bit on the pricier end of the scale but not too excessive for the CBD. The prosciutto, rocket & parmesan pizza is ridiculously tasty.
Eat , Drink , Sit back and Relax. Amazing hidden place. Knowledgeable and friendly staff with gorgeous service.
Dog Du Jour & Tiger Prawns, Chorizo and Succotash Salad was ok.
Crispy Duck Fat Potatoes - Divine😚
Heirloom Tomatoes - very fresh and refreshing, love it🍅
To finish with yummy desserts............
Coconut mousse, coconut pudding and passion fruit🍈
Berries swirls🍓

Amazing little bar hidden on Queen street, perfect for wine and cheese nights with the girls, the charcuterie board was amazing, and the bar itself is gorgeous.
The food was good but it wasn't great. Didn't like the fact that the zucchini and squash was drowning in sauce so you couldn't taste the vegetables themselves. This being said however, the charcuterie board was absolutely outstanding and I would return just because of this. The building itself was also different and I liked the layout.
I booked a pre-game dinner for three given it was conveniently located between the train station and the Perth Arena. The restaurant sits where the old restaurant for Venn’s used to be with the old shop and the gallery converted into bars. The bar was packed and super loud, and because there are no walls, except glass half walls between it and the restaurant, it was hard to have a conversation across the table even with the restaurant empty.
Staff were friendly and took our order quickly. Our house gin and tonics and reisling arrived quickly, and were thoroughly enjoyable. The food came out gradually starting with the zucchini and squash which were the perfect summer flavours with the squash dressed in a delicious citrus sauce. We ordered the beef, but instead received the pork; we were undecided between the two and last minute changed to beef. Oh well I guess we didn't get heard after changing. We didn’t complain though because although a little fatty, the pork had wonderful maple, smoky flavours and the bed of sour-croute was perfect match giving the dish some acidic relief. Then came out whole roasted tropical snapper, which was again spot on with caramel and slight bitter flavours. The only thing with whole fish is of course you end up with bones in the mouth.
I was still hungry so ordered a bowl of the berries and my brother had a truffle. The berries dish was a surprise; unassuming with the berries buried in a sweet nutty meal that gave a nice crunch. Nice way to end a meal.
Food was very good, but the noise was not pleasant. I think I will be back to try the bar and perhaps the outdoor area for a lazy lunch.
I think the amount of time that you visit a restaurant can be a testimony of how much you really like it, just like how we visited The Flour Factory (TFF) twice within the span of one month.
Our first visit was during a weekday where we were given two glasses of complimentary TFF Vermouth on top of the Aperol Spritz that I ordered. On my second visit, Martin and I decided to try the spin the gin wheel which was a really fun activity. The idea is that a customer pays $10 for the bartender to spin the wheel. Each number on the wheel corresponds to a different type of gin and you might get a really good one. Martin chose the Hayman's Old Tom Gin with the orange garnish where I took the Hendrik's that came with the cucumber garnish.
One of the reason we came back to TFF for the second time was for this very delicious pizza. It had roasted peanuts, grilled capsicum, red onion, mozzarella and chives and TFF was quite generous with the amount of tender chicken on the pizza. Unfortunately on our second visit, TFF was sold out of this beautiful pizza and we found out from our waiter that we could pre-order everything in the menu a week before our booking. I was so jealous of the table behind us that pre-ordered the pizza in advance. We’d take the satay chicken anytime especially when compared with Rucola.
I came here for a predinner drinks. This place seems like a hidden gem. Love the atmosphere and the service is great.
As we were going elsewhere for dinner we had few cocktails and a board to share. The cured meats were delicious with about 4-5 different varieties as well as chutney. We did order extra bread and glad we did as the board only came with 2 pieces for sourdough. I wish they would offer more bread to go with the meat.
I would love to come back again to try their food.
If you like gin you've come to the right place, for $10 for a spin on the gin wheel you'll get a surprise mixture of a selected gin correspondent to the number the wheel has landed on, then you will get all sorts of garnishes besides your usual lemon or lime, burnt lemon, grapefruit, orange etc. This place gets busy so reserve a table or be prepared to stand.
We find The Four Factory on Queen Street, in inner city Perth, where restaurants are heaving with office Christmas parties. As the name suggests, the renovated 100 year old building was once a flour mill and has returned to its roots, albeit in the guise of a bar. It’s a fusion of many things; a New York deli, Spanish bodega, cocktail bar and a kitchen. The Flour Factory prides itself on making almost everything in house – in the butchery and bakery with its own flour mill.
A nice cup of coffee!!! Tucked away but when you find it, boy it's a winner!!! Highly recommend trying if your in the city area and love coffee!!!
The Flour Factory had a relaunch on Tuesday Night 14th July 2015 to a packed bar of over 150 guests. The numbers in the crowd proved how high the demand was for unique inner city bar. The Flour Factory is a fascinating building. I had not been to the venue for about 4 years when it was originally Venn bar. I loved Venn it was the perfect inner city spot to chill out on a Friday after work. However, The Flour Factory is so much more. The bright lights of the window signs are very enticing and are an excellent addition to this venue's decor. Queen Street is lit up at night by the bright sign that makes the street and the venue all the more inviting. The venue has several different spaces, which is something that really added to the atmosphere of this space. You can sit down near the kitchen in all its warmth and enjoy a quiet table while enjoying one of the artisan dishes, or you can perch yourself near the bar to enjoy a beautiful glass of the delightful vermouth. There is also an upstairs bar called the Sherry which I haven't had the chance to enjoy just yet but I have a feeling its going to become my Friday haunt...There is so much effort placed into this venue that it is hard to leave without being exceptionally impressed by the detail that has gone into every last crevice. It is also a place of interesting historic merit. It is 'An inner city public house across three floors of a historic 100-year-old flourmill'. The eclectic venue fuses together a NYC deli with Spanish bodega cocktail bar. The food has an artistic flair and the drinks have very fine detail.
There's a nice, if a bit quiet, vibe in this place. The service was friendly. The decor creates a nice setting and there's some pretty funky lighting. They were also pretty friendly when it was time to close up.
Service was really great and food was tasty but not super great, probably wouldn't go back to eat but for drinks yes. Great interior and atmosphere. A fairly decent size venue but felt cosy! Had the cauliflower cheese with truffle but hardly an cheese or truffle flavour :(

They do the best desserts! They tend to sell out before lunch time though. I also enjoy their cocktails in the evening. I really like the rooftop bit with the lovely hanging garden plants. I haven't been back since they renovated, I'm expecting good things!
Today we went back to The Flour Factory for lunch. I had to coax my workmate Andrew back, as last time he found the mustard on his hot dog way too spicy, and I can understand that (although I thought it was spot on!). The newly refurbished bar area is very impressive, as is the new menu. Heading for the “pizzas and dogs” section, Andrew chose the “Porker” pizza ($24) with bourbon bbq sauce, bacon, pulled pork shoulder & meatballs. This was a great pizza with a perfect crust and quality ingredients – you could really taste the bourbon in the sauce!
I’d heard very mixed reviews about this place so decided to check it out for a mid week dinner with my hubby.
It was a cold rainy night but was nice and warm as soon as we walked inside. The bar area was very busy and had a nice atmosphere to it. We were quickly shown to our reserved table in the lower dining area which to be honest was a bit cramped up against a brick wall, we asked to move but all the other tables were also booked. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with the menu, he helped us with our choice of wine and was happy to provide a couple of tastings which was helpful.
After a bit of deliberation we ordered the lamb rump, pork tenderloin and the grilled cabbage with white wine cream, sausage, bacon and potatoes. All the dishes came out together with a selection of homemade sauces, really good portion sizes and nicely presented on planks. We were apprehensive in ordering the lamb as we like our meat cooked medium rare but more on the rare side, the waiter assured us that this is how it comes and he was right, it was perfectly cooked, nice and chargrilled on the outside and beautifully pink in the middle.
The pork was also just pink enough to be juicy and tender and the grilled cabbage was awesome.
All up we had a really nice meal and are looking forward to returning (although next time I will request a different table)
Also looking forward to visiting in the warmer months when the upstairs bar is open.
Came for lunch with a friend to try the hot dogs. We settled on the dog of the day and the British Bulldog (pork w slaw). 20 minutes we were told the dog of the day had changed in that time so we chose the schnitzu (chicken schnitzel and sugo). It was another 20 minutes later and we had to ask a staff member as to where our hot dogs were. The service was disappointing and the hot dogs were not worth a 40 minute wait. Had the service been faster I might've felt differently. Go with the pork hot dog, that was crunchy, meaty and fresh. The chicken schnitzel one promised lots and under delivered the sausage was too big and could've had more sugo. We came again for a Saturday night birthday drinks and service was again slow but the drinks were tasty.
Really impressive. Good vibe, excellent sized portions for the price (not American size, just reasonable) and good beverage selection.
I can't really highlight one thing better than the other, just to say that it's totally worth the effort to book and dine.
Well done to the owners and chefs in particular - you nailed it.
The Flour Factory is truly a gem in Perth city. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere and decor blow you away. The design is warm and appealing and the overall energy is incredible. This is also thanks to the staff who are very welcoming and all appear to truly enjoy working there..and are huge fans of the food and drinks menu already!
There are so many food options to cater for any palette, plus the cheese and charcuterie boards just make it all that more exciting to try everything on the menu! The Venison is cooked to perfection and the clever accompanying sauces give you a different experience with every mouthful. And you can't go wrong at lunchtime with their very unique and generous sized hot dogs. But even for a drink with friends after work, TFF is a great spot.
I not only think this place is beautiful and cleverly designed, along with an amazing selection. The staff are beautiful people which added to the positive experience.
Ordered two different types of their hotdogs and sneaky cocktails for lunch with a friend. Also had their meat platter to share and I cannot fault anything we were served! Only thing that made the whole experience sort of a B- was the attitude the guy serving us had. Like he'd much rather be somewhere else instead of serving us. He looked like he could've very well been the manager, but I'm not 100%. Also the whole bill for 2hotdogs, small platter, and 2cocktails was $78. But mostly cos we ordered the drinks, and trust me the drinks are very well worth the price!!
Cute venue with a bustling downstairs and upstairs bar. The table we were allocated was squashed against a wall and we had people in our face but we booked pretty last minute.
Service with a smile by some pretty attractive men! The cheese we had as starters (a Camembert and a cheddar I think) were absolutely delicious, along with the sticky honey crunch paste that came with it
BEST. HOTDOG. EVER! I had the blood hound and it was yummy! I do think for the price they should come with chips/ veggies. $16 for a hotdog is expensive. But again very worth it.
Love it, if there was more space to sit Id be back in a sec! The outside benches look like a nice spot too. Upstairs bar is tiny too so be prepared to squish in!
Great Coffee. Came in for a relaxing coffee after some city tour. The coffee are well presented. The staff are very nice too. Will come back again for sure. A little hiccups was to locate the restaurant with the address, it's hard to find from Queen Street. Actually the formal entrance is from the Murray Street and in the left of Raine Square.
Excellent hot dogs. Went here for a work lunch with a few friends, and have also attended a wedding here in the past. Great spot. Interesting drinks, fun little menu. Highly recommend the housemade chorizo and three of the hot dogs (Classic, Sheep, Brat). Friendly people, good service.
Apparently they are planning to renovate throughout April, moving the bar and restaurant areas over towards Raine Square, freeing up more seating and adding some sort of terraces...sounds good, looking forward to seeing it.
Mixology; awesome.. I had a brief look at the food menu, wasn't after food but seen a couple dishes I think I'd appreciate, in particular the cheese menu - a variety of cheese offers.
Having heard good thing about this venue I figured I'd check it out, and despite the early air of pretenciousness (from someone the other side of the bar who I believed to be a member of staff), I cannot praise this gaffe enough.
I originally asked for a sour cocktail, then asked for a mojito; to which the bartender declined, stating they had no ice crusher and therefore would 'rather not' make a Mojito. Whilst disappointed I couldn't have my go-to cocktail, I appreciated the fact the guy behind the bar (who happened to be a co-owner) refused to make a cocktail because he didn't have the correct ingredients - this is pride in your work, and when you're paying 16$+ for a drink, is something I can appreciate. He instead, made me a 'paper plane' - sour notes, and absolutely delicious.
The bartender described each cocktail to us, including the marriage of flavours, and why he appreciates them - for which I'm thankful. I love a good cocktail and being educated or informed on each one is something that few bars seem to do, guarding their recipes and giving away no details.
I would probably rate this place as my favourite cocktail venue in perth, closely followed by bar 399.
The cocktails I had and would recommend to anyone:
- Limonade
- Whisky sour
- Daquiri; classic (cheers for splooging on the expensive rum)
- Paper plane
Great flavours and great service - would happily bring any of my friends to this venue on one of our pub crawls. Pleasantly surprised.
Enjoyable. A nice breath of fresh air! Great food, drinks and atmosphere, couldn't fault this
Tried the Flour factory by accident when i went to meet a friend at Venn, which is now Flour Factory. I was a little dissapointed while the meat was delicious the portions were tiny and the "bread" it came with was 4 peices of crustini biscuits. For the price i expected actual bread i could put condiments and the meat on. Next time i will go the hotdogs as they looked huge. The dessert however is divine!! More a tapas with drinks type of place needs a bit of a tweak in the menu to male it more lunch appropiate.

The Flour Factory is a niche restaurant/bar tucked away on the side of Queen Street in Perth's CBD. They serve New York style deli food while specialising in "flour" products such as bread and pasta, which makes sense as they are situated on the site of an 100 year old flour mill. ...We chose the Comte which is between a soft and hard cheese, made from unpasteurized cows milk and imported from France. This was the best idea we had all night! Not only did the cheese impress us, but the crisps with roasted pistachios on top complemented the cheese beautifully. We would also like to add that the other condiments, the dried prunes and house pickles made this cheese board perfect.
WHO : Perth foodies, bloggers and a few special guests / WHAT : The Flour Factory taster night / WHEN : November 11 / WHERE : The Flour Factory, Queen Street, Perth / WHY : To discuss all things meat, wine and dessert! Tuesday nights normally involve dinner with my lady, pyjamas as soon as I get home and some crappy reality TV, but last Tuesday night I ventured out of the house (and my post work routine) to new kid on the meat and bread block, The Flour Factory. Paying homage to the heritage building (it was once a flour mill), Andy Freeman (of Darling’s Supper Club and Varnish On King) and business partner Sam Astbury have many ideas for the space, and I’m keen to see what else is in store for the Queen Street eatery. A little bit of fresh baked bread, a whole lot of charcuterie and an impressive cocktail and wine list, the boys are promising even more in the new year. Does it get any better? A mixture of fashion, lifestyle and of course food bloggers gathered to discover all the goodies Andy and his team had to offer. Sipping on signature cocktails the Cobble and Sgroppino, we enjoyed the fresh evening breeze on the terrace, soaking up the hip vibes of the place. After a small discussion on where Andy would like to see his latest venture progress we dived into share plates of meaty goodness, including the head bacon (de-boned pig stuffed with house bacon and bratwurst), lambcetta and house smoked bacon. One word, amazing! I like meat as much as the next (non-vego) person, but I’d never tasted anything so fresh and flavoursome. I went into this tasting with an open mind as I was little taken aback at the idea of eating the likes of tongue and stuffed pig head, but everything was so damn good I forgot what I was eating and just enjoyed the experience. A spread of luscious cheeses accompanied the delicate meats, and worked beautifully with our cocktails. We were also taken aback by how the simple hot dog can be so much more. We sampled two mini hot dogs, The Choripan

Next to the ever cool Kate and Abel store, and tucked into the side of Raine Square you’ll find one of the hottest new eateries in Perth, The Flour Factory. The space is uniquely beautiful, wrapping around and under the building. Coming through the outside tables it opens into the counter and bakery space with delicious treats as far as the eye can see. The cafe has bare red brick walls and simple furniture, but still feels warm and comfortable. The Flour Factory would be great for catch ups, coffee on the go, or even a sweet treat. It’s open from breakfast to dinner, and there’s table service too. We started with coffees, trying their Five Senses single origin. After chatting with the barista it’s clear they love their coffee, and do everything they can to ensure each cup is perfect, including checking the weight of every one. Our coffee was rich and creamy, served at the perfect drinking temperature at the table. Our takeaway was just as good, and we would be happy to say it passes our second coffee test! The menu was small but there was also the selections at the counter.

The Flour Factory is a tribute to the building’s humble beginnings as a flour mill in the 1900’s which includes a bakery and butchery. From Luxe Bar, Varnish on Kind to Darlings Supper Club, The Flour Factory is Andy Freeman’s latest venture and is new to the Perth dining scene. As I received an invitation to attend a blogger event at Flour Factory with a guest, I was over the moon and excited because I have heard pretty good reviews about it! This was my first time at The Flour Factory and for the blogger event, we were taken upstairs to the rooftop bar to dine and enjoy the night under the stars with a nice, cool breeze.
Housed in the space formerly known as Venn, the Flour Factory is the latest venue to be opened by Andrew Freeman, the man behind recent openings Varnish on King and Darlings Supper Club.
We visited the Flour Factory for dinner one night, returning a couple week's later for a function. The charcuterie (in particular the lambcetta) is definitely the shining star, closely followed by their addictive desserts.
Hidden upstairs behind Venn, there is a new kid on the block. The Flour Factory is a dimly-lit bar and restaurant, cool and sophisticated...Overall: super cool bar and restaurant with in-house butcher and pastry chef, perfect spot for sherry cocktails on Friday nights

Hard to rate this particular visit as the first time we visited it was so busy we walked straight through.
This time on a covid stricken night in Perth where everywhere was quiet, we had a Gin Fizz and a Red Wine, both nice.
Overall, I have rated it be fair but will make sure we are with a party next time.

We went there to celebrate birthday and chose the gin gala dinner. Everything was perfect and loved that we had one craft gin per dish. The variety and combination was awesome. The lamb was the best I've had!. Really worth the $85pp. You get 4 different craft gins and to accompany each of rhe 4 dishes.
The most perfect wedding venue! My partner and I got married here on 16.04.2022, we could not have asked for a better venue. Kahla, the coordinator, was amazing and takes the stress out of organising the food and drinks and other big ticket items for set up. The food was delicious and all our guests loved what was on offer.
The upstairs area was perfect for the ceremony and reception, we had a cocktail style set up and were able to set it up exactly how we wanted. The Flour Factory were very accommodating and I could not have asked for a more perfect day. I would recommend to anyone looking for an inner city venue for their wedding with beautiful high wooden beam ceilings and a blend of outdoor in The Sherry (a courtyard style area) and the open area we used for the ceremony which then turned into a dance floor.
Thanks for having us and we can't wait to be back and celebrate many more occasions here.
Food and drinks were incredible as always, but the highlight of the night was the service by Roisin. Will definitely be coming back each week to have the pleasure of being served by her. Incredible venue with even better staff.
Had some great gin related shenanigans on a Wednesday night. The gracious Bonnie was kind enough to be serving us that night and had excellent knowledge of gins and served up some fantastic combos. My thanks goes to Bonnie for making the night grand.
Absolutely love this place. Will become my new regular. Staff are great and very friendly, the range of gins is huge and the atmosphere is excellent. See you all next Wednesday!
Fantastic place for after work drinks and THE place if you're a Gin connoisseur. Not sure which Gin, then spin the wheel and let see what Fin your fate holds.
An enjoyable Atmosphere for dining, If you should plan on a group catch up for a delicious cocktails, the Flour Factory would be right up that ally! However, we opted for dinner date night and found that it was a bit too ‘Noisy’ for our preference and did not stay long, still an enjoyable experience though. It was most pleasing that The Lychee Gin cocktail we had and our meals (gnocchi, potatoes with blood orange & the asparagus) were delicious, each dish was cooked to perfection.
We went to a gin masterclass hosted by Issac.
Issac was knowledgeable and very friendly, for the cost per ticket its definitely worth checking it out, you get a welcome drink and three tasters plus food at the end.
