Best place to dine any hour of open times - excellent food always - awesome staff and service top notch-they cannot do enough to help advise entertain you even if they are extremely busy - we do late lunch at weekends at 3.30 and the food is as good as normal times - our favourite place to go - keep it going - pleeeease ✅

I started dropping in for coffees a few years ago as they make the best Affogato's. I then stopped in for lunch and loved the pasta. Carbonara was superb. I then took a crew of friends to
dinner there and everyone loved it. Since then I've become a semi regular dinner diner there because the steaks are the best I've ever had. I just had to write this review now because the Rib Eye steak that they have at the moment is Astounding . I took two buddies from Belgium there on Thursday and they couldn't believe their eyes or their taste buds . Keep up the good cooking guys. We will be back real soon

Ordered a takeaway of an entree size norwest squid for lunch. Squid was tender and not overcooked or rubbery, it was well marinated and went well with the thai dressing. Possibly slightly overcharred though as some pieces tasted bitter
Came here with family for lunch. Shared bread and dips for entree, which was pretty average and small portion of dips to the bread serving. Main I had the garlic prawns (entree size), which was tasty.
Great food taste and a menu with lots of options. The staff were friendly and attentive and add to the great atmosphere. We would definitely go back.
Food of a high standard - everything tasted like it was home made. A variety of vegetarian dishes. Coffee was wonderful. A reasonable price for what was given. Lovely staff. Desserts wonderful.

Dined last night. Im a big fish and squid fan. I asked to deviate from the menu... combine the olive feta salad with some grilled fish and squid on top. They were extremely accomodating and to my amazement i was served a HUGE portion... Wow!!! It was one of the best seafood meals ive had... ever!. So tender, delicious and enough to feed 2-3!! They were very obliging to let me take home half. The passionfruit cocktail was also superb... plenty of fresh passionfruit... my other favourite! All in all... fabulous food and service - friendly and accomodating. Thank you chef for your flexibility and generosity. BIG TICKS!!!!
Have eaten here many many times - decent Italian food and, importantly, open late and serving coffee when I need it! Always have a good time and leave full and satisfied.
Cakes are decent too, I like the lemon meringue pie.
Was taken here for a work dinner and was pleasently surprised. I don't often go out for Italian but this was just an honest, good meal. Not many free tables on a Monday night but the service was still good. A surprising find in a quiet location, hopefully it lives up to this experience if I ever return. I had the scallopine alla panna.
Came here try to grab a quick lunch. I thought it would be impossible. Since we only have 20minutes left before my next meeting.
But the respond That I get is.."we will try"
And the food came in 10m after.Which is quite amazing in the busy cafe.

Lunch with visiting Japanese exchange student and 3 other teenagers and a working mum. An opportunity to try pasta and seafood. Starting from the back with the dessert selection. Scrumptious baked risotto was delicious with tiny baby octopus at $32. Rice infused with all the seafood broth. The lasagne was not quite like how mum made it but with lots of fine mince meat and mushrooms at $25.
Italian with a fusion twist. Great food, reasonable price and a good variety of options. Service was friendly and professional. Definitely worth a try.
I've been here a fair few times and it's standard has never dropped. I'm quite happy with the service and food here - nothing too fancy, but they are consistent and friendly. Had the Spaghetti Beef Pesto and the Linguine alla Tiamo with a side order of sweet potato chips. The chips was crispy, self cut and well fried, nice aioli too. The beef pesto was flavoursome with strong parmesan and pesto, also held a smoked scent to it too. The linguine was quite light with a nice flavour to it - a healthier alternative to pasta. Lastly ordered their special dessert with is a churros nest with vanilla ice cream. Nice churro base which they made into a sort of bowl for the ice cream - interesting, not too sweet or heavy, which is nice. Overall, still quite happy with this place over the many years.
The waiter who served us when we went for dinner was very friendly. I ordered the Nor-West squid, which came out tender and had a nice charred flavour to it, and the dressing had a good balance of sweet and sour. My friend is allergic to egg and she really likes the egg-free pasta that they do here.
What strikes me about this restaurant is that they serve an Indonesian dish, Nasi Goreng! Pretty brave I must say! But in an Italian restaurant, why would I want to order an Asian dish?
I go to Tiamo for special lunches, and have always been served well. The staff members are friendly and prompt with their service. It has a nice, simple decor, and clean. The place gets filled up pretty quickly, too. The food isn't too expensive considering it's in a Western suburb. They're delicious, have a home cooking feeling/taste and plentiful. My favorite: Linguini alla Tiamo, love the chilli, garlic, onion, and olive oil combo! (The bacon enhances the flavour for sure!)
My Mum, sister and I went there for lunch today. I had never been here before and it was excellent. We had the duck cappelletti, pork scallopini and the chicken salad. The duck cappelletti was gorgeous and the portion size just right and my Mums pork was tender and the mushrooms on top were delicious too. Desert was salted caramel tart for me which was heavenly and Mum had the bread and butter pudding which was unlike other bread and butter puddings but still great. Would definitely recommend :)
I loved Tiamos!! They have massive serving sizes which means you never go home hungry!! The food is great and there is so much choice to choose from!!

Service was good and fast.
Coffee was reasonable priced at $3.80.
My collegues had the big breakfast. Nothing special in that its standard eggs, toast, hash brown and bacon.
One of my other collegues had the omellete. Was impressed by the size (easily half the plate), and very heavily filled with ham % mushroom. It was also cheaper than the big breakfast.
Had the tiramasu cake ($9), was pretty sweet, but overall good.

I had the tiramasu cake ($9) which was very sweet, but it was very nice.
My collegues had the big breakfast, which was just your standard, sausage, hash brown, eggs, sour dough bread, and grilled tomatos. Nothing speacial you wouldn't be able to make at home.
One of my other collegue had the omellete. Really recommend the omellete over the big breakfast, as the omellete look substantial, had mushroom, and ham inside it, and overall looked and tasted very good. It was also cheaper than the big breakfast.
Always fresh and delish. I recently went to an early dinner with colleagues and we all enjoyed our choices. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Attention to detail was great
The staffs check up on us regularly to see how we're doing, the food was great and so was the ambience. Perfect night out with my boyfriend!
I have never been a fan of Tiamo but called in yesterday for coffee and cake, most of the other cafes on Hamden Road were closed so it was Tiamo or Dome. Was surprised by how much it has changed. Great coffee and loved the salted caramel tart. I will be back...

Sunday breakfast review. Mr partner & I came here for breakfast on Sunday the 17th. We did not have a booking and so did not expect to be seated so promptly and treated with such respect. The hostess greated us with a huge smile and well manners. We were seated at a large table at the front of the restaurant next to the counter. The atmosphere was wonderful! The restaurant was well decorated with vibrant colours, bamboo sticks, a water feature, plants and bright lighting. It was definitely a fantastic setting and display for a Sunday morning breakfast. We were served promptly but the same wonderful waitress and our food was brought out to our table only 5 - 10 minutes later. The staff left us in peace only checking on the table once when they saw our water running low. The big breakfast was beautifully presented and was large, I got the berry pancakes which were bursting with flavour but still so fluffy and light!! The coffee tasted a slight bit burnt but overall the service, atmosphere and food was incredible! I highly recommend Tiamo.
Dined here for a colleague's going away party. Service was attentive and friendly and everyone was happy with their food! The dessert fridge looks impressive with a variety of cakes and slices.
Great for Breakfast. I've been to Tiamo's twice now for breakfast. The. First time with a group of 16 and this morning with a group of 6. Both times I have really enjoyed it! The food is great. The Bircher muesli is absolutely gorgeous! All the food came out together and all the coffees came out together when we were midway through our food-just perfect!! It's rare everyone gets served at the same time in Perth so this makes a great change! The atmosphere was good and the staff were quite helpful, refilling our water without us having to ask etc. We'll definitely recommend this place to friends.
Restaurant about 3/4 full. Good range of food available. I ordered spinach salad with chicken, no croutons and dressing on the side. My friend ordered Turkish bread and dips. Both well presented and my salad came as ordered. Water brought to table although room temperature not chilled. All good this far. From here service seems to get away from them. Another Waitress came to clear table and offered desert menu however does not return with it. Friend requests second serve of dip however waitress comes back with soiling. After 20 min original waitress comes back. This waitress, after telling her we had been offered desert menu however had not received. This waitress smokes and we have a joke. She not only brings the menu but notices my friend did not touch the aoili. After my friend tells waitress of mistake, she removes it from the bill. We order rhubarb and apple crumble with icecream. In the end, we leave fairly happy. Overall problems with some service but good food

Gnochi from heaven!. I recently had a meal with friends at Tiamo. I'd only ever had coffee there on my way between meetings in the past. But man! What an awesome surprise.
I chose the Gnochi, on recommendation from a friend. I come from a family of very good cooks, so I'm accustomed to good food. Saying that, this was sensational. Just perfect. Loved it.
Sooo, on top of what I think is equal pegging for the best coffee in town, the Gnochi is second to none. Loved it. I will keep being a regular customer, but now, for full sit down meals, not just coffee.
Great food, good value, rude staff. Myself and my partner had a quick bite to eat here today; I had the Seafood Basket w/ a chai, she had the Thai Prawn Salad with a skinny cap. Both meals and drinks were fantastic, and the servings were enormous for the money paid. Admittedly the crumbed fish in the Seafood Basket did slightly resemble shop-bought frozen crumbed fish, and the chips likewise to those bought from McDonalds (I prefer thick-cut chips, not skinny fries, thanks!), but it was still great-tasting nonetheless.
All in all, great food and good value for money, however the staff were very rude and abrupt.

We had dinner there recently and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Firstly the meals were delicious and the portions were substatial. We somehow managed to still have those to-die-for desserts on display and washed it all down with perfect cups of barista coffees. Great food, great service, great value. Will return for sure

Our food was delicious (I had some form of potato and veal pasta deliciousness) with a generous glass of their smooth house red.
The sundae is perfect to share (and to lovingly feed your other half across the table and smear their face in cream).
Schnitzel Challenge !!. Holy crap, the biggest chicken schnitzel with non succulent chicken meat, a serious commitment and delicious...
Also had this mediterranean dish of veges and chorizo, all the natural juices of the eggplants, roma tomatoes made tis amazing natural sauce..

Perennial favourite. 4 of us had dinner here on a stormy wednesday night.
Roomy restaurant, excellent service and the food was good, as has been the case for years.
It's always in the entertainment book and a 25% discount makes it quite reasonable with BYO wine.
Chilli mussels are always a favourite and the Linguine Tiamo had a nice chilli tweak.
A good place to catch up with friends.

Nice dinner. Went for dinner on a Tuesday night, welcomed with a big smile from the waiter and promptly poured water (though wasn't asked if still or sparkling and automatically served sparkling which I can't stand but never mind they brought a whole bottle with still straight away after we asked).
My diner and I both ordered the Spaghetti Marinara and it was delicious. A huge serving and full of seafood (even about 8 mussels), was very happy with it.
Really enjoy the ambiance of the place too.
A cafe with honest food. If you have been disappointed by the pretentious and expensive food served at many Perth eateries then read on.
Tiamo doesn't pretend to be something it's not - and that is said in a very positive way. If you are just looking for a cafe that serves honest food at a fair price then Tiamo hits the spot. This is food for normal, real people.
If, however, you are looking for trendy, faddish food, or a place "to be seen" then you best look elsewhere.

Yummy Pasta & Great Coffee. The Penne Tricolore (chicken, spinach and sundried tomatoes in a seeded mustard, white wine and cream sauce) was absolutely YUMMO!! Pasta cooked perfectly, sauce tasty and not too sickly creamy, could have done with a bit more spinach but overall a good, honest Italian pasta dish.
Coffee was absolutely spot on, cappucino not too bitter or strong but hot enough to last me a few minutes instead of being gulped down in a few seconds like some cafes make it. A great experience for my first time here.

Best linguini I have ever had
Good, honest food.. We dine frequently at Tiamo. The word that best sums up this restaurant is reliable. When other places let us down by being unexpectledy closed, or overbooked, or stupidly expensive, or confusing food with sculpture, Tiamo is there.
It is always open, the prices are very reasonable, the service is generally prompt, and the food is for eating and enjoying, not photographing or analysing. The menu has a good range of familiar Italian-themed choices, and there are usually four or five specials that add variety.
The servings are generous and tasty. There's also a good number of dessert options! Tiamo isn't trying to win awards for innovation, so you won't be made to eat bizarre concoctions dreamed up by some bad-boy chef who is trying to get famous at your expense. It's a good, honest eatery.
Second time here and a second eye fillet steak, mmmmm beautiful, I think we have just found another little gem....

Consistency in taste
Good on ya Tiamo. Everytime we go back to Perth for a holiday, we would venture to Tiamo. The price is good and reasonable for the size of the serving. It is a down to earth, corner cafe restaurant. Nothing flashy-great place to catch up with friends or get together dinner with families. We travel frequently (interstates and overseas), we would always go to Tiamo even for coffee (if time permits) when we drop into Perth.
Those who whinged that it is pricey, geez, you should venture out to some other shocking cafes/restaurants in Perth which serves you smaller portion, poorer service and quality of food.
Celebrated my daughter's 18th Birthday with family and friends over Sunday lunch at Tiamo Cafe. Very approachable management and staff, easy to plan, excellent food, generous servings at a reasonable price. All the meals for 20 people came out together. Even the coffee was HOT! Perfect for this occasion. We'll be back!

It's a does-what-it-says-on-the-tin kind of place.... Delicious, home-cooking style food...always busy - I live around the corner and have never seen it empty...
A couple of reviews complaining about things like a lack of wine being poured for you....I find I have arms with these useful contraptions called hands on the end and am quite capable of pouring my own wine...
It's not a 'fine dining' experience, it's just good, honest food in mellow surroundings with cheerful (most of the time) staff. I have once had a waiter that had the personality of a fish-finger and seemed on the brink of mass murder but it wasn't enough to put me off my tasty food and pretty reasonable bill...I haven't seen him since and can only assume that he's serving serious time.
The chilli mussels are DELICIOUS...the Moroccan lamb another fave...in fact all of the lamb dishes are spot on. The gnocchi is great, as is the steak.
I ate the whole chocolate mud cake to myself whilst my boyfriend was in the toilet as I couldn't bear to share it, risking getting fat and being dumped in one heavenly, moist, gooey taste explosion.

I have been to Tiamo Cafe for nearly a dacade. We love this place so much . We love the food specialy the services are awesome. I can give the rate out of 20. We will be back. Pretty good. Went here for lunch today and have been a few times in the past for dinner. The mains I have had here have all been tasty, the rib eye & prawns was extremely good however was quite pricey at almost $40. The lasagne today was a huge serving and was worth the $20. I would definitely return.
Worth a try. The food and coffee is quite good, don't expect anything amazing but it represents reasonably good value for money. Service can be poor however...have waited for meals for over half an hour on one or two instances.
A simple formula done well..... Dining out at this restaurant is not going to impress your most pretentious, social climbing friends, but its going to give you consistently good quality food in reasonable portions, with service that is friendly and professional...

Dependable and affordable. I have been going to Tiamo for years and have only had positive experiences. The service was a little sloppy for a while but they have since lifted their game. The cafe is a dependable and affordable local - appreciate it for what it is.

Great fish and chips with salad, had to give second piece of fish to hubby. Service very prompt, I enjoyed my Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, Clive his beer. Heard a customer saying her meal was perfect. Lovely ambience inside, and if you wish, you can find outside. Third visit, last time scallopini. Next time we travel to Perth we will check out the menu further.

Ordered a soy latte but received an iced soy latte. Didn’t mind it as the coffee was light and made well. Hit the spot for a nice and quiet afternoon.
The panacotta was nice but wasn’t as light as expected probably because it’s around 3pm. The flavour was good but the experience would have been far better if it was the morning….
After looking at the photos, I realised that it would have been perfect if the cup was wiped after filling it with panacotta.
What a fantastic 60th Birthday Lunch we had at Tiamo, Sony the owner opened on a Sunday for us and provided a menu full of scrumptious food, and everyone loved it, personally I wouldn’t hesitate to have another function there, not only was the food sensational and very filling, the service provided was exceptional, I couldn’t be more satisfied Thank You
Every time i dine here, i am very pleased. Ordered fish soup today, top quality and fresh barramundi. Value for money. Gnocchi lovely, beetroot gnocchi very unique, was great! Tiramisu fantastic too. Very pleasant place for a long lunch especially since they open throughout the day.
