I came here in a group of 11 yesterday and it was such a wonderful experience. We started off with wine tastings in the cellar door. The cellar door staff were informative, patient, inviting and we learnt a lot from them. Elliot was amazing! Following this we had a beautiful lunch with wine in their Cafe. The staff were once again very attentive even though the Cafe was very busy. The food was delicious and plentiful and the views are just outstanding. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for the whole package. Thank you, I'll be back soon :)

Twice in just a couple of months I have led a group through the Bickley Wine region and enjoyed a magnificent meal at Fairbrossen restaurant. Both times the staff were friendly and very helpful and ensured we all enjoyed ourselves. The food is spectacular with very generous servings also combined with gorgeous wines made by the owner. I enjoy their wines and the classically beautiful setting captures a brilliant day out in the valley. Well done Fairbrossen.
Great new menu, wine and cheese only the perfect pair
Had the best fillet steak. Was cooked to perfection. The serving size was generous and came with crisp mixed vegetables & a potato stack. My partner had the vegetable risotto. They said it was creamy but not too rich with lots of flavour. Good value for money overlooking the beautiful vineyard and backed onto forest. A very pleasant lunch. I will definitely be back.
We love this winery. The staff are very welcoming and the food and wine are excellent. I had the mushroom mess and my husband had a burger. Both were delicious. We will definitely be back.
Fairbrossen Estate is a gorgeous winery tucked away in the Perth Hills. We came here on a rainy Saturday to admire the stunning views of the Estate. Staff were very welcoming and greeted us the second we walked in. We did some wine tasting at the cellar and I bought a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon to drink with lunch. Our orders were taken promptly and staff were very attentive with our queries. One of our guests unfortunately had some undercooked scones on a previous occasion - this time the chef provided them complimentary and they were beautiful and fluffy. We also had some prawns, freshly baked bread and beetroot chocolate cake - all delicious. I look forward to returning!
Sitting outside at Fairbrossen soaking up the sun on one of the coldest Sunday afternoons I can remember was just lovely. You would be wise to book early if you want to score a table inside on the weekend. It's a lovely view overlooking the vines and I can only image how much prettier it would be in the midst of summer when the vines are in full leaf.
The menu is simple - it includes entrees and lighter meals, half a dozen mains and some enticing sounding desserts. Neither of us could go past the lamb. It was a simple but delicious dish - four juicy charred medium rare lamb cutlets in a light red wine jus atop mashed potato with steamed carrots and green beans. Dishes at other tables looked just as generous and were polished off as quickly as ours.
The staff were friendly and gracious. It's unpretentious food at reasonable prices - even better if you have an entertainment voucher. I think we'll be back.
It's a winery, breakfast, brunch, serve good coffee too. Overall nice winery restaurant in the hills with views. Service is superb. They are very passionate about what they do. Will go back.
Visited with a large group for Sunday lunch. 2 meals came out super early (I suspect they were for another table) but the rest came out together, which was no mean feat! Portions were very generous and the bruschetta was a stand-out. The only complaints were of being too full. But there's always the dessert stomach, right? As Dan has mentioned in his review, dessert/cake sizes are varied, leaving some with cake envy (and the tarts aren't tarts but delicious nonetheless!). Staff were very friendly and very accomodating, even allowing for separate billing which is usually a nightmare. The wines were lovely and the tastings good fun with a great cellar-door special. I'm looking forward to returning in warmer weather to enjoy the balcony and views.
We had 4 adults and 3 children for lunch on a Sunday. It was fully booked. The cafe and cellar are country style and has a lovely informal atmosphere which I like. The winery has lovely views and a country feel about it. The food however wasn't informal at all. The quality was 5 star. I haven't had a steak that good for a long time and it was better than many 5 star restaurants. The wine is incredible as well. It was children friendly with a kids corner as well. The staff were friendly eNough. One negative was that it was so busy the service couldn't keep up and it was really frustrating us in the end constantly having to hail them down . I'd definitely recommend it and like to go again and hopefully the service can improve when not so busy!
A magical boutique winery with cellar door and a rustic restaurant overlooking the vineyard and trees. They produce some excellent wines, and always a real pleasure to try them as we did today. We went for afternoon tea but have enjoyed some wonderful lunches previously; I recall an excellent lamb shank one wintery cold day. Service was friendly at both the cellar and the restaurant. We were seated after our tasting, and our orders taken. I went for the pear and walnut cake and a long Mac. My dad and Viv went for the Devonshire scones. When they arrived the scones were huge with a large serving of cream and strawberry jam. The jam, while good, was very runny, which made it hard to eat the scone. The scones were fluffy and the taste was good. My cake was also very good, but was a very small slice, which was even more obvious compared to the large plates of the scones. At least I got some of the scone as they were a little large for one person to manage! Coffee was excellent and hot. I love the views and the relaxed atmosphere makes a pleasant experience; will definitely be coming back.
Hidden Little Gem!
Found this place by accident when touring the Bickley Valley last weekend. Gorgeous views and stunning wines, so drinkable! The food is honest, home type cooking which we really enjoyed after wine tasting. Massive portion sizes and pretty well priced for what you get. Good selection of grazing or main meals which suited our group coz the boys wanted something big while we were happy to share a platter and cheeseboard) both very good. The menu on the website could be updated, and there were heaps of specials the Sunday we were there. We're already planning our next trip back. lol
