For my 46th birthday I decided to visit an old favourite with my wife and 2 good friends. Olivia and Reid looked after us very well with welcoming, friendly and efficient service. The food was delicious and good value. The Moon Café has been around for as long as I can remember and has always been a great place to enjoy an evening of good food, drink and fun.
I would have no hesitation in recommending The Moon Café in Northbridge for a fun and enjoyable evening where the food and service is 5 star!
My partner and I've been going to the moon for easily 5 years. Now we go here easily once a fortnight! It's the best place for a late night feed that tastes amazing! All the staff are also amazing, you're never ever allowed to close!
Also the buttermilk fried chicken with blue cheese dip is my favourite! Seriously try it, it's the best chicken ever
Loved the vintage vibe of the place! The chips were so and so, the beer was good, the service was great, the music was excellent. Good place to hang out on a Saturday night ^^
Every Fringe World visit, The Moon Cafe becomes my go to place. The staff are so great, fabulous food and great cocktails. This year I was greeted with another love Twin Peaks has taken over the Moon Cafe and what a great combination. I highly recommend the home made cherry pie.

I've been going to The Moon for at least 8 years now. I love The Moon! Plus the joke let's go to The Moon never gets old. The cocktails are a bit pricey but the food is great. I love the nurse outfits that the staff wore yesterday �

I love that this place is open late and caters for vegans too! I enjoy that it isn't pretentious, so I can come straight from work without having to wear "fancy-pants" clothes. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Thanks for being there for us when we are hungry and thirsty!
Had the greatest breakfast of my life today. Nutty French toast temporarily changed my life for a very very reasonable fee. Service great and cheap, makes a morning. Please treat yourself
My husband and I have been going here for over 20 years, started out with our first dates and now we take our teenage kids. It’s funky, it’s relaxed and it has great food and drinks. The staff are always lovely and we especially love Tuesday nights - $15 pizza and pasta nights.

Came here for a late night snack. Had their nachos and they were surprisingly tasty! Lots of people there but service was still fast and staff were friendly. Their pizzas looked pretty decent too.
Best thing about this place is the fact that it is open extremely late, great for those spontaneous late dinner adventures.
Very large range of food options on the menu and vegetarian options as well. Veggie burger was very filling and satisfying and my non dairy milkshake was really yummy. The atmosphere is really relaxed and it’s a good place to hang with friends and eat delicious food, Will definitely be back.
A great cozy place that opens till very late! We came here for the vego nachos and chocolate cherry thick shake. Nachos were very loaded and the spinach and mushroom adds a very nice texture and flavour! The sauce and cheese were great and very complementary. However, the nachos were a little stale but nothing you can’t look past.
Love the atmosphere and board games they have here. A great way to spend a Saturday night with fiends and family. Good food and drinks and some games!
Been here lot of times. One of the best cafe I’ve ever been. Not only that it opens til late, but the food is also GREAT 💯💯💯 My favorite dish is Comfort pasta. The best. Other than that, they also have a great team working there. They’re all so friendly and helpful. Great food. Great place. Great team. Great live music. Fav!!
Stepping in to this place you feel like you’re back to the 80s looking at all the decor, furniture, lighting. Was here on Monday night and the pasta and pizza special was on which made it so much cheaper. The comfort pasta and lamb pizza were satisfying. This place opens till late at night which is great for someone who wants something greasy after a night out

This place is a great dinner location that's also open for lunch sometimes, and worth walking a little further away from the epicentre of Northbridge.
My favourite items here are their chocolate dessert pizza, their limited-edition cherry pie, their 'smurf' blue cocktail, and their excellent pastas. I've yet to have a disappointing experience here with the lovely staff and comfy seating. It's a little out of a student's price range but the serving portions are generous and they have weekly deals if you head out on a Monday or a Wednesday night.
There is a great range of options for Brunch, Lunch or Dinner, including a varied cocktail list and plenty of spirits to choose from behind the bar. This place does everything - from chips to pizza, coffee and milkshakes, sweets and savoury snacks, and do regular live music nights with local and guest musicians. It's open until a very convenient 2:30am which makes it great for after-party munchies, and also hosts a weekly Drag Brunch on Sundays. There is something here for pretty much everyone so I say it's worth a visit.
Want to hear a fun fact? The Moon cafe is diagonally situated from a restaurant called The Sun. Intentional? I have no idea but I always love pointing it out.
To be honest, the food isn't fantastic. However... The ambience, the staff and just the general vibes of this place makes it a place I'd recommend. It's open really late, and provides the night owls with something infinitely better than the usual fast food. The staff is quirky and polite. If you're in the city late one night and feel like grabbing a bite or having a relaxed drink with friends, you won't be disappointed.
I love this place! Popped in for nibbles and wine with the girls and decided to sit out the back on the comfy sofas that were straight out of the 70’s.
We shared the chille cheese fries and the warm chocolate mud cake with cream and ice cream. Huge servings for both and so delicious! We had the $6 house wine which was surprisingly really good also. The only negative was the Bloody Mary my friend had was not quite right..possibly too much Worcester sauce?
Also little shout out to the Irish Barman/waiter John, great character who would make you want to return to this place everything else aside!
Came here for date night and it was a pleasant experience. Quick and attentive service and the atmosphere was great. Price is reasonable and drinks were on point.We bought a packet of uno to play and it was a fun night overall. We would come back again!
Great place for catchups, date nights, for drinks, or just casual get togethers. I know latte and chips just don't really go together, but the latte was actually a really good cup of coffee! The bacon and cheese fries however were a little on the top salty side, however the atmosphere of the place is amazing. Absolutely love it 👌🏽

His work had an event in town that served a really small dinner and loads of booze, so I was still hungry afterwards and needed something to fill me up. So we walked up to Northbridge and into the moon cafe. Apparently this place is an institution. Who knew? Anyway it feels like it is.
The record sleeve menus are cute; we had Max Bygraves and the Yugoslavian orchestra! My mum probably still has that Maxy album! To fill us up we had nachos and beans. The beans were great, I've not had them with a creamy sauce before.
The service here was great and with 2 glasses of wine, the $50 bill was fab too. Glad we walked all that way!
Love that this place is open late at night. The food portions are massive so worth the money. We ordered a pizza and some nachos and couldn't finish it between 3 people.

if you want amazing shoestring fries, come here! it's always fresh and crispy and comes in a huge serving (the price is also huge but i don't mind paying more for consistently good food!) so be prepared to share. the comfort pasta has also been my favourite (it's so good that after i tried ordering a different pasta once, i regretted it and have never bothered ordering anything else since!), but pretty expensive at $22, so we always only come on cheap nights when pizza and pastas are $13.95 and then it's sooooo worth it! staff turnover has always been constant over the past 10 years i've been frequenting the moon, but they are mostly always friendly and welcoming.

Great atmosphere! Music is impressive and the menu was well priced. Couldn't ask for more friendlier staff (could remember our order without a pen and paper!).
Went there to catch up with an old friend on a Monday night. The lighting was a bit dim...many people would refer to it as "mood lighting".
I was really impressed with their chicken pasta and it was reasonably priced. Great service too...would go back there.
Food was beautiful... service was on to it.... but the whole time i was here enjoying my meal @ 11.13pm ((haha)) the bar tender was running the show!! From making cocktails, to serving beers to coffees and tea with honey! Girl..... definately the reason for my 5!! Keep it up...
My friend and I had dinner here the other night. I really enjoyed it. The staff were nice and friendly. Towards the end of the night they had a band which was nice and different. I ordered the salmon pasta and really liked it. If you order chips or wedges definitely get the moon mayo with it because that was delicious. I recommend this place and will come back and try something different.
Great little place for some drinks and nibbles. The food wasn't anything outstanding but the drinks and atmosphere were great! Quirky decor and a nice ambiance. Friendly staff and a well priced and interesting drinks menu with some great specials !
This place is so great! Staff are all so lovely and accommodating! Burger was great, pretzel bun was delicious! Try the balsamic aoili - you won't regret it :) came here twice in the past week - first time we were served by a sassy Irishman with a substantial beard who knew his stuff. Had some great drinks and chocolate dessert pizza that was amazing!
Second time I came there late at night with a friend after a work shift, probably around 10pm? Service was great and friendly even for how late it was. Burger was hot and tasty. Cookies and cream cheesecake was sooo good and the old fashioned banana split hit the spot!!! Coffee is also really good here :)

What drunk you needs but... lunch is good, too.
Atmosphere 9/10: I find The Moon Cafe a very relaxing place to go. Sitting inside is decent, but sitting outside is great. Even in winter they've always got the heater cranking so you won't get cold. They've got lots of different chairs and seating arrangements which I find really handy. Romantic date seating, check. Chilling with friends seating, check. Drunk off your ass and need somewhere to relax seating, check.
Service 8/10: The staff are very friendly and attentive. They'll come back to check on you and ask if you want more coffee or desert without you having to ask usually. They always have a good sense of humour and are very helpful without being overbearing.
Food 8/10: The dinner menu is pretty hard to read actually lol, but it's well organised into sections. Brunch has a decent amount of options. The coffee's are really nice, and if you want desert, you better be prepared to tackle it. The Doom Shake is no joke, either. Current-you might think it's a great idea to slam down that bad boy by yourself, but future-you is probably going to die. Worth it.
Price 7/10: A good price for what you get. Usually if something seems a bit expensive it's because the portions are really big.

Accompanied with some dark sangria cocktails to enjoy and ended the night with apple cinnamon pizza, afghan cookie with ice cream and a sticky date with cream and ice cream.
This place does a carbonara to die for! The white wine adds a sweetness to the creamy pasta sauce and the pasta itself is elastic and chewy. Pizza is also made beautifully, the texture of the crust has a great balance between crisp and soft.
My favourite place to go for a late night drunken feed. Best chilled vibe in there and amazing food. My favourite dish would have to be the ragu pasta.

The grilled haloumi could have done with more tomato salsa. It started out really good and quickly got sickeningly salty.
The bacon and cheese fries were really good, with enought toppings to go around.
The stinky pig pizza got a little soggy in the middle but was SO SO good. I enjoyed every last bite.
Do you want diabetes? If yes then please order the doom shake just as we did last night.

The moon is the perfect place to go to when you just want cheap drinks and food with some friends on a casual Friday night. Staff are attentive to a degree but nonetheless friendly, drinks list is mediocre - but thats what you've got to deal with. BYO with $5 corkage is no big deal and they have pretty great special deals on certain days. Excellent for a late night feed or just living on a budget.
After a long hiatus we visited The Moon for a Cheap n cheerful date night on Tuesday with $13.95 pizza or pasta and $7 glasses of wine (even cheaper if you just get the house wine). Shared an "exotic sausage" pizza which was generously topped with smoke sausage, green olives and plenty of fresh basil. Base was not bad. Fries were just as good as I remember them and served fresh and crispy. Baby calamari was a good sized serve for $12 and reasonably tender. Service was prompt and friendly but it wasn't that busy.
Only complaint was the sangria - never had one made with red wine and Coke. Tasted like medicine but not in the good Dr Pepper way.
An old fave! Tuesday cheap pasta! And really good pasta! Not as dirt cheap as it used to be when I was a spring chicken but def good. I recommend it!
Went back to this place for the first time in about a year, friendly staff, a menu that consists of essentially bar food but with some extra variety. Nice staff and very nice back area with a lounge room aesthetic. Ordered the chicken burger and was quite impressed.

Nothing fancy but a perfect late night spot. After a fun filled day at fringe world last Sunday we were all starving and wanting something highly unhealthy. A friend straight away suggested The Moon Cafe. The late night cafe bar is perfect for having a few beers and late night snacks with friends. The staff are super friendly and the American style booth's definitely add to the atmosphere. We had nachos, pizza and haloumi to share. Everything was very tasty and servings generous. We will definitely be back.

It's nice to have food sizes that reflect the price. We sat out the back, and whilst the couches were comfy it was awkward to eat at.

Such a good late night spot, staff are so friendly and warm, food is delicious and the atmosphere is spot on for midnight snacks and drinks. The pasta and nachos are my pick, plus being open late is always a winner for a shift worker
The ambiance is a cross between romanitic/mysterious/filmnoir at the back of the cafe they rely on little cute lamps to provide a dim shadowy atmosphere! -which, i loved. The food on the menu is average, typical orders however, done perfectly. Felt so much satisfaction drinking the cold crip beer with the mushroom, blue cheese pizza.

Upon ordering and receiving various pizzas and a serving of nachos, food was okay for an okay price. Nothing to go out of your way to experience... Just pretty okay... Much like the service.

The last time I went to the Moon was probably 2-3 years ago. Tonight I had a free time of half an hr so I wandered in to get a takeaway coffee before my dinner appointment. The signage at the front said "the Moon - still open" and I'm so happy to see that they still open til late at night.
This is a personal preference but I really like the warm and dark ambiance at the Moon. The atmosphere was so good for a drink catch-up, if only I had some friends with me (hahaha).
I saw some special deal that they have on different days and might come back to try the $20 burger & beer.
The service tonight was really good and the coffee was great. I left the Moon with a great feeling.
Been here multiple times and always get my juicy steak. I like it blue/rare and they over cooked it but they took it back and did my order again and it came back perfect and they apologized 3 times. The staff was so nice and got 2 free lolly snakes. Still my favorite place to eat. The mushroom gravy on the steak is amazing!

This is personally one of my favourite cafes in Northbridge, the staff and service here is great and can always count on this place for a late night feed. The food proportions and priced pretty moderately, and the atmosphere is really relaxing and chilled with lounges, booths, lounge chairs and lamps placed around.
You can always depend on the Moon for a late night feed (if you're not feeling like Chinatown that is). Portions are decent, food is ok - nothing to write home about. What makes it is the atmosphere, big booths and lounge chairs. Great for hanging with a large group and ordering lots of food and drinks.
Looks like the portion sizes have gotten more sensible since last i came, and the pasta is great as always. Top marks, Moon!
Side note- try a cherry milkshake with a shot of amaretto in. Is like a bakewell tart smoothie.
Had the Captain Guff's Hot Buttery Rum cocktail alongside the Afghan Cookie Special and I highly recommend both. Lovely staff and a pleasant atmosphere, definitely coming back.

One of my favourite digs to visit after a night out in northbridge at 2am for fries and carbs! Service is always great and fast. Huge portion sizes and value for money! Definitely worth a visit.
The Moon has always been a favourite of mine. At busy times, you can be waiting a while for service or your food, but if you can chill and enjoy the atmosphere or any company you have, it's okay. As well as the savoury food, the Afghan Cookie Special is a particular treat. There's also a good selection of cocktails and mocktails.
A nice place. Easy to find a meal for GF / DF and has a great drink list. Had a brilliant meal and found it easy to relax in the back lot. Great beer list too.

I LOVE THE MOON. Such prompt service and so friendly and relaxed. Me and my friend came here late on Saturday night and shared the Apple dessert pizza with tea and coffee. Divine. And the coffee was hot! I hardly ever get a hot coffee. I will definitely come back here.
The Moon is a local institution. Food has improved over the past few years, service fluctuates been efficient and slack. Always great events hosted here though, and a great late night dive - appreciate this place for a number of reasons, mostly for being one of the few places making late night coffee available in this city.
Pleasant food.. Interesting menu and had plenty of healthy options. Would have preferred if they had some good beer on tap since it can get really hot in there

Fill me up for fairly cheap!. Have been several times, meal sizes are hella decent & not too expensive. 24hr is a god send (not so much now that its more common but back in the day it was great!) Good wines and service, though one waiter was a bit arrogant. Love the live music and quirky nature. The original hipster haunt before hipsters existed (sorry if thats an insult haha). Would recommend for a cheaper meal with some pals when you want to be full and happy.

I have frequented The Moon on and off over the past few years because of it's atmosphere and charm and being the only place to get a semi decent bite after 10pm. It was never worth writing about though. Over the past couple of months I have noticed a real difference at the Moon in regards to service. The staff are welcoming and lovely (compared to the old day when it seemed only alt girls with black hair who couldn't smile were employed) Dan especially is fantastic!! Loving the new breakfast menu and special events too!

Great late night alternative atmosphere. Food isn't bad and service is so so. Greeted in a friendly manner but then it gets difficult to get further service like placing an actual order.
I've been coming to the moon for about 9 years , it's the most chilled out place to hang in perth , I like the deem lights ,
the back room , jazz night every Thursday , the staff is super friendly and nice to talk with , the ambience varies from crazy buzy to nice and chilled depending on the time of the night , oh did I mention that the moon closes late every night of the week like 1 am and 3:30 am on weekend Friday Saturday .
Band night on Wednesday is a good way to discover some local talent.

Love it!. The Moon is great! Going there on a late night feels like you've gone to a university house party, with the mismatched furniture and old antique items. Staff are very friendly and usually quite interesting characters. Food is cheap, with a large selection. The great thing about going there is saying to someone "let's go to the moon". Good place to take someone new in town or visiting, it actually has character!
Great late now eatery. Great place to come to late at night. The pasta is almost uncannily cooked to a similar exacting standard everytime. Perfect place to relax and talk in a cosy, bohemian like atmosphere. Remind me of the flower power days. Pasta specials on tuesdays and mondays are what keeps me coming back. The quantity is decent as well and i always leave with a full belly. Definitely one of my favorite late night eateries with reasonable prices.
Good, cheap dinner. I come here often for the pasta specials on a Monday or Tuesday.

Wonderfully surprised. Have been putting off going to the moon for aaaages due to the REALLY, REALLY shoddy service. I mean it was beyond bad. However myself and the man have a tradition of going on Valentine's since it was where we spent the first one. We went, and when we walked in, were greeted my the staff (first time, ever!) A lovely waiter followed us with water and glasses and some menus straight away. We ordered our food and drinks from a lovely waitress with blonde dreadlocks which came in a very reasonable amount of time- not quick enough for you to question why- and not long enough for you to contemplate eating sugar from the dispenser, which has unfortunately happened at the Moon before. I had the blue, pumpkin and thyme fettucine, which I always get, and is always great, and himself had the stinky pig pizza, which he really enjoyed. We also got the cheese on toast for the first time, which unfortunately we won't be ordering again. It was described as cheddar, danish feta and seeded mustard on toast. We received quite a thin piece of bread, with mustard unevenly spread (big lumps in one bite, none the next) quite a stingy amount of cheddar, and huge lumps of Danish feta randomly plopped in certain areas. As there wasn't much cheddar, the toast was quite dry and the mustard didn't help- was not enjoyable :(
During our meal, three different waitstaff came over to enquire as to how out meal was, and they seemed to genuinely mean it.
Great job guys- it's nice to see when a restaurant takes note of reviews and ups their game, and was refreshing to receive the service that you should expect when entering any restaurant. We won't leave it a year between visits for the next one!

The Vibe is What Sells It. The truth is the food here is certainly not the best in Perth, however what you order here, and what day you come, makes all the difference in your experience! I love this place because I can get a huge serving of chips, for a very cheap price, a glass of wine and pasta on special for I think $15, a plate of nachos that easily can serve 3 petite girls, or 2 average appetites or a massive bowl of wedges, again very cheap. Some other dishes are a bit overpriced, but you have to come here for jazz night. This place is so relaxed, you could easily fall asleep on the vintage chairs and its perfect for a casual, late night, social occasion. This is the real reason hipsters in Perth sing its praises!
Twice in one week. Cheap Pizza and pasta special every Mon and Tues - pretty cool. The food tasted really good, service was friendly and the layout is rad.

The Moon Cafe has been a favourite of mine for many years. Still hands down the best place for a bowl of Wedges. The vibe has always been awesome and relaxing, I love the low lighting, quirkiness and funky seating they provide. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Even when I take forever to decide what I finally want.
Always a winner for catching up with friends and getting decent food. You can't go wrong at The Moon.

Sundaes. We were planning on going somewhere for coffee after dinner but it was closed so we headed to The Moon mainly because we knew it would be open. Yes they ask for a card to hold at the counter but as a Northbridge stalwart you can kind of understand why. We all ordered sundaes and coffee / hot chocs. Waiter was helpful and small issue with caramel sauce was quickly rectified. Solid option when you're close and not sure what is open.
I've been to the moon many times and it's always been great. The pasta and pizza is fantastic and they make a really good cocktail. They can cater to large groups and are open late. It's a quirky setting but don't let that put you off, the food is very good.
Imagine that your a student with a part time job and you don't live at home or your a hipster or one of those arty types. This place is for you. Cheap food, nice ambiance, great location. Really nothing to complain about because you're getting what you paid for. I come here often enough just to hang out.
First off Andrew..you were awesome!!!! So, people are pretty harsh on the moon's staff. I was reading some of the other reviews....the thing is, these people work very very long and strange hours...so cut them a break. Tonight I had a great time...in fact I'm there at least once a week and have a great time. Which brings us back to Andrew, a lovely Canadian skateboarder...you sir and very good at hospitality!
I like it!. Love this place! Great to be able to get late night food and/or coffee and the atmosphere is killer! have had a pleasurable experience every time I've gone and would definitely recommend it.
Cheap nights. $11.95 Blue, Pumpkin & Thyme Fettuccine - could not taste the blue cheese and picked out huge stalks of thyme. The $3 house wine was drinkable. Service was fast and this place is what it is. It gets a like from me.
Late night hangout. A good late night hangout place with good food and ambiance. They offer a wide array of dishes which are tasty, and good desserts and they also have drinks available too.
Love this cafe! We were seated at the back room where the live performance was. Great atmosphere, everything was old and worn out which was pretty cool! And the dessert! OMFG SOOOOOO good! Would definitely go back!!!!!!!!!
European Excellence in Perth. Amidst the Perth plethora of mediocre eateries, one shining stands out: The Moon Cafe in William Street, Northbridge. Everything about it delights: the food is superb, the prices cheap, the service excellent and best of all it is open (until 1am) when all the other places have closed. Went to this little oasis of delights last night after a show in Perth and was delighted by the art deco diner feel of the place, abuzz with the vitality of Perth's young intelligentsia crowd.

Order was taken quickly for food - Nachos to Share, Pizza and a Burger.
Nachos and Pizza out in less than 10 mins and after a 15 min wait for the Burger I asked would it be soon. Was told that it hadn’t been put through and that one would be made immediately on the house!!
Food was tasty and good value. Drinks were pretty cheap as well. $8 for top shelf spirits.
Between the two of us we tried a few different cocktails, personal favourite being the whisky sours.
Small complaint –As the Moon is table service only it was kind of hard to get the next drink. Floor staff were good but had to be called over to the table to place an order.

Chill-out. Went here on a Saturday evening in July 2012 for dessert. The place was warm and cosy, filled with fashionable lounging teenagers (well ve had in Perth.
Will come back. I really like the atmosphere in this cafe, the latte was not bad, the price was okay, and the staff are friendly.
Will recommend and definitely go back here.
Nice food, great atmosphere. Bit expensive though. Wouldn't recommend the pizza but there's still plenty of options to keep you happy. Pierre would give The Moon 4 spoons

An Old Favourite and Great for Vegans! ^_^. I've been going to the Moon for a little over five years and I love it =] The mismatched furniture and relaxed atmosphere are wonderful and although the service can be a bit hit and miss, the food is always excellent. I have a lot of food intolerances and they're always great about that stuff. For vegans, I recommend the Veggie Moon Burger (proper "imitation meat" style tofu steak, big enough to split with someone else and piled high with veggies, with either chips or salad on the side), the bruscetta (I eat this a lot at restaurants, because I'm so difficult to feed, but theirs is particularly good -- always fresh veg, bread never burnt), crunchy chips and wedges, salads (always HUGE) and pastas. I've asked them many times to tailor one of their pasta dishes so that I could order it and they've always been accommodating and the pasta's always delicious. Their cocktail menu is also great -- lots of variety and well-priced compared to other places in Northbridge. They have solo musos playing on Wednesday nights and although I wouldn't recommend their gigs if you want to socialise and catch up (the music is always LOUD, lol), it makes for a great date night ^_^ I also LOVE the fact that they're open so late all week! =D

At 2am we NEEDED food. It had been a long 48 hours of hospitals and drs. Hit google for late night food... Remembered that the moon is open very late. Drive in, easy parking, busy but plenty of tables, well heated and plates delivered to us within 20 min of ordering! Great burger, hot and crispy chips ( big serve) we had a moon burger, wedges and a stinky pig pizza. All great, I'm very picky and there is nothing that I would change. It's great to know that you can get a fresh and tasty meal at 2am in Perth
Late night stop with a group of girlfriends. The place was pumping and we had to wait a short while for a table, this was fine. Food was delicious and in Portions big enough to share. Loved the atmosphere and the fact the waitstaff could put up with a very drunk friend. Go guys!
I had pizza was nice really good size friend had calamari he said it was pretty good. It's kinda funky with a relaxed atmosphere, notice there is lots of bad reviews on here for crap service but the night we went there it was fine the staff were friendly. Don't forget to pick your licence up as they make you leave it with them - apparently they get heaps of runners . For a quick cheap feed I would go back.
Depending what night. I like this place, but I would say 75% of the time I go there I get served by some snooty waitress. The food is good here with massive portions. Their bottled tap water though, I wouldn't touch it. It's always luke warm and dirty. But this place has that relaxed indie sort of feel to it. Which is a nice change from the other places in northbridge.
Open late night. For the owls, this place is great as it opens really late, and you can just hang out until they close.
Food is average, (the serving of fries are MASSIVE) and the coffees are average too.
Convenient late hours. I like this place for its late hours and cocktails. I like to come here after a late shift at work or when I'm out and feeling peckish and wish to continue drinking. I love their cocktails, smash them down with some wedges. It was a struggle to finish their wedges with my partner. It's a nice setting, I can just sit there chatting, drinking and occasionally take a bite of a wedge. Servings are massive, food isn't great, but okay. The calamari isn't anything great. But be aware, the Arrabbiata Penne is quite spicy!

Awesome!. This has to be one of my favourite places in Perth! The atmosphere here is so relaxed and comfy that you end up staying there much longer than intended. The staff and service are great, once again relaxed but very personable. This is also a place that you always leave with a full belly. Perth needs more places whith character like this.
Great place to go to relax and catch up with friends. Really hot day and upon arriving to the outside area it was way boiling! Probably need to get the aircon fixed but staff were very accommodating and helpful in ensuring that we could be seated inside which was great. Food was great large portions, eyes were bigger than our stomachs and they came out really fast.
Moontastic. The Colombian waitress was so beautiful to us and I loved the chili on the margerita pizza. The place is so relaxed and cosy I love it. Plus they do cocktails!
Very moody and retro. Staff are almost complacent and too cool to care. Kind of like they're hanging out and serving in between. I have to say though that my cake and mocha was so delicious that I went back with friends and it was the same. So if anything its consistent. I will be back.
Best chai latte in Perth without a single doubt
First choice in Northbridge. If I need to go somewhere central, The Moon's usually the first port of call. The food's reliably great, the atmosphere's lovely, and while the service is reliably terrible, it's always worth going back - especially on Mondays and Tuesdays for cheap night.
Generous & Good atmosphere. 8pm Saturday night walk in and scored a table for 8 easily. Staff was friendly and attentive. Water and glasses was quickly given out as soon as we settled down. Food arrived rather quickly as I was actually worrying cause I had to leave early for work. It took about 10-15mins from taking a round order for the table and serving them up. I was really impressed and in due course I was able to finish my food, have a little catch up and not being late for work which starts at 9! Ordered a chicken and bacon pizza to share. Generous tasty toppings on pizza with crispy crust. Very price worthy and great atmosphere. It has a really nice and cosy set up overall. Love this place. Will definitely come back to try their pasta and mains. One catch, do expect lack of service/table on Monday and Tuesday nights as this place will be packed for its special deals.
Take the good with the bad?. The food is amazingly portioned and on a monday or tueday night the dinner specials are ideal for me catching up with friends.
The service however. well thats another story.
It always seems to be an alternative styled hippy freak with a pony tail and nose piercing that just does not like to serve people. Lazy, pretentious and needs to go jean shopping all pop into mind when i see hime.
Sort that out. Other than that I love the late hours and the lollies and alternative feel to the place.
Little gem. I was only recently introduced to The Moon by friends. I had the BLT and it was great!
We kept eyeing off one of the cocktails going around that night. Apparently its called a "Smurf". I'll be ordering one next time.
I loved that they slapped a sticker on the menu saying bananas only avaialble when cheap enough. I found the honesty refreshing. This is a venue that has no need for snobby pretense! I'l definitely go back.
Really nice!. A lot of the comments mention the snooty attitude of the waitstaff, and I have experienced this myself several times, but when we went for dinner last night, the waiter seemed very nice and genuinely friendly, even recognising us from a previous visit.
The mood of the Moon is always very nice, and sitting out the back listening to the live band is always a unique experience. We ordered italian sausage pizza (on the recommendation of the waiter), along with the blue, pumpkin and thyme fettucine and the calamari, along with some cocktails.
The food was plentiful for the 4 of us and in the end it was very reasonably priced, less than $20 each!!
Retro Goodness. Perfect place for a late night meal. A very indie vibe from the decor and staff and love how water is served in old vodka bottles! To our constant disappointment staff are not very attentive bringing drinks and meals at erratic times and mixing up orders. Moon burger was hollow in the middle but the milkshakes and flavoured coke drinks are great.
Popped in for a late night feed and drink. Friendly, chatty service. Great food. Fairly quick considering how busy it was. There really should be more late night spots like this in Perth. Good job Moon. Not the first time in but surely won't be the last.

Simple food done well. This use to be one of our favourite hang outs and they have enough on the menu to suit everyone's needs. Their burger with all the trimmings is delicious and you can't go past their cheap pasta nights. Not sure if they've changed the fries situation yet - I always prefer having chunky chips with my meals but that's just me.
Memories.... The Moon really isn't about food. Or service, or drinks or anything. We go to the Moon because we went to The Moon when we were young and hopeful and having fun and really poor and weren't sleeping much. I took the first girl I dated in Perth here, I got into my first bar-fight here, my untalented old band used to hang out here after gigs, drinking the cheapest red on the menu and hoping people would recognize us.
I've been back a few times and it's still exactly the same, still the worst kind of good or the best kind of bad. Anyway if you haven't been here before, don't bother but if you have, don't forget to drop in every now and then.
Go for the atmosphere. I've been coming to the moon for the past couple of years, its great for a late night feast - the wedges are my regular guilty pleasure, I cannot fault them at all!
I've never noticed the staff being rude, however they've never left a positive impression either.
It is slightly overpriced for the quality of the food - thats why I only go on Monday and Tuesdays - $12 pizzas and pasta!
Easy food, cheap wine. Some friends and I went here mid-week; the food was reasonable, nothing special but the prices were fine for what we got. The house wine is cheap and effective.

It is time for The Moon to get its act together.. Nothing to write home about and it has gone downhill recently. The menu has not changed one iota in about 10 years.
The pizza I ordered had ricotta cheese on it, which had gone off. My friend had a pasta dish in which she found a large, pointy piece of hard plastic - not good at all.
Love the convenience of this late night cafe. The menu may be stale and the service somewhat slow but our late night options are limited.

The Chicken Pizza ($11.95) with chicken, bacon, red onion, roasted capsicum and mushrooms was super tasty. The pizzas at the Moon are always really nice and fresh tasting, no yucky pre-prepared ingredients. It’s the kind of pizza you eat and feel (kind of) good about!

My diet is ruined. I didn't go to the moon, but I went to The Moon last night. Astronauts are just wasting their time, if you ask me. After our pole dancing lesson in Perth (yes, you heard me), we decided to drive to Northbridge closeby for din dins. I was pumped: I've been wanting to go there for so long. It was everything and more I had imagined it to be. Situated in the middle of busy Northbridge on a Friday night, it was already buzzing by the time we got there at 7:30. I love the interior: dark, quirky and indie, old armchairs and tables that don't match, old pictures and random ornaments all over the place, blended with the chatter and slow beats playing created a very cosy, chilled atmosphere. Also loved the fact that our table was directly under a heater. Win. Angie insisted that we order the Chocolate Pizza ($14), which we actually ended up eating first because the ice cream was melting. I almost had babies. The base wasn't like dough but crispy, a cross between something deep
sat at the Moon and ordered our dessert of mud cake for the boy and the Afghan cookie for me. The great thing about the Moon is the fact that it provides hearty food in the dead of the night (and decent food at that) and has a great range of desserts including dessert pizza (big enough to satisfy all sweet tooth).
Portion sizes are generous and food overall is quite good. The service we had was nice and quick and straight to the point with empty bowls, plates and glasses being cleared very quickly. There is also a selection of cocktails I’ve never heard of or seen before but we thoroughly enjoyed them. I’m looking forward to coming back.
Great variety of vegan options! But the service needs some improvement. Staff was indifferent. Otherwise the food was yum. Definitely recommend as vegan place.

Very cool cafe/restuarant. Great atmosphere, heaps of seating (would recommend booking for busy times), tasty 'comfort' styled food, and great service. They have such a wide range of options, something for everyone (vegan and vegetarian options). Would recommend if in the area.
This place is full of charm! The food was delicious, the service was good, they had a few nonalcoholic options which was great as those are like hens teeth at the moment. The shakes were so yummy I wish I had space for more. Will definitely be back!
Delicious food along with amazing drinks

This place usually is amazing, great vibe, delicious food but during our little visit this week everything seemed to went wrong. The beer was warm( not their fault it was really hot that day) but then they took wrong order and at last when bbq pizza was served it was not cooked properly. Did not wanted to create a scene for everything we just had food and left. Make sure you guys double check your orders when venue is busy.
I love the moon - day or night. I went there when it first opened and have begun again since returning from Ireland. I had my 60th birthday there and loved it. Was there last Saturday for another birthday celebration. Love the staff and it's one of the few places that does really good vegan food. Keep going Moon crew - you're loved xxx
