Review The Pearfect Pantry - Perth

Josh Brown
Came here for an easy lunch on Sunday. Delicious food, quick service, and reasonable prices. I had eggs Benedict and we also got a bacon and egg roll; coffee came out very quickly and staff were friendly. If you’re vegetarian there’s plenty of options. Place is decorated nicely with plenty of plants around. This place is just off Scarborough Beach rd, so you might miss it unless you hunt it out - but definitely worth making the effort to get to!

Nice shop and friendly people. Ordered chilaquile and found it's only sour flavor without others. Personally, I don't like it. I believe it should come with other flavors as well. If one flavor covers all the others, it's not a successful meal. We tried pancake and muffin. They are good above average a little.

Absolutely 💯 👌🏼 delicious 😋 Great central new location, atmosphere is light & bright with many what look to be delicious from the menu and glad cabinet to choose from. All food is freshly made. I shared a curried scrambled tofu egg sandwich 🥪 😋 #heavenabove with a splash of Tabasco... I had no idea it was tasty tofu! I look forward to going back and trying something new.

Went in coffee and walked out with a smile. Friendly staff, the vibe inside is really nice and I loved the plants! I ordered my coffee with oat milk and they made me smile with the coffee art. Lovely service you guys

The seasonal vegan pancake they made is actually better than non-vegan pancake that I usually ordered at other café. It tastes so good. Not too sweet, it’s just right. I am not vegan, but with vegan friends, you can have vegan and non-vegan choices there. Nice café.

Great options for everyone, there is plenty of vegan and non-vegan dishes. Great atmosphere in the store with plenty of green life scattered around the store. There is lots of seating outdoors and a good handful of tables, couches and benches inside. The staff were friendly and we got to the cafe 5 minutes before breakfast ended and they still made us brunch with no fuss. 5/5 stars would recommend if you’re in the area.

We have been thinking to visit this place for a while, finally able to make it today. Great location, ambiance, ample of free parking. I ordered Vegan Chilaquiles which was incredibly delicious and full of flavor, my partner had fig and walnuts toast served with butter and jam that was very tasty and unique. The coffee was great too and accompanied well with the meals. Very friendly staff and prompt service. We would love to see you guys again :)

Took my lovely wife 😍 there for lunch and was very impressed. Great selection, even have the vegan options well covered. I had the Quarter Pounder with fries (vegan beef option) and was so yummy....hard to tell front the real thing. Highly recommend them, will be back for more in the future 🤤🤤

The only reason I didnt give this place a 5 star is because I think that my vegan "pulled pork" is better.. one suggestion to make it better: add some bbq sauce and a small dash of chili powder.. it was also a little to watery.. maybe need to be cooked down a little more to get that caramelisation. Other than that the service was good.. really friendly and let me take pictures of all the amazing vegan sweets. I got the raved about vegan big mac and it definitely brought back a lot of memories to my past-non-vegan-days.. it was nice and saucey.. ohhh can we just take a moment of silence for the sauce.. soooo goood! the oreo stuffed cake was delicious and even though I dont like butter-cream the butter-cream on this cake was wonderful.. recipe!???! I also ordered the hazelnut milkshake.. tasted good... I would suggest maybe add some Ice or even better... Ice-cream to thinken it up a little. At the end of the day I had an relaxing and nice time at 'pear'fect pantry and would definitely recommend the place to all my friends. I appreciate all the vegan options!! and all the hard work that goes into this place. Thank you!!

Was really disappointed with the service today. Lucky the food always tastes amazing, and I guess that's what you bank on... counter staff could have cracked a smile, seemed miserable and there was no friendly greeting. Half an hour cross over between breakfast and the lunch menu being available and only having the cabinet food as an option was annoying, not even the offer to see the lunch menu to be ready to order when it was prepped... The only saving grace was the lovely girl who served our food (and the food itself). Embarrassing to bring our international family with us to get such terrible service, considering we rave about the place....

I tried the Vegan Big Mac. As someone who loves, and misses the Big Mac, I can say that the Vegan Big Mac doesn't quite live up to the real deal, although, it was a good burger none the less, and the patties are surprisingly beef passable. Most vegetarian beef patties are s**t, but these were a beef grievers dream. I will warn that anyone with a beard should grab at least 10 napkins, because this thing is saucy. I'm not exaggerating, when I say 10 either. I went through 1 napkin each bite. But, I do have a full beard, so... Also, I just want to point out that the girl who served us wouldn't let us finish our order before trying to check out our sale. Every item we added, she would say "yep, that comes to $...", and reach for the EFTPOS machine. My girlfriend didn't end up buying a drink, because she felt awkward adding more items onto the sale, while cashier was trying to end it. It's like, "lady, I want more food. Can't you see we're fat c**ts. A single burger ain't gonna fill this chamber of sorrow". After reading a few reviews, I have changed my rating from a 3 to a 5, because as mild as the service can be, these guys are doing a great job for vegos. Perth is still lacking in abundant vege places, as opposed to Melbourne, and they don't deserve bad ratings, when their food is so f**king good. I have never had a bad meal here, and its all normal omnivorous-like meals. I want a beef-like burger, or mac n cheese, not a f**king zucchini pasta, with zucchini on the side, garnished with zucchini. Keep up the good work.

it was weird finding it cause it's kinda hidden and was unsure of where to go to park....but....OMG!!! smells good, looks good, food tasted good, serving was huge, had to take some home (no complaints, get to relive the experience) there were yummy looking cakes, which shall try next time....staff were friendly and helpful.

Simply delicious Vegan food combined with the most beautiful and friendly staff anywhere in Perth. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

Food was "Pearfect". Delicious coconut curry and lentil soup lovely pulled pork burger for brunch. Didn't touch my coffee until I'd eaten half my bowl of soup. .... and I'm a dedicated coffee drinker. Coffee was the best I've had in Perth. Service with a smile, meals served quickly. Thank you ladies you made my morning.
Jasmine Khalid
The best vegan place in Perth, highly recommend :)

Had the vegan lasagna and hubby had the vegan cheeseburger both tasted amazing. Lasagna was probably one of the best lasagna I've had apart from my Nonna's. Cheeseburger tasted just like a cheeseburger so YUM

We had pulled pork Nachos, it was lovely. Bit annoyed that I asked for just chips for my husband and was point blank refused them, I was told they go with the burger. But would go back, great little place to visit after a walk around the lake.

Pearfect Pantry is a gem of a cafe near Herdsman Lake. It’s a bit hard to find, just off of Herdsman Parade. There is parking around the back by the lake and in some of the side streets off Herdsman Parade. Once you find it, it is a cave of vegan delights with numerous options for breakfast and great cakes. It’s quite quaint and casual – a place where the food is made with love.
The Stubborn Eater
this place is really good for vegans to hang out at. they have really good vegan food. but to those of you who are not vegans, do not worry, they also have food for you. But there’s not so many options for nonvegans. I tried the nonvegan mexican chicken fajitas, IT WAS SOOOOO GOOOD. They have the vegan and nonvegan one. Try them!! Service was good.
Phubu7
Came here for a quick coffee & cake. Coffee was ok but not really worth the price, vegan blueberry cheesecake was yummy and not too sweet. Would come back for the cakes.

This is the second time we tried looking for this place as we failed to locate it the first time. Luckily there was a signage out on the street. It was hidden behind a laundromat and underneath a block of flats. Honestly I did not feel like dining there as it looked untidy and it gave me an impression that it was not clean. But what every one was having seemed to look pretty good. So I put my first impressions away. The vegan pancakes were light and fluffy albeit a bit on the sweet side. The coffee was not good.
Wally
Never had any problems with the staff at all, and have really liked everything I have eaten there (been there about 4 or 5 times). Burrito was very good, and their desserts are very good, these ladies definitely know how to cook. yes it is a bit expensive, but I find Perth in general overpriced. Because vegan foods are quite expensive I get the feeling they have to operate in a place like that to make it viable as a business, but hopefully they don't lose too many simple customers trying to make their way there!
Rossco Gee
Beautiful food ! have eaten here for years and will continue too. Staff are always attentive and friendly whilst the food is consistantly first grade.

If you’re looking for a place that is difficult to find, has rude waitress staff, a poor level of customer service, is not very clean, has no ventilation or AC and has a huge tasty variety of overpriced vegan and veg options then this place is for you!
Stephanie Pavicic
The pear’fect pantry is far from perfect.  I couldn’t even find this place, there is barely any signage and no parking, its hidden within a whole bunch of apartment complexes.  The place could really do with an update, I don’t mind miss matched furniture and old funky things but it still needs to be clean, tidy and organised, which it really wasn’t.  The menu was very confusing, it stated vegan breakfasts but I still saw a lot of pulled pork, cheese and chicken, not to mention the menus themselves were very worn out and dirty.  I took my grandparents here, it was a 30 degree day and the café didn’t have any air conditioning, it was unbearable to stay inside so we managed to change to a table outside but that didn’t help much, they really need to invest in an air con and some mist fans for outside.  There is no real shade outside either as the shade cloth isn’t totally block out.  The bottle of water I got out of the fridge was hot and the bottle was dirty, it looked like dirty water inside.  They were all out of freshly squeezed juice, something that I really wanted to have to cool down on a hot day.  On a positive note the breakfast meal I did order was pretty tasty, I didn’t have a problem with the price and it was a descent serving.  The meals didn’t take too long to come out and the service from the girls were fine.  But overall, inside the café was very dark, dingy, even the toilet out back had door handles missing etc. I will not be back.

I finally got to try this wonderful place that everyone I know raves on about and was so excited. I loved the food as it was amazing and I could finally get a Big Mac again. It is a little overpriced but what do you expect when it comes to vegan food? The wait time was impressive as food came out incredibly fast but the only downfall I had was the service... I was so disappointed with how rude the waitress was towards my friend and I. Not once but twice we were rudely asked “Are you done yet?” as we were eating and talking away. The place wasn’t busy and it also wasn’t closing. Just let us enjoy our meal without feeling like we’re being rushed. <br/>We were also ignored at the counter for a bit by two staff members when wanting to purchase takeaway desserts. If the attitude of the staff changed then this place would be incredible!

This is my favourite place to go for breakfast, brunch, lunch, morning or afternoon tea.<br/>Bit of a weird location and the parking can be difficult but the food is great and the staff are always nice.<br/>Love the little garden, it makes sitting outside a pleasant experience.<br/>I also like that they are dog friendly because it always brightens my day to see cute doglets.
Lucy Rose
The best food I've found in Perth! <br/>Amazing service, child friendly, beautiful decor! Perfect place for catch ups! <br/>The vegan lasagne served here has got to be the best lasagne (vegan or non vegan) my partner and I have eaten in years! Even the side salads are delicious (served with light dressing.)<br/>Two thumbs up!
Sophia
I was a bit disappointed after hearing lots of good reviews about the place. I had the vegan brekky wrap which was okay - I tried the pancakes which were really good though. It seems a little pricey with a limited menu, service was fast but not particularly friendly.
Krysta Le
A large range of vegan meals and vegan options! Cosy atmosphere inside and outside is lovely in the sunshine. Lots of little white and yellow butterflies around the gardens and is family and dog friendly :) parking is best 100m away where there are shops and a pub. Highly recommend this cafe.
Emma Carrick
I ordered the vegan pancakes and while the serving size and presentation was great, the meal itself was much to sweet. I also sampled the vegan brownie and that was delicious!
Niamh McGuire
Very good value for the amount of quality food you get per dish. Coffee is beautiful and a great wide range of diverse vegan foods. This cafe offers something for everybody. The service however can be a bit stand off ish.
Paris
My friend and I had brunch here this morning and really enjoyed it! It's in a slightly difficult hidden spot so we ended up parking at the tavern and walked down. We both ordered the small big breakfast and cappuccinos. They were busy but we were able to grab a table. The staff seemed a bit stressed but quick and nice enough. The food and coffee was lovely and delicious! Would definitely go back, highly recommend! 😊

Nice place. So many choices for vegan and vegetarian breakfast. My breakfast was near perfect and I would rated it 5 star if poached eggs were runny.<br/><br/>Thanks for lovely meal

I picked up the most delicious prana chai with almond milk from here this morning. Service was lovely, the vegan cakes on display look amazing and the orange poppy seed cookie I succumbed to was perfectly balanced and delicious.
Anika Fyfe
Really mixed feelings about this cafe. The vegan avocado salsa was absolutely shocking: fully drenched in mayo/balsamic, barely any mayo, tragic piece of sourdough and definitely not enough avocado to be called avocado salsa. Chat latte and coffee were good but very luke warm. However the banana choc chip pancakes with the peanut butter mouse were absolutely incredible, literally perfect. So was the banana coconut bread we tried and the chocolate brownie. Such mixed feelings because the savoury dish was unacceptable but the sweet things were amazing. I had the vegan pancakes (today they were rhubarb crumble) with salted caramel gelato - it was so amazingly delicious! My coffee-snob boyfriend loved the coffee, as well as his eggs Benedict. Highly recommended place to go!
Lauren
I got the most amazing vegan cupcakes from here for a friend's birthday. They were so delicious, the nicest cupcakes I've had in ages and everyone commented on how beautifully decorated they were too!
Hailee
Food is hit or miss. It's either really good or really bad, though the vegan options are great. The worst part is the customer service, which is awful. I've never received even a smile from the staff.
YohohoBrekky
TLDR: Average quality food, bad service.  Some observations made concur with the feedback other users have given. <br/><br/>We'd been here before for brekky on a Saturday a few years ago so we decided to try it again, remembering that our experience the last time had been rather positive.  Note to prospective customers - the menu prices in the photos above are out of date as they have raised their prices on several items by a few dollars. <br/><br/>FOOD:  We ordered the fritters with a side of pulled pork, a small brekky, a cappuccino and a green smoothie. The fritters were slightly floury and the pulled pork tasted slightly sour. The hash brown on the small brekky was blackened in several parts and soggy as well. Scrambled eggs were overcooked. Bacon was well crisped. Beans on toast were tasty. Cappuccino was  made with too much milk, could hardly taste the coffee in it. <br/><br/>SERVICE: One of the worst experiences we have ever had for breakfast. The lady at the till did not even know that there was a pulled pork option with the fritters! When we pointed to the option on the menu, she shrugged and gave us an exasperated expression. She also gave us the wrong order - we ordered pulled pork but we were given the vegan pulled pork. <br/><br/>Waitress was also very unhelpful. We asked her if she could assist with an outdoor table and her response was , 'I probably won't remember.' A minute later she cleared plates off a table that had just been vacated.

A quirky little cafe, in an out of the way spot, serving vegan friendly, wholesome food, with tasty choices for the meat lovers too. Casual and warm service with a simple menu, and an attractive array of cabinet food. Well recommended.
Matchalover
Ordered the vegan pulled jackfruit burger. Tasted ok but not fantastic for $24 per burger. Had a good variety of vegan desserts which was good.
Perth Eater
Vegans like this place. Coffee is always undrinkable. They need to learn how to make a cup of black coffee. Open kitchen. Saw a cook eating food with fingers while preparing food. Saw cook wipe bench with tea towel then dry a chopping knife with the same towel. Yucky. Not a good look. Staff are surprisingly not friendly or talkative. Chef is friendly though.

-UPDATE-<br/><br/>I came back here because my sister has never been and wanted to try their food. Being a Sunday it was SUPER busy. And because it's already such a small cafe there were people standing squished up as the tables were taken.<br/><br/>Today we did have good service with a friendly smile and made to feel welcome. Although this time the food was really bad. We asked for take away because there was nowhere to sit. We ordered the vegan Bigmac with wedges, a tempeh 'butter chicken' wrap and 2 cold pressed juices. This came to $54.<br/><br/>Bigmac and wedges - $25 <br/>Toasted tempeh wrap - $15<br/>Cold pressed juices - $15 for 2<br/><br/>After waiting about 25 minutes which we were aware we would as we'd been told when ordering, we got our food and left. We went down the a park and ate there. <br/>Really disappointed with the lot. The juices were packed with ice and tasted watered down. Not sure if made in the cafe as I didn't see or if it is ordered in? <br/>The toasted tempeh wrap was really off putting. It wasn't tasty and the baby spinach and sprouts were so wilted as if the wrap wasn't made fresh and not sure if it was left over from the day before or the produce itself wasn't fresh. <br/>The wedges with the bigmac was such a small serve about a handful and they were half cold, some bits hard and some bits soggy. Originally I thought they were made in house but they tasted store bought. <br/>The Bigmac was actually given to another customer first and then a few minutes later they realised it was ours. The Bigmac sauce itself tasted nice but the burger itself had parts around the edges that were hard, the burger was cold and the cheese wasn't that melted. <br/><br/>For that price we could have had a nice meal somewhere else for half the price. <br/>Doubt we will be going back. But I do see a pattern now. The food is either really good with bad customer service or really bad with good customer service.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>-First Review-<br/><br/>The food is really good I can't fault it yet but again the service is bad. I've been here a few times now and I never get a smile or am I made to feel welcome. <br/>There is quite a wait for food and I've never had anyone telling me 'you're food will be out soon' when I am waiting. <br/><br/>Even so after I've finished I haven't had anyone ask me how my meal was. Working in hospitality for 16 years allows you to know what good customer service is. <br/><br/>Great food and lots of vegan options but the cafe just needs to pick up on their friendly customer service. I hope you can take this as positive feedback only to improve in this area. Everything has been improving smoothly since you have opened, it would be a shame to tarnish that reputation even more.

We came here at 3:20pm, so there wasn't much food left, but we were only there for the delicious sounding vegan cakes. The only flavour left was the vegan blueberry and dark chocolate with buttercream frosting. I think the icing to cake ratio was perfect- with just enough icing to moisten the cake. The chocolate was so rich and not dry, while the icing was creamy and smooth.
Candice
My awesome little local cafe that's so busy sometimes I wish people didn't know about this hidden secret! I'm not vegan but there vegan cupcakes are seriously awesome they have truly perfected the recipe. Eaten breakfast here more than I can remember and it's always yummy! Coffee good too! And I've ordered a cake for a party and it was OMG amazing!!
Lady X
The pulled pork burger was surprisingly good, although the texture was not like pork, the taste was similar. We had the mojito cake too and the coconut cream went really well with the lime flavour. Loved the smoothness and richness of the coconut buttercream. Not sure if it is always available but do try it if you see it!
Pizzasnob
Perfect pantry opened around 2010 when half the crowd was still discovering Facebook and iPhone where just new in the market. 6 years on they are still going strong and moulding themselves to the market needs and trends. I have had their coffee on a number of occasions and highly recommend it to everyone. From there beans to the milk it is all close to perfection. This gem is hidden in a corner so you will have to make that extra effort to find it but your efforts will be surely rewarded. All the best and love from an old client :)

Absolutely in love with this place. The food is always fresh and tasty! I haven't eaten one meal at this cafe that I haven't enjoyed. The selection of cakes and donuts are incredible and are always moist and fluffy. There isn't one person who I've brought to Pearfect Pantry that hasn't fallen in love. Just wish they had a bigger location because they deserve it.

Came accross this quirky little brekkie spot on instagram snd had to check it out im glad i did, the food tasted so delicious will definitely return

Wowser! What a wide array of options, from vegan to meat. It's often one or the other, so it's great that no one is excluded. I went for the vegan parmie - naughty but nice. I'd definitely visit again
Anna
Love the food and portion sizes here. Lots of vegan n veg options. Really love the acai berry n green smoothies. Wish they had better tables and overhead cover for outside.
Bri
A hidden gem for vegans and vegos. The cake was probably the highlight but enjoyed our vegan breakfasts too. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly.
Ian
Love the food and the setting vegan and meat Allows something for all. Just the lace for Sunday breakfast. Nice walk around the lake to get there. Jay fits the spot<br/><br/>
Emma Louise
One of my all time favs.  Perfect because you can go here with your vegan and meat eater friends and the menu suits all.  Everything I've had here is insanely good and picture perfect (which is always important).  They have a wide range on their menu and rather interesting things you can order which I love.  Definately going back soon
Haynizzle
Quite an interesting menu, and one that I actually had trouble finding something I would eat without needing to make substitutions, though I admittedly (and unashamedly so) have quite odd dietary habits: paleo pescetarian.<br/><br/>Savoury items on the menu seemed to either have tofu or bacon - the former which I'd prefer not to eat, and the latter which I'd refuse to eat. Even the zucchini bread in the Paleo Avocado Dukkah had bacon! Thankfully, Pearfect Pantry offer a gluten free substitute that turned it into a dish that I thoroughly enjoyed: the sweetness of the beetroot relish, the saltiness of the feta, the nutty spice of the dukkah, and the golden yolks of the perfectly poached eggs oozing over the gluten-free bread; perfect.
SinCity
This is an unusual little spot! The food is great, with a range of options on the menu catering for all including vegans. The interior is a little strange/out of date but the staff are nice just not that attentive.<br/>Overall, great for a casual tasty meal.
Believeinyourself
Lots of vegan options in this little ticked away cafe, I wished there were more gluten free choices though as there were hardly any. They don't do substitutions so if you have any restrictions or allergies you'll just have to pay extra and take stuff off, which for the prices they charge is a bit over the top. The food is good here, vegan hot dogs slathered in mustard and caramelised onion, the breakfast options simple but tasty and the vegan cupcakes and desserts worth a try. Would have scored them higher if they were more flexible and friendly.
Vegetarian
Excellent place for a quick lunch on a work day. Delicious range of vegan/vego wraps, frittatas and the like in the fridge and they only take a moment to heat up. I was comfortably out of there in one hour, which is always a good thing. Lovely ambience sitting outside in the sun.
ChrissyK
Lovely vegan food and drinks. Had the big breaky and the waffle. Great searving sizes and presentation. Had a berry banana almond milk smoothie and an almond milk coffee too. The place was packed at opening time. Only thing - its pay at the counter and go and select your own cutlery!
More Than Nourishment
Limited breakfast menu during the week. Had the eggs and bacon. It was a good standard breakfast but nothing special. I feel like it's a dish that I could make at home so not worth the $20. Staff were super friendly.
Greenplategirl
Cute little hidden cafe in Glendalough. Heaps of vegan (& meat) options. Shared a vegan milkshake which was nice & my dairy living husband enjoyed too. I got chicken, Brie & cranberry tart with a salad. Tart was buttery, flakey with lovely fluffy egg filling. Husband had BLT on a nice Rosemary roll. A nice quick lunch spot :)
Abbey Jayne
I love this place. The food is spectacular, to look at and to eat. The coffee (Fiori) is decent too. Went here breakfast on Sunday morning, we had the big brekkie and the pumpkin brekkie (pumpkin bread topped with roasted pumpkin, capsicum, dukkah, pesto & I added a poached egg). Pretty sure it was right up there with the best breakfast I've ever had! I know it's part of the vibe but I would love to see some better cafe chairs - I'm by no means big and felt a bit worried I was going to fall through my flimsy cheap wobbly seat. But it's a risk I'm willing to take for such delicious food!
Doublerainbow
Bit of a strange location and a bit out of the way for me. But they have great vegan options and it was worth the trip. The vegan waffles were fantastic, as are the range of vegan cakes and cupcakes. Service can be a bit slow though.
Michael Horner
Recently starting eating at the Pearfect Pantry. What an amazing vegan breakfast! I love this place and the food is great. Can be a bit expensive but you get a delicous meal.
InMyFaceHole
This has a fantastic selection - especially if you're a vegan! I tried the buffalo wrap which had faux chicken (think it was like a tofu chickpea creation) and salad. They toasted it for me so it went really soggy which was a real bummer! Tasted great though. I also tried the raw peanut butter slice - WAY too sweet for me but I'm sure it would be a real crowd pleaser with the sweet tooths out there! These two items cost me $14 which I thought was a bit steep, and the wrap was the cheapest lunch item (at $7). Staff were really friendly.

When A and I were in Canberra, one of our favourite cafes to go to was Sweet Bones, a vegan café that served fantastic baked goods. Coming back to Perth, I was keen to try somewhere similar, and seeing as though Pearfect Pantry is always busy, my friend Tash and I decided to try it. Pearfect Pantry is located in Wembley, in amongst a row of apartment blocks. The venue itself is small and a little cramped inside, but the outdoor area offers more space. Tash and I initially sat outside but had to move inside due to rain. Luckily, we were able to get the last table, as Pearfect Pantry is busy on weekend mornings.
Some Like It Hot
Not the best unless you are vegan. Coffee is ok. Been several times due to vegan friends but won't come back. I've had bad poached eggs, badly fried not homemade hash browns, some vegan option that was mush. Staff are nice though. My vegan friends love it.
Zoe Xavier
As a vegan I totally love this place! I had the vegan big brekky and it was great! The only downfall is the staff attitudes, they don't smile or have any enthusiasm when serving customers and are even somewhat rude, but then when they are amongst themselves they are completely opposite. Thank god the food is good.
TheSoloAvocado.com
This is a really interesting place. I have no idea why it is where it is, set amongst high density apartment living, along a path that winds amongst the blocks. It's almost like you are going to a communal outbuilding. Once you find it, it's like any other cafe except its surrounded by apartments and colourbond fencing. Don't let this put you off, you can sit inside. Now the important stuff. The coffee is excellent and the food is very good. I had a chicken wrap and he had and chrorizo lasagna. We couldn't fault either. The service was very quick, putting other far more popular places to shame. This is worth looking for - just spot the sandwich board and follow the directions. If you think you've gone wrong, you're in the right place.
Import
The food was tasty however the place needs to be better run. I went for a quick lunchtime sandwich and coffee. The place was not busy yet the staff looked flustered and could barely crack a smile. Got my coffee within about 6 minutes of ordering. 15 minutes later I had to go and ask on the status of my sandwich, which, as it turns out, was just coming off the grill. Now, a ready made up BLT sandwich does not take twenty minutes to toast. You can whip one up from scratch in that timeframe.

It took us three passes to eventually work out parking, which we did at the pub down the road. There needs to be better signage or at least something on the website that offers parking options for new patrons.<br/><br/>I know it was a hot day and the aircon wasn't working, but the young girl taking orders at the till was almost useless. Manners and some personality wouldn't go astray. And here's a tip, when a customer asks a question, perhaps offer some alternatives instead of giving a one word answer.<br/><br/>The food, however, was delicious. We had a vegan sweet potato dish, burger and acai smoothie. No complaints there and the serves were so good that we left feeling full. Actually, I think we ate too much!<br/><br/>With a few things fixed this place could be much more than its current status.<br/><br/>*UPDATE* Visited again in June and the place was night and day different in terms of staff friendliness. Food was excellent once again. Rating adjusted accordingly.
Vegemicated
Great vegan range and friendly staff. Food was delicious but can be a bit of a wait when busy. It's in an odd location but still plenty of parking up the residential streets. Would highly recommend to all vegans. I have been for breakfast meals only and the waffles are amazing! And the portion sizes are very generous. I live in Fremantle and let me tell you, it's worth the drive. Pet friendly too.
Everyday Weekends (Yoshika)
I absolutely love The Pearfect Pantry, so much that I kind of want to keep it a secret. This little inconspicuous cafe looks kind of weird and kooky and it's at a strange location, but the place is whole heartedly unpretentious and the food is seriously on point. Boasting a varied range of dishes, including many vegan and vegetarian options, I think The Pearfect Pantry has secured its spot in my top 5.
Pubgrubenthusiast
Amazing food!! I love the variety and the talent of the chefs to make vegan food THAT tasty! Will be back as soon as humanely possible..keep up the good work!

If you're a vegan, definitely recommend checking this place out. It's in a weird location, but the food choices are amazing, and the desserts are also amazing. Been there a few times now and has surprised and delighted me each time.

I love this place!  The food is fantastic the range for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free people is fantastic.  The decor is quirky and the atmosphere is great.<br/><br/>I had a vegetarian Lasagne which was amazing.  Iced chocolate was great.  The coffee is properly good.<br/><br/>It's very busy most times, but worth a wait.

I can't go past their vegan dishes. If someone can do a vegan dish that quenches my hunger for meat I'm impressed. Plus have desserts that don't obviously taste vegan, I'm sold. The coffee is so so sooo good. My daughter loves playing there, it's so child friendly. The staff are awesome & I can never fault them. I would drive 25mins every day to eat if the wallet permitted.

Amazing service! Amazing healthy food! So delicious. I had the avocado salsa. It was fresh, full of flavour and filling. Would recommend to anyone! Coffee was also great which was a bonus.

It was a deliberate decision to meet at Pearfect. I was intrigued by the location amongst the units on Herdsman Parade. Windy, cold day so we sat inside. Terrific food that would satisfy a truck load of vegans, vegetarians and even a few meat eaters like us three. Sadly, the vegan cakes were too vegan. We like butter and eggs in our cakes and our choices sat forlornly on the table after a few sample bites. Quite a contrast to the empty plates after the pie.

Been there for a take away lunch after reading all the reviews. Place is in the odd location. Have to park up the road to walk down. Food was expensive for what I got. But interesting place.

Living in this new area, I’ve been keen to find the local haunts and after a little digging, I discovered that  The Pear'fect Pantry was in fact a cafe, and according to Urbanspoon, a popular one at that. So, I decided to go for a stroll...
Ben_graham132
Amazing service, amazing food.. I frequent Pearfect each week for breakfast each Sunday, and lunch each Friday. The staff are amazing and remember us by name, the food is even better. The lunch menu changes fortnightly and never disappoints. Go here, you will not regret it.
La-Rachelle
Great hidden gem. This place was hard to find at first but after parking at the bar we walked down and had the most amazing breakfast. The menu is so amazing its hard to decide. I ordered the pulled pork poached egg on jalapeno bread which was so great but ended up being slightly jealous of dads big vegetarian breakfast! The tofu scrambled eggs OMG they really cater for everyone. GO HERE!! so good.

Best food and amazing service. I really enjoyed my visit to this amazing little cafe the food was amazing and even tho I'm not a vegan the variety of food catering for vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters such as myself was nothing like I've seen done in others cafes in Perth. The service is also the best I've had in a long time. A happy vibing place to have a great well priced feed!<br/><br/><br/>-----12 Apr, 2015-----<br/><br/>Best food and amazing service. Not as good as I expected. After following them on instagram for a while i couldn't wait to try this place for the delicious looking vegan food on offer so i made the trek to wembley one afternoon for a later-ish lunch (1.30pm). I was a little disappointed to get there and only have one vegan option left in the cabinet after the lunch rush. The mexican stack was yum though and came with a little salad on the side and i also got a vegan cupcake as they looked great albiet not healthy. Enjoyed the food but it wasnt the best value and not the vegan variety and availability i feel is advertised on social media. If you live in the area its worth a visit though.

The Pearfect Pantry - Best Little Cafe in Perth. “The Pearfect Pantry” is located in a rather unassuming location that’s quite easy to miss-in between blocks of flats at 49 Herdsman Parade, Wembley WA; The simplistic decor allows the beauty of the food to really shine, and the flavors of every dish have remarkable depth that is truly hard to beat<br/><br/>After enjoying many weekend breakfasts at “The Pearfect Pantry”, I decided to have them cater my 50 birthday celebrations on 24/1/15 – and they didn’t let me down. I had a brilliant mixture of food that included the best ever Mexican corn frittata; Maple bacon, brie & spinach tart; Roasted pumpkin, feta, caramelised onion tart; Quinoa salad; Brown rice, mushroom & tofu salad and raspberry and white chocolate mini muffins every experienced. Then of course there were the beef + jalapeno sausage rolls that made topped off a sensational selection of dishes for a great evening.<br/><br/>Thank you Bernadette and your wonderful staff. <br/><br/>A real gem and worth experiencing.<br/><br/>Cheers<br/>Peta

Avo-Lime Salsa and a terribly rich peanut butter cake!!. I went in with my partner and have never been there before a friend suggested the place to us, it was hard to find a really unusual setting for a cafe as it looked misplaced. However don't let the girl who bought us our meal with the green hair put you off, and tattoos as she was possibly the nicest person I saw there as she was polite and she seemed to have a good sense of humour. And her food possibly saved the trip there for us, as the service at the till was awkward and mismanaged and the coffee was cold and as for the cake it was like eating a whole jar of peanut butter it was sickly. Also it looked unkempt at the front possibly like the girl behind the counter. Never to be repeated.

Dissapointing. Even though Urbanspoon and Facebook says that they open at 7, the menu does not start until 7.30. The chef was 20 mins late which means we got there at 7am and didnt receive food until 8am. Service is shocking. No apology by the wait staff or chef for taking so long, it then came out looking like it had just been thrown together.

Decent food, not so decent service. Unfortunately this place has quite a long wait for food during busy periods - we had to wait some time to order as there was no one ready to serve customers, we then watched as the wait staff shambolically brought food out for other customers - not sure who had ordered what with food going to wrong tables. The food was nice, nothing special. The place also needs to work on their set up for hot days - sitting outside in direct sunlight was almost unbearable.

Coconut chia pot. So tasty
Mmp2
Disappointing. Just not worth it after hearing how great the place was. I agree with the negative comments about the staff, however one or two seemd to try. Remember, you are in the SERVICE industry, and whilst it's great to be "different", the people frequenting your establishment are paying for your services - so please deliver !

Quality food. Friendly staff. Not fancy.. From the outside I wasn't sure about this place but I was soon very pleasantly surprised! The breakfast absolutely delicious! Great serving sizes. It's not fancy but it is quality food. Fantastic vegan and vegetarian options too- my sister is vegan and this is her Saturday local. I really like this little place.

A surprise, for sure. This place is tucked between rows of apartment buildings, behind a communal laundry; no parking. It's like someone decided to run a coffee shop in their own yard. Neighbours walk by in their pyjamas, doing their laundry, taking out garbage, minding their own business. A unique spot for sure. <br/><br/>When we arrived here at lunch hour, the place was deserted. We took it as a bad sign but decided to give the café a go based on the Urbanspoon ratings.<br/><br/>We tried the prosciutto and blue cheese salad, which we thougth to be - a salad. Instead, it was a flaky pastry pie filled with heaps of egg and fried onion, whit hints of blue cheese and ordinary ham. No prosciutto. A handful of spinach leaves covered in dijon sauce around the pie constitued the salad. Quite average, all in all.<br/><br/>For a dessert, we decided to share a cookie crumble cupcake. The cupcake was most definitely not baked there but bought in bulk. The icing tasted artificial and greasy too. The whole thing was crowned by a soggy piece of an oreo cookie. <br/><br/>The staff were friendly and attentive and they did their best to save the day. However, I can't for the life of me to understand why this place has received such good Urbanspoon ratings.

I love this place. I always enjoy the food here. Theirs stacks are amazing. I love the Mexican chicken stack the best. Also their their big breakfast was pretty nice as well. The baked beans that come with it take the dish to a next level.

Absolute hidden gem. I only found this little place tucked away because of Urbanspoon, and I'm so glad I did. Really delicious, ever-changing menu, reasonably priced for what you're getting, and a massive cut above (and very different from) anything else in the area. I'm surprised at some of the bad reviews - it's a bit of a hike out of my way but the excellent food and coffee and good service has been worth it every time.

American pie pancakes with bacon. Best pancakes ever.

Not much to say. Have been a few times now and the staff are always looking depressed and have foul looks on their face. Terrible to speak to and they definitely haven't been taught how to treat paying customers! Food was a let down today as well so I won't be back.

New local. Love this place, since I moved down the road it's been my go to place! Even purchased their tapas hamper for a picnic at kingspark

Good. Was a pleasant surprise. clean, appealing and service was excellent. coffee crowd seemed to be regulars. however, forewarn you about the waiting time. 35 mins for 2 mains to be served when only 3 tables were taken. will be returning as food was great!
Lisa
A favourite. I love this place! The menu changes regularly but is always creative and I have enjoyed every meal I've had here - from mince meat for breakfast (I wasn't sure it would work, but it did!) to your more traditional avocado spiced smash. Chilled out outdoor setting with toys for the kids.

Pleasant little cafe restaurant with delicious menu and friendly staff. 4 of us dined in with two not getting meals for over 30 minutes due to 'system error'. Food was to dine for and coffees came out without delay.
Sarah
After being described as a hidden gem in wembley I was really looking forward to trying this cafe with so many healthy options. Dragged hubby and pup along on a hot Saturday afternoon excited for the all day breakfast menu. Hubby's first choice wasn't available so second choice was poached egg on toast with side of bacon. I ventured from my normal order and opted for the corn zucchini fritters with mango salsa. So disappointed overall... Hard poached eggs with soggy toast, the fritters had barely any zucchini and tasted like greasy pancakes :-( left $40 lighter with an unhappy hungry husband!

Healthy Heaven. Cute little tucked away cafe. Great selection of Healthy food at good prices. They do a great Chai Latte but the coffee can be a bit touch and go at times. Always friendly service. Nice spot for a friendly meet-up.

Travelling Geordie. This cafe is well worth a stop good food and pleasant service tucked away but good and wholesome.

Worst most unprofessional place I've ever been to.

Amazing brekkie and super cute store. Easy relaxing and perfect on a stroll around the lake

This is one of my favourite places to eat... the food is amazing and i have been a regular for a long time..<br/>the service, however, can be exxxtremely average.<br/>the girls will ensure they finish the conversation amongst themselves, before serving a customer... and they can often just be flat out rude. Serious lack of friendliness which is a shame because it's such a cute/inviting place!
Ummibby
Generous brunch. Couldn't think of where to treat my best mate to his last breakfast in perth before he flew back to Blighty and then i remembered this place. it was a week day so wasn't sure what was on offer - they do a great gourmet brunch at the weekends only. <br/><br/>well we weren't disappointed - lovely coffee, huge brunches, fresh ingredients and no pretence or queues<br/><br/>the only downside is they charge for the papers - i think all good cafes should have them for free.
Jordantyla
Went here for breakfast this morning, coffee was pretty good, a lot of froth for a flat white but was a good coffee regardless. The food? Amazing. Had the vegan salsa breakfast, I will definitely be returning for this treat!! Used to come here all the time, the vibe isn't as upbeat and funky anymore but still a pretty cool place overall.
CamSaya
Tasty "home made" food, great burgers, even vegan burgers, coffee is good, very friendly staff. This location is a little hard to make pretty but they do such a great job with food its worth a go and you'll be back.
Joan
Been here a couple if times and had terrible service. Food seems rather expensive for what u get. Coffee was alright but nothing to rave about.
Will
Third time nice service for a change. I always enjoy this place for big servings and hearty food with many diet trendy options too. The park behind is a hidden gem too.<br/><br/>The staff were actually nice this third time.
Amy
Extremely Rude Service. Had breakfast on Saturday, and had the most horrendous service. The food was great, but the girls were all SO rude. Not even a smile.
GC Queen
Went twice this week for breakfast. Had the vegan breakfast one day & rhubarb & spiced orange porridge the next. Both Delish! Service ok, don't mind when the good is so good! Took a friend from Melbourne who was blown away by this place. Coming back for the brownies!

Great coffee and wifi. I was a little bit weirded out by the location of the cafe as it feels as though you are heading into a block of flats but this is definitely a hidden gem! The coffee and great and 'coffee plus muffin' deal too good to resist. The cake flavours were exciting and I loved that there are vegan options. The wifi is great and the staff didn't harass me to purchase more coffee/food whilst I was doing my work, even though I was there for over an hour. Will totally make this cafe a regular stop!
Hungry Vegan
I think if any of the waitresses here broke a smile or engaged with the customer instead of ignoring you & may be every once in a while used some manners it'd be a much more pleasant experience. One saving grace is the food which is pricey but very good.
Channy
Tempeh wrap was amazing! As was the vegan peppermint choc cupcake! Love it!

Noice. Dropped in for a quick takeaway lunch. Cool little place, easy to miss. Nice sandwitches

Popped in for a quick lunch. Very tasty stromboli but the service was terrible. Sullen (irish?) waitress greeted me without looking at me, then almost threw the plate of food in front of me with a careless "here you go". Smiles must cost extra here. $13 stromboli was very tasty but served nude on the plate with not even a token side salad, I was disappointed before I started my meal. A small handful of salad would cost little yet add so much. Not likely to return soon. Shame because the food was good.

Awesome little place. Have been here couple of times, and I think for a little cafe they do have a really nice choice in their display fridge and their burgers are delish (esp the vegan cheese burger!). Not sure about the coffee as I just tried the other drinks. Also I think the staff is very friendly. Glad I found this place, will come back!
Lucky Bags
Yikes. Came out here for lunch with a friend. Took us a while to find cafe as it's actually hidden within the grounds of a block of flats, which is fine. Sometimes the hidden, unassuming gems are the best ones<br/><br/>To give credit where credit is due, they have done a good job utilising and decorating the old 70's-style common hall. There are a generous amount of tables inside, and there is also a good -sized outdoor dining area.<br/><br/>We managed to have a glance at some of the nice-looking food in the display cabinet and grabbed a menu to peruse. The lunch time menu looked nice, but consisted of mostly burgers. I wasn't really in the mood for a burger, so I opted for the pork-belly wrap with salad in the cabinet. The girl serving at the counter wasn't rude, but she wasn't pleasant either (the grunting and mumbling type). She took my order and then my friend's, who ordered a chicken parmigiana.<br/><br/>About 10 minutes after we made our orders, one of the waitresses comes out to inform my friend that they have run out of chicken. It would have been nice to know that 10 minutes earlier when he made the order. Anyway, he decided on the lamb burger instead. About 5 minutes after this, I received my wrap which had been toasted (my friend's burger nowhere in sight - of course only being made to order 5 minutes ago). I decided to wait for my friend's burger to arrive before eating my wrap, so as to be polite. I waited 5 minutes. before I realised my wrap was starting to get a bit cold. The wrap was super oily. Yes, it was my fault for ordering pork belly, but I had no idea how oily it was until the bottom of my plate was covered in yellowy/orange oil. I could only eat half my wrap and my clothes still smell like the oil from my wrap :/ Overkill!<br/><br/>About 20 minutes after I was served my wrap, my friend's burger arrived. Unacceptable! It is not good to serve one half of the table's food 20 minutes before the other person gets theirs. Yes, I know I ordered a wrap that only needed toasting, but it would have been nicer for me to have waited and received the meals at the same time. I felt rude finishing my meal, before he had even received his. When he did finally receive it, he was given no apology for the wait, it was just slammed on the table.<br/><br/>To be fair, my friend's burger looked delicious and was a very generous serving. He did say it was tasty too.<br/><br/>After we finished with our lunch, we walked up to the counter to get a cake and for my friend, a coffee. I ordered the passion fruit creme cake, which was the size of a cupcake and cost me $5.00. The cake had a nice flavour about it. The cream filling was nice and fresh, but the cake was a tad on the dry side. Funnilly enough, my friend had to wait an extra 15 minutes (again!) for his coffee, which came out looking like a home-made Milo with coffee-spillage dribble down the side (attached picture does not show side with dribble), without a saucer and a large dessert spoon sticking out of it. LOL. Again, this was slammed on the table with no acknowledgement or apology for the delay. Apparently, the coffee tasted OK, but the presentation was really strange.<br/><br/>Overall, I am a bit disappointed with this place. It has great reviews, so I may have come on a bad day, but I had high expectations which did not deliver and I am quite forgiving of most faults. For me a restaurant can pass on mediocre service if the food is good. For me, both aspects fell short of the mark. I won't be returning anytime soon.
ANGRY COFFEE MAN
The higher percentage of this place clearly comes from locals; I liked the spoon afloat in my coffee? Seriously?. Today we experienced a rather abysmal time at the PP. Firstly, the location is dirty; it is right behind a run down laundromat and run down apartments, which is OK, but when you start having lizards running on the wall at the restaurant you know something isn't right.<br/><br/>To start off with, we ordered the chicken parmigiana and my friend ordered a pulled pork wrap. The dispassionate waitress took our money and we chose our seats towards the corner, where we were greeted by a lizard on the wall.<br/><br/>Anwyay, about 10 minutes later, the waitress (another surly one), approached our table only to tell me that they have no chicken parmigianas left....mind you there's only about 10 people in the cafe at this point.<br/>So I changed my order to the lamb burger, and she hustled away without even an apology or anything.<br/><br/>About 5 minutes after this, our smoothies arrive, and so does my friends meal. Great I thought....unfortunately, my lamb burger ends up arriving about 20 minutes later. Meanwhile my friends meal is completely drenched in oil that she holds it up and I can witness it leaking.<br/><br/>Eventually my lamb burger comes and I can't find much fault with it, it was delicious. However, it's still awkward as my friend has already finished everything.<br/><br/>After this she purchases a passion fruit dessert, and without a price tag on it, we hear the third insouciant waitress just guesstimate the price at "$5". I was really taken aback at this as it definitely sounded like they were making up the price, and the woman at the till had a confused look on her face.<br/><br/>I decide to try a coffee; this was the biggest mistake of the cafe. Not only does it take almost 25 MINUTES for it to arrive, but when it finally came I was APPALLED. The waitress just DUMPED it on the table, and it didn't come with any saucer. It was leaking on the side, and the worst part of it all, there was a DESERT SPOON STICKING in it.<br/><br/>I would not waste my time or money here again.
Wemblacross
Homely food, great place for breakfasts including good coffee. Staff have an aversion to smiling apparently. I have been there over 5 times and have yet to be served by someone wearing a smile, this does detract significantly from the homely environment. Having said that, I still go back for the food! Lunches are a little pricey, but prob just worth it. Bring on the smiles Pearfect Pantry!

Lamb burger for lunch is a great choice.

Very simple quirky decor but the food and coffee quality is great! Recommend the quinoa and lentil patty and the peach crumble.

Delicious coconut bread and the banana smoothie was to die for! will be back to try the lunch menu :))

This place truly is a hidden gem! Literally its hidden by laundry building!!<br/><br/>Its a cute little cafe with alot of character!<br/><br/>The food is beautiful and they give you so many options for tea that its heaven for a tea lover (which is why I love this place!) <br/><br/>Definitely go check it out! It will also be a lover for people who cant eat gluten!

Been here 5 times, service could be friendlier but the creativity and variety of food keeps me coming back.
Le Fay
Terrible service. They 'lost' our booking, sighed like it was our fault and said they'd make do. Not good enough. No apology, no accountability. The food was tasty, fresh, good value for money. I wouldn't hurry back due to the poor service, but the food is much better than standard cafe fare.
Anthea
Another delicious breakfast at the Pearfect Pantry. Thanks guys for a Happy Fathers Day!
Jo
Fab food makes up for service. Food here has been nothing but exceptional, the eggs bene bagel is a favourite! Love the changing menu and new and exciting savouries and sweets. Coffee isn't exceptionally good but does the trick.<br/>Service runs a bit hot and cold, there's sometimes a long wait, staff always seem rushed and sometimes grumpy. That being said, my love for the food has kept me coming back time and time again. Pearfect for a lazy brunch, not recommended if you're in a rush!
Ferris
Customer Service??????. I think I read something like curt & unsmiling in a review earlier. I have been here quite a few times because it's organic and nearby my workplace. I'd have to say if there were other options, I probably wouldn't come here at all. The service is appalling. I don't think I've had one person in there smile, be the slightest bit helpful or even want to have to serve you.<br/><br/>The porridge is good especially when they have quince available (sometimes a bit scary to ask for that with the look you get for the possible inconvenience this might create, the crepes okay but wouldn't buy them again, coffee's not bad, but cups are quite big so if you drink black coffee seems quite watered down. Lunches options reasonably tasty. What I was really disappointed with though are the cake options. The cakes and muffins look amazing, but taste stale and a little lacking in flavour. Mostly stale though, like they've been there for 3 or 4 days.<br/><br/>This place has so much potential, but if you're not interested in people you shouldn't be in the customer service industry. Wouldn't recommend it because of food or service, but maybe because of location and the idea that maybe it'll get better.

The worst place for breakfast ever!. Its a sunday brunch tradition in our household on a sunday morning. wanting to try something new we went along to the pearfect pantry, hidden behind a laundromat... (that should raise some questions there, right?) we had a group of 5 of us, and there weren't any table available that weren't built for 4 year olds having a tea party. after having a look at the menu and being served by quite a rude cashier, we proceeded to wit for 45 minutes for our food. we got our coffee after about 20, but that wasn't even drinkable, it tasted more like dirty water than anything. looking for something sweet, i ordered the waffles. they came out drenched in cream and looking quite unappetizing, but i gave it a go. i wasn't even able to put my fork in the waffles because it was so hard!!! it felt like i was trying to cut a brick.... i have to say i left that place quite unhappy, vowing never ever to return again. <br/><br/>BE WARNED.
Trust Me
Love - Love - Love. My partner and I enjoy coming here for breakfast. Its a hidden gem in Wembley. We love how its quite - not to say the place isn't filled with people (it is) but it's nice to get away from the main strips of Perth for breakfast.

Yummy Weekend Breakfasts. I was a bit skeptical to meet my friend for breakfast here, as the location seems odd - tucked away behind a laundromat in a sea of concrete.<br/><br/>Once you've figured out where to park, and followed the signs to the cafe - I'm sure you'll be as surprised as I was to see the Pearfect Pantry standing bright, bold and welcoming.<br/><br/>Sufficient tables (it was nice sitting outside) and friendly service, I was excited to check out the menu.<br/><br/>The weekend breakfast menu quite a few choices - all very different from one another.<br/><br/>I decided on the "Seeded Porridge, with Raspberry & Rosewater Compote, Yogurt and Roasted Almonds", whilst my friend chose the "Homemade Creamed Corn with Grilled Chorizo, Poached Eggs, Roasted Tomato and Spinach on Toast"<br/><br/>Obviously we had to taste test eachothers meals, as they came out looking magnificent - and very large servings!<br/><br/>The porridge took me by surprise and was delicious and not too sweet, while the creamed corn meal combined the perfect flavours. Delicious! (We both polished our plates!)<br/><br/>With the atmosphere pretty relaxed we stayed for almost 4 hours chatting and drinking coffee (also very good coffee!). My only gripe would be that the muffin we ordered later on was not overly flavoursome and a little dry. But once toasted (and with butter) - it went down a treat.<br/><br/>We will definitely go again! :-)
Yumchagirl
Great food but the service.... Been a few times now and have loved the food on offer but must agree with many of the reviewers who comment on the service. It has bordered on rude though most of the time it's been simply curt and unsmiling. We had one disappointing incident after ordering a long mac in a large takeaway cup - it was delivered to us with the lady then asking us rudely if we'd paid for the extra shot as it was large size - give us a break! That's their job to know before they take our money! <br/>Will still go back as love the food, location, concept, but do believe that smiles should be included with the service.
FatCat
I'd go back.. I've put off going here because of the location, but despite the kind of dreary surrounds they've managed to make this place feel good. Good coffee and the buttered eggs, with labne, dukka and wilted red onion was an inspired combination. Sweet stuff looked great but the breakfast was generous and no room for more! Very enjoyable.
Fab Food Addict
All vegans and vegetarians need to get their butts down here :). Laid back freo-esque vibe, warm friendly staff and amazing food! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options that actually taste amazing (not an afterthought like so many cafes). Tried the four cheese and tomato tart with dollops of pesto ($7) which was full of flavour, crumbly texture that melted in your mouth. The highlight though was the vegan satay tempeh burger with cashew nut aoli, fresh rocket and beetroot on a pumpkin seed bun ($15).. wow i still have happy memories of that burger (and so much tastier than the vegetarian options at other popular burger joints which tend to taste dry and lack flavour). This place is a definite win for me! If you get a chance look around the shop, they have lots of interesting things for sale like raw bars packed with 100 blueberries, soy milk and free range eggs.. love!

Lovely lunch. Decided to go for a casual birthday lunch with a friend and my 2yo after reading the good reviews and we had a really pleasant lunch. It's quite a nice cosy cafe and there's a few tables outside too. I had a club sandwich which was brilliant - juicy chicken, crispy bacon and yummy sauce. My friend loved her frittata. There didn't seem to be anything particularly kiddy-friendly on the menu, but when I asked at the counter they offered to make a ham and cheese toasty which my daughter said was special. Not sure why. Anyway, we had a lovely feed and will definitely be back. Might try breakky.

Small but quaint - food is good!. The place isn't easy to find but it is worth it, if you get there early. It is a hole in the wall but worth the wait if need be - healthy options and the coffee is great. <br/><br/>Have only been here for breakfast but would go again. <br/>There is definitely a lack of good cafes in the area (without having to trek to Leederville, Subiaco or the coast) so this one is a winner if you live locally.
Goldhome
A little oasis.... In a concrete jungle.<br/>If you can find it there is a lovely quirky spot with fresh food, ecclectic decor, and freindly service. Our breakfast was great and cant wait to go back for lunch- their slices and salads looked homey fresh and yum!

Excellent food & service. We went to the Pearfect Pantry for breakfast. The menu shows lots of yummy items for breakfast and when the food actually came out, it looks much yummier. It is obvious to me that food is cooked with lots of love and care. Me and my husband really enjoy our breakfast. Coffee is so nice. <br/><br/>I would definitely go back for more and I would recommend this place to everyone.

Perfect Pantry of Hidden Goodies!. This place is out of the way and really quite hidden; yet its popularity proves that it is no secret. Obviously a case of word of mouth hard at work! <br/>Pearfect Pantry has become my families go-to breakfast place. It is just by Herdsman Lake so the perfect treat after an early Sunday walk. <br/>They have a wonderful selection of home made baking and a delicious menu of cooked breakfasts on offer. A favourite of mine is the breakfast bruschetta which (though not at a traditional bruschetta) is a generous serve of all things yummy piled high on olive ciabatta. <br/>The menu changes constantly which is a blessing in disguise. It means that each time you return you are disappointed that your favorite item has disappeared and are forced into sampling something new... only to discover that it is even better! <br/>The prices are fair, but not cheap; they use quality ingredients which are worth the cost, but all you bargain hunters out there will be happy to know that though they bake their goodies fresh each day they do sell 'yesterdays bake' for only $2 a muffin! <br/>And WHAT a muffin! They usually have 3 varieties on offer and have something to please the vegan, vego or chocolate lover! <br/>Their Chai is exceptional. Not the rubbish syrupy stuff that most cafes sell, but a blend of real spices. Its not sweet though, and a little spicy (so not for the kids). <br/>I have never been in for lunch, but it is on my to-do list!.

Excellent value voucher. We bought a voucher - $19 for two meals, two coffees and two juices, bargain! this little cafe has a great vibe, is nicely decorated, has air con inside and cute tables outside with a little garden. Varied and interesting menu, the meals were large, healthy and yummy. Definitely recommend :)

Delicious lunch. We just had a very tasty lunch at Pearfect Pantry. It's initially a little awkward to get to - but just park out the back and walk out the front, and you'll find it. Relaxed atmosphere, cute decorations, comfy couches - a nice spot to sit and chat. We both had the Beef burger and this was the best burger I've had in months - better than Grill'd. Turkish bread was used for the buns which was nice and crispy (I hate getting a mouthful of nothing but bun). Onion relish was tangy and tasted homemade. The burger patty was juicy and meaty rather than oily, definitely homemade. Burger included thick tomato slices, nice fresh salad leaves, cheddar slices, aioli and grilled bacon. All in all it tasted the way a burger should - fresh, simple, great flavours.<br/>Those reviewers who think the food was a bit average probably ordered the ready-to-go food out of the cabinet. There is a tiny little food menu on the counter which is the fresh hot food. <br/>Coffee was ok, unfortunately the Chai was a bit too spicy for my taste, I'll stick to coffee next time. Juice (in bottle) was nice.<br/>Thanks for a lovely lunch, we'll come again!

Great for vegans!. Just popped in here for breakfast with my mum after a bike ride around the lake on Saturday morning...can NOT believe I've never been here before (I've been meaning to for a while). We just had a serve of the fruit toast with maple butter and a vegan muffin with two decaf soy lattes, but it was all really enjoyable - and I can't wait to go back for some of the other cake and savoury vegan options. They even offer a breakfast vegan burrito with scrambled tofu. Pretty extraodinary for Perth. Good job I'll be back in a flash. <br/><br/>Kinda wish I lived in one of the unit blocks next door! I love that it's in such an unusual place to get to...I have seen the signs for ages and just never made it in. Glad I finally did!

Strange location. Looking at the street address took us to a carpark at the back of an apartment block. We saw a sign saying "Coffee 20m" so we followed the path through the middle of the block. We ended up almost on another road next to a Laundry and there is it Pearfect Pantry.<br/><br/>Few tables and chairs outside, clean inside which a nice chilled cabinet showing the various rolls and other savoury items on offer.<br/><br/>Yahava coffee is good as were the wrap and baked tart we had. <br/><br/>Worth a look in you are in the area

Tasty homemade treats. Like the variety of food available - both savoury & sweet, vegan options. Coffee is not bad but I had takeaway once and it tasted so diluted I had to throw it out. Was served by a young female staff who came off cold and unfriendly. Will return for the food but service can be improved.

Great place for a coffee and casual Sunday brunch. Good coffee. Always pretty full. Dogs are welcome at outdoor tables although they fill up quick! Great vegetarian options. Unusual location but it seems to work. It feels quite private set away from the road. Parking is easy to get closeby. Been back multiple times now!
Terrine De Lapin
Unusual spot for a cafe & a bit hard to find & then work out where to park. Looks like its in a small building that's part of the block of flats. So when you first arrive you feel a bit worried. Small cakes are nice but don't like my coffee which was average served in a mug. I think this place is more for their fan club.

Fairly disappointed after some positive reviews. Limited choice on the menu and service was poor. Lady behind the till did not get the order correct nor encourage us to self serve with the softdrinks once ordered. Food was fairly tasty but going in with high expectations it just didn't live up to the hype.
Spanna The Breakfast Snob
Cheap and nasty!. After all the positive reviews on here. What a disapointment! There is nothing I can compliment this place on. The decor is run down, the staff were disinterested and rude, I would find more in my empty fridge that on the mid-week breakfast menu here and the coffee was awful. The staff didn't even get the order right!<br/><br/>The only compliment I can give this place is that it's cheap...cheap and nasty! We will not be giving it a second chance.

Yum!. Just had lunch there, food was great, tea/coffee great, service was good and it was quite packed for cafe in the middle of nowhere. Love the baked goods too

Pearfection!. This lil' place was a former local of mine for well over a year. Over that time I witnessed it's evolution from something amazing into something extraordinary. The ladies are forever inventing and playing around with ideas and are very accommodating. You want more vege options, they gave us more vege options! Vegans in the area, well lets make sure there's a good selection of savoury and sweet items to be fair! Before I left I had tried almost anything I could get my hands on in this place and it's a real shame it now takes me so long to get there. Doesn't mean I won't make the journey every once in a while to satiate my cravings! Mmmm ginger bread caaakke and the dahl darl wrap *droools

Lovely quaint cafe, yum food and treats!. Just came back from here feeling happy to have found another lil gem amongst the suburbs. Located quite obscurely behind a laundromat on Herdsman Pde, this cafe has a retro vibe, lovely staff who make tasty food with vegan options! They serve organic coffee (which I sadly didn't have today) and they make superfood smoothies, awesome! After much deliberating I got the vegan eggplant and polenta stack and it was delish. There was lots to choose from including vegetarian tarts which looked amazing too.. next time! Their home made chai tea was v.nice. Oh and the vegan almond shortbread was soo tasty too.. and the gluten free florentine!! haha I got a bit greedy! I'm going back soon for a weekend brekky!

Impressed :). I had read good reviews about the food at Pearfect Pantry so decided to give it a go for breakfast. Pearfect Pantry is a laid back little cafe located near a large old apartment block, which is a little different and a little tricky to find. The atmosphere is very laid back and homely and quiet. I wasn't sure what to expect walking in there but certainly left very impressed!<br/><br/>Firstly, the servings were HUGE! Definitely great value for money. There were only a handful of choices but included all the favourites (eggs benedict, bacon and eggs etc... and a few novel other dishes). The food was very fresh and tasted like a "good freshly home cooked breakfast". Also ordered a blueberry and white choc muffin, which came out warm as if it was right out of the oven with huge choc chunks!! Absolutely delicious!! The coffees were perfect. The staff were extremely polite, relaxed and friendly and the service was prompt. <br/><br/>I will definitely be returning and recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome coffee, and the "large" is so ridiculously large I had to have a giggle. Refreshing to find a place where the food is what it says it is and tastes good. Breakfast and coffee for under $15. Can't argue with that.

Good Vibe. My friend mentioned to me that Pearfect Pantry had the yummiest food on the breakfast menu and that I should try it out. The place was hidden behind a laundromat and it gave it a secret, little hideway, which I liked. I went there this morning for brunch with a catch up with my friend and it was quite nice. It got quite busy whilst we were there. The food was nice and it had a good vibe. I had the poached eggs with toast, cherry tomatoes and goat curd with chorizos. It was tasty!

Almost Pearfect!. We loved the atmosphere and had good coffee, excellent eggs (both benedict and scrambled) and the bacon was perfect. The hostess in her polka dots was really sweet and the whole place had a gorgeous retro feel and cosiness. The only downsides were my daughters potato stack (not fried, kind of wet and peppery - fried would have been much better),and a table on its last legs (haha) which made me feel nervous. Overall we enjoyed it very much and will definitely go back.

Perths hidden secret. Great food and atmosphere.

On a near pearfect Sunday morning we stumbled across this quirky little place, the staff and the other patrons were very friendly and the atmosphere felt almost holiday-like. Then came the food, oh dear....I ordered bacon, eggs and toast, the bacon was a huge serving the poorest quality oink I've ever experienced, the eggs were pale & watery, and worst of all the toast wasn't toast, just a limp bagel! An uncooked bagel is not toast and the staff should have ATLEAST asked if a substitute was ok but no. I hope the owners read this as improving the food/chef would make this cafe a winner.

Tastes like love. I love strolling in here on a weekend morning, great lattes and lovely atmosphere, the person reviewing below me was on the ball when they said that you can taste the passion

Undecided - perfect or pear shaped?. Coffee was ok but served in mugs that were a little large and coffee was a little dark and slightly bitter. Having said that milk was well frothed and overall the coffee was significantly better than a fair few places around Perth, but not even in the same league as St Ali or Brother Bababudan in Melbourne. In fact I'm yet to find somewhere in Perth that is, although this isn't helped by the fact that I am generally only in Perth over Christmas and half the places are shut.<br/><br/>I had "Eggs Benny" for brekky, which was basically eggs benedict with some spinach. Hollandaise sauce was really good - light, creamy and just the right amount of tang. Eggs were ok but slightly overdone with only a small amount of yoke still runny. They were served with two fairly large, thick slices of wholemeal toast. There was too much bread for me and it was not particularly memorable. Ham was inoffensive and spinach was nice. Overall I was quite impressed with the dish but it could do with some refinement - less, but nicer toast and eggs with runny yokes.<br/><br/>My partner ordered avocado on toast. Again the toast itself was less than impressive. The avocado was nice but was a little overdone with lemon or lime juice and had way too much coriander. This dish had potential but was not very impressive as it stands.<br/><br/>The bill was about $37 for the 2 breakfasts and coffees which is expensive by Melbourne standards but I'm not sure how that compares in Perth. I think $15 or so for eggs benedict is OK but the avocado toast I think was a little expensive.<br/><br/>Overall I'd say this place has potential but I'm not hurrying back.

Great coffee & amazing food you can taste the love and passion in every mouthful.

If you have even a mild fondness for pears, it is fair to say you’ll feel at home at the ‘Pear’fect pantry. Yellow and green pears are just everywhere you look, the decor is so quirky, it’s just wonderful.

The ‘Pear’fect Pantry is small, in a little odd location, but don’t let that fool you. I had wanted to visit The ‘Pear’fect Pantry for ages, and they didn’t let us down. This one is literally a hidden gem. Vegan, gluten-free, raw!

The coffee was fine for the standards of a non-connoisseur like me. I liked the serving size and it consisted of what you'd expect, hash brown, tomato, sausage, toast, poached egg, bacon and some spinach. Overall it wasn't anything spectacular, simply what you would expect from a "big breakfast" type meal. It was pleasant and I would probably pop back in the next time I'm in the area, but otherwise it wouldn't be something I'd be specifically coming back to anytime soon.
Take Me To Foodie Heaven
Situated in the middle of the Wembley suburb along Herdsman Parade lies a little cafe behind a Laundromat called “Pearfect Pantry”. Yes, it is a hidden gem and it is quite easy to miss it. A handy hint – keep your eyes out for the Laundromat and you should be able to see signs pointing you to the right direction. When Matt and I arrived at Pearfect Pantry, we realised that we were half an hour late and had missed out on breakfast. But that’s ok, because we were still keen on lunch. I had the 5 Spice Crispy Pork Belly Baguette with Pickled Vegetable and Hoisin Sauce ($15). The Pork Belly Baguette reminded me of a traditional Vietnamese Banh Mi. It was very generous in portion and the pork belly was crispy and full of flavour. Matt agreed that the pork belly was really good too! Overall, the 5 Spice Crispy Pork Belly Baguette was delicious and fresh in flavour. After seeing what I ordered, Matt said that he would actually go back to Pearfect Pantry and have the 5 Spice Crispy Pork Belly

Sandwiches consisted of brie with avocado, ham, brie and chilli onion jam, smoked salmon and cucumber, date and cream cheese.

The sweet crepes perfectly complemeted the other saltier breakfast item. With a generous serving of berry compote, the crepes quickly became juicy and soft. The sweet, tart flavour cut through the creamy yoghurt. I am seriously impressed by yoghurt on crepes, despite my love of ice-cream. Walnuts added new texture and flavour - I just wished there were more pieces!
The Sneaky Pigeon
On an mission to find the best brownie in Perth, the gluten free raspberry-chocolate brownie was my pick of the sweet stuff. The brownie was good but i can't say it was worth the $5.50 it cost me.
Tannic Teeth
Savoury goats cheese and fig tart, chicken and bacon baked risotto, white chocolate and blueberry cupcakes. The list could be a stock-ticker at the bottom of a foodies’ thoughts.

The Pearfect Pantry puts an emphasis on local and fresh produce - something I'm fond of. An example was the fruit juices being derived from 100% Australian fruit, and not from concentrate. Also, the coffees are made with Yahava beans - organic and roasted down South.
The Breakfast Confidential
The ‘Pear’fect Pantry is definitely one for you if you’re having breakfast with friends or family who “require” different types of meals. The chef, Mel Holly, has put a lot of thought into the menu and their claim that all food is made with passion you can taste is not just lip service – the sweetness of that pumpkin is not something I will forget quickly. This cafe really is… absolutely “pearfect”.<br/>
The Food Pornographer
We must’ve just rocked up at a bad moment (yes, the cafe was definitely open). But beyond that pear-shaped beginning, we enjoyed nice coffee and wholesome, simple, tasty food. I’d still like to return to The ‘Pear’fect Pantry for breakfast on a weekend.
Poached Perth
Pearfect's Facebook page gives an idea of the types of food they offer, including bacon, apple & smokey cheddar-baked risotto, creamy chicken & spinach pie, raw vegan chocolate cake, passionfruit & white chocolate muffins, & more - all good-sounding lunch things. Our blog is not called 'Panini'd Perth', so we were interested to note that Pearfect has a gourmet brekky menu. Pearfect is located behind a laundrobar in a set of units. The wonderful world of doughnut-shaped buildings is only visible from the air; from the street it is more old units and rows of letterboxes. The laundrobar serves the units, and our guess is that the building Pearfect is located in might have been a common room for the units. Add some customers who looked like they have just come back from a swim somewhere or just looking gene
