Awesome little cafe.
Milkd have got it when it comes down to the basics.
Nothing over complicated or plastic. Just good genuine service, great coffee and fantastic pastries.
Great fast service, food tasted fresh and delish.
Had the tomato, Greek feta and Avo added a poached egg on a sourdough toast 👌 hubby had the apple and cinnamon bircher muesli, great serving size and just right.
This place has a relaxed vibe, lovely coffee & friendly staff.
I had the feta, tomato & avo on g/f toast - most delicious. Was too hungry to remember to take a photo 😆
Good coffee, friendly staff, phone orders make it very convenient for breakfast in a hurry. Try their Melt toasted sandwich such a good toastie! Rest of menu is good. Coffee here once a week.
Local coffee stop. Staff are great well trained coffee is average to good but quite variable. Changing barista every minute it seems doesn't help. They don't get that some people like their coffee the same each time not a variation on a theme. Food is basic but okay.
My regular stop for coffee and snacks. Plenty of choice around Maylands but I keep coming back to Milkd. The staff are cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable, the coffee's good, the place is cool without being pretentious. Can't comment on the breakfasts but for coffee and cake, no complaints. (And they have gluten-free options - tick!)
My fave in Maylands. It helps that this place is within walkable distance from my house but the food is good and the place is nice and funky. In comparison to its completion Mrs S - well worth going to as there is never a long wait before you eat. good for smaller groups, max 4 people as the settings are quite small
Wow Amazing! We came for Brunch, coffee is the best ever! Everything on the Milk Plate was so tasty :) highky recommended
Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised, overall service and food was great including the menu options. Atmosphere and ambience could be improved considering how busy it gets but all in all would definitely return.
Always loved this place and the food and coffee are still good but the atmosphere has gone way downhill, too many rude and grumpy staff, today the girl making the coffee swore right in front of me as she wiped the scribbles off the service counter, clearly in a foul mood about something. No longer a pleasant experience , sadly

Pretty Good!. Everything along my favourite Mayland’s strip is closed on a Monday, so my family and I made a quick lunch pit stop at Milkd. Milkd was crammed with people when we arrived, a waitress whizzing around quickly sweeping up plates on the table and wiping them down. The three of us settled down with the daily newspaper in the corner and checked out their menu.
Milkd has a standard range of breakfast items, and while nothing jumped out at me I was incredibly dehydrated and settled for the Soup of the Day. The bustling waitress informed me that the soup of the day was potato, potato & leek which is my favourite combination for a Winters Day.
The lady at the till was bright and friendly, ducking back between my orders to scribe down our chosen items. Luckily they had PayPass, which increased the efficiency of the ordering system. My sister also specifically wanted a brewed chai (with tea leaves) and the barista was quick to inform me that he could make us a black chai. Finally! A barista who actually knows what I’m talking about! The lady at the till was also happy to give me some soy milk on the side (on the house too, which was lovely of her and incredibly rare in the precinct of Perth).
My sister’s black chai ($4.00) came out in a little red tea pot, with her soy milk and a teacup. She absolutely loved the chai – she thought it was the best one she has had for a while. She also had the Tomato, Greek Fetta & avocado with black pepper & olive oil on toasted sour dough toast ($11.50). Out of the three it was the most visually appealing, two thick wedges of avocado sprinkled with ground pepper, massive slabs of fetta and equally large rounds of fresh tomato sitting atop the toast. Propped against it was another slice of toast and a potato fritter. The fetta had a nice lemony acidity and the dish as a whole would have pleased a vegetarian eater. The potato fritter was like a compacted portion of mashed potato and had an interesting flavour to it that I couldn’t quite pinpoint.
My Soup of the Day ($10) with sourdough toasties was pretty good too. It was a chunky blend of hot potato, bacon and leek that was nicely flavoured. I devoured it pretty quickly. The sour dough toasties were two pieces of lightly toasted and buttered sourdough that complimented the dish well.
My friend had the Bacon and Omelette ($10.90) , which the lady at the register was quick to inform us it was a toasted sandwich with tomato, spinach omelette and caramelised onion with smoky BBQ. He really enjoyed the mango flavoured blob of jam that went alongside it, which gave the whole dish a nice zing.
I quite enjoyed the service at Milkd, and they also do a mean soup (and a very good Chai). All in all, I thought Milkd was a decent place to eat for lunch. They also have some interesting items in their cabinet that I would be keen to try out for next time, and the brownies (counter bound) also looked appetising.
Seven and a Half out of Ten Soup of the Days
Best Mochas. Been here a few times but the most recent visit was roughly a month ago and I believe they have a new barista he was awsome! mochas were seriously the best I have had to date!!!
Our favourite coffee & sandwich place on our beloved 8th Avenue strip, and by far, the most warmly welcoming cafe in the area. We love Milkd because it doesn't have that 'you're-not-our-kind' air a couple of the others on 8th/Whatley put on. Thank you, Milkd, for embracing the colourful and varied people of Maylands!
Coffee & cake - good coffee, yummy cake, friendly genuine service, comfy chairs - so all good!
Love it!. I love the coffee, the staff are friendly, the service is fantastic.. the food is great (I wish they hadnt taken the mushroom & ricotta off their menu tho) I come here at least 3 times a week, love its vibe.
Decent coffee although a little burnt tasting.
Good coffee, it's the only cafe open in Maylands on the weekend after 4pm
Consistent. If all the other cafes in Maylands have queues coming out their doors, Milkd is not a bad alternative. Bonus points for opening on Public Holidays with a smile.
Food worth the price, good and consistent standard.
Food came out quite quick this time around. Had avoided Milkd for awhile due to a 20min+ wait for breakfast sometime last year.
My regular local. Yummy coffee, friendly service and try the mini salami with that orange chutney yum!
Like another reviewer, I was hoping to visit Mrs S on a Monday morning, only to find it closed. I have previously been to Milkd in north Perth and been impressed, so was happy to have breakfast here. I had tomato, avacado and Greek feta on toast (plus a poached egg) and my partner had the bacon stack, both with iced coffees. The food arrived promptly, and despite being relatively simple, was delicious. In total cost about $43. Good value and a yummy breakfast. The banana bread and muffins look delicious too, am keen to try next time!
Avo Evoo Tomato Mmmmm. The above always satisfies. Whatever the feta cheese is that they're using it's deluxe and I can't get enough of it! The coffee is always lush. A local fave!
Love this place. Great food, great coffee and friendly service. Thank you.
Best poached eggs on the strip! Always get the mushrooms with baked fetta dish, with a poached egg on sourdough, at 14.50 is a great vege dish. And coffee goes fast aswell.
Great quirky cafe in Maylands. We had the toasties and enjoyed the flavours. A bit small for the prices but yummy. The raspberry macaron was fresh and delicious.
Food was good. $13 for eggs on toast & $4 more for 5 slices of mushrooms was a bit steep for me. Service was friendly. Coffee was average, didn't go back for seconds. Overall we were happy.
Ok coffee. Food below average. Nice setup and ambience. Very expensive for what the products are like. Okay for a weekend.
JoyP. Fantastic coffee, as at all milkd
Best Milk'd. Yum! This is the best of the Milk'd branches. Theyre all excellent but this one is most consistent. Coffee is grand!
Very impressed - service was friendly, coffee good, and the most delicious scrambled eggs. Pity I don't live closer by!
I have never had a bad coffee in this place. Always a pleasant experience.
Coffee. Flat white a tad too milky, but the coffee flavour was superb, raspberry macaron flavoursome, but I'm sure that flavour is not real! Wifi great (everyone in there in the arvo had the laptops out).
Good coffee but not the best scrambled eggs. This was one our favourite spots when my partner was living around the area. Coffee is always good and a good selection of breakfast items - my partner's all time favourite being the avocado, tomato and fetta on turkish bread and my favourite being the Milk'd plate (big breakfast with the inclusion of chorizo-like sausage and fetta).
They used to make good scrambled eggs but now they taste rubbery, watery and just not egg-like, the switch to a different type of smoked salmon is also of lesser quality than before.
Try the banana bread. Good experience.
Strong pot of tea- tick
Delish banana bread- toasted with butter- big tick
Friendly staff- tick
Hooray- a good experience
Crispy!. The tables might be the size of kiddie's play set but it's a minor annoyance....service and coffee are good, they have enough newspapers to go around and they make my toasties the way I like them.....really crispy...this morning's salami, provolone and roasted capsicum was a lip smackingly good combination. The fetta on Mr FatCat's Mild plate could have been creamier but the scrambled eggs were the nicest I've sneaked off his plate in a long time.

Good food and coffee. what more is there to say?
Delicious everytime .... Everything we have ever had has been great & reasonably priced - definatley in the top 5 best coffee shops - luv it luv it luv it!!
Yummmy. Their velvet cupcakes were devine; baked to perfection. The salad was also very nice, and the portion size was good enough for 2 people to share (which means you can fit more cupcakes in ;) ). And of course the coffee is a must! Even if that is the only thing you get, it is all you need to be hooked. Definitely go there and check it out!

Gr8 coffee. We are regulars to this coffeehouse & whilst the coffee is not as nice as the North Perth site it is still really nice (& it's located closer to home)
staff can be moody, and sometimes rather unfriendly however the coffee is fantastic! food is great - I especially like one of their breakfast options - sourdough toast with the italian sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, tomato & houlumi cheese - delish!
I dream of Milkd poached eggs as I can't make them anywhere close to the perfection of Milkd! Try the bacon stack or the green eggs & ham or even go the whole way with a Milkd plate - you won't regret it! Washed down by what I think is the BEST coffee in Perth and served by friendly busy but attentive staff - it's hard to beat and I'm so glad Maylands is my local x

This cafe isn't really on my way to anywhere but I will drive just to get their soy lattes! Best I've had in Perth. The food is scrummy and I recommend the beans with an added side of a poached egg!
Our Local. This is our local.... we love the coffee and our favourite breakfast is the feta, avocado and tomato on Sourdough... it is so delicious. The staff are friendly and the food is great. Keep up the great work....
Not as nice, well I should say organized as the north Perth cafe but I'd go back, good vibe about the place too
Yumm!. Their banana smoothies are absolutely delious and they do a mean breakfast.
Milkd seriously has the best coffee in town, every time!
I go every weekend for the poached eggs on toast. They are so good that i don't order poached eggs anywhere else!

Have you ever had an experience that you can’t wait to revisit, that you enjoy so much that you go back again and again and again? Well this is how we experienced the Milk’d bacon stack at a time where we were only just discovering the wonders of breakfasting.

Milkd in Maylands is the sister to the flagship Milkd cafe in North Perth. I have been to both cafe's, so don't worry about missing out on anything by going to one or the other, as they virtually the same.. even down to the type of people frequenting the
Went between 7:45 to 8:20. Great service, not too crowded, not too over hyped. Theme is relaxed enough to be enjoyable. Coffee was quite good (reg Flat White 1x sugar) - could taste the roast and enjoyed it as it wasn't a bland cup of coffee. The breakfast burger was phenomenal, my wife and I thoroughly liked it. Would reccomend for a brekkie or brunch date. Prices on cups are average; 12 bucks is about what you can expect for a good brekkie.
Went to Milkd today for the first time.
Had breakfast & coffee.
Was the best brekky I have had & the service was fabulous.
The ladies were very nice & friendly.
Will definately be my choice of cafes.
Keep up the good work...
I haven't had food here but I've had coffee a few times, it was amazing. Love the decor and the employee's had good customer service!
