I had the most amazing function here on Friday night. The staff, food, venue were great. The service was professional yet friendly and the canapes were delicious. Peoples feedback from the function has been great
We had the calamari, chicken salad and market fish of the day. All cooked to perfection, very delicious and enjoyable with perfect flavour combinations on each plate. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
Best Christmas party ever, venue, food, staff everything was amazing. It was so easy to organise this event! Will be back for any other events I have in future
I had a function here on Saturday night for 100 people. The service was outstanding, as was the food and the venue. Brooke the co-ordinator made it easy from start to finish. We will be back
Went to dinner with my girlfriend and would highly recommend. Food was good, lamb and arancini were a stand out. Service was friendly and staff were fun. Good beer selection wish they had coopers pale ale. If you want a good night definitely give it a go

I had dinner on Thursday evening with 8 people. The service was amazing, we were told about the feast offer for the table and decided why not, and what a great decision that was. We had a great selelction of options from the menu and everyone left so full, this is one of the best meals i have had in Perth in the last two years. Food and staff superb
We had our work christmas do here and really enjoyed the buffet. In our selection there was king prawns, gnocchi, potato salad, sirloin steak, cold meats and all sorts of salads. Didn't expect the food to be that flash to be honest but was actually very impressed! The location is good and we had good views overlooking onto the busy city streets.
Great place for Friday arvo drinks, the place is buzzing and unpretentious. Well worth taking advantage of their half price/$10 cocktail specials because they don't skimp on the booze. I've had dinner there once and was really too inebriated to care about what I was eating. So to reiterate - good cocktails.
We came here for a work function and the staff are really friendly and served us straight away. They had half price cocktails and cheap pizzas. We ordered fries, arancini balls, pork belly pizza and Thai beef pizza. They were tasty and not badly priced. The best cocktails by far would have to be the nut espresso martini and the agent provocateur. The Gin Tea Party pitcher was a real hit!

Although there was no one else in sight, we took our chances as the bar man was friendly and the menu was enticing (and the kitchen was open!) With only two types of rose on the wine list I asked for the “dry” option, but the barman was more than generous in letting me try each before placing my order. I ordered myself a glass of Rose and an Aperol Spritz for the American before we took the menu and sat outside on a relaxed lounge in the sunshine. After looking through the fairly extensive menu, we opted to share the Mushroom Arancini Balls and the Roasted Pumpkin, Goats Cheese & Rocket Pizza.The meals were delivered to our table quickly which was expected due to the lack of people about, but the service and friendly staff made the atmosphere and our experience so enjoyable. Oh and the food was divine- plentiful and flavoursome…not what I expected for a “pub feed”.
Located in this super convenient location- adjacent from the Perth Convention Centre, I would definitely recommend Metro Bar and Bistro for a preconcert meal or for an afterwork drink!
I've only ever been to this place for a work function that I organized but the food got so many compliments from our group of 100 people. The canapés are really yummy and fresh. They always have lunch specials which are in my list to try sometime soon. Recommend!
Metro was recommended to me by a friend so I decided to check it out with my partner on Friday night, I had a pleasant experience on the night the staff were warm and welcoming, and they had some very inexpensive specials like the $10 pizza which was great for the price. It was busy on the nite but we didn't have to wait long for our meals and afterwards we hung around and had some drinks and my partner had some half price cocktails on special, altogether we had a great experience it really is a hidden gem in the city, good relaxing atmosphere inexpensive food. I will be returning :)
Attached to a predominantly business hotel-apartment next to a conference centre, it's not exactly the thriving night spot, but I found the service good and the breakfasts more than adequate.
Perth Breakfest Treat. In town for just the week and wanted to post my first review on Urban spoon.. My friends in melbourne use it alot and I never have never felt like posting. However, I'm here in perth and I was recommended the Metro by a friend who had stayed in the Building on another trip. I wasn't staying here; but was a short walk away and decided I'd give it a try. My company was flipping the bill at my accomodation; but i had faith in my friends taste and took a risk on trying the Metro! I'm so Glad i did!
She recommeded the Brie and Bacon Tart or if i felt like something lighter, the Muesli. I decided on the tart after the staff member also recommended it to me as a real 'winner'!
I just wanted to get the word out there about this venue. I will recommend it to my friends, just as mine has to me! We will be back every time we are in Perth. Thanks Metro!!!! You were great!
I walked in for dinner tonight. Staying in the Hilton for a night on business and did not feel like room service. Great! Decor great, nice music, service and food great. Had the lamb, feta and rocket pizza with shoestring fries. Very good. Will be back
Great lunch. Went for lunch with a group of work colleagues. We had one hour to eat and return to the office. We were all thoroughly impressed with the quick and friendly service as well as the yummy food. I had the baby beet, pumpkin, quinoa and spiced walnut salad. It was really tasty
Valentines Bliss. I was lucky enough to spend a sensationally romantic Valentines evening at the Metro Bar and Bistro with my fiance. We had no plans, and showed up at what seemed to be the end of the main dinner seating, hoping to get a table; The venue was happy enough to accomodate us, and I'm so glad they did.
The atmosphere and energy of the place was first class; as was the service we received from the staff.
My steak was a beautifully large cut of meat and my fiances had the peri peri salad. My fiance found the salad to be a bit spicier than she normally likes (She is a bit of a light weight when it comes to the spicier side of life!!!!), but still really enjoyed what she was presented with.
I've never done an Urbanspoon before; but after my Valentines experience at Metro Bar and Bistro, I believed writing a small review would be the least I could do to thank them for the wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. Thanks Metro.
I just came down as I saw the Monday night specials. $10 for a 300gm sirloin and chips! Surely not? It was a little difficult to find as it is actually at the convention centre, but true to the advert, $10 specials included this gem. I still thought that surely it would be terrible. But no. A great piece of sirloin, cooked exactly how I had asked ( often a rarity with specials) with a great peppercorn sauce and well salted and fresh chips. The staff were friendly, helpful and really seemed to enjoy their roles. Honestly ? I didn't want to tell anyone as I wanted to keep this place to myself. But the staff and owners deserve success for being one of the few places I could come to every evening. Oh. And the decor and mood is relaxed and comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor areas. Come down and show your appreciation. Thanks guys and gals for an amazingly well valued meal. :)

Generous portion sizes. We were a bit dubious entering the near-empty restaurant on one of the busiest days of the year (Australia Day) and seeing all of the half-finished meals on the outside tables. But rather than fight the crowds lining up for food vans on the foreshore, we decided to give it a go.
Good move!
The staff may have been a bit slow in clearing the tables, but the reason the food was left over was because the portion sizes are HUGE. My friend ordered the biggest steak sandwich I have ever seen in a Perth restaurant. Sure, it was a bit -too- big (there seemed to be more cheese than bread!) but it would easily serve two people. Same for the other dishes we ordered. All were fine - not outstanding, but "nice" and, again, good for Perth.
The restaurant has $10 specials on most week days - I'd be curious to check them out. Even if they were only 1/2 portions of the "regular" menu, they would still be great value.
A good option if you're staying at the hotel or visiting the conference centre and don't want to head into the city/NB.
Great hidden city gem. Popped in for a bite and was amazed at the $10 specials. It was a Monday and we had a sirloin steak great quality, great price, great atmosphere. Service was good too. Keep it up we will be back

Had dinner. Crab & coriander linguini for me. Nice just too much coriander. Eye fillet for him. Very happy, cooked blue ( lots of restaurants can't get this right). Dessert ok. Coffee great. Service brilliant. Atmosphere modern urban comfortable.
Just had dinner here! It was really busy and loud but was a great meal and the service was great. I reccomend giving this a go for drinks or dinner.
Ideal for Corporate Events!!. I’d just like to say how wonderful our experience was at Metro Bar and Bistro. It is a fantastic venue, plenty of parking, lovely decor, the staff and service was exceptional and I will be all too happy to recommend to others!
Great Place. Went there for lunch with a friend not long ago. The calamari was delicious, definitely the best I have had. Great place to have a snack or a few drinks after work, and one of the few places in town which are not overcrowded and you are still able to talk.

As a returning diner of this restaurant I was once again impressed with the attentive service of the staff and fresh produce used in all meals that were delivered to our table. I would highly recommend the risotto. My partner ordered a pizza and was also very impressed. I would not hesitate to recommend the metro bar and bistro to all of my friends and family and can't wait until my next visit.
Great light snack before a night out. Even though it was difficult to get a table I had the arancini balls and they were delightful. It came with three large balls with some sauce drizzled near by. Great size for an entree

Amazing Wedding Venue and fantastic for dinner!!. We had our Wedding Reception on March 3rd 2013 at the Metro Bar and Bistro and could not have been more delighted..The service was impeccable, the chefs were amazing, the food was raved about by all our guests and the location was amazing.
Our wedding contact at Metro was Brooke, who was professional, helpful and did everything in her power to make our day perfect. She answered emails promptly and always had time to help us with any queries we had..particulary in the final week leading up to the wedding.
The venue is a cool, funky place anyway but the staff really put the finishing touches on the decorations and it looked fabulous.
We were served an amazing array of wines and beers with the friendly bar staff making sure our glasses were never empty.
The floating entree was plentiful and spectacular (oh the king prawns!!!) and kept up fo the entire hour. Followed by delicious dips and warm ciabatta on each of the tables.
Our mains were a choice of wild mushroom rissotto with truffle oil or a scotch fillet with parmesan mash, vegetables and a red wine jus. All tables had a great salad and vegetables. It was overwhelming how many of our guests sent their compliments to the chefs.
There were great options for the children too which we appreciated.
The dessert was a HUGE selection of lollies for the Candy Buffet in the wedding colours of red, black and white, with some delicious chocolate covered strawberries which was a suprise to us and much appreciated.
Overall our experience was phenominal here, the price was right, the food was amazing and the staff were friendly and consumate professionals.
We ate at the Metro many times in the lead up to our wedding and tried food off the different menus they have had. I have not had a bad meal there ever!
I cannot say enough if you are looking for a wedding reception venue that has a cool city vibe stop looking and book in for a meal and try them out...if you are not looking for a wedding venue and are just after a lunch or dinner..try them they are the best in Perth!!
Great Dinner. Just had dinner with friends at the Metro Bar and Bistro and it was a fantastic night. Great food, I had the chicken escalope and I would recommend it, in fact I will be going back to have another one very soon. My friends have a crab salad and a HUGE riib eye and both were excellent. Certainly a place worth checking out in the Perth CBD.
Amazing , we dined he on Australia Day, the chef greeted us, the table was beautifully presented out, the staff gave us a really one on one experience, I don't usually write reviews but our food was fantastic and made my night I want to thank them.

I always find it hard to choose what to order as its a great menu with yummy food! This time i had the lamb & feta cigars & my friend ordered the snapper with skordalia puree which was tasty as. My favourite was the chocolate fondant its was AMAZING!!!
Overall yummy food, friendly staff and a really nice wine list. Thanks for a great dining experinece Metro!!

Had a good meal. Wow I'm really surprised at the other review who had the same saffron linguine that I had last night. Must have been a different chef!
Mine was delicious - beautiful freshly made linguine and perfectly cooked. My partner agrees with the other review that the prawns weren't too fresh (he says "tasted too prawny"). I actually thought they were ok (and haven't suffered this morning :), however they were very slightly overcooked for my liking, I like them still a bit clear inside with a crunch but they were ok and I got 7 of them. Only suggestion I would make is it would have been nice if the prosciutto was cooked separately so it was crispy and put on top, instead of cooked in with the rest of the ingredients so was soggy. I thoroughly enjoyed it anyway. My partner had the blackboard special which was a scotch fillet salad with grilled capsicum, crostini, cramelised onion and a balsamic reduction. He was very happy.
For dessert we had another blackboard special which was the chocolate brulee with frangelico cream with two big sesame snaps on top. Absolutely delicious and a good deal at $10 and big enough for 2 to share.
I've also organised work functions at this venue and the food platters have always been quality and generous. I like this place.
the pizza was tasty ($20), it was a good portion, especially for the type of restaurant we were at. I had about 4 slices and shared the rest out.
