If you're looking for the best food this is not where I'd go it's definitely not bad but I wouldn't say It's something amazing either But on the other hand if you're wanting a nice cake or a slice I couldn't recommend the Queen Silva Cake or a Princess Cake any more

Ordered a cake but a girl from the shop called and informed that they’ve made the wrong cake. This was in the very last minute and I ordered that for a special occasion. I requested them to make a new one. But the lady who picked up the phone rudely said they can’t make a new one. It’s disappointing to see such behaviour being the fault in their hand. No customer can trust this place at all. Very unprofessional staff too.

I had to put a star for this to be posted, but really no stars here they don't deserve any!.. My husband and I visited for a coffee and cake while we were in the city on appointments. We ordered two Cappuccinos with princess cake. Well the very young waitress brought the coffee to us slopping it into the sauces as she walked it to us. She put them down on the table, two coffees slopped into both saucers and she said in a very weak voice 'sorry' and walked off. She didn't even think to come back to clean up her mess! The other thing was that they were not cappuccinos as the "liquid" (and I call it liquid as it wasn't coffee but a weak, milky liquid) was almost to the brim. A Cappucino is 1/3 coffee, 1/3 milk and 1/3 froth, it does not spill when walked to the customer. This was a flat white and a very FLAT white at that, like dishwater. I wanted to complain, but my hubby said no, it would spoil our day out, I kept the peace. The "coffee" if I can call it that was also luke warm, my hubby drank his straight down, BUT the princess cake was lovely. The staff are not trained properly on Serving and to have Pride in their work. The floors were filthy with crumbs and bits of food under all tables. I saw another coffee made and slopped everywhere at the counter, the waitress emptied the swimming saucer out and delivered the coffee to the customer. The cup was soiled all down the outside with runs from the spillage and she thought nothing of it to present it in that condition. This should be an embarrassment to the owners. Many bad reviews here over time but nothing has been done to fix it. The owners should not be in the business of serving bringing down the once good name of Miss Maudes.

Miss Maud's Carillon City is always good for a quick good quality lunch. The standard of the food is always reliable and they do have new lunch offerings regularly. Recommended.

Lovely little cozy cafe in the heart of the CBD. I feel like I am at my nana house it's so warm and cozy. Friendly staff and coffee and food was top notch. Champagne stuff, lovely grapes.

I didn't know about this hidden gem. It's inside Carillion City Plaza so not seen when you are walking down the mall. The place is very nice, quiet and onobtrusive. The scroll and coffee I ate were delicious. It's not do secret now I know it's there. I'll happily dine there again next time I'm in the city.
Vorhees a jolly good fellow
I've been here on 3 occasions, the 3rd being my final visit. I always ordered a coffee (very average brew for a place that prides itself on its coffee), and usually a cake from the display. Service is polite, but be prepared for a loooooooong wait. Even if it's not packed, you'll still on average wait around 10 minutes for the beverage to arrive at the table. Not good enough by a long chalk. Cakes weren't particularly fresh either.

Great coffee but that's where it stopped! The one star is for the coffee and the staff We were served a great coffee by a lovely girl and expected the meal we ordered to be the same - wrong!! Very overcooked and dry schnitzel, cold soggy chips and a pathetic miniature salad and dry stale Turkish bread - at least the filling was ok. This cook should be sacked! If coffee and cake are their speciality they should just stick to that. We won't be back!
